Scott griffin, he does have a long rap sheet. Hes been held at Police Headquarters in center city philadelphia. We are told he should be formally charged with a number of charges in just a few hours from now. This is a picture of scott griffin. He has 14 prior arrests according to Court Records for things like drugs, weapons and theft. This is Philadelphia Police yesterday afternoon arresting him after an hours long manhunt in the shooting of officer James Mccollough sunday night pep interrupted a carjacking with griffin and another suspect when mccollough was shot in the leg. Griffin had been in jail less than a week ago but was let go off a judge cited lack of evidence because several witnesses did not show up to testify. Now, yesterday evening officer mccollough was released from the hospital and at this hour, he is home recovering with family. He is 24 years old. Hes engamed to be married. Were told he has a young daughter and hes been on the Philadelphia Police force for the last two years. Coming up in the next 25 minutes youll hear from some of his closest friends about what they thought when they first heard that he was shot by a suspect.
