This morning Philadelphia Police are investigating 11 shootings or stabbings that have rocked the city over the past two days. The latest is the shooting of a teenager in a wheelchair in west oak lane. Nbcs Denise Nakano has more information. Reporter it all happened around 8 15 last night in the 27 block of limekiln pike. He was shot one time in the face, another time in the lower back. Investigators recovered three shell casings three feet away from the empty wheelchair. Why he would get shot its a total mystery to me. Why he would shoot swhoun was defensive in a wheelchair. Reporter the suspects were last seen dressed in hoodies running down limekiln pike. Police believe a teenage shooting victim was an innocent bystander when bullets starting flying. Investigators say it started as an argument between two men on green street. One took a bull tote the head. That person is in critical condition. A 16yearold was hit in the knee and arm and is now recovering. This shooting began when the street was filled with children. There were some really upset children, you know. Their parents were rushing them into their friends house so they could be you know, calm down, relax a little. This Morning Police are still looking for the shooter. Its 4 05, and happening today, a man accused of ambushing a Philadelphia Police officer and shooting him three times at point blank range is appearing in court. He hit jesse archer, he says, in the name of islam. Archer is charged with attempted murder. A man has plead guilty to raping a 6yearold boy. He told the court. He knew he was hiv infected. Police say task arranged the crime over the internet with another man who also faces charges. Task could get up to 60 years in prison when hes sentenced in june. This morning families who live in a high rise are back in their home after a fire forced them to leave their building. The fire started on the sixth floor. No one was hurt.
