His mother called for help because she says her son was emotionally disturbed and had a history of suffering from paranoia and schizophrenia. At some point, the individual started to go at the ems personnel. Our officers who were outside heard the commotion, they went in and he started to come at the officer. At that point, they left them no choice, they fired, and unfortunately they had to take this young individuals life. The coleman tells a different story. She says she was in the hallway with when police came rushing in. And they just bust in, knocked me down. My son down. Im right there. He had a knife and all this, thats not true.
