Reporter police are telling me three people have died yesterday and they are saying that one of those people that died was the husband of the suspect, the wife currently in jail right now. Lets take you to pictureses, this is the victim, police saying this is 40yearold Giovanni Gambino right there. Authorities tell me around 8 00 last night they got a call to the home on alexislucia road in alexis. Police to do a welfare check. Police found three adults who died of apparent gunshot wounds in the house. Again, the one picture you saw, 40yearold Giovanni Gambino identified as one of the victims, he lived in the home. Police are trying to identify the other victims but they believe they were just visiting that home. Take you to the picture this is 40yearold crystal gambino, arrested a short time later in stanley, charged with first degree murder in the death of her husband. Now again, i spoke with neighbors at the scene this morning, they tell me that giovanni was a talkative, friendly person. They described the gunshots they heard early yesterday morning. Take a listen. Sounded like a sledge hammer hitting, like a loud racquet, tearing down a building is what it sounded like to me, loud, real loud. Reporter crystal gambino is currently in the Gaston County first degree murder charge and more charges are expected to come as soon as those other victims are identified. A woman is found shot in the parking lot of the no, sir Cross Townhomes, those townhomes off griers grove road, off beaties ford road. It is one of three Police Scenes that have been worked overnight in this one case. Wbtvs Mark Davenport broke the story this morning. He is live in that area so mark, what can you tell us at this hour that you know . Reporter i can tell you this is about a milelong of crime scenes, there is three different want to till a couple different locations of where all this happened this morning. So first of all, where i am right now, just cleared, this is caps hill mine road, and we had police shut down this road earlier. This road is now open to traffic, as you see a couple cars pass us, those are the police cars that were further down the road in front of a Residential Home where they found shell casings. This may have been the area where everybody started this morning. That is why police were processing the scene here. We have video well show you now of the area before police left the scene here, a bunch of different cop cars blocking the area. You had Police Officers and csi teams looking for evidence out here, collecting shell casings. I saw them come back with a bag full of evidence. That is what they took from this location. There is two other locations to talk about. Both of them at griers grove road and beaties ford road. At that intersection on the corner there, a car pulled up to Police Officers, saying his car was shot at possibly coming from police process had scene. The real big scene, the first scene i went to was further down griers grove at north Cross Townhomes, that is where a woman was shot in the head. They dont know whether or not she walk to that area from this area or if she was driven to that area but was found laying in the parking lot shot in the head, she was rushed to the hospital, police knocked on doors trying to talk to as many people as they could what they saw this morning. Police did give us an update, the woman is alert, talking back and forth, giving them information about the shooting this morning. That is why we had officers at so many locations within the last two hours. Three different locations here this morning, all looking for a suspect in the shooting. Investigators say 24yearold Thomas Pruitt failed to make a turn and crashed his pick up truck in a propane tank outside this home in fallston sunday night. 74yearold jb newton and 76yearold naomi newton were in the home when the house exploded. They died from the injuries. Today a Community Prayer event is being held in their memory at 7 00 at the Fallston Baptist church on circle drive. Christine also happening today the North Carolina chapter of the naacp will speak today about a deadly officerinvolved officials have set set a News Conference for 10 30 in raleigh. A man was killed yesterday, an officer trying to arrest him on felony drug charge when he ran. Officers chased him and they shot him in the process, killing him. Investigators found a gun near his body. Many in the neighborhood say he was shot in the back and they want justice. Hundreds gathered in the neighborhood last night to light candles in remembrance of him. Many said they would have like to talk with police about getting more answers about the investigation. John we learned that shooting happened just hours before the Raleigh Police chief was scheduled to give raleigh city officials an update on body cameras. That discussion was postponed because the chief was busy with the shooting. The aclu says body cameras are key to providing transparency and Building Trust with the community. The mayor says it is too early a difference monday. The primary thing is that we dont want the situations to happen at all in the first place. Cameras or not. John the city council will reschedule the discussion for next month.
