This comes after Council Members in huntersville pass ped a similar resolution last night. Officials are afraid the Student Assignment plan will lead to forced busing although the school board Officials Say that was not discussed. Cms chairperson mary mccray says neighborhood schools are addressing the principal principles. Is predictability and stability. And where their children are going to be going to school. And choice. And i think when you take that guarantee away, you open up a lot of uncertainty for parents. I wish we could take this resolution a step forward and saying we want neighborhood schools that are exclusive on to itself in north mecklenburg. Christine go to Kristen Miranda with details on a Train Derailment that injured several people in california. She is live with details first. Kristen christine, take a close look at what is happening here in the monitor. Look at this train car that just fell right over in the water, still a very active scene in Central California this morning after this passenger train derailed. It was a fallen tree that caused all this to happen. You saw the first car of the train plunge in the water overnight. Passengers were taken by bus out of the area. Train service in the area cancelled today. In all, nine people were injured, originally it was 14, now nine people injured but four of them with very serious injuries. We heard from one passenger a short time ago in the second car, the one behind the car that it was jolty, it was a fairly wild ride. We bumped, it was derailed. We didnt come off completely off the tracks but it was a very, very jarring ride for a little bit we werent sure what was happening because it was dark, we couldnt see what was going on. Christine many of the other people who were on that train say it is absolutely a miracle that no one was killed in this Train Derailment. Ill keep an eye on it.
