Christine icy roads are being blamed for dozens of accidents in the Charlotte Metro area including overturned ambulance. That ambulance overturned after 8 00 on i machine i85 in Gaston County. Thankfully nobody was hurt. Firefighter in Gaston County responded to 15 different wrecks within one hour last night. Closer to charlotte we saw another collection of wrecks off i85 near exit 30, sam wilson road. Several cars were involved and some people were treated for nonlife threatening injuries. State troopers and charlottemecklenburg police are investigating. After the wreck we saw d. O. T. Drunks blocking trafficking so crews could deice the roads. Part of 485 is back open after an eight car pile thank you stalled traffic during rush hour. Wbtv was first to be live from the scene covering this yesterday afternoon. No one was hurt and the bridge was icy. Medic says they responded to 64 accidents in Mecklenburg County yesterday. There is still a lane closure from this accident overnight. One lane of i77 southbound north of statesville near exit 73 is still closed right now. Officials are trying to clear the wreck. Well be at the scene as progress is being made. Overnight, part of i77 has been shut down from exit 50 to just before troutman after this wreck involving two tractortrailers. It happened around midnight in statesville. No word on if anyone was hurt or if the road has completely reopened. We do have a crew headed to the scene and update you on the air and online at wbtv. Com. Authorities say the officers will not face any charges, and the shooting was justified. Hickory Police Believe a shooting that left a woman in Critical Condition was the result of a domestic dispute. Reporter lawmakers will be back here at state capital in raleigh starting at 10 00 tomorrow morning as the special committee on redistricting comes together after Holding Hearings across the state today. According to some legislative personnel on twitter today, they tweeted 77 people spoke at the hearings held across the state, six different sites open today despite the cold and snowy weather, including one at Central Piedmont CommunityCollege Steve crump reported earlier as crowds at many of the who wanted to weigh in on the possibility that the legislature was going to have to redraw congressional districts depending what the u. S. Supreme court decides. That could come down as early as tomorrow, whether or not the legislature will have to redraw the districts ahead of march 15th primary as ordered by a u. S. District court judge a couple weeks ago, or if as the state has asked for, they will be allowed to stay that decision until after the march 15th primaries, they say they already sent out absentee ballots if they had to make a change at this last minute it would come at great expense.
