through this ordeal with me. >> dixon also said her admnistration will continue to work for the city's residents without interruption. as the mayor continues to work, so does her legal team. the mayor and her lawyers have eight days to file a motion for a new trial after she was found guilty of embezzlement. this morning, some experts say she might have grounds for new trial after new questions surface surrounding juror's behaviors. megan gilliland joins us with the latest. >> after convicting mayor dixon, some jurors talked and talked a lot. many in the legal community believe that what shoul they sa, could be ground for a legal mistrial. the judge instructed the jurors that dixon not testifying could not be held against her but listen to what a juror said. >> if you're an innocent person, you will want everyone to hear your voice. >> even if it's true that a juror or multiple jurors discussed or thought or considered the fact that she did not testify as evidence of her guilt, clearly that would be in direct violation of the court's admonish. >> reporter: now during the trial, the court also ordered jurors not to discuss the case with anyone including other jurors, but we are now learning that at least five jurors became friends on facebook during this trial and referenced the case. but because the messages didn't directly discuss that case, some legal analysts say it's hardly enough for a new trial. that of course, is not expected to keep the mayor's defense team from pleading its case. in the meantime if mayor dixon were to step down, baltimore special official is calling for a special election to change state law preventing a temporary replacement to serve for two years. at this point, though, it does not appear that is part of dixon's plan. megan 2000 west 41st street. we are looking at the weather today but the big story is what we could get to tomorrow. as we look to the north, this is what you will find, lake-effect snow toward buffalo, if you're traveling that way or headed toward michigan for the weekend, the general area around the lakes. around here, you may not have to go that far, because around here we may be seeing the coastal low coming our way and bringing us a chance of the wintery mix. it may not be a major event, but keep in mind this may be the first of the season. even though there's not a huge accumulation of rain or snow. being the first one could still make the slippery road. tomorrow by 7:00 a.m., some of the rainshowers coming up and into the eastern shore from the south as the low pressure moves in that direction. meanwhile, the blue area seeing some snow possibly falling in the early morning hours, but definitely by the afternoon and even the central counties seeing some snow in the central counties as well. looking for a coating up to a half an inch snow. we are looking at lesser amounts further east, because there's wet snow so less accumulation as well in that part of the state. meanwhile, a lot less significant as far as accumulating snow. we will have to deal with much more high pressure will build in after that. we are looking much better by sunday but we will be chilly as we get into the real cold pattern. as far as the rainfall totals, we're looking at a total of a 3rd of an inch in salisbury. going to show a lot of zeros. accumulation will not be that prevalent throughout the state but it could be in pockets and areas that could be a quarter of an in. in the west a little more snow there. the higher elevations toward the appalachians. indicating several inches down into west virginia that is your destination. that would definitely be an area, the destination, it could be an area to avoid, but just be aware of it. partly cloudy skies to start. wind are calm for now. 52% relative humidity, and the temperatures are warming up a little bit now. 44 degrees in baltimore, 45 in d.c. 42 in salisbury. up in hagerstown, 43. in oakland, chilly all weekend long, 42 degrees all weekend long. 42 degrees for the high in the eastern shore with partly cloudy skies. a little bit above average. a degree above average. mainly clear skies before the clouds will begin to roll out in the afternoon or evening specifically. 48 degrees and mostly cloudy for the western part of the state where it will be a bit cooler. 38 for the high and moving through the day today look for temperatures to pick up at 49 at noon. we will it out near 45 at 1:00 and then into the 30s tonight. tonight 40 degrees with early rain changing into a rain-snow mix early afternoon and just snow for later in the afternoon and evening, not a major accumulation. nevertheless, i want to point that out to you and emphasize it because it's going to be a first snow around here this season a sign of things to come. 47 and partly cloudy monday. 48 for tuesday, showers late tuesday into wednesday and thursday, more shower chances with mid-40s both days. fox 45 sky watch weather is at your finger tips. iradar is available at foxbaltimore.com. you can use fox 45 powerful doppler radar to track incoming storms. the interactive tools will let you know when rain or snow will be over your house. go howard county. we do have an accident involving a school bus in randallstown. you do want to watch out for. this is going to be at winona's road at offut road and if you ie traveling on the west side
