what it tastes like. live in high definition, from wbff tv in baltimore, this is fox 45 news late edition. >> hello, i am karen parks, jeff barnd is off tonight. >> we have three breaking news stories right now. first, one in southeast baltimore. police are at the scene of a shooting at north lynwood and fairmont avenues. happened at 9:30 tonight. invvstigators say one man was shot. no word on his condition right now. but homicide investigators have been called to the scene. and there is another shooting. this time in south baltimore. less than an hour ago. police went to horton and annabel avenues, one man shot there. again, no word on the person's condition. but homicide investigators have been called to this scene as well. and there is more breaking news tonight in southwest baltimore. about 9:00 this evening, a child was hit by a car at this intersection. west hillsro road and cook's lane, we do not know too much. but we're told the child was taken to saint agnes hospital. no word on the child's condition tonight. >> three people killed, and in one week. violence that has neighbors and police in northharundel county taking a closer look. keith daniels reports from brooklyn park where the latest homicide happened. keith? >>well, we are reporting on west edgevale road. several neighbors have gathered -ere, to remember the victim with a candlelight vigil, latest killing in thh area that happened in the middle of theú block. now on saturday, someone shot and killed a man at a traffic light at telegraph road and route 100. then two days later, someone shot and killed a 7-11 clerk, at marley station road and baltimore, annapolis boulevard. >> this never used to be a bad area. and then, you know, you kind of feel unsafe in your own home. >> so far tonight, police have no suspects. >> in brooklyn park, keith daniels, fox 45 news late edition. >> thank you, keith. >> the suspect in a three state stabbing spree may be behind an unsolved murder in leesburg. abel is accused of stabbing 18 people across three states. five of the victims died. police say three victims that were stabbed last week, in leesburg, did survive their attacks. >> i am confident in saying that we can place aabull in the areaú >> police in leesburg are investigating whether abull is behind a stabbing in 2009. authorities say he lived directly across from the victim. he will now be extradited back to michigan where he faces attempted murder charges. >> it appears to be an accident, that's what police are saying about a body that slid 20 floors through a trash chute landed in a dumpster. officers discovered the victim's body yesterday morning at the3 park charles apartment building in downtown. after an autopsy today detectives say there is no evidence of violence and no evidence of foul play. but they still cannot explain how the victim got into the dumpster. >> it is a veryysmall trash chute from what i understand. so also be very difficult for someone to put a body in that chute, without some type of evidence, on the body, or on the chute itself. so it does appear that the individual may have entered the chute and we don't know why. >> police are attempting to identify the victim. and investigatoos say there are no reports of missing persons, in the building. >> a violent one car accident, shuts down a busy street in dundalk. it happened shortly after 9:00 this morning on haliburton avenue and manner road. car flipped and hit a power line. firefighters had to wait until the power was shut off before they could get to the driver. crews laid a tarpover the car to keep neiihbors from seeing inside. >> he has been on that pole for like two hours. it is just so sad. >> the driver of the car was killed. speed might have been a factor in the crash. >> a nationwide man hunt is now on for a kidnapping suspect in ccmberland. police say they are looking for this man. stephen west fall. they say he abducted and assaulted a 6-year-old girl from cumberland last week. investors say now he may have left the area. west virginia state police are helping for the search. west fall is 44 years old. and 6'2 and weighs 190. if you see him, you re asked to call cumberland police at hear it 017-77-1600. >> a break, from the intense summer heat today. will it hold through the weekend? meteorologist emily gracey is here with a first look at the sky watch forecast. hi emily. >> good news as far as the temperatures are concerned. as far as the rain is concerned. not quite the same situation. we're dealing with it. still a little out there this evening. live look on radar right now. you can see light showers, and most of it south of the area. and a few popping up in washington, d.c.. at this hour. and it looks like they will move out ooerright tonight. and by tomorrow, we will start to clear out. also a coastal flood advisory in effect until 4:00, for the counties west of the bay. that onshore flow bringing in some high tide, and possibly some flooding situations there in the western counties. keep an eye on them through the morning. going toward tomorrow. see clearing conditions. %-and into the low to mid 80s by tomorrow afternoon. start to see some rain in the forecast though. i will have the details on when that arrives, coming up in a bit. kkren? >> a warning for seafood lovers, fishermen, those that love to swim in the bay and tributaries. there is a bacteria makinn people sick and blamed on tte hot weather. known as vibrio. health officials say 242 cases were reported this year. and 8 people were hospitalized. steamed crabs are not impacted by the bacteria but some people became ill after eating raw oysters. others have skin infections. local fishermen are taking precaution to say make sure they are not victims. >> any time you are dealing with the water, you are dealing with hooks, that are going in and out of things. you know, you have to protect yourself with that. >> health officials say those that fish or swim in the bay, or tributaries, should take a shower, as soon as they leave the water. and everyone should avoid the water, if they have cuts or sores. >> looking for something to do tomorrow? >> the frederick county health department is now looking at health records dating back to 1992. but it admits that they are two years behind in collecting data on can current cases within a mile of fort detrick. >> acorn the organization seen in this video, giving advice to people posing as a pimp and a prostitute in baltimore. loses a round in court. after this video congress cutoff funding. district court judge said congress punished the group without a trial. but today a judge from the second circuit court of appeals threw out the decision of the district court judge, attorneys for acorn, are considering an appealing. >> cooler this weekend, but get ready for stormy weather. emily gracey is back with the sky watch forecast. hi emily. >> relief from the heat today. and feeling it still out there. for most of us. few spots of drizzle. but mostly dry. over the inner harbour. dry and breezy. winds king around the camera a bit. out of the east-southeast at 8 miles per hour. but they were much stronger than that earlier today. mostly cloudy skies. and our current temperature at 73 degrees. so we have had a little bit of rain today for the most part. kind of a cloudy dreary day ouu there. high pressure is sitting just off to the north and westover new england. what that does for us, the clockwise flow around that high pressure, is bringing in easterly winds. so we have had wind flow off the water therr. that is bringing in the clouds, and also some strong wind gusts for us. and also the possibility of coastal flooding, in those counties along tte bay, or west so watch that overnight. but high pressure slowly works off the coast tomorrow. allowing for our next weather system to come into the picture. for tomorrow we will have a dry day, clearing out for most of the day. especially eastern shore, east of 95. will have plenty of sunshine for tomorrow. and now as we go toward sunday, however, that will change. that cold front gets closer and closer. and as it does, showers are closer. mostly cloudy day sunday. most of us will be dry, but wet weather comes into the picture on monday. and really stays with us all week, as the cold front is slow to push through. stalls out and brings us a chance for storms through unnil the end of next week. so monday through friday looking at stormy weather in the forecast. overnight tonight, no stormy weather to talk about. we will start to clear out overnight, into the day tomorrow. with a low temperature of 67 degrees. breezy conditions though. that will calm down as we head into tomorrow morning as well. overnight tonight, east at 10 to 20 miles per hour. on the eastern shore tomorrow. really nice day in store for us. 83 degrees. sunshine out there. with the easterly flow. and head further inland, few more clouds in the forecast. central maryland is 84 degrees for that afternoon high. and then more clouds as we head further west. westerr maryland you can expect partly cloudy day. 84 for the afternoon high. so model temperatures across the board here. really comfortable weather, especially compared to the heat we have felt in recenn weeks. 82 at ocean city tomorrow. 81 on sunday. sunshine all across the board there. so great weekend to be down at the beach. back here at home. 84 degrees. with mostly sunny skies. and we will start to see an increase in that cloud cover by sunday. 85 though, hold onto the mild temperatures. and then aa we head into the work week, we start to see a slight warm up. still in the upper 80s and a chance of thunderstorms. i will have a look at the seven-day forecast. coming up ii a few. karen?
