we're mid-way through the week and good weather should be in store for today. meteorologist steve fertig is here with a look at what we can expect. you said yesterday was a transition day today is. >> the is on. you like that, i know you like that. everybody doesn't like that. we have a chance of a couple of isolated showers. we will talk about thunderstorms, better chance really for tomorrow and friday. 67 degrees, nice, hot wave or mild wave to start off this wednesday morning. 65 degrees in d.c. hagerstown at 64. as you can see checking our sky watch hd satellite image, not more than a few clouds. a few clear skies for a while. look at at the 90 degrees for a while. a little bit of patchy fog, not as widespread as yesterday, a hot 1 for you. we will get details on the stormy conditions in a few minutes. right now lauren cooke is back with the situations that are happening on the roadways with the traffic edge. good morning, lauren. >> reporter: good morning, steve. we do have trouble in towson where we are dealing with an accident on providence road at 695, fortunately to really days at the beltway. we're looking at 67 miles per hour on york road. as we take a look around the area, you can see that the traffic is flowing along the inner and outer loop lanes. if you're traveling on the outer loo lap lanes, you're looking at an 11-minute ride. all is clear on the fort mchenry tunnel, from the toll plaza to the beltway. and from the harbor tunnel toll plaza on 295, you're looking at an average ride of 54 miles per hour. that's a look at morning travels, patrice, back to you. more reports of bullying in a baltimore county school. it's the latest in a story you saw first on fox. megan gilliland is liveefrom franklin middle school where a mother is willing to break the law to protect her son. good morning, megan. >> reporter: good morning, patrice, we were out here yesterday at the same place yesterday reporting on the story of a 7 years old girl who says she was pushed down the stairs here. now another story, another student who says he was teased and ridiculed and even physically attacked while going to school here at franklin middle school. falls mother says her son's skin condition made him a target for bullies here. he is constantly teased and called names and even physically attacked. but she never felt as if the school's add administration was in her corner. after a stabbing and several suspensioned she decided that her son was leaving baltimore county even if that meant she had to lie to get him into a new school. >> my son is coming home, he is not sleeping at night, he is scared to go to school the next morning. he is wondering who is going to hit him the next day. >> reporter: again, this is the second case of bullying just this week reported at franklin middle school. the mother of the girl who says she was pushed down the stairs is now suing the county board of administration two school administrators for $600,000. because of ta lawsuit the county school system is not commenting on this at all. live no baltimore county, megan gilliland, fox 45 early edition. baltimore pleas are investigating a suspicious death in east baltimore. a man was found dead inside of a home on north bradford avenue around 4:45 yesterday afternoon. police have not released how the man died inside a 61 years old man admits to raping a 14 years old. marion stone pleaded guilty in a baltimore county court on monday. he had sex with the girl after she ran away to his home last july. he could face up to 20 years in jail, but prosecutors say it's likely they will only ask for 10 years. a baltimore man is free from jail this morning after spending more than 10 years behind bars for a crime he didn't commit. tyrone jones was released yesterday after prosecutors dropped conspiracy to commit murder charges against him. jones was sentenced to life in prison over the killing of 15 years old tyrie white. a police report was recently found saying the witness that picked jones out of a photo line up originally said he hadn't seen any suspects. a cecil county teenager charged with the death of a pregnant woman has been found fit to stand trial. roberter lirobert irvin is menty competent and can assist in his own defense. he stabbed her after they got in a fight. he was 16 at the time. his trial is scheduled to begin june 18th. more than 20 inches of snow fell in some areas the weekend of the december 18th. well now fema has set aside more than $4 million to help pay for the storm costs. the money will be divided between several counties and the state, no word yet on if fema will help with the february snowstorm. what's the possibility oil from the gulf of mexico will reach maryland waters and beaches? that's one of the topics that will be discussed today when governor o'malley meets with maryland's desaster response officials. the governor is holding a hurricane preparedness tabletop drill at the state house this morning, but the first half of that drill will be spent talking about what happens if the does come our way. the fight over healthcare reform could be headed to court. virginia's attorney general is suing the federal government over the new law. late monday night the white house asked a federal judge to dismissed the case but virginia's ag says the requirement to buy insurance or pay a fine is unconstitutional. >> it was not bipartisan. it was uni partisan. this is one side and that is unprecedented for a new entitle of this scope. >> health and human services secretary, kathleen sebilius said that congress acted within its rights earlier this year when it passed health care reform. the millitary's longstanding, don't ask, don't tell policy could be a thing of the past. they are thinking of a repeal of the policy contingent on how it will impact. they are optimistic that it will pass dice pie despite the oppos. but some say that the issue shouldn't be considered in congress until the review is complete. >> i don't know why we're jumping the gun here and taking a vote on here when we all agreed on one point not too long ago that we were going to have a review panel take a look at this. >> the house is expected to take up the repeal this week, the vote could happen as soon as tomorrow. it sounds too bizarre to be true, but it turns out some people are attempting to get drunk by pouring vodka into their eyes. joel d smith is live in towson with more on -- i don't even know what to say about it, joel. it's absolutely crazy. >> reporter: yeah, you could definitely say that. i went back over here and a random place we're this morning. i didn't see eye droppers but apparently this really is happening and as is the norm nowadays, there's youtube video to prove it. >> go, go! cold front. this front is going to be moving in from the north, the chances are it could pop up some thunderstorms as it approaches. look for that as we get toward tomorrow, really, although we could see with the heat alone a pop up shower. you see hot pressure controlling the weather. that backdoor cold front and following that, we are going to be in the warm sector of air. the chance for showers and thunderstorms as we get all that warmth coming our way is there for thursday and friday as well as the next front pushes through. high pressure builds in behind it and we should be looking decent for the weekend especially into memorial day. we will get to that in a little bit. mostly clear with a northwest wind at 5 miles per hour. the central part of the state, climbing to the 90-degree mark speeds at whitemarsh. 62 miles per hour right now and as we take a live look, you see no problems to report. it should be smooth sailing along the northbound and southbound lanes. good news out of towson. the accident at providence road has just cleared at 695. as we take a live look in the area, no real delays to talk about. we do have trouble in reisterstown where we're dealing with an accident on reisterstown road at mont rose avenue. a watermain break that has shutdown one of the lanes of reisterstown road at avalon way. as we take a look at the beltway, we're looking at a high 56 miles per hour there. if you're traveling on the expressway, it should be a smooth ride, from shawan road to 695, and no problems to report on the jfx. it should be clear from 695, downtown to east
