degrees. we will check the seven-day forecast coming up in just a few minutes. first we say good morning to sarah. >> good morning. a few problems spots this morning. we start in howard county. southbound 29 at the merriweather post pavilion. one vehicle is involved. it is off to the side. traveling in middle river at middle river road, some defective traffic lights. in york county, southbound 83 is shut down between exit 24 and 22 because of a serious accident. there will be some heavy delays in that area. still moving well -- five minutes on southbound 95 from the 895 split down to the fort mchenry. 80 minutes on the inner loop to travel to the 83's. this is 95 at 222. 222 remains closed at conowingo because of flooding. that is the latest on traffic pulse 11. back to you. >> thank you. overnight, tournedos did touchdown saturday night in frederick and carroll counties. >> kim dacey is live with more on that. >> two tornadoes touched down in frederick county just after 7:30 saturday night. a third hit in the union mills area of carroll county. the tornado had 80-mile-per- hour winds and crushed the front of a home on arbor drive. the people inside are ok and staying in a hotel. the high winds had their way with a large shed on a horse farm. the fence wasn't damaged. the horses did not get out. some homes were left completely untouched. a few investigative teams checked the damage. there was a defined path of destruction. >> it looks like what went through here, tornado or wind damage on the weaker side. wind picked up and got more fierce. i heard the train the people talk about. this will be a palm sunday to remember. >> there are no reports of any major injuries from the tornado. kim dacey, wbal-tv 11 news. >> folks are anxiously watching the banks of the susquehanna river. they were near flood stages. there was a flood warning below the conowingo dam for the susquehanna river. river is expected to crest to 23.7 feet. you can share your weather photos with us on our website. just click on u local. i believe we will see a picture. you can send your picture to wbaltv.com and click on u local. >> the storms caused a different kind of problem for waterways. a power outage at the patapsco wastewater management facility cost 20,000 gallons of sewage to overflow into the harbor. >> a simple mistake has put a man in the hospital. his neighbor is charged with attempted murder. police say on friday night, police were called to a fair green road in dundalk. it appears the shooting victim mistakenly pulled into the wrong driveway. the hallmark shot the driver several times. the condition of the victim is not known. police were able to coax the gunmen out of this home. a boy will be charged as an adult in the murder of another boy. police said the unidentified juvenile shot the other outside his baltimore home back on march 22. police believe a group got into some kind of fight and that is when he was shot. he ran home before it collapsed. >> a midshipman faces a hearing of raping a fellow classmate. e. is charged with rapi hearing will determine if there is enough evidence to warrant a court-martial. >> there are some new rules in place to combat tired air- traffic controllers nodding off at work. they talked directly to -- which controls about job conditions and safety. kate amara has more on the story. good morning to you. >> these new scheduling rules are already in place and will be in full effect by the end of the week. air-traffic controllers are getting more time off between shifts, an extra hour to rest. >> they need to understand that when they go to work, they need to be well rested, they need to be alert. >> the faa changed work schedules on sunday after more and more reports of controllers falling asleep on the job. it reportedly happened at least seven times across the country since the start of the year. transportation secretary ray lahood said he is furious. >> with the idea that these controllers have fallen asleep in control towers. it's outrageous. it is ridiculous. >> under the new rules, controllers must have a minimum of nine hours off between shifts instead of the current eight. and there will be more managers covering the early morning and late-night hours. sleep experts say on-the-job napping would make a real difference in fighting fatigue. but that's an idea the government rejects. >> personal responsibility has to become a part of the whole safety program that controllers do when they come to work every day. >> faa rules forbid any sleeping on the job, even during breaks. kate amara, wbal-tv 11 news. back to you. >> can you tell us about those who are advocating that air traffic controllers take a nap on the job? mills area of carroll county near the pennsylvania line saturday night. a tree crushed the front of this house on arbor drive. neighbors say the people inside are ok and in a hotel. two doors down shows the unpredictable way of mother nature. doug seep's place, unscathed. >> very lucky. wind picked up, gradually got more fierce. and i heard the train that people talk about, this whooshing. and this will be a palm sunday to remember. >> down in new windsor, the high winds had their way with a large shed on this horse farm. >> it just completely blew the shed right up on its roof, leaning up against the fence. thankfully, the fence was not damaged. otherwise the horses would have gotten out. then we would've really been in a pickle. >> the national weather service sent a few investigative teams out to see if the damage pattern was indicative of a tornado. meteorologist chris strong noticed a defined path of destruction. >> it looks like what went through here, from what i can see so far, tornado or wind damage was on the weaker side. >> the national weather service determined it was an ef0 tornado with a path two miles long that had come throug hand caused all of the damage.
