i do not know yet. >> critics say it is too little too late for president obama. >> this will not get the kind of growth necessary to insure his re-election quest unemployment will restrict holiday spending. taxpayers experiencing the end of the tough economic year. storehouse is hoping the good news story out of the midwest may sway public opinion. tracie potts, wbal-tv 11 news. >> police have their hands full working on a number of shootings. we begin in west baltimore where an investigation is underway in the shooting of a man on west north avenue. this happened just before 4:00 p.m. yesterday. minutes before that, a deadly shooting was reported not too far away on loudoun avenue. no word if those shootings are connected. both cases remain under investigation. the victim was taken to the hospital after being shot in the back on east hoffman street. this was around 9:30 last night. no word of possible suspects. >> a maryland physical therapist is charged with physically assaulting a patient. a daughter kat jeffrey maupin allegedly -- the daughter caught jeffrey maupin allegedly sexually assaulting his mother. the woman said somebody attacked her in howard county over the weekend. the woman said she was traveling near sheffield court when somebody threw her to the ground and sexually assaulted her. she was able to break free and escape. >> baltimore county man accused of killing his wife will learn his fate. dennis tetso was accused of killing his wife despite the fact her body was never found. tetso could face as many as 30 years in prison. his attorneys are now working on an appeal. >> one of the longest serving council members is calling it quits. after serving the ninth district for seven terms, agnes welch has decided to retire. her last day of the year will be on monday praised what a stable and she has been. congratulations. well-deserved retirement. 47 degrees on tv hill. coming up, how oprah is giving a boost to the volkswagen beetle. >> some dangers whether touches down in the midwest. >> one of the most popular movie rental companies is changing the way it does business. with the changes will mean to customers. >> some showers are expected in western maryland. >> hitting at a town, now would be a good time. lots of lotions promised healing. this one actually does it. it was found murdered and mutilated in a boston suburb. delvonte tisdale was last seen alive last week living with his father. he was found dead. kai reed has more on the mystery. >> delvonte tisdale's stepmother describes him as a caring boy who loves sports and loved being around his large extended family, including 17 brothers and sisters. leader said he had dreams of becoming a marine. >> he liked us enough that we had to send him away sometimes between classes. >> last monday, tisdale's body was found mutilated. his father reported him missing the night before in charlotte, north carolina. there was a hand written note found in his pocket that appears to be a lunch pass with his name written on it. family members have speculated the teenager had perhaps done in a car with friends headed to boston and intended to be dropped off in baltimore. his stepsister said she thought tisdale was running away from home because he wanted to come back here with us. i know that for a fact. >> his real father and him used to get into fights. fist fights. that is what happened before he left the >> investigators traveled to tisdale's home in charlotte looking for clues. his body could only be identified through fingerprints. twocars have been impounded as a result of the investigation. -- two cars. >> city school officials say it is time to get to work in making over some
