the latest on traffic pulse 11. >> the search is over for a suspended police officer charged with first-degree murder. >> officer gahiji tshamba turned himself in saturday morning. jennifer franciotti is live at central booking with that story. >> officer tshamba is being held without bail. he did turn himself into central booking early yesterday morning after running from police for nearly 24 hours. he is charged with first o-degre murder in the death of tyrone brown. the charging documents say tshamba used his service weapon, firing 13 shots at brown who was not armed. >> we intend to proceed with this case as we do with all cases. the investigation continues. prosecutors are working with the police department to gather statements. >> this case does qualify for the death penalty. is not known if prosecutors will seek the death penalty. right now officer tshamba is suspended without pay. >> police are questioning a person of interest in the murder of an officer last friday. a man was picked up on a charge not related to the death of wesley brown. he was charged in a parking lot of an apple bees. police say the man in custody has not been charged with trooper brown's murder. there will be a public viewing on friday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. services will be held on saturday at 10:00 a.m. at the jericho city of praise. >> police are puzzled over what caused a man to murder his wife. this was on stone gate boulevard. troopers found the woman's body while the husband locked himself in a bathroom in an apparent attempt to take his own life. no word on what caused a cart to drive into a wall saturday night. the car lost control and slammed into a brick wall. there is no word on the victim's condition. >> concerned citizens will be taking their complaints to city hall and will be joined with the senior clerk of the court. it will be held at 5:30 this evening. but what better laws to keep dirt bikes off the streets. >> >> city colleges and universities are pitching in to keep -- to help close the budget shortfall. rather than be hit with a so- called bed tax. among the largest contributors, johns hopkins will pay $6.8 million over the time span woman killing her child friend last year. she faces a sentence of 25 years without life parole. jimmy dean has passed away. he was born in 1928. he went on to a successful entertainment career that included his own nationwide tv show. he became a businessman who started his own sausage empire. his wife said he had a recent health problems. his death came as a shock. jimmy dean was 81. >> you
