delegate wants the state to change its divorce laws. simmons wants the courts to grant divorces the couple's who have not had sex for a year. requiring them to live apart for a year creates a financial burden for parents. the measure would allow the couple to remain the same house during that time. a bill is on a table that would prevent same-sex marriages performed in other states from being recognized in maryland. emigrants wants to strengthen maryland's laws defining marriage as a union between a man and a woman, a pre-emptive strike against a highly anticipated opinion coming out on this friday. things will change tomorrow with a storm approaching. don't expect any weather problems today on the way to work or school. 14 in tontitown, 19 in cockeysville, thing at the airports, 20 at rock hall. there's not much of brees,, but it is cold enough without that. -- not much of a breeze. the clouds will get thicker today, but we don't expect precipitation. there are high, thin clouds moving into maryland already. if there will be a mixture of sunshine and clouds. it will be a lot colder than yesterday. we made it to the low 50's yesterday. low 30's's today. at sunrise it will be 7:15. after midnight there's a possibility of light snow or snow flurries. don't expect accumulations tonight. on saturday the big storm will part in the carolinas. that is a little far south for us to get a lot of snow. if you're traveling through virginia and north carolina, there will be up to a foot of snow in some places. closer to home the northern fringe of the heavy snow line will make it to southern maryland, south of annapolis may be. everywhere in the blue shading has a good chance of accumulating snow. ocean city will get more snow than baltimore. the the further north you go from baltimore, the less chance you'll get accumulating snow. an inch or less. if you are north of baltimore up to the pennsylvania line, but to an inch. up to two inches from d.c. into southern maryland. once you get to st. mary's county, the southern tip of maryland and the lower eastern shore, up to four inches around ocean city. if it shifts 100 miles, that could make a big difference in how much you get. most of the heavy snow or accumulating snow will stay to our south. the seven-day forecast looks like this. it's going to be called on saturday. if you are doing the polar bear plunge, the high temperature of 26. even when the sun comes up on sunday it's only got to make it to 29. high temperature neared 38 on tuesday with a chance of snow. maybe reaching the 40's by wednesday or thursday. it's going to be cold with a little snow this weekend. >> the 98 rock morning group has raised more money for the polar bear plunge. yesterday they collected $3,000 for the maryland special olympics at a dunkin donuts. then o tuesday mikki worked at a different donuts location. they brought in more than $7,000 together. >> good for them. sam's club and walmart give $20 million back to the maryland community every year. >> sam's club in annapolis is getting involved in the polar bear plunge in a large way. jennifer franciotti has more. >> this is how the day starts every day at sam's club in annapolis, with high energy and peptalks by the manager scot louis. he challenged his associates to raise money for the maryland special olympics. >> we want to recognize the special bid at least what they can do instead of what they cannot do. if this is a great opportunity for us to be involved in a fun event and also help our psocids understand what it means to support the community. >> scott said if they raise enough money, that he would take a super plungers, committed to jump in once an hour for 24 hours. >> i want to see that. >> of the employees are
