thunderstorm. we will check the 71 we come back in just a few minutes. our big story this morning, a shopping center becomes a crime scene after gunfire inside of a nail salon. >> that happened last night in the city. >> police are still trying to determine what provoked this a double shooting last night. it may have been domestic- related. it happened around 7:00 last night in a busy shopping center. a few popular restaurants and people were out having dinner and getting coffee during that shooting. it appears to be domestic related. officials say an armed man shot a female employee and her male acquaintance after a confrontation. it is unknown what sparked that confrontation, but the search continues for the gunmen. patrons are shot -- are shocked. >> it was a shock. we eat their lots. i could not believe it. >> it is insane. they should have called of the cops before it escalated to guns and violence. >> this seems like a pretty good area. i did not think things like that would happen here. >> victims were rushed with non- threatening injuries. again, the search continues for the gunman. police are urging anyone with information to call the police department. reporting, wbal-tv 11 news. >> we now know the name of the person shot and killed by baltimore city police. police say a man had a semi- automatic gun. he took off. they caught up with him in front of a home in that block and he was still carrying the gun. >> at that point, shooting the suspect, the weapon has been recovered. >> that suspect has been identified as a 22-year-old. we have learned that he was a veteran of the department. >> police say the book he was shot in the arm. that is when police said the two men showed up, pulled out a gun, demanded money, and made the victims take off their clothes. one of the friends tried to run away and was shot after the shooting. >> the body of a man was discovered. it looks like a man somebody and it has been there for quite some time. the remains were taken for further investigation. now for the race to the white house. president obama campaigned for the second straight day. but the romney camp is fighting back. here is the latest. >> at a rally near richmond, virginia, hundreds of people see president obama the way he has seen them before. >> the president took on mother nature and republican mitt romney in a state that is looking like a battleground. >> he invested in companies that have been called pioneers of outsourcing. >> that is the tune of a new ad attacking romney's time at bain capital. >> oh beautiful, for spacious skies. >> ronnie tells the news that the outsourcing claims are untrue. >> the president's campaign has been outrageous. the kind of attacks are beneath the dignity of the presidency. >> romney says quite comfortable at ocean city. 81 at the airport in baltimore. humidity of a 74%. the winds, 5 miles per hour. maybe another rain shower. we had a trace of rain and the airport this morning with a couple of sprinkles. now we can see some light sprinkles building back in. these are all shifting off. we may see a couple of light showers. maybe a thunderstorm as we get later in to the day. other than that, we are seeing a lot of clouds across the area. that was as a warm front pushed across the area last week night. it is still bringing the moisture and instability. notice that these thunderstorms are building towards the appellations, crossing over into eastern kentucky. the potential is there. whether or not see anything will really depend on how unstable the atmosphere gets. the more likely the thunderstorms are. keeping an eye on a stationary front across the northwest. this one turns into a cold front as it slides across the nation. it will increase our grain chances at that time, but behind it we will see much more air and a big drop in temperatures. boy, is it warm. not just outside the city. we are wrigley heating things up. -- we are really heating things up. anytime you get above the 70 degree mark, you start to feel that stickiness. we will see that taking a toll on the temperatures into the afternoon. mostly cloudy skies and a chance for thunderstorms, especially by the afternoon and evening. mostly cloudy tonight and a chance before storms. upper 60's in some of the cooler spots. we definitely could use some rain. 8 inches for the entire year. and the rain we get will be beneficial. seven-day forecast. we heat up. we see the rain chances return and a big drops in temperatures. >> the greatest oral -- the greatest orioles pitcher. check out that rankings in 1992. just one year later, he brought a football and basketball team to the championships as well. he is remembered as more than just a skilled coach. >> he cared about the kids. he made sure they did the work in the classroom to get them to college. he made sure they respected authority. he is everything good about high school sports. >> when he was diagnosed with alzheimer's and his is a loop. hardly anything showing up on their. the green is the rain. pretty minimal right now. to starting to pass into frederick county. these are basically just a couple of rain drops. that is about it. those had been falling apart. not a lot of rain to report just yet. hopefully we will, because it is quite dry across the state. distillates a bit of the break in the cloud cover. everywhere else, a thick cloud cover in place right now. we are not saying too much rain. more thunderstorms crossing over into kentucky and west virginia. a lot of this will fall apart before it can make its way over the mountains. the only thing that gives us a chance for storms today is this little bit of a trough right over the atlantic. even with the cloud cover, something may pop. that helps the atmosphere is destabilized just a little bit more. it is going to slide across the entire northern part of the nation. it will increase our chances for rain wednesday and thursday. we'll see a big drop in the temperatures. before that happens, it is going to be hot and humid. yesterday we were only in the mid 80's. today, we're getting to that spot. 85 degrees downtown. 80 degrees in ocean city. when you factor in did do points, hotter than this. they have definitely been increasing. s 72, the current and do point. mid 70's towards the eastern shore. the higher the do point temperature, the more humid its officials. it definitely starts to fill sticky out of there. the real temperature likely to be in the upper 80's to mid 90 later today. it was much warmer their overnight as well. tonight, maybe even a lingering thunderstorm with mostly cloudy skies. again, that concrete keeps temperatures mild. we desperately need of the rain. anything we get today will be beneficial. more than 8 inches below normal. 86 today. that is a slight chance for thunderstorms. before that happens, it will be hot and humid for the next couple of days. >> hot and humid, that is ok. there is
