They contacted lawyers in the pursuit of justice and more information about the case. These lawsuits claim hopkins hospital should have done more to keep an eye on dr. Levy. His picture gave me chills. It is creepy. She is among the first former patients of dr. Levy to file a negligence lawsuit against johns hopkins. Levy committed suicide this week after police began investigating the obgyn foresee kretly photographing and videotaping his patients during exams use surge valence devices with a small camera on a pen. I would like first and foremost for all of those patients to receive some sort of compensation. By filing suit the attorneys representing patients are potentiallyable to gather more information about what happened in this case because of subpoena power. We look forward to finding out why this went on. Most patients dont know if they were photographed or videotaped and if so what levy was allegedly doing with the images. Jonathon schaean shacure is repg one of his patients he filed on behalf of a patient hoping to make it a class action lawsuit. They told me he beliethey be john hopkins failed in its duty to be sure they are safe. Johns hop tins hospital should have known about dr. Levys alleged conduct. They breached their duties and standards on a medical basis discovering stopping and reporting dr. Levy and such breeches constituted carelessness recklessness and wanton misconduct. This went beyond photos and videos to battery. He made unpermitted harmful and unpermitted sexual contact with the plaintiff. Johns hopkins hospital fired dr. Levy the day after an employee alerted them to what was going on. Johns hopkins declined to comment on these lawsuits. In the newsroom wbaltv 11 news. A shooting of policeman named joseph smith as the new director of the Police Training academy. Officials say hes leaving the department. According to police 27 year veteran Lieutenant Colonel ross bs bazuro will now resume the role. My goal first off safety is top priority. My goal is to make sure that the academy is the safest environment for our officers and really bringing it to the national forefront to be an elite and premiere academy. We have also learned that two of the six officers who were suspended after the trainee shooting has been reinstated. Stacked in crates that were sometimes too small for them to turn around. The conditions were absolutely filthy. Animal control says four dogs had to be euthanized three went to rescues and the rest were adopted. Police call it neglect. Gears attorney calls it slander. There doesnt appear to be any facts to support any allegations of animal abuse. Gear says he saved animals from kill shelters in West Virginia as proper vet approvals and documents to do so. He doesnt make a lot of money doing it. Hes looking out for their weal health and wellbeing. His name has been destroyed in the industry. The Animal Rescue and Shelter Community is a tight knit one. The three largest animal shelters in our area said they have never heard of barn or had no relationship with it. The Sheriffs Department is increasing gas and electric rates. How much more you can expect to pay. 1. 2 million customers depend on bge for gas and electric service. Customers like brian price who says he struggled to make ends meet every month. Rates are already high enough. I dont know how they expect people to make it. Brian and millions of others will start seeing an increase under bge bills starting saturday. The Public Service commission signed off on a bge request to increase gas and electricity rates. According to the commission for the average customer increase comes to 3. 33 a month for electricity and 2. 70 for gas. The problem with reusable its a tough time to do it with the added federal taxes, gas prices are currently spiking. Its difficult but its not unexpected. The rate hikes are all about improving and investing in infrastructure like pipes, po s poles we have to continue to invest in the system. Tax dollars dont go to this. Public hearings followed and they granted less than what bge wanted about 65 percent of the 175 million request. At the end of the day it does fall short of what we need Going Forward both short and longterm. Some of the money will go to state and federal mandates for state liability projects for more aggressive tree trimming. Widespread outages like the ones that effected tens of thousands through out the storms.
