the screen coming out of virginia, more significant rain headed toward northern virginia and the washington d.c. area. our rain chances going up. we will talk about it in a few minutes. >> a man has been arrested for allegedly setting fire to his girlfriend's apartment after an argument. there is a twist. 11 news reporter sara sampson joins us live from the newsroom. quack a spokesman for the state fire marshal office says that 28-year-old ryan does not remember setting the fires. officials have enough evidence that he did to charge him with two counts of arson. a glass window is missing from the belair apartment complex, officials say that a man intentionally set his girlfriend unit on fire. as happened sunday morning around 1:00. investigators with the state fire marshal's say they believe it all stemmed from an argument between to 28-year-old ryan and his girlfriend. >> the girlfriend did leave. she left for one hour approximately. during that time, he intentionally set two separate fires. >> they were set in two separate bedrooms. the state fire marshal said investigators believe he used things he found around the apartment. things like paper and closing. when the girlfriend returned, she saw the smoke and neighbors call the fire department. everyone was able to get out and no one was injured. >> damages for minimal. basically, it was kept in the two-bedrooms. at this time, about $10,000. >> police put out a warrant for his arrest but officials could not have to search too hard to find him. he returned to the scene later sunday morning, on his girlfriend, and asked her what was going on. >> he is confused and does not remember setting the fire. at this time, he has no recollection of it. >> fire officials have plenty of evidence. >> we have evidence of probable cause against him. >> fire costs about $10,000 in damages. he is being had =-- held on $250,000 bond. .eporting live, sarah sampson >> ♪ served as a solemn and emotional tribute to those who have lost their lives to incidents like today's fire. this afternoon, baltimore firefighters gathered alongside loved ones for the annual ceremony of remembrance. those in attendance at today's ceremony was especially difficult in light of the recent death of a 25-year-old firefighter who died earlier this month of injuries he sustained on the job. >> everybody's hearts are a little heavier. with the recent memories. but many of the families at 10 -- attend. the individual company members attend area just to pay tribute so that everyone knows we will never forget their supreme sack fight. removed today as workers attempt restore service. there are still hundreds of feet of track to be repaired before normal service can resume. that could take up to a week. the ntsb is currently focusing on a fracture in a portion of the track. they say it is still unclear whether the accident caused that fracture, or if it existed before the crash. >> now, your 11 insta weather plus forecast with meteorologist john collins. >> a good chunk of the day today was rain free. showers or lose morning. now we are beginning to see or activity develop. not very significant. a little bit up in frederick county. down anne arundel and across the bay, very minor. where significant stuff is beginning to move up from the south. the south is where all the rain has been happening during the day. coming out of virginia and moving in our direction, a little bit warmer air. rain chances increase overnight tonight in file. the rain today at the airport was only a trace. here in tv hill, 507 inch. been occurring today. from oklahoma, kansas, all the way into iowa and illinois. some of the hill in oklahoma was baseball sized with the storm in the region. the jet stream has taken a nosedive over the west cold air coming out of canada. write in here is where we get all of that activity. it collides with warm air coming from the south. cold air all comes together here and objectives that energy to spin up. tomorrow, similar situation just a few hundred miles further east. we are in a dead spot here. there is nothing to move it, like a jetstream. changes are coming. slowly but surely. 60-65 the overnight low with a lot of clouds, drizzle in the forecast. a southeast wind, very light tomorrow. we will be in the warmer air, and we should be able to make it 77-81. we may see a son break or two. clouds will be a big future. showers and storms, a 30% chance. from the southze southwest at five to 10 miles an hour. during the day tomorrow, rain scattered. tuesday, another burst of activity. mostly instability i. a cold front at the end of the week. that is when rain chances will be the highest. rain chances for scattered activity monday. it goes down tuesday and wednesday. something
