city reservoirs is a no-no. all of them a profession, swimming them is bad and you could be arrested if you do it. this is not allowed at man-made druid lake and others. >> there will be less places in the city to take a dip in the pool. residents and community activists pleaded for city leaders to halt plans to close some polls and recreation centers. the city council approved a plan that called for closing two fire truck companies and one squad. they also opposed the closing of four rec centers. it would like to know more about the financial figures in keeping these open. >> let us find the money to keep them open. if you can buy new telephones to put on desk, you can find funding to deal with race cars, you should be allowed to keep the rec centers open. >> the fire companies -- this coming sunday. >> many people have hit the roads for the holiday weekend. in fact, aaa expects that more people will hightail it out of town then we have seen in more of a decade -- in more than a decade. >> low gas prices have certainly impacted people to get on the road and a joy their independence. >> the national average for a gallon is $3.35, that is cheaper than this time last year. a gallon of regular is averaging $3.30. they're projecting a had a 46,000 marylanders will travel at least 50 miles or more. >> anne arundel county police are looking into what they call a suspicious death. in man was found lying on the ground on annapolis road this morning. the victim suffered some kind of trauma. he was taken to the hospital but later died. police searching for a suspect after a deadly shooting in west baltimore. officers responded to a call just before 10. we are told they found a man lying in the street with a gunshot wound to the head. the victim was taken to shock trauma where he later died. police have made an arrest in the deadly shooting of an essex woman. dairy and walker is facing first-degree murder charges. investigators say that walker shot a woman inside of an apartment. we're told that they exchanged phone calls shortly before the death but a motive has not been determined. walker is being held at the baltimore county detention center without bail. >> police say a man who has allegedly been posing as a police officer is in custody. investigators say the suspect had an intricate collection of police paraphernalia and used it to pray on at least one victim and possibly more. >> according to police, the suspect had a badge and a police scanner running to this speaker. investigators say that joshua brake approached his victims on june 16th in southeast baltimore. according to the victim, he claimed he was a police officer, saying, stop, i am a police. >> the suspect took the money and fled from a location. >> the victim was able to provide a detailed description of his assailant and his dark colored suv. 10 days later, they found the car matching the description, not far from where the robbery occurred. >> they observed that he had a bad draw on his neck, he had a bullet proof vest, and other police objects in his vehicle. he had a scanner in his cell phone which was running through the speaker system. >> police have investigated several robberies and attacks involving suspects posing as police officers and only some have resulted in arrests. two men claiming to be police officers, their way into an elderly man's home last month. they said they had a warrant and got away with $3,000. they're checking to see if brake is connected. he lives in brooklyn, md., and his charges include concealing a dangerous weapon. >> a man who has been posing as a police officer is in custody tonight. >> coming up, 7 million college students and their parents can relax. the interest rate on new student loans will not double after all.
