assault, and attempted murder. the victim walked into his home around 1:30 sunday morning to find a suspect already inside. according to investigators, bradley force a homeowner into a basement at gunpoint and shot him in the neck as he was making his way downstairs. they say he fled and tried to steal a car as the victim called 911. an officer spotted him a few hours later. >> the suspect went out from between a couple of buildings and jumped into an automobile that took off. the officer found a piece of property from the victim on the suspects person, and he made the arrests. >> he has a lengthy criminal record including robbery and assault charges. the victim suffered non-life- threatening iinjuries. >> we are not aware of a relationship between the victim and the suspect. our investigators are still exploring that, but right now we are not aware of any connection between the people. >> they went door-to-door in the victim's neighborhood. neighbors say they are relieved to house fire in rivel day over the weekend. prosecutors say they are both exhibiting signs of progress in washington, d.c. hospital. we are told they underwent knee skin grafts after suffering
