>> it was. i thought you saw the best of both quarterbacks. michael vick played well. i thought he played within the system. he didn't try to do too much, but he had the two big fumbles. matt ryan, on the other hand, had two interceptions early. things did not look good, but as he said there in the interview, fought back, played well, stayed within himself and led those big touchdown drives in the fourth quarter to win it. they really needed this. they did not want to go 0-2. i think this was a huge, huge statement game for matt ryan. >> as we near the end of week two, something that stands out again is the almost super human play of your old nemesis tom brady and the patriots. >> he really is playing well. it almost looks like '07 again, where they've got so many weapons. he's throwing the ball so well, using everybody and just not making any mistakes. making tight throws into traffic. all kinds of guys making plays. usually when you throw the ball this much, you're going to at some point take a chance and turn it over, but tom is playing and taking care of the football as well. they're going to be tough to beat. i would not want to play the patriots the way they're playing right now. >> coach thanks very much. to back up what tony said, today, tom braid, 31-40, 423 yards against the chargers, three touchdowns, no picks. we turn to mike florio, among the items you'll see in his monday ten pack tomorrow, a strange day around the league with regard to the replay rule, mike. >> it was, bob. several curious decisions by replay officials. two big ones. in buffalo, after what appeared clearly to be an interception to end the game by the bills in the end zone, the replay official buzzed down for a review after the teams were off the field. it's not the kind of play where there would be any type of indisputable evidence to overturn that. that review probably shouldn't have happened. in new orleans, darren sproles scored a touchdown but replays clearly suggested he stepped out the replay official never buzzed the referee to look at it. the replay official has a lot of power. if the replay official never tells the referee to look at the scoring plays, they never get reviewed and the coaches can't challenge them. the nfl has to improve the communication between the replay booth and the referee to ensure plays need to be reviewed are reviewed by the referee. >> there are times when people might say it gets too picayune with the replay rule, splitting hairs and overturning situations where it's not indisputable. here you had an obvious situation which is what replay was made for and it wasn't implemented. >> the replay official shouldn't be making the decision, bob. the replay official needs to defer to the referee. he needs to go under the hood and look and decide whether it should be overturned. in their desire to speed the game along, i think the replay official may be substituting his judgment for the judgment of the referee. >> let's talk about the key injuries around the league. the cowboys were hit pretty hard. >> yeah, three injuries, tony romo fractured rib, miles austin hamstring injury, late in the game. felix jones, separated shoulder. couple of other running back injuries, jamaal charles, feared to have a torn acl. arian foster, hamstring injury. and nick mangold, high ankle sprain. >> thanks for an nfl flims all access look from this week's games including the cowboys comeback over the niners. it's hosted by dan patrick at a special time, 9:00 p.m. eastern. in atlanta tonight, the falcons defeat the eagles in a wild one, 35-31. al and cris are back to wrap things up from the georgia dome after this. hey wendy! me and the boys, we like our chicken with a little heat. well let's answer that call with a truckload of spicy chicken for the branch street firehouse. we only use tender whole breast fillets kicked up with our blend of peppers and spices. that's a great sandwich. it's got some zing to it, huh?
