This time it happened last night in the bronx. This driver, 69 years old, a teenage suspect according to authorities got on the bus in southern boulevard in the bronx, attacked the driver. In the middle of tax season, seniors are getting phone calls from someone claiming to be with the irs and demanding money. The scam has resulted in thousands of people getting ripped off. Treasury department is calling this the largest impersonation scam in the history of the irs. As you said, thousands of people coming to places like walmart to wire money to scammers and weve heard from some victims. Its disgusting. Reporter 60yearold valerie of Port Washington got the call a few weeks ago. Its annoying because you feel bad saying you might owe somebody money. Reporter 59yearold george they sound Something Like this. You act smart with me, ill see you are in a lot of trouble. But in fact, senator Chuck Shummer calls them bottom crawlers. The scammers demand the money be wired right away. They make it seem like theres going to be some federal agent to knock at your door and arrest you unless you do. When you look at the studies around coffee, theyre all over the place, but there have been some good wounds and they do show there is a Health Benefit from moderate coffee consumption. Moderate is defined differently in each study. No one is saying if you dont drink coffee, that you should start. The benefits seem to be there for decalf and for high test. But you dont want to drink coffee right before bed and in consumption went up, do so did smoking cigarettes. Our next question has to do with fertility. Lets take a listen. My question is, im a career woman and i do want to have kids. When is the best time to kind of start thinking about that . When do your odds go down . I mean, this is a question i hear a lot. And theres no real simple answer, because for each couple, for each woman, when you have a child may be different. If you look bio logically, fertility is higher in your 20s. It starts to go down dramatically after age 35. You have to weigh those factors to see when it right for you in terms of having children. Most ob gyns say if youre 35 or older and have not been successful, thats when you should seek some assistance from a specialist. On that. You have to talk to your ob gyn and talk as a couple. Fertility treatments have become the norm now for so many people. Most people in their mid to late 30s can get pregnant if they want to have children. One last question. How hard you really need to work out . Im going to the gym and using weight machines and right now, im just doing the stationary bike, about 25 minutes. Not terribly vigorous, not out of breath. Am i still getting the cardiovascular benefit . I love this question. And, you know, they should pat herself on the back for getting to the gym and getting on the bike. Yes. That is absolutely terrific. Thats the first step. If you look at what the recommendations are by the cdc, american heart association, theyre a little higher than that, so 30 minutes, five times a day is what they realm of moderate intensity exercise or 25 minutes three times a day and you are adding in something to build your muscles and that can be weight lifting, yoga, digging in the garden. If you think about moderate exercise, that means if youre going for a vigorous walk, you can talk but you cant sing a song. In terms of high intensity, you would only be able to say a few words without being able to stop and catch your breath. If youre youre just going along and you can sing a song, you may want to speed it up a little bit. But understand that even 10 minutes on that bike will help. I think you meant to say three times a week. You said three times per day. Three times a week. Because i was feeling that im not going to be able to do this three times a day is a little too much.
