We had a windchill of 4 below in new york city. It was as low as 19 with the wind in monticello. This was the first sub freezing day since early march. 0 monticello. 11 park. 13 islip, and 12 in belmont. Park looking nice. Its awful cold now. 28 degrees right now but the windchill with just a wind around 5 to 10 miles per hour, and even our reported calm in the park, the actual feels like readings are going to be close to the actual temperatures. Wed like to see that. The windchills generally in the teens and 20s. Core of the cold air, and it is exiting north and east as that high moves in and see the 30s and 40s over the tennessee valley. New york city reports 96 Homeless People have voluntarily gone to shelters or hospitals if needed. The governors order requires municipalities to move homeless from the seat to shelters once the temperature drops below 32 degrees. Officials say that has been im going to use every tool we have, Public Health capacity, social services capacity, everything we have to help new yorkers in need. The homeless problem is not an economic problem. Its not a complicated problem. Its a human problem. Meanwhile, mr. De blasio mr. Agents want to know if the gunman contacted anyone during that period. A not guilty plea today from a woman in the bronx charged in a horrific crime. Shes accused of cutting an unborn baby out of a womans wound and killing the mother in the process. 22yearold ashley wade being held without bail charged with murder, kidnapping and weapons position. Fellow officers gathered outside the bronx squad where directive joseph lem worked, also a member of the Air National Guard and was killed in an attack in afghanistan last month. There are Service Changes on the r, b, d and f lines. This is all because of broken rails in both queens and manhattan. One of the broken rails is at queensboro plaza. All new this half hour, caught on camera, a phone theft, the suspect, a young boy who police say was prompted by the woman who was with him. That is our top story this half hour. The theft happened inside a restaurant at saddle brook mall. Police want to now talk to that young boy along with the woman and man that he was with. New jersey reporter anthony when the family walked into the hibachi grill and buffet, they looked like any normal family coming in to have dinner on sunday evening. But when they walked up, thats when the family made a decision to use a child, a 12yearold to commit a crime. The two adults in this photograph may be a classic example of poor parenting. The child they are with was told to steal a smart phone, accidentally dropped on the floor by the son of another family waiting to go inside the hibachi grill and buffet on sunday evening. What it appears is that the woman that was with this young boy either instructed or told the boy to pick up the phone because it appears the boy picked up the phone and glanced over to the desk that was in close proximity of where this phone was and immediately walked out the door with the two other adults. The video shows how quickly the crime happened. The three people at the top of the film are leaving when it young boy to go over and get the smart phone that was left on the floor. The child doesnt hesitate and grabs the phone. He looks around to see if anyone is watching. That kids come back to pick up the phone and watched back to make sure nobody was watching him. Police say the crime of opportunity is a sad lesson in parenting. But both the child and the adult are facing serious charges. Now, youre looking live at the scene. According to a public report, he says that he and one codefendant were poorly represented by their attorney, a judge has scheduled a hearing next month for the two to testify. The chickfila restaurant in midtown is back open after it voluntarily closed its Health Department violations. Governor cuomo announced an expansion between the lirr between floral park. A judge in massachusetts has just granted Camille Cosbys motion to delay her deposition tomorrow. Attorneys for bill cosbys wife went to court to delay a deposition that is scheduled for tomorrow. They filed a motion with a federal judge after another judge ruled that Camille Cosby must testify. The case involves seven women who are accusing bill cosby of defailing them after defaming them after he accused them of sexually abusing them. Bill cosby filed a counter suit allegations for financial gain. The pledge of allegiance will no longer be recited at a school. Glen view elementary school, the letter claimed that invoking gods blessing as a daily ritual is unconstitutional. A little girl rushed to the hospital after she swallowed magnets. 2yearold ava swallowed 9 magnetic balls that she managed to pull from her familys refrigerator in houston.
