Were following breaking news news in new jersey where firefighters are battling a three alarm house fire. Newscopter 7 above the scene in Bergen County a short time ago. You can see the flames shooting through the roof on the home on bog ooh rt row. At one point firefighters needed to be evacuated from the building. As of right now the fire the still in the till not in is still not in control. One woman was not inside at the time. So far there are no reports of any injuries and we will keep you posted. Another breaking news story right now. We have just learned that charges will be filed against an mta bus driver who struck and killed a 70yearold woman in brooklyn and then left the woman this morning at the corner of sackman and fulton street in the ocean hill section. The driver then bought the b15 bus back to the depot before another driver then took it out. The drivers the detectives determined the bus was involved after reviewing surveillance video. A friend of the victim tells us intersection has always been a problem. Its horrific. Its the way they run this street. They need to put a light here. We need some politicians to come down here and check this here. Because we have a lot of buses coming down the neighborhood. And we have a lot of kids and elderly people on walkers. Again, that bus driver will be charged. We are told that the victim lived in a nearby shelter. Now to a dead lichting in stanford. One that took a life of a mother outserving food in a park. It happened last night in a park in stanford. Eyewitness News Reporter Tim Fleischer is there with new details. Tim . Reporter and david, this is nothing short of a senseless random shooting that took the life of this single mother here in this Stanford Park last night. She had five children. Well, now three men are in custody but its set off a chain of events thats unusual. Its very sad. Very sad. Reporter friends of Maxine Gooden remember her the way she was. And now tragically, with a candle light memorial they honor her memory. Shes just a nice person. Down to earth. Reporter and annette rose says maxine was here in the park last night socializing with friends when Police Say Three men entered the park with a gun and apparently bad intentions. It doesnt appear that she was targeted. Focal chaos. The total chaos, the park was filled with people at this time. People solizing and at that time we had the victim who was shot once. Reporter maxine was here as she was on occasion having made soup and other food and was selling it to help support her five children. Two of them underage. She made the food herself and bring it out here and keep it warm. Serving you they have money or not, theyre going to eat. Reporter as they gathered again in this park, her friends were joined by stanford mayor martin. Whos deeply troubled by this murder. Only the third in stanford this year. There was a terrific person that was just a random victim of her rick senseless gun violence. Reporter sadly he says the city was considering different measures like lighting and cameras to make the park safer. I wish we didnt have this to prove us right. This is just awful. Reporter on this night, without the safety measures, a couple of Good Samaritans followed the three men. They were able to provide us with a license plate and within 15 minutes, one of our patrol officers spotted that car. Reporter arrested and charged with murder was johnett tellman and decheances and morris moore are both desean hayes and morris moor are all charged. The youngest her kids give them some help. Train very close to the ralph avenue station. You can see it street level here at ralph avenue and fulton street. Police are responding. They have shut down the subway for now not letting anyone in or out of this subway station while they investigate. So again we know that two people were stabbed unknown the condition of the victims. Or who in fact did the stabbing. But as you can imagine, this is going to affect your subway commute tonight. If you are normally taking a manhattan bound c. Train, that is running express only between Broadway Junction and hoyt street. On the southbound c. Trains completely bypassing the ralph avenue station because of this Ongoing Police investigation and of course, as we get more information on this, well bring it to you. The 27yearold who has been in federal custody on a weapons charge is now in state custody. He appeared in court in bridgeport where bail was set at 2. 5 million. His parents jeanette and Jeffrey Navin disappeared back in august. Their bodies were discovered in the backyard of a home in weston last week. Depending on the lawyer you listen to, two very different pictures of Sheldon Silver emerging in his federal corruption trial. Underway before a jury of nine women and three men. And lower manhattan. Prosecutors are accusing silver of making 5 million in kickbacks from developers. Silvers defense attorney denied the charges, saying his client is a champion for tenants and not developers. The officer yam said marengo appeared tired and hungry but his gut told him that he was the missing runner. Just wanted to use mannerisms to identify myself and let him know that i am a Police Officer and everything is going to be okay and then his eyes lit up like you know, like kind of like relief like somebody is actually going to help me. Officer yam brought marengo something to eat and then spoke to him in spanish and showed him the missing persons alert marengo is now being checked out at the hospital. Many of them hearing the gunfire that started around 11 00 last night. And they had to stay in their houses until the Police Brought the whole situation under control. This is the newark police. Reporter authorities flooded the neighborhood searching in backyards and underneath porches a find a suspect armed with a gun who apparently fired at Police Officers. The thing that alerted me it was gunshots me was the gunshots is. The brightness of the muzzle flashes from them fying their weapons. Firing their weapons. The police eventually came. And you can hear them wrestling in the backyard and everything. And looking for the guy because it was a guy with a black hoodie. Reporter residents here were on edge as cops knocked on doors. Searching for the suspect and telling people to stay inside their homes. I come outside. They told me to get back in the house. And i they kept looking to get back. Reporter Authorities Say the suspects Victoria Williams of carteret and hasan rich of rahway just started shooting on police at north 11th without warning. Two weapons were recovered and we are searching right now for a possible suspect that may be struck by gunfire. Reporter nervous residents heard the gunfire and stayed one of the suspects ran and hid. Residents watched and waited as cops eventually found that suspect and negotiated with him to surrender without incident. The first suspect was captured right after the initial gunfire. And Police Say Two guns have been recovered. Now authorities are now toling us that no one telling us no that no one was seriously injured in the shooting that happened last night. Train in bedstuy brooklyn, this is near ralph avenue. Were told that none of the injuries are lifethreatening. Thats the good news, northbound c. Trains are running express and police are right now searching for a 30 yearold man they believe was involved in this stabbing. Wearing all denim and he fled the scene after the stabbing but again, four people have been stabbed. In the ralph avenue c train subway line. Reporter david, actually we do have an update that that suspect has been caught. He is in custody and the weapon has been recovered as far as those four victims were told four people were injured. Not lifethreatening. Two of those people were slashed in the head. Apparently youre taking a look at live chopper video right now. We are told those victims did not know each other and they did not know that system. But again the suspect. But again the suspect has been arrested. Six passengers were kicked off a flight from los angeles to dallas last night. All six were black. The Flight Attendant being rude. Reporter tension on this Spirit Airlines jet captured on cell phone is leading to claims of racial discrimination. A black passenger and his companion were escorted by officers off the flight on monday after an argument with a Flight Attendant over a seat. Guy said, hey, im not going anywhere. The Flight Attendant said something. The guy said, im not talking to you. Dont talk to me. After he said that, she said you need to get off the flight. Reporter it doesnt end there. Thats when according to officers, five other black passengers caused a disturbance. Those passengers claim a white Flight Attendant accused them of being a threat. I need your name and your bosss name. Reporter police say all five were also escorted off the plane, including the passenger recording this video. We were the only people that got kicked off the aircraft. So many other people were recording and talking about it from different races. Reporter despite several requests, Spirit Airlines has not issued an official statement. The company did offer the passengers removed Hotel Accommodations and another flight. Some witnesses say the passengers escorted off never threatened the spirit Flight Attendant. Other travelers do believe the situation was handled appropriately.
