The mets returned to the scene of the win tonight, but to make the game 1 victory mean that much more they come back tonight against the cubs and try to get the win in game number 2, and for a look back at last night and a look back at the championship drive of 86 and this year, what could be this year, tim tuffle 1st base coach, first of all lets gauge the temperature in that room, the guys coming back after the game last night. I think theyre very ready. Its sunday. Its football sunday and theyre all watching Football Games and relaxed. Really nothings changed. I think the guys are confident going to stay the course. Does it remind you at all of what happened here in 86, the team that you were on . Well, 86 we had such a big lead all yearlong. We didnt have that luxury this year. This year was a dog fight right to the end, but going into the playoffs its the same thing. We were the underdogs against boston. I think they were the team to beat in the world series. I think when we went out to l. A. We were the underdogs there, so we had similarities in that respect. I think if we take this series here the emotions are very high for the world series. Have you had a chance . I know youre working while were enjoying the gauge but have you had a chance to sit back and enjoy this run that this team has been on . Yeah. I mean, you know, ive got the best seat in the house. I get to watch all the action. Chicagos tallest building is the willis tower, which rises 1451 feet. But new yorks tallest building is 1 world trade center, and its 1792 feet. Chicago is famous for its deep dish style pizza pies, but new york is famous for thin crust slices, which you can fold and eat the way pizza was meant to be taken in. Exactly. And folks in chicago like to heap condiments on top of their hot dogs but here in new york city its just mustard and ketchup. I like just mustard. New york has that famous destination in brooklyn, in chicago its the navy pier, not even close. Chicago has michael jordan, a legend of course, but new york has the knicks. Okay. So they get one. Do you think 500 for two tickets is a lot . Yes. I think it should be lower because were sitting high up. Lets go mets, lets go mets. With all the fever building over the mets, one point sure to give fans some stress in their wallets the soaring price of tickets. Tickets are actually double the price in chicago. Theres a fair amount of traffic from folks in illinois. Its so much cheaper to see the games here in new york. Itd be cheaper to fly here for the weekend and see a game at citi field than it would be at wrigley field. You can afford to make it happen, why not see the mets. Thats what its all about.
