Was a 48yearold employee of the church. No word yet whether the shooter had targeted this man but the suspect is described as an average man in his 30s. He was wearing a suit and tie and fled the scene. We dont know if the pastor was at the church. Mike brooks is joining me now. I was listening to some local reports, they were saying this man, the 48yearold victim was leading a prepare service on stage and was shot at point blank range. So we have to believe this is targeted. I would say so. As an investigator thats one of the things im going to think. If somebody goes up and shoots somebody at pointblank range, to me it means they were looking specifically for this guy and the suspect fled the scene in a black subaru. This is early on the investigation, breaking story out of Fulton County. They are on the scene, i was listening to the Fulton County police and there wasnt a lot of radio traffic, so we dont know if they know who this suspect is or not. Obviously if this was in the middle of bible study as i understand it, there would have been a lot of witnesses. So what are plits doing with them on the scene . You take everybody, separate them. If you can if you have enough rooms, and set up an interview rooms. But there are a number of investigators i can see on the scene. That you can see there was a number of investigators there on the scene and you want to try to look, interview everyone, try the get the who, what, where, when, why and how. But right now we do not know what a motive is, if any. And we know it shook a lot of people up. Theres a preschool or a day care there adjacent to the chapel. Theyre looking for that black subaru and the man, the suspect in this case. And the Fulton County District Attorney is there on the scene. And i know a lot of time paul howards office will go to the scene to get a view of what things theyre working out and what kind of circumstances, try to find out exactly what happened. We have to talk about this other case that is just so stomach turning. People in clayton, new jersey dealing with the death of autumn pasquale. Their mother turned them in after she read that one of the brothers posted about autumn on the Facebook Page. Theyre charged with first degree furnisheder. Police say the younger boy, the 15yearold lured autumn to their house with a story about bicycle parts. The bike was recovered from the brothers home. Her body was discovered in a recycle bin nearby. Last night at a church in new jersey, there wasnt room for the 1,000 people who came for a Prayer Service for autumn. The crowd filled the lawn of the church and spilled into the street. Autumn would have celebrated her 13th birthday next week. Neighbors and relatives told reporters they can hardly believe whats happened. Im scared. Its devastating. Its unnerving. This is a nice quiet town. We have lost a precious, precious child. Gut wrenching. If you see anybody do this to a child. Its terrible. And i think, we should say, the prosecutor is considering trying the teens as adults. I want to bring hln Law Enforcement analyst mieblg brooks back. What is the plausibility at 15 and 17 for this crime. She was zrangled and died of Blunt Force Trauma. Whats the possibility these kids are going to get waived. I think theres a possibility they could. In the state of new jersey, theyre charged with murder, body disposal, tampering with evidence and the 15yearold is charged with luring. But i think theres a good possibility, and one of the local newark newspapers was reporting that their father had said that they had baen rested for buys wall theicycle thefts. Theyre going to look at everything, the july nil records before they decide whether or not they will try them as adults. But i think theres a very good possibility. And just because of the way the body was dumped. The whole thing is, it looks as if it were for bicycle parts of her bmx bike. She was real big into this bike that she had, very proud of it and they lured her over there, possibly for parts of her bicycle and apparently they strangled her. The autopsy said that they strangled her and put her in this recycling bin of a vacate property down the street. And 15 and 17 years old, i think thats what people have a hard time wrapping their head around, how do you think of Something Like this, let alone doing Something Like this at that age. What stood out, too, was the fact that these suspects, the mother noticed what was on facebook and turned them in. Two questions for you, one, do we know what the posts on facebook were, and two, what does it tell you that their own mother called them in . She absolutely did the right thing. I mean, you know, apparently the post was from the younger one, the 15yearold. And it said might be moving, with a sad face. And apparently she saw this on sunday and became suspicious. And then, i mean, theyre neighbors. Theyre neighbors. So had also had they been acting suspicious. We dont know that. But for those kids mother to turn them in, that had to be a very, very difficult thing. But it was the right thing for her to do. And what it speaks to this case as well, because there was a Facebook Page made for autumn right after she vanished. People trying to find her. There were hundreds of people that came out to look for her. How has social media shaped the way authorities worked at this point in cases like this, mike . Big time. Apparently one of the two teens also posted on that website. On the autumn Facebook Page . On the autumn Facebook Page. But we see in social media now in so many cases where it is one of the first things investigators go to. Before it used to be cell phones. Cell phone records, computers. But now tied in with all that is what people put on twitter. What they put on facebook, what they put on my space, linked in. Theres all these Different Social Media social media sites that will investigators will immediately turn to. Because we saw in the rhavi case out of new jersey where there was a posting on there may be somebody had seen it earlier, it might have saved the mans life. We dont know. But it plays such a role in investigations now. They have people dealing with social media and computers and getting information and theyre getting very good cooperation also i must say from people like facebook, twitter. Especially when theres circumstances involved and have a subpoena, theyre working closely with these social Media Outlets to be more pro active than reactive. Symptoms include headaches, fever and possible strokes. Fatal shooting at a megachurch. Police know who did it now, but they havent been able to catch him yet. Theres one man thats dead in this church in college park, georgia. Its just south of at lant a. Were going to get the latest information from fran jeffries. Shes at the international constitution. I know theyve got a suspect. Tell us more about it. The suspect is lloyd palmer. Hes 52 years old and he is a former employee of the church who resigned in august. And police say that he walked calmly into the church and left just as calmly after the shooting. Were showing you his pictures here. He is considered, as i understand it, armed and dangerous, is that right . That is correct. Did he fire just one shot or several . Because i understand that the victim was shot at point blank range. Police said he fired several shots, but there was only one person who was actually shot, and that was the person who died. But several shots were fired. What do we know about that man who died . We dont police havent identified the victim just yet, but we understand that this is a person who attended the church and worked at the church also as a facilities manager and that this person was actually doing leading prayer at the time of the shooting. And he was on stage; is that right . When he was leading the prayer . Thats what we understand, he was on stage leading the prayer at the time of the shooting, and there were 20 to 25 people gathered at the time. Were showing the picture of lloyd palmer now because we know that theyre still looking for him. What do we know about how he got away and his whereabouts at this point . We understand, as i said, that he walked in calmly, did the shooting and then walked out. According to police, he may have left the scene in a black subaru. We dont have any more details other than he left in a black subaru. What are authorities doing right now . They are, of course, looking for him. They are interviewing witnesses who were at the church at the time. And, you know, thats about it at this point. As far as we know. There was a daycare adjacent to the chapel there. Are all those kids okay . Those kids are fine, as far as we know. They were protected at the time of the shooting, and, you know, right after the shooting, but they are okay. As far as we know, there was only one victim of the shooting. Do we know how it was that the authorities were able to identify the suspect . Was it from people who were there and recognized him . Exactly. There were witnesses who were able to help police with that. Did he have any relationship with the victim, do we know . Was he targeted . Police arent sure whether the person who was killed was targeted or whether this was random. They have not been able to at least, they havent told us that yet, so we dont know for sure. Their mother you heard me right turned them in after she read something one of the brothers posted about autumn on his Facebook Page. The boys are 15 and 17 years old and charged now with firstdegree murder. Police say the younger boy lured her to his house with a story about bicycle parts. Autumns bmx bike was recovered from the brothers home and her body was discovered in a recycle bin nearby, two days after she disappeared, by the way. He has escalated his violence beginning probably a year ago, maybe even a little longer, and it culminated with the brutal murder of this young 10yearold who was scrubbed with sunshine. Also following breaking news out of the atlanta area right now, because a Fatal Shooting at a megachurch there has Police Looking for a major suspect. Although now they do know who theyre looking for, they just havent been able to catch him yet. One man is dead in this church just south of atlanta. The victim was a volunteer and was leading a prayer during a service when this happened. Police say the shooter walked calmly into the Church Dressed in a suit and tie and opened fire and left just as calmly. We are looking into whether he was targeted as he was the only person that was shot. Reports were that he walked up to the stage where the victim was standing and that the victim was shot at close range. Police arent sure if he knew the shooter, but Police Identify the gunman as this man, 52yearold floyd palmer, a former Church Employee who resigned, police say, for personal reasons back in august. He is on the loose now, they believe, in a black subaru station wagon. Police do consider him armed and dangerous. The shooting happened late this morning at the World Changer International church led by world renowned minister creslow dollar. I want to get to that meningitis outbreak. It spread to 17 states. 1700 have died, more than 700 are sick all from tainted injections made from a pharmacy called necc. The cdc has launched a criminal investigation. The pharmacy has lost its license. What do we know, first of all, about necc and its practices . As you said, theyre no longer operating, but they were paid a visit and reported what they saw. What they noticed was these folks were shipping out drugs before they did their own safety tests. Routinely you do a safety test and then you ship out the drugs, and it appears they were just skipping that step of doing the safety test, and they actually found dirty Lab Equipment at that facility, and now the facility obviously has lost its license, but so have three of the chief pharmacists who used to work there. I was going to ask, is there any one person theyre Holding Accountable or a group . So far its just threee thre. I wouldnt be surprised if there are more, but so far just the three. What are the possibility of other contaminations in other medications . I asked the cdc and they said, we are testing more medications. They found fungus in the back medication, and theyre testing other drugs there. They had unsterile Lab Equipment. It could have affected more than just that one medication, and now people are receiving calls who took other medications and theyre being told, you took a medication where there is sort of high risk you took something bad and it may have hurt you. This pharmacy is huge. This is a list of their customers. That right there . This is a list of their customers. When i say customers, i mean hospitals when you say list, this is tiny, tiny, tiny print. And then you have all of this. So how many customers . I mean, i know you can count all of these, but thousands of customers. And whats especially interesting here is they dont know what other drugs were contaminated. They know about this one, the back pain medication that got injected into peoples spines, but there may have been others that were contaminated as well, and theyre doing that testing now to try to figure that out. So doctors offices are calling people, is that right . Is that the way it should be . The way it appears this is happening is Government Agencies are calling hospitals like some of the ones on this list and say, hey, you received some medications that might be contaminated. You should reach out to your patients and tell them to be on the lookout, because its possible that someone got a shot, say, in midseptember and theyre not sick yet but theyre harboring a fungus. How long would it be before they would recognize the symptoms . And go through the symptoms for us, please. The symptoms appear probably six weeks after getting one of these shots. Six weeks is about what theyre saying. It could start out as something just as routine as a headache. You might just have a headache or you might feel nauseous and think you have a virus but then it starts to become more obvious that its something different. People have signs of a stroke, for example, or they have trouble walking. Again, just a tragic story. 10yearold Jessica Ridgeway gets mom says goodbye, taking a two, threeblock walk to meet up with friends and will walk to school and never makes it to the park. Then as shes found brutally murdered, dismembered. Mike brooks is with us. Couple of quick reap minders. Jane velezmitchell digging in on this one at 7 00 and nancy grace at 8 00 and 10 00 eastern. Mike, lets get back to the when we had may of this year is a 22yearold female jogger says she claimed she was attacked by some guy who tried to put a chemical rag in her mouth. She was able to escape. And then we found out the dna potentially from that incident matched the crime scene from jessicas case. They are not saying but i think thats probably what led them in that particular case. That in a statement, press release today, from the Westminster Police, they said that, quote, late tuesday evening, Police Received a call that led them to a home. One we are looking at now. Near the open space with this discovery they made an arrest of which we heard now the 17yearold. This in fact, had this house this house is near that lake open space where the attempted abduction took place over the memorial day weekend. We have this guy now, mike, 17 years old. A lot of questions to come up does who does he live with . Does he live with his parents . Does he live with a guardian . Now that they have this house, thats going to open up another part of the investigation of all of the neighbors, neighborhood canvass. I guarantee you, this home they are in now, you see some of the evidence technicians in the white suits. Thats to make sure they dont put my of their dna, any hairs and fibers inside of that house. They are going to be going over that house with a pine tooth comb. You are going to have the Fbi Evidence Response Team who we have seen already involved in this case. We are going to have the Colorado Bureau of investigation and Westminster Police who is the lead agency here. So again, they are going to be here and im guarantee you they will be here quite some time because i worked crime scenes like this. They will be there through the might. You heard what the chief said. They have been working nonstop around the clock since october 5 when little jessica disappear. What do you make of it that, number one, authorities out of the gate said they worked thousand of tips and thanked everyone for the help. Then want more help here. They want to ask the community if they have seen anything. When they say the investigation continues, where do we go from here after you have an arrest in case like this . You take this guy and put this guy under a microscope. You look at everything. And you know, we were talking, talked about it in different cases. Where was he on a particular day . Then they are sending out communications to other Law Enforcement agencies. Here the picture. After they get his after they get his fingerprints and get dna profile, they will put that out there also saying do you have anything, any unsolved cases . Any attempted abductions . Any other case that this guy might be involved in . You know, so they are putting that out there to everybody in this area because dash look at the area where this took place. You had her house, you had her backpack and water bottle found a little bit northwest of where she was taken. Then her body found a little bit southwest as we look at this map. Take this map, blow it up by 100 miles. Thats where the Law Enforcement agencies will look to see if he is involved in anything else. Have been digging ever since. Hang around here. Whats going on at that house, we will get to that as well. Another issue that we have talked about that back in may, 22yearold female jogger, she claimed she was attacked by the young man. How important is that for the community to see that picture again . What are you hoping for . Im taking his picture and plastering it all over this particular area. Because i was as you and i were discussing early before the presser, if this guy attempted an abduction back in may and then he allegedly had murdered Jessica Ridgeway and dna lead to a death, most likedly and tips, probably, is he involved in anything else . I would say yes. I would say he was probably may have been involved in other attempted abductions. Thats what Law Enforcement is thinking, too, or wouldnt ask the public to take a look at this. Wouldnt ask the media to put his picture out there. Interesting, mike, because the suspect you know, in the other case, medium build, 56 to 58. That was also crucial. Victim on may 28 was able to give that kind of description of the of her attacker. And, you know, we are going to see Something Else i found very interesting, too. You look at that picture, mike. You look. Mug shot . Yes. Show that again. He has hes got looks like maybe a leather or something around his neck. I would like to know whats on the other end of that because they were wondering if there was a handmade wooden cross that was found that may have had any connection to this. I wonder if that was something he may have left there and i was wondering if maybe he is wearing something similar to that. This just me as mike brooks, former investigator. That would be something that i would be looking at. And taking pictures of and it is hard to see whats on the end of that because i dont know if the if the if he wears a cross or not. They were talking about that being a possible connection. Again, we listened to the press conference on hln. Here tees chief of police. We notified the ridgeway family this morning of this arrest. We hope and pray that this arrest gives them some measure of closure in dealing with this horrible tragedy and loss that they have suffered. We hope also that knowing that an arrest has been made in this case, can cause our community to rest a little easier. And maybe feel a little safer. Again, you heard the authorities talking about this arrest giving the family and Community Comfort here through grief and unimaginable grief for jessicas family. There he is. 17yearold austin sigg. Clarify whether or not the dna matched from that incident to jessicas murder, what do we know . Reports indicating it right right. We are not hearing that for sure. Because they say that the arrest warrant is sealed. We know there they had taken over 500 dna swabs and in connection with this murder case, mike. They were taking it from neighbors, from people who lived in the area. And anyone that may have fit the description of this. It is also interesting two different times during the presser, mike, it asks someone asked if he turned himself in. And that was asked twice and they would not saw so. But, you know, it is going to be interesting to find out a little bit more about him. Okay. Getting brandnew information now. We spoke, one of our producers spoke with a neighbor of austin sigg. Here is what we finding out. Neighbor that lives across street saying this. Austin has always been kind of weird. He hasnt seen him too much in the past few weeks. He did see him entering and leaving his home and also noting austin lives with his mom and brother. Again, that information coming to us. We spoke to a neighbor, austin sigg. 17yearold arrested in the murder of Jessica Ridgeway. I am wondering if maybe it was someone in his neighborhood that made the call about him seeing some of the things seeing on tv with the attack there, may 28. Because, again, the police chief said the tips are very, very helpful and instrumental in this particular case. And in their presser, in the little release they had last night, apparently it said it was a call that led them to this house. So again, im sure it was probably a combination of good Old Fashioned police work, possibly dna, mike. And tips from the public. Looks like they are taking a car away here. Yeah. Thats going to be anything thats associated with this particular case because im sure he didnt walk all the way north and all the way south from where the backpack was found to where her body was found. This is the only vehicle, you know, living there with his mom and brother, this is the only vehicle. This could be a treasuretrove of evidence. Dna, blood, hair, fibers, finger prints, you name it, they will be taking that and taking it to the fbi offsite where the Evidence Response Team is most likely will be going over this with a finetooth comb. Forensic vacuums, you name it, they will be using it on that a and everything inside that house. This investigation continues. How about this headline . Youth football game. 10 and 12yearold kids. There were five concussions in one game. And they continued playing the game. Now this is obviously called quite a caused quite a controversy. What happened at the end of the day, coaches for both Team Suspended the rest of the season. Referees banned for life. Youth football. 10 to 12yearold kids, weight limit of 120 pounds. From what we understand, it is south bridge is they win the game 520. Within the first six plays, three kids suffered concussions at the end of the day, five kids suffered concussions. The questions here, why didnt somebody one step up . Hey, im a dad. My kids have played football. Im as competitive as the next dad. But when that is going on, by the way, general youth football coverage here, this is not the actual game we are talking about. Why didnt the adults step up and protect the kids . Starting with the losing kids. When you are players are dropping like flies and you are overmatched, talk to the other coach and say we have to do something here or we are going have to stop the game. Referees should have done something. Lets get more now. Ken bellson wrote about this for the new york times. He has done a great job, as everyone wonders what was going on out there . How bad was it for these kids on the team, five concussions in the ball game . Yeah. I mean, that speaks for itself. They only started the game with 17. Five out of 17 were knocked out. That kind of tells you right there they were overmatched. And when you are losing by 28 points or more, they put a mercy rule in play. And then the game is sped up. They keep running the clock. And it is meant so you dont have these games where the team just keeps piling on. Even with that, they kept playing with only 12, 13 kids. So the coach from that team was also suspended because he played with so few players and put the remaining kids in jeopardy as well. Did he know that did someone diagnose concussions on the sideline . No. They have an emt that is there, volunteer, who was the sidelines. And he saw what had been called preconcussion signals. The kids eyes were rolling in his head, dizzy. As a precaution, they took the kid out of the game and the kids take off their shoulder pads and not allowed back in. It was only a couple of days later they were formally diagnosed with a concussion. It was obviously enough evidence to take them out of the game. That should have been the signal right there. Yeah. Absolutely. Because from what we are gathering here, correct me if i am wrong, but they had this meeting thursday. Finally deal with it. Coach on the losing team, he kept playing because i i think the quote is he wanted his kids to score, leave them with something. Is that that was his reasoning here . Yeah. And interestingly that was his reasoning or you know, supposed reasoning that hey, you know, at least score one touchdown so the kids feeling a little bit of pride. Another parent told me that, you know, if you had spoken to the kids that were remaining, 12, 13 kids still on the field, you know, they would have told you they wanted to keep going. Well, thats easy for a parent to say. It is not clear that a 10 or 11yearold kid can express his fear and say you know what, i see my friends get knocked out, i dont want to be the next. Exact. I a bit of the adults driving the bus important the kids. Yeah. Not step up for the kids. What about the referees . Did the referees i mean, when two teams are outmatched like that, i mean, you hope the coaches and referees get together and say we have do something here, call this off. This just yeah. Kid safety issue good mercy rule, you know. What is that exactly . I mean, that means you just keep the clock running, no matter if there is a timeout or whatever, just hope the game ends soon before it gets any worse, right . Yeah. Thats one of the primary rules. The other is that if if there is an interception or a fumble, you dont run it back. Play is dead at that point. Wills a lot of ways to sort of try to even the field. You are right. Game still goes on. Thats the first thing. Second thing is the refs should have known that you know, you are not allowed to play with fewer than 16 kids. So after the first couple of plays where three kids were knocked out, they were already below the minimum. The ref should available to see that there were fewer kids going in and out for substitutions and so the refs should take rightly some of the blame here because thats their job is to pay attention. What do we know about the coach on the winning side, i know had a quote that has people fired up. Basically he is challenging he says it is the other teams fault. They should have came to him and said our guys are getting injured and let him know that. His quote was, you know, hey, this is a football game. Not a hallmark moment. Whats his contention here . Anything more we need to know from him . Well, he was suspended because apparently he was told that he didnt stop the game himself. You know. In other words, recognizing that his team is running over the other team. He should have taken the initiative. His point is why should i the one to forfeit . You know. He said it is the other team had better trained players, they wouldnt have been injured in the first place. Thats deflecting blame and responsibility. To be frank. He also said that look, ididnt know the kids had concussions. They didnt drop on the field. They just came off the field and were diagnosed on the opposing sideline. But this coach has a reputation of being a hard driver. And, you know, he did not shy away from expressing his belief that, you know, this football military endeavor. No. I think there is a little bit of small town politics going on here, too. Sounds like it. Sounds like they are a Accomplished Program and have a very expansive website. They were those of jessica. Authorities found a direct connection between dna found at the ridgeway crime scene and that of another attack involving an adult woman, a 22yearold jogging last may. Investigators found a wooden cross at the scene and they think it might have been belonged to her killer. Well be all over this. Were not getting a lot of details here but arrest made and potential connection here to the female jogger who was potentially attacked last may. Mike, good afternoon. Im not surprised at all. In my conversations with you and christi paul over the last several days, i anticipated the perpetrator would be somebody from that community. You may recall he would be in his early 20s. This fellow is a little younger than typical child abduction murderer. I characterized him yesterday as a fresh out of the box homicidal psychopath. This young fellow, very dangerous. He may have victimized other people. Im not surprised at all that Law Enforcement that just descended on this home. This arrest didnt come, from what i can see, they would have been there before. I tend to think from what im hearing hes living with his mother and a brother, that family members convinced him to turn himself in before anything else occurred. Thats not official but a lot of questions came at Law Enforcement at that press conference asking if he did, indeed, turn himself in. I believe we have one of austin siggs neighbors on the phone. Caller i was totally shocked like everybody else, you know. What do you know about austin . Backtracking here. Have you seen him recently . When was the last time you saw him . Caller i would see him go up and down the street going to school. I thought he was in high school. I guess he dropped out of stanley and went to Arapaho Community College or whatever. His mom has been to the house for get togethers. We have a great neighborhood. We get together for little gettogethers at peoples house. His mom has been over here. Shes very quiet and to herself. They have always had cats they havent taken very good care of and the cats would get out. Ive always had big dogs and the cats would come in the yard to the point of making my dog fall and get hurt. So i asked him to come get his cat. He was polite, came and got the cat, no problem, said hed keep the cats home. You know, thats kind of basically all the interaction i had with him. Have you seen him . Did he have friends . Did you ever see him interacting with other people his age . Caller well, you know, yesterday they were kids on segways, i dont know, they were going up and down the streets. Its an irritating noise. There were two kids up and down the street yesterday and wen over to the house. I dont know if they were there to see parker or austin. Anything else you can tell us about austin . Youve had minimal interaction with him, sharon . Hes always been polite, you know. It was usually animal related. Did he seem quiet, to himself . Right, uhhuh. You say the family was like that as well. Who lives in that home . Its austin. The mom was a single mom and parker. As continue, marker and the mom mindy. She had a boyfriend for a little while. But you know, that kind of broke off maybe a month or so ago. I dont see his car there anymore. Have you talked to any of your other neighbors about this . We all are looking out our windows talking to each other. Do other neighbors have any more contact with austin, shed any more light on who he is, what hes about . Dan thompson that lives next to me, which lives next door to them. He knows those kids from when they were tiny kids. Parker wasnt even born yet. Hes had the most contact. He has a son about the same age as austin. What did he say . I think austin used to go to their house and play and vice versa. What did he say about austin . What was his interaction . But this is something that may have recently occurred within the past year or two. We hear that he had been in high school or that he dropped out. Who knows whats going on with him. I would like to just comment, earlier hln analyst talked about the rope, twine around this young mans neck. I, too, once i saw that, i firmly believe that cross might have been what triggered something, that somebody said something and that was the key, especially with the closeness to the lake and where the school was located, it had to be somebody close by. Again, normally we dont show the picture of a suspect if they are not an adult, however the authorities want this picture out there. Thats 17yearold austin sigg arrested in the murder of 10yearold Jessica Ridgeway. Police just want the publics help. Have they seen the picture. Do they know him . Have they seen him in the areas of the home. The place where the backpack, water bottle was found. They want to hear from you. 6584336 as the investigation continues. They had a press conference a short time ago. Lets listen to a little of that. There are two charges one and two, first degree murder, two counts related to Jessica Ridgeway case. A kidnapping case, charge number three, related to the Jessica Ridgeway case. There are two criminal attempt, one is for murder and the other is for kidnapping. The fourth and fifth, those two subsequent charges are for relation to the lake abduction. That lake abduction referring to a previous case that was london, england, to Jessica Ridgeways murder because of darn. Authorities said there was a direct connection involving an adult woman. Jessica last seen october 5th, said goodbye to her mom to meet up with friends so they could walk the rest of the way to school. They were going to meet at a nearby park. Want to bring in my colleague. Jane velezmitchell. We had a chance to talk to one of the neighbors here. Few details. Getting kind of weird, kept to himself. Lives with mom and brother. Any information you can add, jane. Yes, one of my producers and were all over this tonight at 7 00 p. M. Eastern. One of my producers just got off the phone with another neighbor who wants to remain anonymous but said his son and austin grew up together. They would go on camping trips together and his son just spoke to him last sunday and he seemed fine and everything was absolutely normal. They were talking about normal college stuff. There didnt seem to be anything out of place. He also described the suspect as a very respectful and polite young man who has always been sort of a great kid throughout the entire time they have known him, which is pretty much all his life. Its extremely hard to reconcile that with some of the details of the cases in which he is a suspect. In the Jessica Ridgeway case, the horror of it is that her body was not found intact. What does that mean . What are investigators going to find out when they go into the suspects home as they are doing right now and confiscating his car. When you go back to the other case in which he was a suspect, the attempted assault, the attack on this jogger who got away, the suspect used a rag with chemicals on it and tried to put it over the womans face according to police. Those are extremely sinister things were talking about. The people in this community are having a very hard time recognizing those sinister things with this young man who has grown up in their midst. Thats why they are devastated and they are shocked. Those are the same words the neighbor i had a chance to talk to a moment ago said, jane, shocked. Said austin siggs mom had been to her house, been to neighborhood gettogethers and neighborhood things like the siggs cats got out and the neighbor had to deal with austin. Said he was a pretty polite kid. You never know. Now a community, this great neighborhood dealing with the arrest of this horrific murder of a 10yearold girl. Lets clarify, jane. From your reporting, did the dna match from the jogging female jogger who was allegedly attacked . Is that a dna match . We heard there was a direct link according to authorities. They didnt get very much detail on that. However, a local newspaper reported a couple days ago that its Police Sources said that the direct match was a dna link but we havent been able to independently confirm that. That was what they reported a couple days ago and seems like it was in line with obviously what police are saying. One other point thats really fascinating to me, mike, remember when they talked initially about this jogging case, they said there had been a previous case in 2010. Were talking two years ago, which would have made this suspect 15 at the time. The 2010 woman who said somebody attempted to attack her gave a similar description.
