Miss walker already said . Raymond lee is also here, our compliance supervisor and we are not due for another Quarterly Report to the next meeting but he is here to speak on the status of the local contracting subject to the 50 both for contract, subcontract, professional services as well as hiring. Compliance supervisor, for clarification, the programs under lennar or program implemented our subject to the compliance programs both for Small Business contracting as well as local workforce. Of course our Small Business contracting is at 50 and local workforce is at 50 . In terms of contracting overall, lennar has exceeded our contracting requirements in terms of engaging Small Businesses. In the next Quarterly Report i can provide specific details in terms of engagement of the Hunters Point businesses. In terms of local workforce, they are currently at about 46 overall for both shipyard and the Hunters Point area but i want to say over 33 of the workforce hours are currently deployed by Hunters Point residence for the demolition infrastructure projects. Thank you. I must reiterate to lennar and oci that the reason why we are having this conversation is because the committee was not involved and overall conversation and outreach until the community brought the outreach to the forefront to have the meetings that were had. Now that we are on the road to having a substantive dialogue and that lennar has made the decision to not implode, its important and i cannot say this in a stronger, that the dialogue with the community to find out what the community wants. Dont rely on the Oversight Community or the dph. The Community Requires that you sit down and talk to us and this is how we are going to forge a relationship with lennar so that they can hear what the concerns and they can get their project on board because until that happens and having a monologue and going through the department of Public Health and having this dust study done without including the community, its just not a good sign that they want to have it robust conversation with us on this. So, i beg the commissioners to implore lennar to talk with the communities because their concerns, they are residents who are here today like myself who live right next to the park. I walk my dogs around the park every day and i understand what happens. I took the pictures that dr. Thompson showed you earlier. I know that there are violations out there that we need to not bring this to your attention in this forum. We need to have a conversation with lennar in a neighborly effort to try and hear us and resolve are concerns and not run to report everything we find that we should have that relationship to discuss this stuff with lennar. When the [indiscernible] were in town and they had 30,000 cars theyre all at once it was difficult but the one thing we did have with the 49ers, we had communication. We had game day, communication. Momenta moment communication. We had, there was a telephone number and a groundskeeper, a pr person at the beck and call of the community to address any concerns that happened around the stadium. It worked smoothly and we got along very well and this is what we are trying to forge with lennar to take them out of all of the oversight and talk to us about whats going on. I think thats an excellent point. I would invite that dialogue. One point for clarity. As you refer to these documents and the dust abatement program, some of the same flaws i discussed previously in the presentation to you, the same methodology being employed, air studies from the San Francisco airport is whats being judged in terms of air flow for Hunters Point. We need micro climate studies of the airflow. If you go home im an old teacher so here is an experiment. Getty hairdryer and put some confetti in a bowl, take the hairdryer and blow it at the level, you see it will swirl around. Get a stack of books, take a bigger bowl, put it on top of it, put confetti around it and put the smaller bowl beneath it, then take the hairdryer and blow it. On low speed. You see the turbulence that flows behind it and you see the air being transferred in the lower bowl. These are the phenomenons we are talking about when we talk about [indiscernible] the geographic and conditions. This is what we want measured. When you get to Weather Report at night, you notice the wind on the ground is different than whats in the hills. Same thing but it is a microclimate. The despairing nation and shift in wind can determine which direction of blows and. We would also like to see the monitors in the community. With the swirling effect with the land causing just like if you go out here and you go by the fox plaza, the wind will be blowing here differently. The same phenomenon in terms of a microclimate and the increased exposure where the particles settle in the neighborhood is not measured in the documents i see. Therefore that brings possibility of greater risk to exposure to particulates in certain areas and climates within the community. These micro climate factors have not been into consideration and any documents. I find that as a grievous shortcoming that we wanted to sit down and scientifically in a constructive manner, rather than the three minute dog and pony show, presented and see what the best method and dust suppression method we use that we would like to see adapted in formulated at candlestick. We are talking about longterm exposure, lowlevel accumulative affect. Thank you again. I do think this is the nature of the directors report. It is not a regulatory hearing where regulatory body. But i would like to get information back from the department of Public Health, thirdparty monitor and what are the responsibilities of those agencies and entities to get a sense of debate, do they become a partner or can we enlist their support in cementing a dialogue kinda bridging the gaps between the community and lennar. Im interested in what they can do. Does that make sense . Yes. The representative could not be here today to participate in this discussion but we would be glad to facilitate the discussion with lennar dph in the Community Constituents to make sure the dust control measures are in place. And certainly the communication, if there is room for improvement. If i may, we are already working on setting up that meeting with the Public Health department, lennar and members of the Community Set up through golden gate university. Thank you. I think that concludes that item. There is no action by the commission. Can you call the next item . The next order of business is commissioners questions and matters . Do any of the commissioners have questions or matters . Since we are talking about community outreach, our commission, our oci is communicating the notice of meeting to communities . Do we have a list . Is it online . Do we email . All of the above and we also are exploring based on [indiscernible] you gave a while back what other channels and other opportunities exploring new technologies like a nextdoor. We are exploring project manager staff level for ongoing meetings so other people who are not on our list dont ask to receive this the emails or online. We also partner with a number of organizations such as the Southeast CommunityFacility Commission who distributes it widely both online to an email distribution list as well as Hunters Point shipyard citizens advisory committee, several hundred members. They are both in addition and redundant to our own efforts. I would like all to also suggest we contact or collaborate with the integration agency, it is a long name of the agency because they have a very extensive list and have lists of many minority organizations. That perhaps we could ask them to forward. We do have a list but i wanted give it to you [indiscernible] of our commission meeting. Thank you. Next item . The next order of business is item 10, closed session. There are no clothes session items. The next order of business is item 11, adjournment. The meeting is adjourned at 4 13 pm. Thank you. You didnt call the commissioners questions. I had a brief comment. On the record because i thought you were going to call Public Comment on commissioners questions and you didnt. I wanted to point out two things. One is with regard to the commissioners question about language communications. I would think tagalong would be an important language and it doesnt sound like thats being dealt with. Also on all construction issues, the history with the department of health especially in other departments and especially with the department of health, we have found on issues like the Hunters Point shipyard and other construction issues that they have been terrible on these Health Issues and claim things that are safe that are not safe. So, i would say you is a commission we cannot just ask them but give them direction because the past experience on all of this stuff has been terrible. Thats why i want to know what the scope is. As an example, claiming there are safe levels of is best us exposure when there are not. The epa and Health Department both got up and said there are okay levels of asbestos exposures and there are not. So thats the kind of thing we need you to be vigilant with them about. Thank you. Thank you. On that note, the meeting is adjourned at 4 15 pm
