Donahue is not here. Rick lopez. Good morning, im the president of the park association. I was not on the bus that tested the route. I echo the Great Community leader as well as i who handled the corridor in glen park. Im happy that the rest of the route is approved but the 35 is not acceptable. It is one of the most busiest tiny streets and one of the safe havens for the community itself. We had a great big plan that was done and approved and took about 11 years to get that approved. Actually Glen Park Community Plan has a bus loop and it is in front of the battery bart station and nazi plan and that should be used. The statement of the cross corners of the community to reach bart is on wilder street. We have seen people get hit and thrown up in the air. It does not comply with your vision zero absolutely not. There is so many pedestrians that cross. This is a tiny street there. Another thing is that the bus that stops there already at diamond and wilder actually comes into and blocks the out portion end portion of wilder and diamond. So it is not even a great design. The business communities do use the streets to drop off their stuff and do deliveries. We do this to keep the traffic flowing along the main streets on diamond so we are working to make things flow. Thank you. Thank you very much. John decastro . Good morning, John Decastro with portrero boosters association. We appreciate the effort of the mta Team Including the organization. One of the key things that my president asked know call forward it was fact that Portrero Hill has 8,000 additional Housing Units in planning that is not included in your thinking. That is another 15,000 people plus in potrero hill. This is going to have to be monitored very carefully. There were comments that there was extreme desire from Portrero Hill to mission bay by muni and that was heavily overstated. I walked to the ucsf gym to my house. Its to Service Mission bay, not potrero hill. Keep that in mind. The 22 changes which i believe is called the 55, you have three steep blocks from 18th street down to 16th street. 16th street is also a freeway. The traffic, the p. D. Cant control the traffic on 16th street. You have to get across on 16th street on the eastern side of the line. We also appreciate the increase of frequency on the 10. Its been desperately needed for years. It was cut back 34 years ago. Hopefully that will happen quickly. Second street to cal train is still a problem. You need to get pcos out there and mark the grids on the entrances and get people to stop stopping at intersection. It destroys the bus line every afternoon. The other one too. Thank you very much. Well continue to monitor this. I have a letter here. Good morning. My name is chris road i live in glen park. I want to thank everyone for the opportunity to speak here and the work thats combon in the tep project. Im strongly opposed obviously because i live on wilder street on the bus going down wilder and im against the idea of rerouting the 35 eureka without further discussion. I think any decision should be postponed with any meeting and Public Outreach scheduled well in advance. People impacted should be notified for rider ship along with forecast and targets should be reviewed. I noticed in the slide earlier one of the key points was data analysis. I dont believe thats part of the current planning process. Its not clear that rider ship forecast or targets were any type of planning has been performed in a scientific manner. Once everyone has examined the problem well collectively find it doesnt do anything but perhaps to change to improve the reliability of 52 and Diamond Heights where they both share a common stop and today you can achieve the goal with muni bart with a 2minute transfer. I have this all written. Im going to leave a copy here. The 35 eureka has an average 900 riders a day and you get most riders. Isnt muni supposed to plan changes delay buses before. Arent they supposed to plan before they make changes . There has been discussions that muni will adjust the transit line so on after they have implemented the plan. It seems kind of back wards. Shawn kennedy stated while we understand the concerns of these groups raised that the commercial aspect of the street double parking congestion. Thank you, sir. I will leave a copy. Thank you. Good morning. I brought additional presentation. However the pdf is not working because the acrobat is not updated. As usually the muni is not up to speed. There is no outreach at laborers and businesses. There is none whatsoever. Many of these are struggling immigrant businesses. For example the acupuncturist is severely impacted that this stopping in front of her business. Before the 30th of january there were no documents available and no neighborhood outreach. Not one meeting. There was not anybody that came around to various businesses and residents. How would you feel if we moved the engine and people are not going to be able to sleep and they are going to have a very difficult time and im going to have to move and i know the japanese restaurant is very upset. She gets very upset when i move the bash garbage cans in front of her place. The fact that hundreds are people are loitering in front waiting for the about us to go to outside lands or people disembarking at 1 choik 1 00 in the morning and screaming. I think we really need to reevaluate this program. I encourage you to vote no. I see very little or no minority representation of this board. I hope that you will remember that your parents were there as immigrants and what they have to go 32 through to struggle 1215 hours a day and you have to say that you have done Community Outreach that you talked to people and you do not represent the people of this community. Next speaker. Good morning, i would like to thank the particularly the policy and Governance Committee of the organization for the time that you have put in on our request about the no. 6. I live on masonic avenue between waller and frederick and there are many many elderly people on our block. When we heard this was going to be discontinued there was many anger. We need to get down there for medical appointments and what have you. I would like to thank the changes that are the new recommendations of the policy and Government Committee and we look forward to continuing to use a very essential bus, not just for our block, but for the many people that live in the upper haight. Thank you. Next speaker. William passky. Good morning, sir. Im concerned about the traffic on 29. Is it possible for traffic on 23rd street heading west to make a dog line and continue on 23rd street. Its also possible for traffic heading north to go right on 23rd street and head east. This diagram is not clear as to how the traffic will be rerouted. If it is possible to continue 23rd street east, the markings on the street will confuse the drivers. They will not know handout you to proceed. Even now its very confusing. I would like to bring this to your attention. Next speaker . Marvin sanders. Yes, i would like to echo what ms. Canyon said about the revised proposal to eliminate the rerouting of 6th and cover the upper haight area. We are concerned however that its a matter of the devil being in the details, of course with the proposal to decrease frequency. Im assuming that its a frequency issue thats within the purview of this commission with the routing issue. It seems to me that the revised proposal to keep the 6 serving the upper haight area will be lossed by the diminution of the frequency of the buses. I would urge the commission to Pay Attention in that frequency. It seems not only to me during frequency during commute hours, but its an all day issue. The bus services, the ucsf traffic and many other business institutions in that upper inner sunset area and decreasing frequency during the course of the day is going to seriously affect usage of the 6 barnsz. Salvador cast ned a good morning. Im here to express my gratitude and appreciation for the board for keeping the existing 23 masonic bus stop in place. I would like to stipulate late for the record and enter in the Planning Board map that was initially sent to us. I detect a slight ambiguity in the map here. Thank you. Patricia voi. The map has the actual stops on it and this does not. I want to thank you for rerouting this for our seniors. We also have another bus stop that you eliminated at union and broadway. Seniors that have to go to the russian em cease as well as our seniors have to climb a mountain. That stop allows them to walk on flat land to both places. No. 3 is i was very very upset by the fact that when i called about this, i was told by the department, its a done deal and you dont have to, you are not going to get it. I had to become a bulldozer and i dont like having to be forced into that. I was never called back or anything. After this last meeting i had to chase down kennedy for this drawing and asked him to put the stops on it. I dont want 10 years from now another board saying we didnt have the stops on it. I do not think this department is doing outreach. I was not notified of any of this. [ applause ] i also am very upset about the 30 stockton eliminating the parking places on this strip. Which you are not taking into consideration to the tourist area. Tourist dont just take muni and bark. They drive in and drive down the coast and they use their cars to go around town and there is no way of changing it. Thank you. Catherine shin i live on portrero avenue. 20th and portrero. I have two issues. One is that you are discontinuing and extending the 9 san bruno. There is no way that you can eliminate the 33. There is a lot of elderly people that use the 33 stan ton that go to the hospital on the other side of town. Sometimes when the 9 doesnt come you use the 33 to go home. Right now the 9 l does not stop between 16th and 24th street. You have to walk home basically. Then the potrero avenue corridor landscape project began, we were not notified as the district as to what was happening until the second meeting happening. There was only 3 meetings. I went to the second and third meeting and we were told that this plan was already set up and the last meeting they reduced the number of parking spaces, but then realized or understand that there are emergency vehicles that come by on 20th street and goes all the way down from 20th avenue all the way down to guerrero. Thats the only main artery that the emergency vehicles go through. I dont know how they are going through the potrero avenue areas because of all the bicycle lanes and parking and cars and buses. So if anybody can tell me how thats going to work. Derek mcallister. Good morning, may i please have a map of the 35 changes to wilder posted on the screen and i will give you my background. Im the owner and resident of 70 nad elk street. I have lived there for 14 years. Im the grandnephew of palmer mcallister. My mother who was coowner of wilder around the corner and her daughter is unable to be here. Im speaking on her behalf as well. Neither one of us were notified in writing. We found out about it with a map in the newspaper 15 days ago. The map is inaccurate. It shows a lefthand turn which doesnt exist. The bus has to turn onto diamond to an existing bus stop. The route currently as a bus stop on the corner on wilder at the side street intersection of arlington, two intersection points. The off ramp of san jose avenue and the northbound only of native for an existing stop. No need to add another. The intersection is dangers. When you turn to go to arlington you have no line of sight for the two crosswalks which is all traffic including kids going to three separate Public Schools and all of their day trips whether its a field trip or learning exercise. They walk those pedestrian areas is extremely dangerous. I should also i helped design your district for fisherman. Wharf. Good morning. I dont want to take up anymore of why you are time. I was under the impression that you were going to stop the access broadway and not continue down to fisherman. Wharf. You are not going to stop it just turn some of the buses at broadway but most will continue along their normal route. Thank you. Good morning. My name is john pole, the Safety Advisory Committee representing seniors with disabilities in San Francisco. I commend you for the proposals, for the changes you have come up with and are here to approve the changes on portrero avenue particularly the need for bike lane and Pedestrian Safety for multiple users of the medical facilities between 21 and 25th street at San Francisco general hospital. Please continue on that process with the widening of the sidewalks and the inclusion of bike lanes and bus stops for the limited. Please continue on this for the pedestrian and Bicycle Safety on portrero avenue. Bob boden. Mr. Chair, good morning, board, director riskin. My name is body boden, the San Francisco riders union and im here to overwhelmingly support the transit improvement. Having recently come from new york city, i feel like i now know what a transit city feels like. If anything i think all of these proposals need to go much further. If this is what we have at this point, i want you to fully approve them. I also want to commend the mta for the overwhelming amount of Public Outreach they have done. As an advocacy we couldnt go to all of them. There were so many of them. There has been an overwhelming amount of Community Input and they must have a lot of attention to sort through all of those comments and i appreciate them. I know there is a temptation to meddle through these proposals and maybe wind them down to particular concerns. The tep as a whole helps 99 percent of transit riders. There are 700,000 transit riders not in this room today. People at these meetings do have valid concerns. But your role is to work out not the hundred in the room, but the 700,000 of the riders everyday. When you start pulling pieces a way, the plan falls apart. Good morning. My name is heidi hubert. Im a special Education Teacher for San Francisco. I want to thank the staff for working with the mac and hope that you continue to prioritize the services for individuals with disabilities. We would like to support the 17 to be extended to the west lake for a couple of reasons. West lake is an ada compliant building that benefits seniors with disabilities and use canes, wheelchairs. And this offers services. We would like that to be served by muni. We would like the platform that serve judea and 28 avenue. This would fill a large gap for accessible platforms. On behalf of the mac we would like to submit two letters of support. Thank you very much. Martin lam march mr. Lamb is not here. Roland block. Good morning. I also serve on the muni accessible Advisory Committee and also the mayers office on disability. Yes, im basically here also to in support of the wheelchair access platform at jud as and 28. Im hoping this will move forward to fill in the gap between ocean beach. Also for future ak sybls platforms along taraval street. Im also going to submit a letter to in support of it to the board. Thank you very much. Thank you very much, mr. Wong. Randall glok. Good morning, board, randall glok. Thank you for allowing us to serve in the Advisory Community for you. This has been fun. You heard our concerns and comments going into west lake. We heard a lot of Public Outreach as well and there is a lot of support on staff and support on the board. Its a tough thing. I have been to a lot of the tep meetings myself and i have heard a lot of the concerns. I agree tep over all is a good thing for a lot of people. There are some hick ups along the way. Keep working on the platforms. The people with disabilities need them. Thank you very much. Good morning. How are you . Just so you know my last name is pronounced ierg. I ride buses a lot and you know we are talking about speeding up service. The operators hit construction traffic and it takes time. A lot of people stand at the fare box looking for money or transfer, how with a you are proposing are going to eliminate those things or lessen them . Have you thought about that at all . And then the other thing is i ride buses a lot. A lot of times i will take the 47 inbound at broadway and van ness and take it to north point and mason, but now im going to have to transfer and take two buses which is going to take me longer. I just wanted to mention that. How are you dealing with the timing problem . Have you thought about that at all . This is your time to tell us what you would like to hear. This is going to eliminate the operators having to deal with the situations i have described. In other words, like construction traffic, double parked cars, wheelchair and disabled person and people looking for their money or transfer. I was just wondering if you thought about that at all. Thank you, next speaker. Good morning, my name is maryann chang. Im here to talk about how many of the residents are opposing the whole parking situation. I spoke last time with my personal view. I want to read the petition. It is stressful to know that well not be able to park on our streets. The people dont live in that neighborhood because they would be affected by the change. When this took place they should have checked our id to see if we lived here or not. It seems the city is giving preference to all the bicyclist who do not respect our traffic laws much less the pedestrians. Why dont we reroute them to New Hampshire street so we dont lose our parking space. No one has paid any attention to our concerns. When my husband and i return home from
