with wherever you're catching the program from today across the globe. welcome to moscow unto our international. my name's in the ukrainian leader is more interested in securing little arms than piece. now, his recent trip to washington has demonstrated doubts according to top, russian officials become, wasn't for her to do. it says really, we know with regret that neither biden nor zalinski have spoken words that could be perceived as a potential willingness to listen to. russia's concerns. no words have been heard. warnings zalinski against the shelling of residential buildings and dumb boss, and no cause for peace. have been made. this shows that the united states is de facto and indirectly fighting to the last ukranian de lensky visit to washington and his conversations. he has shown that neither the u. s. administration nor zalinski is ready for peace. the focus was on the conflict, the death of ordinary soldiers, and the further into connection of the ukrainian regime with the needs of washington or some western media outlets echoed a similar sentiment questioning why the u. s. should keep sending so much to ukraine. one example of that fox news anchor tucker carlson said he has no right to demand that washington prop off the eastern european country with tens of billions of dollars. an additional financing to either historic debt to ukraine through the historic animosity with a non soviet russia. no, no. how do we win here? what's in it for us, isn't this our country? and where are you going off talking to us like that? we hate ourselves so much. do we have so little respect for the united states of america that will put up with that? that will applaud it. thank you, sir. may i have another? what's wrong with us? what's wrong with our leaders? lensky visit to washington is apparently his 1st trip abroad since the start of the college leader. address the u. s. congress. unexpressed, his brother, choose to washington for the weapons sent, but asked for more and more money as well. after the meeting, it was agreed that the patriot missile system would be delivered to ukraine us. we just heard the politicians arrival cause the wave of criticism amongst citizens on the national media as well for somebody else to show you mux blumenthal, editor of the gray zone investigative journalism site, has posted on twitter and exchange with delegates purported to represent the ukrainian day asper as they made their way to congress, is 45000000000, not enough. not enough. how much, how much more should we give to you? great. instead of our own people, do you, do you do support the i'd love to tell you more of it as of the value. there's no more values where we're train and recruited back into a former professional army over the last year. so the neo nazis were brought into the army. no, no, no, not season. not so no answer about it. crane is a democracy. why did zalinski ban 13 opposition? partial law. we've got the national marshal law sounds on democratic. why did he band the russian wing of the orthodox church, and i to want that extra to serving as a treasonous organization. and with found, with materials that were legal and financing that the enemy war, again, innocent people, i oppose the assault on don. yes. do you, does shelling of the people have done? yes. do you oppose that? you know, no. are you why, why are civilians being killed and done yet? lugens, you oppose that. incidentally, after posting that video muck said that one person there who the exchange some comments with appeared to be a former member of the u. s. commission on security and cooperation in europe. we spoke to labor rights lawyer, and ortho dun, complex essays piece appears. distance if washington continues to provide so much heavy weaponry ticket that makes me very skeptical about how serious, either biting or is the length yard this point about truly negotiate. i don't think, generally speaking, weapons contribute to peace. i do think this is an escalation. although at the same time, i think it's also a matter of putting money in the coffers of the defense industry. you know, i think that the u. s. is happy to give that money, whether the patriot missiles are used or not. as you noted, it would take a lot of training that there's a us criminal institution, i'm forgetting which one, but that they are now sounding the alarm bells or that they expect these weapons end up in the hands of criminal element. so this is a real problem. it's the problem that i think divide administration has no interest in handling. and how do we know this? we know this because the democrats voted down in a house committee, a republican proposal to audit the weapons that have already been sent to you. so we know that the u. s. has no interest in being held accountable on any of the ok. another story to bring you today under current polish law. it's a crime to fight in the armed forces of another country. but no politicians in warsaw are set to wave the liability for those who have engaged in such actions in ukraine since 2014. now the penalty of an on authorized for re abroad is currently up to 5 years in prison. as polish citizens need a official permission from the ministry of defense to serve for another states will despite the standing threat of incarceration, no foreign fighters have been prosecuted. so for on tuesday, a funeral was held for one who lost his life on the polish army was there to give him a last tribute official claim. it was done at the sound of respect, not on endorsement, to join the conflict in new faith. according to local media, more than a 1000 post to join, the ukrainian army have been killed in the conflict comes as poland has called for more military training of its citizens. warsaw defense ministry recently announced a 2nd round of a program aimed at bringing volunteers up to par with the countries armed forces. we want as many people as possible to be trained for the basic rules of using weapons, providing medical assistance, hand to hand combat and survival in difficult terrain. oh, happy to say joining us live now in the studio to talk more in this as an independent dutch journalist. sonya vanden n day on you. welcome to the program. indeed. hello, thank you. we've just heard there that poland is seeking to take criminal liability off the table for those who are joined the ukrainian army in essence, they say internationally, but it's, it's talking but ukraine. what's the ramifications of them? well then i think it's more like a mobile ization from poland. if you think about it deeply than there's no board is no boundaries anymore for polish people to be drafted in the army. so and poland, of course is part of nato. so yeah, then actually you have nato forces fighting in ukraine. if you don't have this already, of course. what strikes me also is that they are saying that since 2014, they are, you know, fighting or at least you know, so 2014, so not 2022 and the special military operation started. so actually they as miss already the, there's a war, there was a war going on in the bus. so yeah, actually it's face, it's paving the way for drafting the polish men women in the army. you think that was a slip of sorts talking since 2014, as you say, essentially admitting that they were going there to engage in ox. that said they would say defending others would say violence against people. and on barbs, i think so because the majority western countries are ignoring the fact that there is actually a war going on since 2014. and poland is the 1st one saying now that, oh okay, i know since 2014 maybe foley what they call the mercenaries or are fighting the so, i mean, they admitted now that since 2014 and nato or do you is trying to intervene in ukraine, so this lack of criminal, my ability comes pretty much out the same time as there is a coal in poland for volunteers that come and be trained up to the levels of the armed forces. do you see a connection? is there something in the timing of this? i think so, because, you know, as an ascii, went to washington to ask for more weapons or whatever more money. but i think it's in the flying that's in as we come to what you hear, especially germany, my country, the netherlands, they are saying all the time in the media, they're going to train a ukrainian and soldiers and in germany most likely it on the stand somehow somehow were there and of course the us most likely as well. so i think it's, it's a very dangerous situation actually, but i mean, it takes time to train people of course, but this is yeah, getting more and more and yeah, it's hitting up. i mean, it, they actually admit now that nato wants to be involved in ukraine if they didn't do already. and had, it's, can be a full blown out war. nobody knows, we don't hope, but it could be. so you see poland becoming or attempting to become directly involved in the conflict. is that the end point here? no, because i think i wrote about it many times that i think poland or the polish government is a sort of a city of frederick and government or whatever. because and one hand, they really hate the germans of what was happening that happened in the 2nd world war. and maybe the rest of europe as well. and the other hand, to hate russia, the government because this tragic accident, what happened and also of course of communism. so actually they somehow, yeah, they don't like both sides. the only thing may be they like is said to us, i don't know. but their aim is to have a greater poland. this is what is what they're saying all the time. and some things like that are already they have their people inside ukraine, you know, governmental people to make maybe new laws or i don't know what they are doing. nobody knows. but this is, i think their aim to have a greater phone. and so this is there, is this essentially a d criminalization of, of mercenary activities, or am i going to far with that just breaking down. what's happening here? what appears to be happening? poland, how does that sound you've fallen line with, with international law? well it's, i think it's for better than the international law is for him assist. because when he says they are mercenaries, they are not recognized. it's like when you had said, dash fighting in syria or a i s other groups. so yeah, that actually mercenary. so you or maybe the french one, the french legion. so yeah it's, i think it's not allowed for him. it is so they are going really far. and if this is allied, if this is encouraged, do you think other countries will get them bolen? emboldened by what poland is attempting to do here, most likely because i follow western europe, germany, netherlands. and what the governments are, i nearly call it preaching every week or every month or in the european union is that they knew we have to defeat the russia. and with all means we have, well that's what's from the last that we've all means we have. so what means the shift mean? i mean, so it's dangerous it's, i think it's getting out of control at the moment or the half is every big blow defeats somewhere that it will not continue, but at the moment they ramping up their propaganda. how pulling off this through this we saw, and i'm sure you've documented this in other countries. people who have gone citizens who have gone the, they've had nationalist sentiments before this. but then the mix with extremist groups, the likes of the new nazi i dar hours off the come back to those countries where they're originally from in bold and hardened with new networks into, into terrorism. essentially it is poland, ready for the releferd patients of something like that. you think? i don't think so because i've also poland maybe that the government doesn't realize really that these people are radical lives. it's like the ones who came back from syria. i s dash they came to germany and to poland, not because poland realized the time that they were rhetoric of life and could not fit into society there. so what maybe yeah, i don't know how the government thinks there, but i think it's a very big threat to the people because if every national istic and i can imagine that they hate this precious because what i said, what they have done to poland during world war 2. so, but yeah he's, they going so far. if it's become a great opponent, they have to somehow, you know, if people have to be integrated somehow in phones, maybe for enough. it just seems as if another grain is being thrown in to 2 already a potter keg situation. this is only going to further worse in the lives of people who get no say in this matter, people from, from don't boss essentially know. and they are the ones who are suffering actually already 80 years. and what i said, this is forgotten in the west, and that was a war started in 2014 by the kia gene, who said, you know, we have to be united. but on the other hand, they said it's not for him, but this is prevented to speak russian your children. so this is what was happening and nobody in western media reported about it. nobody maybe a few, but it was not enough and ok to had the minute of course. and now we all know that they will betray it's actually the means of course, by merkel. so it's, it's really a terrible situation for the people in the, in the don't months and they are suffering enough just before we go. so it's people like you who go to who tell the independent story is there, is there more of a reaction to independent thoughts, voices like yours know than that was before? are there people coming a run that it's not one sided that there was a deeper conflict here in a deeper thing going on here. have you got more reaction to people saying yet where we want the full story? we want just not half for the mainstream media what they're telling us. yes, i think lately because the people are seeing in europe that their life is going very bit because of the guest problem may be a football of i don't know that. but as my country, the netherlands has very big, terrible, it's terrible there because the common people are guessing is very poor at the moment. they standing in line for food to imagine this rich country, maybe in the u. k. a. so i don't know about that. and now i coming through more so i'm, you know, writing a more outlets there. so i'm coming soon to europe now and they say ok, there's 2 sides of the coin. you know, it as one for the government is telling us. and actually the other story, what is coming out of rush out, what to do most. and maybe it's maybe we don't know the whole through some people slowly seeing that their own governments are tricking them. like, for instance, with the gas problem that it's actually, it's not russia selling, you know, you don't get going and he gets any more. no, it's the government who say no, we have to do it for the climate. and this is actually, yeah, my, the see more of it actually realized, well, thank you for coming in the program and sharing your thoughts with us. we do appreciate it. we've been speaking to independent district. sonya vanden and day. thanks so much. thanks. alright, just returning to the last 24 hours or so in washington is when the ukrainian president evoked a standing ovation and congress on that time just before it in fact a u. s. government spending bill year mark to run $45000000000.00 and $8.00 for key of on nature while life the legislation emphasized the ukrainian military's neo nazi us off battalion. however, musson get any of the weaponry, despite many previous packages, finding their way to the unit. none of the funds made available by this act may be used to provide arms, training, or other assistance to the czar battalion. we heard from political analyst, alexander mc k. hayes to provide, so not to arm as off, was actually an attempt to rationalize the enormous amount of money and weaponry being sent to ukraine. this is an exercise in trying to retain some plausible deniability. oh, some weapons got into the hands of some nazi aligned unit, so we didn't know that we didn't. we didn't want that to happen, but it's the entire ukranian state that's organized around these principles now. so whatever they put in the bill, it's just a political box taking nothing more. so this is a matter of what hillary clinton used to call a public position and private position in the public position. the american government. busy deployed naziism and all of its evil crimes in the private position. they'll welcome and collaborate with nazis. anytime they need a job doing against russia or against china or against anybody else, who is an official designated enemy of the u. s. government, they will work with any more, any body, no matter how despicable no matter what kind of a blood soaked past they've got, they will work with them if it helps achieve their i the us government's objectives . ah, the f b i has admitted to collaborating with twitter as part of the long standing engagement with the social media company. the disclosure came in response to claims that the u. s. government exerted influence over twitters content moderation policies. the correspondence between the f b i and twitter shows nothing more than examples of our traditional, long standing and ongoing federal government and private sector engagements which involve numerous companies over multiple sectors and industries. it all comes in the publication of internal documents and letters concerning previous management known as the twitter files. following at business tycoon law must take over on the company a media investigation based on those materials claims that the social media company was also working with. the pentagon for at least 5 years to push us policies in the middle east. behind the scenes, however, the social networking giant provided direct approval and internal protection to the us. military's network of social media accounts and online persona is wait listing a batch of accounts at the request of the government. the pentagon has used this network, which includes u. s. government generated news portals and means in an effort to shape opinion in yemen, syria, iraq, great and beyond. reports reveal that us central command reached out to twitter or it helped in amplifying certain accounts that they had set up to spread pro us messaging. now we understand that many of the us military accounts were detected by winter, but yet they were not removed as, as late as 2020, maybe even earlier on many accounts. they were detected as being bank accounts that are not actually representing individuals that being part of the operation, but literally not suspend them until 2022. furthermore, these accounts were specifically emphasizing support for us drones strikes saying that us drones were very accurate to the civilians were not being killed. also emphasizing messages that were hostile to the atlantic republic of iran. now the pentagon and twitter knew this was happening and they were looking for ways that they would not expose these department of defense account as being the boss and yes, actually misinformation accounts that they work. i have some significant concerns that the motivations for classifications are slightly different than the ones you outlined in the mail below. i think it is possible d o d is using retroactive classification to obfuscate their activity in this space and that this may represent an over classification to avoid embarrassment. at one point, the pentagon was ordered to review class dep dying information warfare and reviewed it, met a public policy confirmed back in august. there were concerns about it and twitter, very conscious and conscientiously began kicking off state acting accounts. accounts they argued were working on behalf of states and spreading this information. they began kicking them off of their social media platform in 2018. so it's important to remember, this is what the twitter representative told congress when they testified on this matter. combating attempts to interfere and conversations on twitter remains a top priority for the company. and we continue to invest heavily in our detection disruption and transparency efforts related to state backed information operations . our goal is to remove bad faith actors and to advance public understanding of these critical topics. twitter to find state backed information operations as coordinated platform manipulation efforts that can be attributed with a high degree of confidence to state affiliated actors. and what's even more interesting is that these latest twitter file revelations only go up to 2020. they don't include after that and who's to say that the pentagon and the social media app has stopped engaging in this kind of behavior. and more recent data seems to confirm this kind of behavior has continued. there was recently a report from australia in september that showed us that when it came to accounts, tweeting about the war and ukraine, 80 percent were part of covert propaganda originating from fake bought accounts and 90 percent of those accounts that were fake bought accounts that were tweeting about ukraine, our pro, posting a pro ukraine messages that were hostile to russia. here's what people have observed about the bias of the social media. ath, remember, war is a big business and not limited to just defense contractors any more. a great twitter files follow up would be a close examination of the accounts promoting the war in ukraine. will there be a twitter files exposing ukraine war related censorship, but farm campaigns? after the twitch of files? anyone who is in questioning whether ukraine is actually the good guy here is an idiot. they might be, but the fact that our government is trying to guarantee we think that the vice soil is a red flag. believe nothing they say. so basically, twitter is cooperating with the us central command to carry out foreign policy operations so much for the mit. the uncontrolled discourse and open media seems pretty clear that the u. s. department of defense and us intelligence agencies have been very carefully involved in using this social media app to push their agenda suppressed certain voices while highlighting others love and putting together 1st. we also heard from big tech expert michael rectinwald's, who believes twitter develop the relationship with the u. s. government to pursue its own interest. this is clearly a use of a private company to control the narrative and to do psychological operations. not only in the united states, twitter is also been involved in foreign policy exploits and psychological operations. it is very deceptive practice that the state is using a private enterprise to conduct psychological operations abroad. influencing people in various countries, not just the united states, but in the middle east. regarding u. s. policy, it's not surprising that we see twitter operating this way. they will probably, in some sense, they're totally beholden to the state and they don't care about profit. they just care about doing the bidding of the state because that's who has their backs ultimately. ah, can other big news line to tell you by today, western officials have reportedly admitted there is no evidence to link russia to the north stream gas pipeline explosions. with a handful of officials expressed regret, but so many world leaders pointed the finger at moscow without considering other countries as well as extremist groups. numerous officials privately say that russia may not be to blame after all, for the attack on the nord stream pipelines. just recall back in september, 3 explosions retro to under water pipelines belt occurring natural gas from russia to europe. the blast cause several leaks with toxic gas bubbling up to the surface when traces of explosives were phone. shortly after the incident, numerous western officials were quick to pin the blame on russia, despite it being a russian pipeline. mainstream media condemnation of moscow was immediate and widespread. prussia is most likely behind this. i'm 99 percent certain of and i think it's pretty clear someone did this and the only people in that region who have both the motive and the capability to have done it are russian or russian forces who sabotaged ignored stream to pipeline the russians . and those tiny more pieces that we cut up showing you moscow has always virulently denied the allegations, calling them totally on funded rushes. foreign minister also asserted that nobody in the you seemed interested in actually conducting an objective investigation. while the country's defense ministry stated that it appeared, the british navy was involved in the incident from a c. i. a analysts, laurie johnson, told us that europeans may not like the findings of an unbiased probe to blot every attempt to actually do an independent investigation. because i, i think they're afraid of what they're going to find out. it was laughable from the beginning. the only countries that had a vested interest in seeing that pipeline destroyed were the united states and the united kingdom, even though the united states is profiting from it. europe is still struggling to heat itself and to keep its fact resulted. got countries that don't have adequate energy, there, freezing or having to cut down for us? there are economies or shrinking. i think that's really causing some of the other european states to start having some genuine 2nd thoughts because they recognize united states is not going to come out on top of this. nato was not going to come out on top of this story. johnson wrapping up and use our for us, but not in these pressing the times on our pockets, ortiz new show, the cost of everything. get to grips with all things minus john christy i in moments for you again at the the the in i know when i would shut the wrong. why don't i just don't mean any yes to see out disdain. because the kid an engagement equals the trail. when so many find themselves worlds apart, we choose to look for common ground. a clue. for 4 months protesters called for new leadership as longest, filed into a devastating economic crisis. nation and you're in month of double digit inflation, rolling power blackouts and severe shortages and food and medicine. sco longer form reserves are depleted to a point that it can no longer afford to pay for a central imports as the country defaulted for the 1st time in its history. so how did i get here, and what are the repercussions? i'm christy i and you're watching the cost of everything for.
