Weekend, at least 15 Israeli Soldiers were killed, and their Prime Minister Benyamin Netanyahu admits that israel is paying heavy price. Officially 153 soldiers have been killed, but hamas and eyewitnesses say the casual to rate is much higher as the regime tries to cover up the reality. Well, were going to take a look at the latest south of gaza on this spotlight. Id like to welcome my guest to the program. Daniel, author and researcher out of barcelona, and john phoenix, journalist and International Relations expert out of london. Well, thank you both for being with me. Lets start it off in barcelona. Now, daniel, the uh, resistance has been effective against the Israeli Military machine. I mean, hows . Is possible when there is really no comparison in the weapons equipment and of course support, Technical Support uh that the regime has, and yet we see that even the israeli Prime Minister has to admit that its actually uh much more difficult than they expected, yeah, and disevoltments show again the weakness of the zionist entity, which despite all of the funding that it receives from its attackers in the United States and the european union, including these unlimited support and weapons, it is still unable to defeat the Indigenous People, and i think this is also the core of this contradiction in here, so despite this support and the alleged to military supremacy that the israeli entity has been having, it is unable to defeat hamas or to defeat palestinians because palestinians are fighting for their survival, standing on their land as Indigenous People wh while the israeli army has of course for decades practiced apartide and has trained by torturing children in the west bank and uh sabotaging palestinians everyday uh lives and of so for the past two and a half months or so the Israeli Regime has been bombarding gaza applying apparently its dahya doctrine which includes the very heavy bombing of densely populated civ civilian area. Uh, but again, the way that the Israeli Regime is framing this genocide as an alleged war against hamas, is not a war that it could ever uh win, it is in its structure genocidal, and of its showing the limits of the settlers who came from other parts of the world to uh palestine to kill the Indigenous People, and israel regime is very likely, if the process continues this way uh to see much more uh uh of offer the feed, well john, what do you think netanyahu meant when he said israel is paying heavy price for the gaza war . Well, as you aware from the beginning of the geneside in gaza, the israeli officials, the signs officials been hiding that truth, obviously the casuality, the progress on the ground, they being actually getting good beaten, you know, nobody can. Denied that, in fact the last few articles last week in h, its obviously make it clear that the the soldiers is using divers, they be scared, they in the end they forced to remove the socalled the best best unit in the army, gollani brigade, because they lost nearly quarter of their their covered army member army, so there is a problem because every time they the resistance kill team people they declare four and three injuries and then you have this israeli media camping side hospital, they counting how many bodies, so they come out and said, oh no, today 12th, said six, today 15, said four and and six injured, so they they the public now reading the israeli media, repeating the same issue which is repeated before be said about the about the resistance in libalon that sayid then the their own media, their own officials, they said telling that truth, because every time said we today we we killed 10 soldiers, 15 injured, it turn out to be true, so got no way now to be able to cover his lies, so he had to brid by his advisor that the best way is to now to please the public, because he is under intense pressure from the public, he had set goals to obviously to achieve in gaza, one of them is to release the hostages and second which is to defeat hamas, okay, well he been defeating hospitals and schools, civilians, nursing homes, he defeed no hamas, release no hostages, right, well stay with me with that, buse i want to get into stay with me bause i want to talk a little bit later about these goals that they had and if they reach them or not, but danielle, the. Yahoo had said that it was a difficult day on saturday, but they will continue with full force until the end and that it will be a long war until they reach their goals. Um, your analysis of what he says, what he means . Obviously designist entity can only exist through perpetual warfare, so even if we look beyond the current circumstances of october 7, there obviously has to be perpetual violence for designist entity to survive, and if we also. Look at the internal uh political dynamics within the entity, they have been very fragile with several elections in the past couple of years, the internet netanhu regime being in a crisis with court cases against him, so obviously a prolonged war to some extent might also serve as a restriction uh, thats when we talk about the internal political communication and the entity uh, but of course the israely regime is very well aware that it cannot win this war and it is of course aware that the reteric it is presenting to its western backers about the allegedly about hostages, about hamas is of course only part of the broader story and the Israeli Regime has no strategy in gaza other than indiscriminately bombing uveryone and committing a genocide and uh it is seeing how weak it is, so of course it it will obviously continue to invest into uh prolonging this war and it will of course continue to pose economic. And political and of course social uh negative circumstances within the entity, i mean according to some, well let me just jump in here, then you why would they want to prolong it if you said that the entity knows that it cannot win um and its taking a toll on the economy and in every way, why does it want to prolong it then . Because a cease fire at this point might be seen as a defeat by the israeli uh regime because it has to uh obviously is playing on the fear among its own settler population, constructing palestinians as the common enemy, and also through that by projecting palestinians as the external enemy, trying to get her some sort of solidarity among the setler uh population, and at the same time of course this is an existential crisis for the Israeli Regime, this is a genocidal regime, its ideology is genocidal, and of course it has, according to recent polls, the full backing the vast majority of. The israeli population, so there is no reason uh for the Israeli Regime to actually stop at this uh point uh, because the other question would also be, what would be the next uh the next steps . Okay, well john, the regime has not accomplish any of it stated goals, as i was saying before, which were to wipe out the resistance, destroy the tunnels and free the captives. Your thoughts on why the regime hasnt been able to reach any of these goals and and what does that say in . General about the Israeli Military, well the image which is been giving about the Israel Military that the Strongest Military in the middle east which is as you know 1967 defeated three arab armies, thats what they claim, but now youre talking about the palestinan resistance who has actually been an big military, big concentration come for the last 17 years, most of this fight. They are orphans, they lost their families, they lost their mother, they lost their neighbors, you know, and the palestinians, indigenous, this is the land where palestinian fighting, these people and visitors, they coming from europe, they. You buy the land you and this is an american war, the state, actually a welfare state less on american dollar, you know, its not a normal state to be honest with you, its not a normal entity at all, so the palestinians willing to, its not, its not about using top guns and about tanks and and you see that the the the america are being actually damaged daily you know day and night, its about the belief on your cause and you willing to die for your cause, the Israeli Soldiers which is again i have to repeat using dibas they claiming about bad dreams dreaming with hamas in their bad rooms you there are a coward who are just been forced to go and to b people kill children and woman so the palestinan resistance will not give up their their goal because this is the Palestinian Land and the Palestinian Youth who is actually b to the resistance had to defeed it to the defended to the end well daniel mean what is happening inside . Of gu that with the regime on the ground now the troops and theyre committing heinous crimes, i mean its a classic case of any crime just about that we can think about against humanity and genocide where no place is really safe for the people from depriving them a food and water um to assassinating civilians in front of their families. What is this about . Um, why is it that theyre trying to inflict so much pain on the Palestinian People . Mean, is this part of their goal . Its a very good question, and i think uh, if we look at developments and the increase in intensity and the details of this brutal, cruel torture of palestinians in the past two or two and a half months, it is really, i would say unprecedented, and we also need to take into consideration that this is the most sophisticated best developed settler colonial project in contemporary. History with the most sophisticated uh weapons and palestinians are in this situation victims of not only the Israeli Regime but of of of the west to some extent at backs this uh genocide so um it it appears that israelies feel empowered to some extent because they know there is no accountability there is no one intervening after two and a half months to stop them from these crimes and no matter what crimes they committed the bombing of as has been highlighted of hospital churches, masks, schools, bakeries, the many different ways in which civilians have been killed, and israel has so far gotten away with all of these war crimes, um, and of course none of these crimes have started on october 7th, so there is obviously the factor that there is no accountability, no one who is going to hold the israel regime accountable, that of course uh plays role here, but it also really shows to what extent this may again be very existential uh battle because palestinians have been dehumanized not just in a settler colonial rhetoric, but in the western political elites and media landscape uh for decades to an extent where theyre not necessarily seen as human beings, which is i guess one of the factors that plays role in the lack of international outrage, and the other very Dangerous Development that i would identify is this compassion fatigue which some. May have emerged because if you look back at the ways in which the the first sort of massacers after october 7 were reported on and now there are massacers 24 7 a daily basis and it has become normalized to some extent the question really is what a trestle is and how far the israelis are uh they can even go uh at this point uh in their torture yeah it just seems that there is absolutely no red l uh unfortunately with this regime. Now john, i want to look at the other side of the coin inside of the israeli entity itself, we have reports of up to 7 now um of settlers have left the regime as more and more um of the the israelis are looking at possibilities of leaving and some of them not returning. Your thoughts on that . Well look, i mean you got to keep in mind one think that. This war we see so far from the 7 of october till the 3rd of november costing 50 billion shaken shaken is the their their obviously the their their money and obviously the issue here if you look at the situation within the entity a 20000 people being displaced you know which is previously before the seventh of october left on the border of of. Of gaza on the occupied palestine 1948 and 25000 disciplined from the other side where the palestine border palestine living border, but make a big big obviously pressure on the science entity in term of the economy, now the also you dont forget there is a 18 the absent force work force, the people who do not go to work, the because of the draft, the most of disguise are 35000 being called to to join the army, schools and universities close, carrying homes, carrying homes to children manufacturing, export and import down to so if this and tourism dont forget that the airport close work few hours a day and dont forget one thing that the main defeat will be after the hamas defeat is their economy will be shuttered and they will be forced to stop the the their crimes and they would have be forced to to leave gaza and palestinians will obviously had to regain the the the land which is especially the north area, the israel plan was to keep that norh as a as buffer zone, which is not gonna happen today, i just been watching the news, one of the palestinians in bet han exactly at the border 1967 said the army left, you know so it cost them daily daily 269 Million Dollar a day, so how far the american gna keep printing, printing, brinting for for how long, you know, so it is gna be defeat also on the other front which is the the the paying daily to the businesses which being closed as a compensation they b 15000 shaker sorry 15000 million checkers to all this businesses so they gna be defeated really by themselves you not only in term of military also economy which is very very important right well daniel inside of the regime also more and more people turning against netanyahu for not being successful in the war and not rescuing the captives and lets talk about this side of things, it it never seemed like he even cared about his own people, um, so in the eyes of many of these uh settlers inside of the regime, um, he has failed them. I mean, your thoughts, general, yeah, there have been protests against him, um, also even before october 7, because of several scandals that he has apparent. Been uh involved uh in, but at the same time we need to keep in mind um that there is not much of a difference or be probably no difference at all between a different uh Political Parties in designist uh entity because at the end all of them support what is currently um happening so um it is very much there is no alternative uh when it comes to the question of of of ideology or the approach to uh palestinians so even here it is very much a dynamic within the settler uh colony where we see the anxieties of the settler population uh about what be the most effective way to defeat the Indigenous People in this case um palestinians and so of course i think that the internal dynamics and netanyahus declining popularity um obviously play a role and uh he can many ways has been also in the past been using attacks on palestinians uh for his own uh political gain, but at the end i dont think it makes much of a difference to the outside who is in power as as the prime socalled Prime Minister or president the azionist entity, because again it is a structural struct a realization of their structural ideology and policy, what we see unfolding in gaza. Okay, well unfortunately im out of time and i appreciate both of you being with me out of barcelona, daniel. And researcher out of london, john phoenix, journalist and International Relations expert, and thank you viewers, as always, we appreciate you joining us for another spotlight, well im hope to see you right here, same time tomorrow, thank you. اطفال فلسطين ما بتخلوش عنها زي ما حكت الهنيه انا دمي فلسطيني انا دمي فلسطين went from israel says theyre not going to bomb any hospitals to israels bombed every single hospital in gaza but it was justified because theres maybe tunnels and oh that was an elevator shaft art mistake but its still justified we went from all Palestinian Civilians need to flee south in gaza because israels targeting the north too yeah we did end up targeting the south as well. And in fact we targeted some of those civilian convoys that were fleeing south after we told them to do so, but it was justified. We went from israel will never never kill a journalist, you think were barbarians or something, to israels killed over 80 journalists, in fact theyre doing this in targeted strikes, they admit this, even targeting the families of journalists and targeted strikes, but it was justified, we had to do it, we went from israel never take civilian hostages because obviously thats a war crime to. Israel this week now taking hundreds of civilian hostages, stripping them naked, making them sit out in the freezing cold on the beaches of gaza for hours on end, only to let some of them, some them return home, but oh wait, we looted their homes and we burned some of them down uh, but it was justified, we went from israel would never ever kill our own israely hostages that are being held in gaza right, theres these ridiculous reports that israel accident. Or or maybe even on purpose bombed over 50 of the hostages that were being held uh in gaza to, yeah, today we shot three of our own israeli hostages and it was a, it was horrible, horrible tragedy, but it was justified because this is a war zone, above all else, we went from israel is just targeting hamas in this operation that weve launched to, israel has killed over 18, civilians in gaza, israel has destroyed over 40,000 homes, israel has caused the forsible displacement of probably, north of like 1. 4 million gazans, but of course it was all justified, at what point do the justifications not matter anymore, and these are just horrific war crimes that are not being prosecuted.
