flying home from vacation with their family from the florida keys. they stopped in tallahassee before heading back to mount vernon illinois. while over kentucky just miles from a small airport, the pilot, the little girl's father made a distress call before crashing into the woods around 6:00 p.m. everybody on board was killed except 7-year-old sailor gutzler who escaped with some minor wounds. the second grader crawled out of the plane that crashed upside down. she checked on family to see if they were okay. telling first responders she thought they were dead but she hoped they were sleeping. in her socks, shorts and t-shirt wandering in the dark of night in temperatures of about 38 degrees. not a light to be seen. she felt her way through briars and downed trees until she came bonn larry wilkins' home. >> i opened the door and this little girl was standing there with a bloody nose and bloody legs and bloody arms. >> wow. sailor gutzler has been treated and released from a kentucky hospital. is with her family now. the sheriff and search crew who came upon the plane first in the woods say there's only one explanation for how she survived. >> how amazing is it that this little girl survived? >> it's a miracle. some people, you know, don't believe in miracles. they think it's luck and stuff like that. but to me it's a miracle. you know, we were having trouble finding the plane and there was two other guys that was with me. i told them, you know, we lord we need help finding the lane. within five minutes we were able to find the plane. >> it was obvious god had his hand on it. i don't see how she was able to do what she did. >> she's one remarkable young lady. >> truly. yesterday in nashville, illinois neighbors were with the family at the memorial service saying prayers for sailor her mom, her dad, her cousin and sister aboard. divers are hoping for better visibility and calmer waters this morning so it can help them locate the fuselage of flight 8501. they're searching for the plane's black boxes. so far no pings have been picked up. the search is focussed on the tail of the plane where the flight data recorders are located. at least five ships with high-tech equipment were assisting aircraft in the hunt for wreckage. five large objects have been detected in the search area. the largest being 59 feet long. officials believe that bodies of many victims may be there as well. safety procedures are coming under scrutiny amid questions about how accurate the crew's weather information was. indonesia's meet lo said it was likely storms that. the airline did not have permission on fly on sundays. the day flight 8501 crashed. aviation officials in singapore where the flight was headed say there were no restrictions. north korea is offering a harsh response to new sanctions from the obama administration following the massive sony data breach. pyeongchang said there's little evidence to support the sanctions and they're an act of repug si and hostility. the country criticized the interview calling the controversial film quote, disgusting movie openly agitating terrorism. president obama approved the sanctions on friday citing the sony cyber attack which the u.s. is blaming on north korean. ten individuals and three state organization including north korean's intelligence agency were targeted. it's focussed on north korean's military exports and banned them from doing business with u.s. firms and banks. in a few hours, new york city mayor bill de blasio and commissioner bill bratton will hold a news conference one day after police officers made a silent but strong statement at the slain officer's funeral. for the second time in eight days, hundreds of nypd officers turned their back on the mayor during his eulogy for officer wenjian liu. the move ignored commissioner baton who called the move at rafael ramos' funeral inappropriate. >> in the days after rafael ramos and wenjian liu were assassinated, slain because they were blue i visited their families and learn what good men they are. i wondered why do we lose the good ones?
