The real point is about temperament and fitness and qualification. Anybody who complains about the microphone has not had a good night. I thought tonight was a great night. Any regrets . No. Im very glad i didnt mention, because chelsea was in the room, indiscretions by bill. I hope to gain. I think we did well. And the undecided swing voters in the battleground state of ohio give their take on the first president ial debate. You have your trump suppor r supporters still supporting trump. You have clinton fans and supporters still supporting hillary. Clinton was clinton. Trump was trump. We have seen the personalities. Outside of ohio i think they are wrestling with the same things we are. Good day. Im Kristen Welker in new york. Andrea is with the Clinton Campaign and may check in from the road. Both candidates grading a wild night in new york. What grade do you give Hillary Clinton on her debate performance last night . I would say c plus. What grade would you give yourself . I dont like to grade myself. I know i did better than hillary and every poll shows i did. What about the way he kept interrupting and the way he answered the question about gender . Well, i think his demeanor, his temperament, his behavior on stage could be seen by everybody. People can draw their own conclusions. He can run his campaign and present himself however he chooses. The real point is about temperament and fitness and qualification. Joining me now msnbc Political Correspondent kasie hunt, Nbcs Kelly Odonnell at the site of last nights debate and New York Times political reporter jeremy peters. Thanks for being with us. Kasie and kelly, i want to go to you first. The Clinton Campaign feeling like they had a lot of strong moments last night. There was one point when she was on her heels in the beginning talking about trade and the economy. Whats the spin today . Well, kristen, i talked to a lot of the top aides, as i know you did as well in the spin room who were behind the scenes backstage at the debate. They were watching and cheering her on. Watching the preparation they had done unfold on stage. Clinton really executed. If anything they are pushing the idea that donald trump may not show up to the next couple of debates. He has already committed to doing that. I think the challenge for them Going Forward and you saw Hillary Clinton herself basking in what happened last night today when she talked to reporters. Andrea mitchell among them, on her campaign plane. They had to continue pressing forward. We have seen in this Campaign Times when they have started to feel like they are in a great solid position that they try to protect that position and it sometimes has led to mistakes or has led to a perception that shes not doing everything she can to win this election. The challenge is we heard her talking to the labor group saying why am i not up by 50 . It was a little bit of a raw moment for her. The challenge will be continuing to proceed as she has in the last couple of weeks. You saw it today when she answered questions from reporters continuing the open door strategy. Thats right. Kelly, donald trump back on the trail again today as well. There was a broad sense that at various moments secretary clinton was successful at getting under his skin. What is the campaign telling you about that . Well, allies of donald trump are assessing this differently. There is not quite the confident posture we see on the clinton side. They are pointing out things like they believe on some of the issues that really matter with voters in battleground states where the economy is hard hit they think he did well on trade and on jobs. They would acknowledge there is room for improvement and some allies say he missed opportunities to perhaps pursue some of the issues that have animated his supporters. Issues like the benghazi situation. Talking about the health care law, obamacare. Perhaps pursuing the email issue more. Not only on whats been litigated but some of the newer facts that have come to light about immunity for some of those in the Hillary Clinton circle. There is a sense that they are trying to grade on trump showing strength in areas where he already had strength. Acknowledging room perhaps for growth in future debates and also some begrudging acknowledgment that there were issues that werent really litigated and he bears a responsibility for that and not going after some of those issues that might have put Hillary Clinton on her heels. He missed those moments. In terms of demeanor and so forth, there is a sense he brought the personality and a bit of the unpredictable sense we have come to know him for. By going into the spin room, two strategies there. Hillary clinton choosing to be on her plane the day after we heard her remarks. Trump going into the spin room to try to game it out instantly and because he was doing it during the primary season. He does that move of acknowledging what he didnt say and yet saying it through that acknowledgment, trying to look like the good guy but reminding people of the issue of bill and Hillary Clinton. The not so subliminal shot at them for that. Great point. Very trumpspecific tactic there. Stick around. Jeremy, i want to turn to you on that point kelly raised. Donald trump afterwards raising questions saying, i held back. I didnt bring up what i wanted to bring up which were bill clintons scandals. How does that sit with women voter . Classic trump. He wants to have it both ways. Well, i hear some people say ted cruzs father was involved in the kennedy assassination. He tries to say it without saying it but says it. I dont think it gets him far with the women voters. Thats the group you need to persuade here. By this morning coming out and stepping all over whatever good headlines he might have had from the debate he picks a fight with his former Miss Universe contestant he called overweight, belittled for being heavier than he thought she should be. Thats not sitting well with women, we imagine. Lets play that exchange. He called this woman miss pig piggy. Then he walled her miss housekeeping because she was latina. Donald, she has a name. Her name is alicia machada. She was a winner and gained a massive amount of weight. It was a problem. We had a real problem. Not only that, her attitude. We had a real problem with her. Hillary went back into the years and found this girl. This was many years ago. Found a girl and talked about her like she was Mother Teresa. It wasnt that way. Thats okay. Before the debate the Clinton Campaign was hitting donald trump for his comments about Miss Universe in which she gives a personal testimony and says her feelings were hurt when he accused her of gaining weight. She had other problems that came after that. Talk about the gamesmanship, the strategy we saw from team clinton to get under his skin. First of all, it is this extraordinary lack of discipline that trump has. An asset Hillary Clinton excels at. She was on message. She has tremendous discipline as a candidate. He lacks those things. They have Campaign Apparatus in place to produce a video knowing it was likely going to be the thing we were talking about. What helped them was an unforced error by donald trump to go out and in a really undisciplined way talk about how shes heavy. It was unnecessary and one of those things where donald trump who creates his own news out of events. We have never seen a candidate who can shift the news cycle on a dime. In this case like many of the cases over the course of the campaign it looks like it is not working to his advantage. Great point. Final to you, kelly. Donald trump had a lot of momentum into the debate. There is a sense he could have done things differently last night. Whats the strategy in the coming days to get back on offense . I think publically you will hear the Campaign Still talk about it. When they review missed opportunities and mistakes in terms of how he handled the debate there is room for preparation. To argue he could have done a better job there is no one more responsible for bringing up issues like benghazi, the Hillary Clinton law, the email situation than the candidate him or herself. We saw Hillary Clinton do it. She had the Research Ready to go. He didnt present in some of those areas. So there are other opportunities in the debate cycle as we go forward. Well see a very different debate with mike pence and tim kaine. They have a very different style. They will be litigating on behalf of running mates in just a matter of days. That could change the dynamics as well. Preparation will be something they talk about. Great point. A lot of eyes on that debate as well. Thanks so much. For more on this lets bring in Clintons Campaign press secretary brian fallon. Thank you very much for being here. Appreciate it. Hi, chris. I want to start with moments when Hillary Clinton was on defense. On trade donald trump went after her aggressively. Nafta is one of the worst and now you want to approve the Trans Pacific relationship. You know if you did win you would have proved it. That will be almost as bad as nafta. Nothing will top nafta. Well, that is just not accurate. I was against it once it was finally negotiated. The terms were laid out. I wrote about it you called it the Gold Standard. You called it the Gold Standard of trade deals. You said it is the finest deal you have ever seen. No. You heard what i said and all of the sudden you were against it. Donald, i know you live in your own reality. Oh, yeah . But thats not the fact. Does she need to get a sharper response to that so she can break what is a very complicated topic down for voters . Fair question. Shes getting the better of that can exchange. She also pressed donald trump on his failure to release tax returns and accused him of trying to minimize what he owed. He said it was smart to avoid paying taxes. He was rooting for the housing crisis seeking to make a buck on other peoples. Thats supposed to be his strength as a businessman. She did say it was the Gold Standard. Do you think she was clear enough on this issue. I think so. This is not a new issue. I think she expanded on the answer in many appearances she did on the trail. Talked about revitalizing manufacturing, raising wages through Profit Sharing and increasing the minimum wage. Shes beating donald trump in almost every poll. When you look at last night and we talk about the preparation of the two candidates, some of the headlines. Donald trump fell for Hillary Clintons trump. Donald trump took the bait. Talk a little bit about the strategy. Was that the goal to try to knock him off of we thought what was a more restrained donald trump . I think many people were tuning in for the first time and they saw a Hillary Clinton that was knowledgeable, steady, prepared. She was everything donald trump is not. We have been going around for a while now and the polls show is voters do not believe he has the temperament to be president. That was exhibit a on the debate stage. He was clearly rattled early on. Interrupted her 28 times. In the aftermath he blames the microphone, the moderator. I think the reaction has been universal that Hillary Clinton won this. Even brightbart, the right wing propaganda arm of the Trump Campaign said Hillary Clinton was the winner last night. We have spent so much time talking about the core voting group. 16 of Younger Voters say they will probably support gary johnson. I know you want to win them over. Did she reach out to them enough last night or does she need to talk more about things like College Affordability. Climate change which she did talk about. Do you think she needs to get sharper . Millennials are one of the most inclusive and tolerant generations. Their values are out of line with the donald trump we saw in t the. Tomorrow she will be in New Hampshire appearing with senator sanders talking about the College Affordability plan they worked on in the aftermath of the heated primary. Talking about it even more to reach out to the millennial audience. Are you nervous when you look at Gary Johnsons 16 . We think a lot of voters identifying themselves as supporters of Third Party Candidates are still persuadable. I think last nights debate helped drive up the stakes. A lot of those people will probably realize donald trump is an option we cant afford as president. Hillary clinton is the candidate we need in order to stop a donald trump president. Rudy giuliani said maybe donald trump should not appear in the next two debates. Secretary clinton said she will be there. Donald trump said he will be there. Do you get a sense he could start to listen to some advisers . I wouldnt be surprised if they will consider it, considering the disaster of the performance he turned in yesterday. Even more than the debate performance last night you were talking about it in the earlier seg metropolitan. Im reminded of what happened after our convention. He made the effect even more pronounced by attacking a gold star family. Mr. Condit spoke at the convention. Im reminded that donald trump is only driving home the key take away of how unfit he is by doubling down on the criticism of Miss Universe and insulting her, suggesting shes not Mother Teresa because she gained weight. That will rub voters the wrong way and could make the effects of the debate even more pronounced. Thanks for being in studio. Appreciate it. Coming up, this last hour Vice President biden stumped for Hillary Clinton and gave his review of the first debate. Listen. Saw that debate last night, didnt you . [ cheers ] i tell you what if the choice isnt clear, i dont know. Oh, my lord. You inherit lots of traits from your family. My ancestor, lady beatrice, introduced the elizabethan ruff. Greatgrandfather horatio went west during the gold rush. And aunt susan was a a world champion. I inherited their cando spirit. And their double chin. Now, im going to do something about it. Com i have a feeling by the end of the evening i will be blamed for everything thats ever happened. Why not . Yeah. Why not . Just join the debate by saying more crazy things. Well, just one of the contentious exchanges between Hillary Clinton and donald trump last night. It was a chance for voters to get a closer look at both candidates during the debate. Did we learn anything new . Joining me is katie packer, former Deputy Campaign manager for the Mitt Romney Campaign in 2012 and an msnbc contributor. Thank you very much for being here. Thanks for having me. Give me a broad assessment. Do you think either of the candidates moved the needle last night . We have heard them engage with each other quite a bit. Did they speak enough to the voters . Well, i think they accomplished different things. I think donald trump clearly doubled down on the voters that are already in his camp. I think this was a real opportunity for Hillary Clinton to get in front of an audience that hasnt maybe seen her perform prior to this. Because people havent been paying much attention if they are undecided voters and if they are not particularly engaged in the process. There are a lot of voters out there that havent made up their minds. Thats why the race continues to be close. Both camps have solidified their bases. The race really will come down to undecided voters. I think Hillary Clinton demonstrated a level of preparedness last night that trump didnt. You raise an interesting point in terms of his need and desire to expand his base of support. One of the issues that was striking was Climate Change. I want to play an exchange and get your reaction on the other side. Donald thinks Climate Change is a hoax perpetrated by the chinese. I think it is real i did not say that. I do not say that. In 2012 he tweeted this. The concept of Global Warming was created by and for the chinese in order to make u. S. Manufacturing noncompetitive. It was a retweeted tweet during last nights debateful then his Vice President ial nominee went on the today show and said, look, he was saying it in a joking manner, not being serious about it. Bottom line, an issue like Climate Change, could that hurt his chances of trying to win over some key millennial voters . They are key to this election. Not only that. Its something focused on and particularly women who are concerned about where the environment is headed. The real problem for trump comes with the fact that he doesnt have experience with being a candidate whose record is scrutinized. Hillary clinton has been scrutinized over and over. Donald trump used to say things like this and nobody paid much attention. Hes not used to being factchecked. Thats whats happening to him now. Hes withering a little bit under that scrutiny. Former New Hampshire governor john sinunu just endorsed donald trump. Significant because in march he said he would support anyone but trump. Does this suggest that while trump may not be expand iing bu maybe hes getting more voters within the republican party. Hillary clinton is so despised by the Republican Base and republican elected types that they cant fathom ever doing anything. A lot of republicans. I do think you will continue to see more Establishment Republicans that will will bow under pressure. I dont think hes winning their hearts. Great conversation. Thank you so much. Really appreciate your being here. Thank you. The tax man. Facing pressure to release tax returns. New reporting about where Donald Trumps money is going. So youve got to ask yourself, why wont he release his tax returns . First, maybe hes not as rich as he says he is. Second, maybe hes not as charitable as he claims to be. Third, we dont know all of his business dealings, but we have been told through investigative reporting that he owes about 650 million to wall street and foreign banks. Or maybe he doesnt want the American People, all of you watching tonight, to know that hes paid nothing in federal taxes because the only years that anybodys ever seen were a couple of years when he had to turn them over to state authorities when he was trying to get a casino license and they showed he didnt pay any federal income tax. That makes me smart. Hillary clinton hammering donald trump on why he hasnt released his tax returns and trump not disputing clintons claim that he didnt pay federal income taxes some years. The taxes and his foundation are issues under intense scrutiny on the campaign trail. Joining me now, david fehrenhold who is doing extensive reporting on the Trump Foundation. Your latest, trump directed 2. 3 million owed to him to his Tax Exempt Foundation instead. I want to get to new reporting in a minute. First the discussion we heard between secretary clinton and donald trump. The fact he wont release his tax returns. He said it is because hes under audit. The irs said thats really not an excuse not to release your taxes. The broader question is was there any new light shed . What did we learn . The charge he paid no income tax, his response wasnt, oh, yeah, i pay my fair share. It was, it makes me smart not to pay income tax. It seemed incendiary when clinton threw it out that he had paid no income tax. The other thing that was striking he said, well, maybe i wont listen to my attorneys and release tax returns if you release 33,000 deleted emails and so lester holt pointed out, is it conditional . Does that undercut his argument that there is a real reason to withhold the information . He and his surrogates have different arguments. Sometimes they say it is the audit. Sometimes they say because the tax returns are so complicated. Donald trump, jr. , said they are so complicated no unwith would understand them. Trump said theyre so boring. Theyre useless. They are selfcontradictory arguments. I think it boils down to he just doesnt want to. He thinks there is no political price to be paid. Lets talk about your latest article. You essentially found donald trump diverted money that was owed to him to his foundation. The implication being he wouldnt have to pay taxes on the money. We have an example which is a 400,000 payment from Comedy Central for a 2011 appearance owed to trump. Went to his foundation. What else do you find and how damning is this . Well, the question here, we always ask why do other people give to the Trump Foundation . Donald trump himself hasnt given a donation since 2008. Why do other people prop up this wealthy mans charity . With 2. 3 million, these with people who owe money to donald trump or a business and he says, no, pay the foundation instechld you can but you have to pay income tax. If trump directed the money there he has to pay income tax. Did he . At least 1. 9 million of the money the Trump Campaign wont answer whether he paid income tax. Their First Response was to deny the donations had ever taken place. They challenged me to find examples that proved they were wrong and i did. Striking. We know one of trumps top aides did tell you this. To my knowledge mr. Trump has followed all applicable rules and regulations. Hallie jackson asked congressman peter king about this. A trump supporter last night. Take a listen to this exchange. I will get your reaction on the other side. Your home state attorney general is investigating the Trump Foundation. There is new reporting tonight about the Trump Foundation. Donald trump directing millions of dollars allegedly to the foundation instead of to him to potentially avoid income taxes. Any comment . Any thoughts on this . More drip, drip, drip . I will let donald trump handle that. A report on the night of the debate, i dont trust Eric Schneiderman on this. They are trying to dismiss it as all political. What do you make of it . The attorney general of new york is investigating. This reporting yesterday had nothing to do with him. It didnt come from him. It is not related to anything he dug up. We dug it up on our own. The interesting thing is the way this could be a bigger legal problem for donald trump is if he diverted money that would have gone to himself to the charity and that he controlled the charity and used the charity to buy things for himself portraits, a football helmet, to spend money to settle business legal troubles. This could be a way he avoided paying taxes on it as income and then still using it as income. That could put him in serious legal trouble. Looked at tax records. Spent 211 on legal fees. Works out to 844 a year. Tell us what the take away is on that. Just recently trumps own explanation of the foundation and its problems has been somebody asked him the other day. Did you follow all applicable laws. He said, i hope so. My lawyers do it. Hes putting it on his lawyers. If it is mismanaged my lawyers did it. I went to see if hes paying lawyers. He spent 211 total on legal services. If he got advice it was about 20 minutes. Must have been really good advice that held him for 25 years. This is a story well keep digging into. Fantastic reporting. Really appreciate it. Thank you. Coming up, Hillary Clinton heads to the battleground state of North Carolina. Andrea mitchell is traveling with the democratic nominee. She just landed in North Carolina for her first stop in raleigh. Andrea mitchell is traveling with the Clinton Campaign. Great to see you. You had a Great Exchange with her today. I know youre right there talking to her campaign officials. In addition to what she told you, what is the mood within the campaign now . Reporter you can imagine they feel very confident, kristen. There was applause by her staff when she boarded. We are in the back of the plane so we heard it from the front. John pedesta is with her today. Thats not a usual occurrence. He came back and said that in particular on the way that donald trump talked to her, talked over her, was patronizing, they think. Talked to her about women, you know the story you have been reporting about alicia machado. They put the video out. They were prepared for that. And that reminds women about the way they have been bullied. Then she came back and she was obviously feeling her oats. The preparation had worked. The kind of rehearsing with her staff member. You have been reporting things they practiced. We got background on what they think was most important. In particular she said she wants to talk policy and when asked whether well, about the whole implied threat that donald trump is going to go nasty and talk about their personal lives, bill clintons personal life in particular she said he can run the campaign he wants to. Shell run the campaign she plans to run and also when asked whether there was a possibility he would not show up for the next debate, although he has said he would. But theres been other suggestions, as you know by Rudy Giuliani and others we are on a moving bus. Its rocky right now. You know the drill. She said shes going to be there in st. Louis whether or not he shows up. So a very confident Hillary Clinton on Voter Registration day. You have heard what joe biden has been saying at drexle university, going after donald trump. Going after him in particular. What he said about taxes and the suggestion that he seemed to be concurring with that he perhaps had not paid any federal taxes. They think that was a clean hit as well as the gender issues. And what he said about barack obama during that birther comment. One of the other comments where he said your president. That was something pedesta also pointed out. Kristen . I know the drill on the bus. It is not easy and you are making it look easy. I will ask you one more question. The campaign obviously in addition to all of the hits you mentioned from last night, they really want to be expanding their support among the younger millennial voters. What are they saying about the strategy to try to win more of them over and they likely feel as though they did some of that last night. But obviously the next days will be critical. Yeah. They are trying to do that. That was part of the strategy last night. Shes going to a Community College here. Joe biden was at the drexel campus which was a stronghold for Bernie Sanders. Tomorrow shell be with Bernie Sanders in durham, New Hampshire, at the university. They are going to keep hitting campuses. Chelsea clinton is going out. Bill clinton in toledo. Those will be the appeals they continue to make to try to get more of the millennials who havent been coming in droves. They are concerned about gary johnson and upside he may have especially in battleground states. Andrea mitchell, my partner on the trail. Thanks for helping out today. It is my honor. The indefatigable Andrea Mitchell. Thank you for getting a shot up just moments after landing. Pretty impressive. Andrea, great to talk with you. Thank you. Taking on terror. [ laughter ] the next segment well, at least i have a plan to fight isis. Achieving prosperity. Youre telling the enemy everything you want to do. No we are not. You tell the enemy everything. No wonder you have been fighting isis your entire adult life. Donald trump slamming Hillary Clintons plan to fight isis and claiming clinton has been fighting clinton her entire life . Joining me now is wendy sherman, former undersecretary of state for Political Affairs and Hillary Clinton supporter. Thanks for joining us. Great to be with you. Lets start with isis. Obviously secretary clinton hasnt been fighting isis her entire adult life. I want your take on this notion that shes giving information about her plan. Donald trump said shes giving too much information. Whats your take on that line of attack . Do you think it is something voters will pick up on and that will appeal to them . Sometimes with donald trump it is hard to know where to start. It is absolutely an absurd statement. Her plan on the website and what she talked about publically are really broad actions that she will take. Surging intelligence to make sure the American People are safe. Looking at who we should arm. How we should arm them. Strengthening the coalition that we have so that all of the effort isnt ours but people in the region who have a stake in whats happening. These are broad themes, broad actions. The details of military planning. Of course, something you dont discuss. We dont even know the broad outlines of what donald trump would do. I quite agree with secretary clinton. He said he has a secret plan. And there is no plan. I also want to say, our word matters in the world. Our credibility matters in the world. Donald trump, once again last night said all of this began with the iraq war which he never supported. That is, quite frankly, and i rarely use this word an out and out lie. He did support the iraq war. He supported the surge. Then he said we should get out quickly when secretary clinton said, well, we ought to think about that because we need to make sure we dont create a vacuum in which terrorists can come. Credibility matters. Our word matters and working with people in the region matters which is why when you say you dont want a muslim here in the United States of america and most of the people in that region are muslim it matters. To your point, another major issue that came up last night was this issue of cyber attacks. I want to play what donald trump had to say nd i will get your reaction on the other side. I dont think anybody knows it was russia that broke into the dnc. Shes saying russia, russia. Maybe it was. It could be russia, but it could also be china. Could also be lots of other people. It also could be somebody sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds, okay. Could be someone sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds. What do you make of those comments in relation to whats a pressing problem right now in National Security . Besides Donald Trumps obsession with weight, whether that is any individual anywhere in the world, Rosie Odonnell or poor Miss Universe who is a beautiful, beautiful woman and really a sterling example of trying to create a better life. This is a very dangerous statement. U. S. Intelligence professionals have said that it is their assessment with high confidence that russia is behind these recent cyberattacks. I dont know why donald trump continues to believe he has to defend vladimir putin, that he has to defend russian interests. I think the president of the United States should be about defending americas interests. All right. Ambassador wendy sherman, well leave it there. I have many questions but we are out of time. Thanks for being with us. Thank you. Coming up, the birther controversy makes its way into the first showdown next here on Andrea Mitchell reports. Stay with us. As soon as he travels to 112 countries and negotiates a peace deal, a ceasefire, a release of dissidents, an opening of new opportunities in nations around the world or even spends 11 hours testifying in front of a congressional committee, he can talk to me about stamina. Joining me now for the daily fix, Washington Post deputy Editorial Page Editor ruth marcus and yamish alcindor. I have to start with you and the stamina exchange. A lot of people were surprised he went in that direction, that he effectively doubled down on a very continroversial line of attack. What do you think the impact will be . He didnt have a lot of choices. He was asked about president ial look. So instead of talking about the president ial look which i think is inherently a dangerous and genderladen path for him to go down, he went down the alternative path of stamina which isnt much better. Hillary clinton gave him a good smackdown on her display of stamina. Also stamina, i think has undeniable implications. It is a twopronged attack on both her age and gender. I just dont think it is born out by the facts and it has the capacity to offend a lot of voters that i think he hoped to get last night. Another moment that could potentially drive away voters who were maybe on the fence when he talked about birtherism. I will play that exchange. You continue to tell the story and question the president s legitimacy in 2012 and 13, 14, and recently in january. Nobody was pressing it and i figured you would ask the question about it, and i was the one that got him to produce the birth certificate, and i think i did a good job. We are talking about racial healing. What do you say i say nothing. People of color. He should have produced it a long time before. I say nothing. How did he handle that and the fact that when he was asked what he would have to say about americans, particularly people of color he said, i say nothing. If you are someone who was already not voting for donald trump and thats the vast american of africanamericans i have talked to. His answer did nothing for you. It just further confirmed that this is a candidate you dont think will be doing anything for africanamerican voters. I should say in the exchange one thing we see is not just his answer. I have been talking about the fact that he interrupted lester holt, an africanamerican man moderating the debate while he asks a question about race. You are stopping the question before it could be fully asked was something that was not lost on the people i have talked to. I should say i also watched the debate with a lot of young republicans. Some are undecided. They said overall they thought he did a good job. They think birtherism is something that was put on in the past and he can put it behind him. Fascinating stuff. Great conversation. Thank you so much. Thanks, kristen. There is more ahead on Andrea Mitchell reports. Well be right back. Smokings a monkey on my back.
