Politics nation. Tonights leads, playground rules. Its like a game of keep away, only the toy is america and President Trump is the bully taunting the rest of us by not handing it back. But while we continue to go through this game, he continues to view our National Direction as kid stuff. We reached another grim milestone today. Nbc news confirming there are more than 11 million cases of covid19 here in the United States. Nearly a quarter of a million americans lost. But the Trump Administration is still signalling no collaboration with the biden Transition Team. The president this morning finally tweeting an explicit concession before walking it back an hour later. The only consistent thing that biden beat donald trump only because, quote, the election was rigged. And while trump weighs his version of the bloody shirt, the streets of our Nations Capital were bloody indeed last night. At least one person was stabbed amid clashes between white supremacistist groups and counter protesters after a daylong grievance rally for President Trump turned into, what else, a violent tragedy. As for his collaborators in congress, they continue to shut their eyes to the truth. Some laying out weak deadlines the president has already flouted. But even they cant unsee that the pandemic is surging. The economy is stalling. And the Holiday Season starts in their districts in just days. And donald trump just does not care. Because if he did, he would resign and leave the business of the nation to the newlyempowered adults. But instead, they have to go around him. President elect joe biden continuing to select core pieces of his administration and waiting, and democrats hoping to repeat bidens knockout win in georgia with victories in two senatetipping runoffs there just in time for the biden harris inauguration. But the biden win in georgia was owed largely to the democratic grassroots. And between election fatigue, expensive losses in the south and turnedout depressed by covid and the holidays, can the Democrat Party recapture lightning in a bottle of the peach lemonade . Well, joining me to talk about that and other things is now with us is senator doug jones, democrat of alabama. Senator, thank you for being with me. Its great to be with you, reverend. I really appreciate it. Now, let me ask you. We look at georgia and we look at the results all over the south. You have won and lost in the south and youve been one of the figures that have really showed that you can unite and win in the new south as a democrat, and you lost in the last one. But before i get to that, let me ask you, what is your advice to georgia . And what is your counsel to the nation about the potential of seeing many places in the south that seemed, if not impossible, improbable, beginning to turn and deal in a different kind of political demographic . Well, i appreciate the question. Look, i think that theres opportunities throughout the south. Ive said all along that i believe that there are amazing opportunities in the south despite the losses. I mean, weve got to play this for the long ball, and thats whats happened in georgia. If you look back, a lot of people think that this all started coming up, bubbling up in 2018 with stacys race. Stacey abrams will tell you, this has been a decadelong project in georgia. Working at the grassroots level, talking to voters about the issues that affect them every day. The theyre Kitchen Table issues. This is not about right or left. This is about so many things other than Kitchen Table issues. Jobs, the economy, covid the way things are now. I think there are incredible opportunities with the Kitchen Table issues. But make no mistake, we are such a divided country right now and so many of those divisions started in the south. Ive said this for many years. That healing can start in the south and i think thats what youre seeing in georgia and other places right now where the base of voters are beginning to look at things in a whole different way. Now, as we look at your race that you just ran, defeated by a man who said he was inspired to run by Rush Limbaugh and hes 1,000 with donald trump, yet you kept fighting. As you know, odds in new york are born and raised. My family and my mothers side are from alabama and i have a lot of family there. It seems im hearing in alabama, given your background in prosecuting people that have done racist murderous acts, that there are some people saying that we want to see racial healing in this country, and we may have to take some losses, but were determined to bring the question of systemic racism front and center and deal with it. There is no question about that. There is absolutely no question. What youve seen, and its not just in politics. What you saw this year is you saw the university of Alabama Football Team and Auburn University football teams joining together to bring this to everyones attention. Those are gamechanging kind of events in places in the south and in alabama. And in my race it was a difficult loss. And by the way, i want to thank you and all of your viewers out there who helped me over the 2017 race and this one. The support has been amazing. But the fact is we grew the Democratic Party base, we grew that base of voters larger than its ever been before and its very solid. It its strong because we believe in progress, racial reconciliation, racial healing. We want to make sure everyone has an equal opportunity. And thats what youre seeing changing. I think its changing a little faster in georgia than it is obviously in alabama and other places. But its changing. Theres a lot to work on. Thats when i go back to the healing that started in the south i mean, divisions that started in the south, the healing can start now, too, and thats where people are, so, so many people in the state in this kung guid country. You cant have injured in the room, thats why i did prosecuting who did racial murder in the past when there was not the same climate in alabama and in the south. You did that. One of the things that happened in alabama is the historic selma to montgomery march led by dr. Martin luther king, starting with the beating on the Edmund Pettus bridge with john lewis and boykin. One of the things we are pushing, we had a huge march in august, a lot of people, not like what we saw last night, calling for the john lewis voting bill to pass the senate. Its passed the house. The george floyd policing injustice act. Dont we need lawes in order to make this healing become more than just something that goes with the mood of the time, but we need to really have bedrock law, at least to protect peoples right to vote in the name of john lewis, what happened right there in your state in alabama with that march to montgomery . Dont we need to deal with policing to give equal protection under the law . Dont we need to be specific if were serious about healing . Well, you just rattled off a number of things and youre right, we need them all. We need voting protections, we need easy access to the ballot box. In alabama we had 300,000 people that voted early not just because of the pandemic, but because they had an opportunity to vote at their leisure and not just when the state talked to them about it. We need that, the Voting Rights act to be extended. I dont think there is any question. We need some national standards. I think the one thing we have seen across the board right now is we need to be able to do some things in federal elections and others to make sure people understand and they know that these elections are secure, that theyre not going to be conducted with any fraudulent or stealing of ballots, thats going to overturn an election. This one was not. The Trump Administration officials have said that. But a Voting Rights act could help do that. It could help give so many more people the ability to make sure they have an easy access to the voting process, and thats so, so important to go forward. On Law Enforcement reform, absolutely it would be a huge step forward to get some of those things in place like senator harriss bill, senator booker. We also have to sit down at the table with everyone. We need folks to understand when were talking about Law Enforcement reform, were not talking about defunding the police. Were talking about having police there to protect the communities, but do it and root out systemic racism we all know exists in that, but do it in a way that encourages training, make sure these Police Departments are transparent, and that they can work within the community. Thats the key. You know, Law Enforcement is there for the community. We need to make sure that we get to that and stay that way and not get into a situation where weve seen over the last few months. Theres so much opportunities in front of us right now and we just got to get folks together to seize those opportunities. All right. Im going to have to leave it there. Thank you for being with us again, senator doug jones of alabama. Joining me now is valerie jarrett. She was the cochair of the 2008 Obama Biden Transition Team and Senior Adviser to both throughout each of obamas president ial terms. Enthuse for being with us tonight, miss jarrett. Thank you, reverend sharp. Its always good to see you. The Trump Administration is refusing to cooperate with the president elect on the transition process. How will this impact the first month of the biden administration, and what can bidens team do to mitigate the damage . You cochaired, as i said, the Transition Team in 08. How important and significant is the information that is needed for a smooth transition, particularly, miss jarrett, when we have so Many Americans that are coming up positive with covid19 and some that have died . Well, youre right, reverend sharpton. We are in the middle of a crisis. Not only do we have a pandemic, but we have an economy that is in a free fall. Millions of people losing their jobs, and we are seeing a huge uptick in the number of people contracting the virus. Its going to be a very tough Holiday Season with a lot of americans sacrificing and essential to the smooth and efficient transition of power with cooperation from the prior administration. Now, i always give president bush and his team huge shoutout for their willingness, even though he disagreed on many matters of policy, to ensure that everybody in the Bush Administration worked with the Incoming Administration when president obama and vicepresident biden were elected and it made our job so much easier. Now, the goods news is this. President elect biden served as vicepresident for eight years. Hes surrounded by a terrific team. He selected his chief of staff ron klain who is amazing. He has appointed already the Coronavirus Task force. Hes announced the executive orders that he intends to sign on day one, which is rejoin the paris accord, ending the muslim ban, making sure the dreamers have some permanent, rejoin the World Health Organization and his team is busy vetting people both for the white house and the cabinet. What is not happening is that the agencies are not opening up their books and sharing Important Information thats not available to the public. Every Single Agency should be doing that right now. And, reverend, every day that goes by that thats not happening makes it far more difficult for president elect biden and Vice President elect harris to hit the ground running. Now, im comfortable that they will eventually get there, but the question, why not . When the department of Homeland Security under President Trump, Cyber Security and infrastructure have said theres no evidence of voter fraud . 16 assistant u. S. Attorneys under attorney general barr who were instructed to go out and look for fraud have asked the attorney general to withdraw that request because they have been unable to find any evidence of voter fraud. You have to ask yourself, reverend, what are we waiting for . And what is the cost of basically indulging this exercise in futility . I have to say why are the republicans on the hill not raising their voices in objection when they should care about america being as safe as possible . And we have not heard republicans raise their voice. Legali let me raise this to you. Joe bidens campaign can help heal a fractured nation. But the president refuses to concede. They wont acknowledge the win and Republican Voters dont want unity. So what do we do now . Well, i think as president elect biden said last week very calmly, they will. And hes confident based on the relationships hes had on both sides of the aisle and both the house and the senate for decades now, that they will come around. But the question is why is it taking them so long . I think the American People are looking for leadership. They would start if President Trump were to concede just as other president s have done. Nobody likes to lose an election, its painful. But if you are patriotic, if you love this country, then you accept the results and you let the nation heal. You dont perpetuate the falsehood out there that there is some fraudulent election because youre sending a message to your supporters thats deeply troubling. So i know that, i know as the president elect said, he campaigned as a democrat, he will govern as the president of all of america and he will do everything within his power to help the healing process. But it sure would be helpful if the republicans would do their part. We are in a fractured nation around the questions of race, of policing, voting issues that we wrestled with in this cunanan friday f country for sometime. You were there, i got see a frontrow seat in many of those conferences. Sitting next to joe biden, by the way, dealing with this issue of from Trayvon Martin to eric garner, all while yall were in and had to deal with this. Are you confident, after this president who seemed to enjoy inflaming the problem and putting salt in the wounds, that joe biden has the expertise and the compassion along with his vicepresident Kamala Harris, to try and begin the healing process as we also try to go for new legislation that i just discussed with senator jones . Unequivocally. I think they are the terrific pair, the perfect pair to do this. Reverend, you know. You were up close when president elect biden called George Floyds family and the empathy with which he spoke to them, and the way in which he spoke to the nation, saying imagine what it feels like to have to have this painful conversation with your children. He made it a teaching moment. He made it one where he could walk in their shoes and try to imagine the pain that not only they feel, but that every black family feels. Not just about their but about their daughters, too. To be able to articulate that and to have the advice and counsel of Vice President elect harris, whose Life Experiences are different than his and who will enrich his ability to make decisions that impact us all, i cant imagine a better onetwo punch that will help heal our nation. I want to say again and reiterate, it isnt enough they will take the tone at the top. But it is up to each and every one of us to say who do we want to be as a nation . And how do we want to treat people who may be different than us, but who contribute to the diversity of our country which is made us stand out and excel around the world. People are looking at the United States for leadership. They always have, and we have profoundly disappointed them the last four years and that is about to change. You know, we have known that president obamas memoir comes out on tuesday. None of us have seen it yet, but we know that he will talk probably about it in his first term some of these same issues. And i dont think we could have a better counsel than someone who really delivered and did a lot of what we hope, and you were right there with him every step of the way for eight years. And thank you for being with us tonight. Youre welcome. Its a moving book. I cant wait for everyone to read it. All right. Thank you, valerie jarrett. Joining me now, two political strategists joel payne, former senior aide to Hillary Clinton and republican susan del percio, member of the Lincoln Project. Let me start right where i ended with valerie jarrett. Joel, the fact that this president did not concede, he says he won but it was rigged. The fact that we saw thousands of people marching yesterday in washington that ended last night in violence that insist that this president was robbed somehow of this election, what is the lasting damage and how do the democrats deal with this as they try to win two runoffs in georgia with this kind of inflamed behavior that is being demonstrated with the support of the president . The president rode through this rally yesterday on his way to the golf course and supports this idea of he was robbed, it was rigged. So he is stoking the fires here. Yeah, rev, look, the wordy come to is unforgivable because its unforgivable how donald trump has acted and maybe even more unforgivable how the republicans who surround trump, sycophants and supporters and allies who surround him as well. You know, we as democrats are as reliant upon having a loyal opposition who actually is working in good faith. We need a Republican Party that is robust and that is sane and that is whole. And donald trump has blown a hole right in that. I think you could argue that the central destabilizing event of the last years in american politics is Donald Trumps hostile takeover of the Republican Party. Without a Republican Party that can be a loyal goodfaith opposition to democrats, our system right now is teetering on the brink. And i think what you saw this weekend was a result of that and i think republicans have a lot of work to do to clean up their party. I know there are a lot of folks like susan who are working to do that, but im talking about the rank and file republicans who have been sycophant and who have been surrounding donald trump and giving him aid and comfort. They need to step in right now and correct this. Susan, how can you correct what has to be done to redeem the Republican Party . Can it be redeemed . Can it be brought back . When you see what happened yesterday, thousands marching saying that it was rigged, a man stabbed last night, was in the hospital critical, violence, and the president saying, we wont back down to antifa, rather than calling for an end to violence. As you know, we had a big march this summer, over 200,000. If Martin Luther king iii and i had had violence at that march or even an uptick in covid, they would be writing editorials now. How do you not look at donald trump, who is tweeting this in live time in realtime, and not see republicans condemn what happened and the behavior of the president . Well, rev, i kind of go with what joel said. Its all unforgivable. The purpose of the Lincoln Project was to defeat trump and trumpism. So we are halfway there. I feel as though the second half will take a lot of time, and the Republican Party is not coming together any time soon. But what is so important and again to joels point its about governance. Donald trump had no core principles. He hasnt been a fiscal hawk. He hasnt been anything of any principle of the Republican Party. We dont have a definition right now. So at this point im still a republican. Im certainly on the outside looking in. But i think it will take at least one or two cycle to get some of these people out and get new people into the party, new leadership into the party because donald trump has all but destroyed it. And maybe it needs a thirdparty somewhere in the middle. Again, going to your conversation with valerie, we need to govern. When we govern, when transitions happen, it leads to good governance. Yeah. And for example, you know cuomo. He even had a 70 Approval Rating in april with republicans. Why . Because he was leading, and thats what people want to see. They want to see leadership and governance. Were going to have him on in a few minutes. But im going to have to leave it there. Thank you, joel and susan del percio. Coming up, you may be surprised. I kind of agree with republicans who say that americans, american institutions have long been rigged. I gotcha moment is next. But first my colleague richard lui with todays top stories. And good day to you, rev. Some of the stories were watching for you this hour, a new milestone. 11 million coronavirus cases nationwide. Over 246,000 fatalities to date. North dakota working through a surge of its own cases this week. The governor switches gears and is now implementing a statewide mask mandate. Restaurant capacity will be limited to 50 . All School Winter sports are suspended until december 14th. We are two hours away from this live picture when we will see a spacex launch, potentially 7 27 p. M. Is the launch at cape canal ral, florida. The falcon 9 capsule is a rocket design. It will take a fourperson crew to the International Space station. Looks like theyre at that capsule right now. The historic flight will be spacexs first operational mission. Vicepresident pence is expected to attend. The launch was delayed yesterday due to the weather. Todays forecast has it at 50 for a favorable launch. More politics nation with reverend al sharpton right after the break. This Holiday Season, its all about the bedroom. And with caspers black friday sale, you can save up to 30 and make yours a winter slumberland. The fluffiest down duvet youll ever feel, soft and light percale sheets, a cool, supportive mattress and plush pillows, even our glow light for better sleep. Yeah, its time for grilled cheese. After we make grilled cheese, then were eating grilled cheese. Because its time. Yeah. Time for grilled cheese. Dont settle for silver 1 for diabetic dry skin 1 for psoriasis symptom relief and 1 for eczema symptom relief gold bond champion your skin for todays gotcha, i want to talk about the Republican Party. A once proud party, party of lincoln. Now reduced to whining and crying and lying for Donald Trumps lost cause. Republicans all over this country are claiming that this election was somehow rigged against them. Its especially rich because, if anything, americas institutions have long been rigged in favor of republicans. Take the electoral college. A recent study laid out the republican advantage in stark terms. Because of the electoral college, in an election where democrats and republicans each get 50 of the vote, the Republican Party will take the white house in 65 of scenarios. And its not just the president ial elections where the gop has a builtin advantage. In 2014 republicans got 52 of the senate vote and gained nine seats. In 2018 democrats got 54 of the vote and lost two seats. But having the deck stacked in their favor has never been enough for republicans. After conservatives on the Supreme Court gutted the Voting Rights act in 2013, republicans have repeatedly refused to protect Voting Rights in this country. Most recently with the john lewis Voting Rights act that passed by the democratic house, has been left to die on Mitch Mcconnells desk. But i understand why republicans refuse to move on a new v. R. A. It allows them to keep cheating with actions like closing over a thousand polling places across the south. The minority districts tend to vote for democratic opponents. By purging eligible voters in battleground states, focusing their malfeasance in urban areas so as not to target their own voters. And even sabotaging the u. S. Postal service itself, slowing down mail delivery in democratic strong holds within key states to try to reelect the most unpopular president in recent memory. All that chi cane ry and you accuse democrats of cheating . This is a new and pathetic low. You people brag about being the party of lincoln, socalled cheer leaders of originalism and defenders of traditional american values. But this election has proven all that goes out the window when the votes dont go your way. But luckily, millions of americans who do believe in democracy, overcame all your attempts at cheating and made their voices heard. As hard as you fought to disenfranchise black and Brown Indigenous voters we fought harder to make our votes count. As one who cast my ballot to stop your naked power grab, let me just say, i gotcha. Traditionally, black people have been shut out [music playing throughout] of the financial system. My grandfather founded Industrial Bank in 1934 so black people would have a bank that would work with them. Because our doors are open, other doors are opening to more opportunities for our community. Were excited to work with citi, so we can realize our dreams of expanding our reach and impact. Citi is committed to working with blackowned banks like industrial, so they can continue to support their clients and communities. Noand if youre troubledan a lifby falls and bleeds, ers. Worry follows you everywhere. Over 100,000 people have left blood thinners behind with watchman. Its a onetime, minimally invasive procedure that reduces stroke risk and bleeding worryfor life. Watchman. Its one time. For a lifetime. If the Trump Administration does not change this plan and does not provide an equitable vaccine process, we will enforce our legal right. We will bring legal action to protect new yorkers. We will fight to make sure every life is protected equally because enough people have died and enough injustice has been done during covid. It stops now. It stops with this vaccine. Just hours ago, new York Governor Andrew Cuomo spoke at the Riverside Church here in new york city. Cuomo promised to go to the mat for new yorkers following the president s threat that a covid19 vaccine rollout will be delayed in the empire state and laid out his plan to ensure that black and brown new yorkers who have been disproportionately harmed during the pandemic would have equal access to the vaccine. Joining me now is new York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Governor cuomo, you came on strong in threatening to sue the president in political directives directed at you in getting the vaccine. And you addressed those in communities that have been most impacted. Good to be with you, rev. Look, the president doesnt like people who disagree with him. He doesnt like criticism. We know that. And he bullies people. Well, hes not going to bully new yorkers. The development of the vaccine is great news. Pfizer, a new york company, 90 , thats all great, great news. The question is now going to be the distribution of the vaccine, which is a much bigger task than this federal government realizes. And all through covid, the federal incompetence has been our major problem. We have to vaccinate 330 Million People in this country. To give you an idea of the scale, this country has only done 120 million covid tests over the past eight months. Thats with everybody scrambling. And the vaccine plan, rev, they dont provide enough resources to the state to actually make sure we can get it to everyone in the state. They want to use private facilities, major drug chains, hospitals, et cetera. We know we dont have those in black and brown communities. We know we have health care deserts. Thats why we have blacks who died at twice the rate than whites from covid. And it cant be that blacks were on the first list of death toll and then theyre going to be the last to receive the vaccine. Thats not going to happen. Now, that is something that weve been raising and weve been very openly discussing youve been discussing this for sometime. And you said this morning that the trump vaccine plan doesnt adequately serve those communities of color. How would you propose that we do that . How can the state make sure that this is dealt with . You said were going to challenge them legally. If youre successful, if he in fact does this, how do we alleviate this problem . Yeah, the trump plan is the same plan that he had in the beginning of covid. Its the point the finger plan, right . The states will take care of it. The states will take care of it. The whole vaccination plan is theyre going to deliver the vaccine to doctors offices, hospitals and drugstore chains, and then leave it to the states. Now, you cant leave it to the states without giving the states the resources to do the distribution. States are hurting badly. I have a 15 billion deficit. This federal government wont provide any funding to state and local governments and now youre telling me i have to do the distribution. I would organize an army to do this. You know, we have to get into the black and brown community. We have to educate them. There is going to be a lot of distrust about this vaccine. I cant tell you how many people bring the Tuskegee Airmen back. There has to be a Public Education campaign, you need community groups, faithbased organizations. The cdc estimates the cost at 6. 6 billion. Theyre only providing 140 million. Their own cdc says 6. 6 billion and they wont provide the funds to do it equitably. The Tuskegee Airmen is something im hearing around the state. You tweeted if we all took more precautions, well need fewer restrictions. At what point do you decide to impose more restrictions . Is there a level of positivity, hospitalizations . What level do we need before you come with more restrictions, and how do we handle it until that point in new york . Well, rev, we were ambushed by covid, right, early on. It was coming here for three months from europe and the white house forgot to tell us. So we had that very high infection rate. We had the highest in the United States. Were now down to the lowest, one of the lowest in the United States. And we do it all by science. We do it all by metrics. We watch that Positivity Rate. If it goes up, we have more restrictions. Its that simple. Our Positivity Rate now is the third lowest in the country, but were seeing it go up just like its going up around the world, and we have mathematical numbers where i say to the people of the state, look, either you act responsibly or that infection rate goes up. And if it goes up, then we close bars, we close restaurants, et cetera. And then when you hit that number, that restriction goes into place because were not going back to where we were. I can tell you that much. Now, as we look at these closing days, the president is saying the elections was rigged. Clearly we see a 5 millionplus advantage that joe biden has in terms of the counting in the popular vote. Hes now at over hes at 306 in the electoral vote. What does this do . I mean, youve been in politics all your life. Your father, a great statesman. You elected to several offices and reelected governor several times. What does this do to the confidence of voters . Oh, look, what he has done has been shameful. But, by the way, what hes done for four years has been shameful. This is all about him, rev. You know, we know him from new york. He is a marketing man first. And you see his next play. Hes not going to concede. Hes going to say, i won the election, but it was rigged and i was cheated and im gonna come back and im going to start a tv show and im going to start a network and im gonna run again. Because i really won the election. Biden stole it. Thats going to be his story. Thats his marketing story leaving the white house, and hes going to sell that and market that for the next few years. Well, thank you for joining us today. You and i had a mutual friend named jack. And if he could see now andrew cuomo preaching at a church and on the the New York Times bestsellers list, and im hosting a show, jack wouldnt believe it. Thank you for being here. He wouldnt believe it. 66 days away from the inauguration and the lack of transition coordination between team trump and team biden has caused a concern for National Security because President Trump has yet to concede to president elect biden. Daily president ial briefings or access to other classified information has not been shared. Biden advisers remain worried that without this crucial sharing of information, it will leave room for major security blind spots on day one of the biden presidency. Joining me now is congressman roke conner who served on the Armed Services committee and was cochair of Bernie Sanders president ial campaign. Thank you for being with me, congressman. Thank you, reverend. Thanks for having me back. Congressman, you served on Armed Services committee. Are you concerned that President Trump is risking National Security by not dealing in it a cooperative way with the transition of power . Yes, i am. Republican colleagues are concerned. There was a famous 9 11 report which said that the delay in election of having george w. Bush assume office later because of that dispute actually made us more vulnerable to 9 11, and thats not an opinion. That is a factual basis of a report. And here you have absolutely no transition not just in disrespect of president elect biden and Vice President elect harris, but its jeopardizing National Security. Any of the republicans you say republicans have been trouble. Have any republicans indicated to you that they will publicly come out . Weve heard crickets from them, and this is potentially very dangerous. Reverend, i think the reason we heard crickets is what your guest Governor Cuomo said. They know trump isnt going away. Hes going to have a bully pulpit and he has huge support in the Republican Party. Theyre concerned about their own seats, about their own primary challenges, about the possibility President Trump could be a nominee in the future. Its sheer politics. A matter of National Security. They know this is deeply wrong. All right. Talking about politics, with this election of president elect biden, Vice President elect Kamala Harris, where do you see the future of the Democratic Party . Obviously we have different people, different wings, for lack of a better term, in the party. Youve been one of the leaders of the progressive wing. How do you see the party moving forward where there is general unity, but clarity at the same time and what the party stands for in a moment of victory and in a moment that were not sure whether or not we see the democrats having the majority of the senate . The future, i think, is clearly multi racial, multi ethnic future. Thats where the base is, thats where young people are. One of the things president elect biden said is he wants to be a transition to that future. And he won a decisive victory. Flipping five states, winning almost as much popular vote maybe when all votes are counted than obama won in 2012. So we all have an obligation to help him succeed. And my view is where we can get consensus is on the Task Force Recommendation that he ran on. He ran on investments in clean technology. He ran on extending medicare to 60. He ran on the 15 minimum wage. He ran on a bold infrastructure bill. Lets at least pass that and get that agenda through. The election of senator Kamala Harris to being vicepresident has opened up the California Senate seat. There have been talks of you being on california governor Gavin Newsoms short list of filling that seat of Vice President elect Kamala Harris. Senator Bernie Sanders tweeted his endorsement 6 that his endorsement of that move. If you were approached about that move, would you take it . Id be honored to be in the mix. There are some outstanding people. Barbara lee, karen bass. My interest is who we nominate is progressives, stand up against the endless wards, be for medicare for all, be for 15 minimum wage, be for green new deal. If any one of them were selected id be enthusiastic about that as well. I have to leave it there. Congressman ro khanna, thank you for being with us. Up next, my final thoughts. Ill be right back. Its velveeta shells cheese versus the other guys. Clearly, velveeta melts creamier. With this seal, this restaurant is committing to higher levels of cleanliness. The expertise that helps keep hospitals clean, is helping keep businesses clean too. Look for the ecolab science certified seal. Our own hopes and dreams. Well pass many milestones. Moments that define you. And drive you. To achieve even more. So, celebrate every one. Because success isnt just about where you want to get to.
