It is my only form of fighting back. Youre talking about 15,000 active u. S. Military to the border. We have to have a wall of people, very highly trained people. In the campaign, you made a promise. You id ssaid, i will never lie you. Oprah winfrey. Oprah having a town hall with the democrat running to make history in georgia. Hello, georgia. I just want to say yall been on my mind. You all are on the precipice, on the very precipice of historical and historical election. I called Stacey Abrams and i said stacey this is oprah. You know what she said . She said, girl, let me pull over to the side of the road. Were just five days out from exercising our right, rve everybodys right. I wouldnt have the composure to salem pull over. I think i would just drive right over. The vote is the only way to have a say in how our government is run. Heres where we stand. Democrats are in a strong position to take back the house. The latest numbers from the Washington Post show dems have a fourpoint lead in the most competitive house districts around the country. While analysis on 538 shows democrats have about a 15 chance of winning the senate. I will point out, i think 538 gave donald trump about a 13 chance of winning the presidency right before the election so thats what it is. Take that into account. President trump, he is continuing his campaign blitzes with a critical stop in missouri tonight. The Senate Candidates there are neck and neck and a veteran democrat, Claire Mccaskill, loses her seat, it is almost guaranteed the democrats will not take back the senate. Trump has ten events, ten, planned in the next five days, including two stops in indiana, where the Democratic Senate candidate has about a onepoint lead in this deeply red state. Voters are already coming out in droves to make their voices heard. According to nbc news analysis, more than 24 million early votes have been cast. Almost double the number. At the same time in the 2014 midterms. You said it yesterday. The greatest news you and i could have would be next wednesday morning, waking up to tell you breaking news, record numbers of people have voted. Its not the outcome, its that you voted. 43 of people casting early ballots are republicans. 41 are democrats. 16 identify as other. Some of the biggest issues affecting how people will vote first, and we talk about this all the time, it is not necessarily the hot button issues that you hear candidates talking about, its the economy. Its jobs. Second, its health care. Third, changing how things working in washington. Weve heard that frustration with government leadership. Fourth, looking out for the middle class. Which is basically the same as economy and jobs and health care, right. Talking about looking after the middle class, its economics. The president says we have a middle class tax cut coming up. I say wear. Not only is congress not in session, how do you pay for it. The president has given zippo, zero, zilch information of how hes going to do that. I can talk about how we paid for the last tax cut. Maybe we can do it the same way, stephanie. Dont be sassy. Okay. We gave a massive tax cut to corporate america. You could have given a tax cut to corporate america, a lesser one, and an additional one for the middle class. We didnt. Here we are with a tax cut that hasnt paid for himself and the president is talking about a second one and were here to tell you there is no formula to pay for it. Fifth, President Trumps favorite one. The last one here, immigration. Fifth. Fifth. But to some of the base, think that might be one or close to it. Okay, fine. Lets just say every Single Person on the Migrant Caravan makes his or her way to the United States. It will affect almost no one watching right now. No one sitting right heres lives. But health care, jobs, the economy, education, thats going to actually, many of those types of people who come in seeking asylum or in some case s if they get work in the United States it tends to be minimum wage service jobs. In fact it generally only affects people positively from an economics perspective because there are farmers across america saying this is causing labor problems. Look, lots to discuss. Senior editor of politics for nbc news and bill krystal, the weekly standard. I want to ask this one question. Really, just one . Just one and youve got the rest of the show. Youve got 55 minutes, you better think of some more. There are 11 seats in the senate that nbc says are competitive. Of those three, texas is an important one in which ted cruz tips to have a lead and republicans tend to be voting in larger numbers than democrats. North dakota, Heidi Heitkamp at a disadvantage there. And montana, where the president is going to be where Claire Mccaskill is in a very tight race there. Theyve got control now. If things just stay the way they are, theyre going to continue to have control. Theres any way you can slice this. A pickup with a couple of seats with republicans. Theres a path for democrats to take. It would have to be a complete its narrow but it exists. It would require almost Heidi Heitkamp to win that seat. And polling shows her quite far behind now. The missouri seat, the indiana seat, really, really tight. They were at a disadvantage right from the beginning because President Trump is so popular in those places. But all those candidates are incumbents, number one. And all of them are pretty good representations in their own state. Theyre not some weird outlier that never should have been there. Theyve got a long history in those states. So theyre about the best people to be running. Its still going to be hard, just because of the way the map is looking for democrats to pull off that inside straight. Loving way . Absolutely, i meant missouri. Going to missouri too. I was confusing them because the president s going to a lot of places which needs shoring up. Bill, what senate race do you think is the most important . Im here to missouri. Which is a very interesting race. I think if mccaskill doesnt win, it dooms the chances to hold the senate. People were looking at polls today, thursday, that means they were in the field probably monday, tuesday night, thats a week before the election. Most voters have made up their mind but there are undecideds. They can break in one direction or another. Then you get differential turnouts, different groups. Im a little less confident than everyone else. I just think i feel like theres a little momentum. Usually in these kinds of elections, when theres something of a resealeds in early, midoctober. You know, just trying to get the financial dealers interested here too, right. But then the major trend reasserts itself. You see that a little more in the house polling. I just dont know. The one thing trump has done now is increase this in such a big way, in my view, really distasteful. I wonder how much that affects it. Even north dakota, missouri, you know what, were the conservatives, were the liberals. Lets have a normal election, indiana, missouri. Go republican obviously mostly. Instead, hes got to introduce something his base loves but ive got to think there are swing voters here, kansas city, st. Louis suburbs, who look at that and think, geez, are we going to reward this rabblerousing. I actually think trump has put the republicans in a little more risk. We actually talked to some from indiana, iowa, illinois who all say were not all there with the immigration thing. Lets say those swing voters. If theres a swing voter that thinks the president s nativism approach, he belive haves in a morally reprehensible way. If the option on the other side is a far less progressive democrat, you have a good chance theyll close their eyes and vote republican again. Sure, its possible. What weve said, becoming more so the case now, this race is going to be all the races across the country, this midterm is going to be decided in the midterms. Suburban voters are really, really engaged, really fired up. Theyre doing early voting in vast numbers. Theyve been the sort of activism all this time. Theyre going to be voters who are the most important ones in this race. Quo the question is how will the immigrant push that President Trump is now doing going to play in those suburban areas . They tend to be very much mixed. Bill says he thinks its probably going to turn it off. Go ahead, bill. To say that, i think by definition, these democrat senators that won in red states. Theyre not left wing. Theyre not if your a swing voter, youre not incapable lets say. The other thing, its very hard to judge from early voting. This is a famous trap people get into. If were seeing a surge in early voting and theres some surge in young people voting, if some of that is being captured, more importantly, young people tend not to vote early. I looked in some of these models a little more closely, the results change a lot if you decide the electorate is going to be, you know, 15 Younger Voters as opposed to 9 to 10 . Because theres such a disproportion in which group favors who, right. If you change the composition of the electorate, you change the outcome much more in this election than normally. Because theres such a difference in older voters and Younger Voters. Thats why i think texas, im kind of alone in this, i think texas is in play. I just dont know if orourke can really expand the electorate but i dont rule it out. Expanding the electorate by better, orourkes definition, may involve the fact the turnout might be voting orourke. Thats interesting. We will mark your words because you often make predictions and it often turns out true. Sometimes not. With me mostly not. My confusion, because we heard over and over, the importance of suburban women voters and i understand that, i just dont understand which way those women are going. Right. And if they break in significant patterns in one way or the other, that changes the picture. If they dont, look, i think suburban women voters are a remarkable area of concentration. Many suburban women voters will tell you were not a thing, were not a monolith. Louis ruehl would tell you that. We will be watching it very closely. I dont know ive ever exciting midterm elections, i dont know there were as many going into them as opposed to the couple days before. Ali, the fact were looking at early voting numbers that look more like 2016, 2014, big deal. Unbelievable. Next, were honing in on two states, two states that can change history this election. Were going to go live to georgia where right now oprah is campaigning for Stacey Abrams who could become the countrys first africanamerican female governor. Every single one of us has the same power at the polls. And every single one of us has something that if done in numbers too big to tamper with [ cheers and applause ] cannot be suppressed and cannot be denied. As our civil rights predecessors used to say, we shall not be moved. I could listen to her for a long time. Well be live in texas. Ninetysix hundred roads named park in the u. S. Its americas most popular street name. But allstate agents know thats where the similarity stops. With tuesday fast approaching, candidates across the country are giving their closing pitch to voters and getting some highpowered help in a lot of those places. Former Vice President joe biden campaigning for Heidi Heitkamp in north dakota today before he heads to michigan to boost the chances in a republicanheld district. Tomorrow, obama will campaign for Stacey Abrams. Vice president pence is also in georgia today. Appearing at events for g gubernatorial candidate kemp. Stacey abrams is being bankrolled by hollywood liberals. Sending their support into the state. Like i heard oprahs in town today. I heard will ferrell was going door to door the other day. Well, id like to remind stacey and oprah and will ferrell. Im kind of a big deal too. Hes not that funny. Hes also from out of state. Im fascinated by people criticizing other people come in from out of state when theyre actually out of state doing that. Are we watching, is this live by the way . Oprah and can you imagine oprah ringing your doorbell . I would just collapse. Shes more than in town. Shes rallying very actively for the democratic candidate in marietta, Stacey Abrams on the left. Heres some of what she had to say earlier. Heres the truth, all of us may have been created equal but if you woke if you woke, if you woke just a little bit, you got sense enough to know that everybody is not treated equally. The reality is this, the reality is we see injustices big and small all around us every single day of our lives. Every single one of us, every single one of us has the same power at the polls. Every single one of us has something if done in numbers too big to tamper with. [ applause ] cannot be denied. As our civil rights predecessors used to say, we shall not be moved. For anybody here who has an ancestor who didnt have the right to vote and you are choosing not to vote wherever you are in this state, in this country, you are dishonoring your family. Youre disrespecting and disregarding their legacy, their suffering and their dreams when you dont vote. So honor their legacy. Honor your legacy. Honor your right to citizenship in this, which is the greatest country in the world. And in a recent poll by the fox station in atlanta, it showed abrams up by a point with a 3. 9 margin of error. Georgia is a state where the winner needs to get 50 . Otherwise, theres a runoff and many of the voters there would likely go because hes a libertarian. The thinking, his supporters, might go to kemp over abrams. It all depens. We might be waiting a while. We might not know who georgias next governor is. We might. Now, our guest joins us, the Senior Editor at nbc news, beth this is the race in the country that has everybodys attention. Even though most people are not voting for the governor of georgia. Stacey abrams possible first black female governor. Kemp, like a guy running for governor kansas, is a secretary of state who have done things some people quite clearly articulate as being voter suppress activity. Hes supervising elections and hes running for governor. Thats right. Even though this has nothing to do with the balance of power in the senate or the house, a lot of viewers are really interested in, i really think this governors race is probably where these parties are. Those are the two races im looking at most closely on tuesday. Youve got a perfect left versus right trumppy republican nominee running for the republican side. On the democratic side, you have members of the coalition of the descendant. We talked about that during the obama years. Candidates who are younger. Theyre progressive. Theyre not theyre people of color. Ones a woman, ones a man. So youve got sort of the distill lation where both parties are right now. You have basically a clash of the titans that way. In both place, the democrats, gillum and abram, are running saying look, im not looking for those supposedly mode streeters who are trying to figure out where they want to go. Theyre looking for voters who are more with them on progressive issues. They think thats the solution. Its not just to be the mushy middle. Its really to tack hard left. Its taking a risk. Maybe some of those suburban voters who are really fired up and want to be involved this time may not be fully comfortable with that. Both gillum and Stacey Abrams are taking the chance thats the way to win. You want to pull out people would feel passionate who want to take that direction and not be just all things to all people. Oprah shows up, vp pence shows up. Anyone who is attending those events im guessing theyre already engaged. So does star power make a difference beyond getting more National Attention . Hard to say. I would put oprah in a special category. Pence is a republican. President Trumps Deputy so of course hes out campaigning. Oprah is also sort of a unicorn in terms of being a celebrity because shes so well known. Everybody in the country knows her. She has this unique appeal. Also all those women who watched her talk show all those years, many of whom are suburban vomit many of whom are suburban voters. So for her to say i want to get behind this person, it means more. Shes not just running down the list of any race this a democrats involved in. She made the choice, i think she makes a difference. Beth, thank you. Its going to be an exciting night on tuesday not just for the races for the senate and house, but some of these gubernatorial races. Nbc news correspondent katie beck is live in marietta, georgia, at the oprah Stacey Abrams event which has just wrapped up. Looked like quite an event. We were watching a lot of it. There was so much energy here today, ali. All of these people fired up for what is one of the most hotly contested races in the nation right now. The polls have these two candidates within a point of each other. So stressing the importance of getting out and voting, taking it seriously, was very much a part of the message today. From oprah and abrams. You were in the crowd. What was your impression of what went on in here . Excitement. We understand the importance of this race and the folks gathered here today understand that importance. So we are here ready to win this race. We flipped doug hlas county in 2016. We know when you elect people that believe in your values and believe in this state as a whole, we knew good things come from it so were excited. I know oprah is a big exciting character for everybody. Yes, my mind was made up. We early voted last wednesday. Oprah winfrey, here to support, says a lot. Because she could have could have went somewhere else. So i think it shows that oprah believes in stacey. Why not you . We know oprah has great value. She has helped so many people around this world. So i think its important that credibility. Credibility. Shes said multiple times, i was not paid to come here. Im an independent woman. You listened to the whole thing. Really what ive learned is theres a way to come together and actually vote because of values. It doesnt matter what you look like, who you love and how you act. Its hey, whos a person who has these values. Tonight people will see stacey has has those values. Are you optimistic . Yes. This is a red state. Very optimistic. We can do it, yes. Thank you so much for joining me. Again, ali, early voting totals here through the roof. They were up 140 from what the midterms were in 2014, just to give you an idea, how much excitement surrounds this race. Katie beck in marietta. I think thats the point that people will cover oprah in a way so its not for the people who were there. I think everybody katie meets that the rally already voted or is votinging for Stacey Abrams. That level of star power i think makes a difference think youre right, people go to rallies if you go to a rally, you are engaged. Okay, coming up next, five days from the midterms, President Trump is making big claims about the economy, including saying the stock market has boosted Retirement Plans. Thats not entirely true. Nearly half of all americans do not have a Retirement Plan or one thats tied to the stock market. More than half of americans dont have stocks. Welcome back to velshi and ruehl. Just five days until midterms. Were watching a unique race in texas where democratic congressman beto orourke is looking to unseat republican senator ted cruz. Nbcs Garrett Haake is near the border of mexico where orourke just finished speaking. Garrett, from the outside, this race looks like its tightening, but were sitting here in new york, and i know beto is getting a lot of support and chatter outside of texas. Take us threw ere to where the actual voters are. Ali talked about a unique race. A unique candidate. We just finished the rally here. Beto orourke. This is what happened after every rally. He comes outside afterwards and folks line up to get a selfie, shake his hand. They line up down the block. We see this hundreds of people, sometimes thousands of people at some of these rallies. I mentioned this in part because i mentioned this because its difficult to square the energy we see at these events with the polls that show him down five, six, seven eight points. Texas is a big state. Its a heavily republican state. Were in the Rio Grande Valley where voter turnout has traditionally been abysmal. If this candidate can excite people here, they believe they can find voters who dont usually show up and who dont are not reflected in those polls and that can ultimately make the difference. Garrett, explain to me how turnout is working there. Does seem that ted cruz, polling a little higher. Republican polling, republican turnout is a little bit higher. You had this conversation with beto orourke the other day about how does he look at that stuff and still suggest that he might pull off a win there . Yes, so the bottom line is in texas this is a more republican state structurally. There are millions of more republican voters. If everybody votes in texas, every single registered voter in texas votes, republicans win. But democratic voters or voters who might be democrats, independents, folks who are republicans of party of george bush, not the party of donald trump, thats the coalition the orourke people think could drive them. The early vote numbers across state are blog the doors off of anything we have seen here in any other year. Theyre eclipsing president ial level years here. For a state that orourke often decides is a nonvoting state, more than a red or blue voting state that is buoying. The reality here is the orourke campaign, they dont employ a polster. To some degree, theyre flying blind. We know tons of people are voting. We wont know until tuesday. That is the theory behind this campaign here, is that they can win not just with the traditional texas electorate but they can bring people out like these folks in the Rio Grande Valley which has some of been the Sleeping Giant in texas politics. The Sleeping Giant. A lot of mainly hispanics who dont come out normally in those numbers. Thanks very much, garrett. Nothing sleepy nothing sleepy there. Fun facts, Garrett Haake is from texas. That was fun. Wow. I was bored until then. All right, the president still talking about the markets i know, you know what did you get a lot of sleep last night . Now that i have lunch before the show its a little different. A lot happening. You used to have me when i was like hungry and now, i mean, i just ate. Oke doek. The president and tax cut. A tweet about his immigration push. Telling workers at a white house event they will, quote, lose a lot of money if democrats win the midterms. No sandwich for you. No. What hes not talking about, reporting that the Treasury Department is estimating it could issue more than 1 trillion bucks in debt this year. Think about this. After la of the years tax cut slashed revenue and it could threaten the very Economic Growth the president and the advisers have been promising. So remember this about trickle down. It actually cuts at the top and it hopes and promises and wishes on the way down. More on the hope, promise and wish stage. When it gets to the bottom youre hoping for a drop of what was at the top. Joining us now, nbc news political reporter and fact checker jane tim. Her latest article on nbcnews. Com looks at President Trumps claims on tax cuts. Read it and tweet it. The first claim you look at is the president s a version that tax cuts and republican policies created lots of jobs. Whats your verdict . This is true on its face but not as true as trump would like it to be. I called one on the right, one on the left and two in the middle. And everyone said, you know, the economy wasnt doing badly. Trump says he pulled off an Enormous Economic reroute turnaround. Turnaround. And he didnt really do that. He gave it extra boost. Yes, he gave it extra boost. Everyone says we can agree thax cuts probably helps a little bit. She recently said on fox news everyone knows President Trump is responsible for the turnaround. No. Its not true. There was no turnaround. I will give him credit for not wrecking what was going on. Then theres the claim that during President Trumps first year in office, tax cuts will spur Enormous Growth and pay for themselves. Its like two claims in one. Yes, absolutely. Neither of which are true. This is the no one really believes is going to happen. Conservatives like to say, well, we think the growth is going to get better in a call of yeouple. Were not seeing it yet. In materials of growth, thats how it normally works. If you have a tax cut and the idea is corporations are going to invest, you wouldnt see growth within 3 to 6 months. Its the president joef stat ov. Absolutely the. What were seeing is a lot of Companies Buy back their own storm. Keeping that wealth in the pockets of those who already had it. Which is what we claimed was going to happen. Number three, the stock market boosted your retirement. This is true it you 401 k. Not a lot of americans have a 401k. Less than half of all americans sorry, just over half of americans have a Retirement Plan through their workplace. Thats the entry level way to get into the stock market. The vast majority of stocks are held by the strongest number in america. Youre not going to see americans actually really feel the stock markets rise or its downs. Its like the trickle down thing. The wealthiest americans get the benefit of the stock market increase. Average americans get some. Claim number four. What about this one . 90 of americans got a tax cut and millions got bonuses. You know, the majority of americans did get tax cuts but whats really false natie fasc this is they didnt see. They didnt feel like they get a tax cut. The president is saying after the midterm, another tax cut i really want you to stay on that. This promise hes making to people because if i would think, wow, great, vote republican and theres a tax cut coming. How have they proposed to pay for this middle class tax cut . You see Congressional Republicans getting sort of a little bit shifty when they talk about this because they cant pay for it and they dont want to add more for the debt. Thats not on the playbook for republicans. Trump knows the majority of people did not see any more take home pay and some of that may be masked by Rising Health care premiums or other things that you just dont see it. If you promised me a tax cut, that would impact how im voting. I just want to help our voters, our voters . Our viewers understand that there hasnt been any plan theres no plan, nothing. No legislation. Nothing. Its just a hope, its a bumper sticker. Wages heading up. What about the most people did get bonuses and see things like maybe a small cut in your utility bill. But the economy still says to me, you know, thats publicity, thats not economics, thats not part of the plan. It wasnt really designed. A lot of companies would say look, were giving bonuses out. Those get spent. Those dont keep rising. A lot of these bonuses are not permanent increase in wages. They dont increase your base salary. A onetime bonus theyres an going up, from target, from walwalmart, from amazon, thats good. I dont think that has anything to do with the president. Thats a longer term trend thats been going on. Jane, thank you. Coming up next, the changing face of Orange County, california. An area where nearly 30 white, 30 asian and 30 latino. We look at a pry exime example how historic districts are into play. Orange county, the democrat, a latino navy veteran, is facing former state representative and koreanamerican, republican, young kim. The two are nearly even in the favorite polling. Remember when steve king approved of the idea of whats the point of diversity . Right there. Nbc news road warrior steve patterson. Walk us through how demo grap c ices demographics are impacting the race there. Every cliche you probably heard about Orange County true in some way. Used to be white, suburban, upper middle class. Famous for being this republican stronghold. But so much has changed in the last ten years. This is a cokoreanamerican grocery store. Its really allowed for, as weve been talking to voters, particularly democrats, who say they dont feel lake theyre second class citizens anymore because of issues pertaining to these groups. This district now is about literally 30, 30, 30. 30 asian, 30 latino, 30 white. And young kim would be the first koreanamerican elected to congress, koreanamerican woman. We spoke to him about what diversity means to him in this race. Listen to this. You got a longtime republican Orange County which has been very white for so long. Here you have two minorities going at it from each side of the aisle. Trying to decide which direction were going to take not only this district but the county and hopefully the country as well. And as weve been saying about Orange County, still a republican area. They have the lead in republicans who are registered to vote. But this is not necessarily trump country. Spoke to young kim as well. Shes trying to distance herself from the politics of donald trump and the National Headlines trump is making waves with. Heres what she said as being attacked as another trump candidate. I am running as my own person. This Say Community i know. The people of this district know who i am. I worked with them for over two decades. I represented them in the california state assembly. I brought results of substance to this district. Both candidates are telling me because of how diverse this district now is, it is now more important than ever to do door knocks, to get out the votes, to canvass as hard as they can. Because it is neck and neck in this race, back to you. An interesting story, thank you so much. Honestly, if i hadnt heard that story from steve, im not sure my longstanding image of Orange County as this conservative place would have evolved. This is interesting. Happening across the country. Is that because of just checking. Next, President Trump is stoking fear in the midterm campaigns, especially on immigration which is not even a top three issue for voters. Were going to look at how he is using tired poor Asylum Seekers to mislead and distract voters. And how president s have used fear as a Campaign Tactic in the past. I remind you, he is using fear. You would not believe how long ive been rehearsing that. No annual fee on any card. Only from discover. We have to have a wall of people. Terrific, dedicated patriots. You have caravans coming up that look a lot larger than its reported actually. Politics of fear. Thats what the president was explaining why up to 15,000 american troops could be deployed to the u. S. Mexico border. He said wall of people. Cant get his wall built so now hes going to send military people. An immigration bill was put forward. It has bipartisan support. The president couldnt get it over the line because republicans wouldnt vote. A guy in texas, a republican, said this makes absolutely no sense. Think about the manpower, the resource, the money being spent to go to the border for what . Theres that conversation which is an interesting conversation and theres the whole backing behind it which is all about fear. I want to bring in a couple of people to have this conversation. Evan thomas. Lets examine the second problem first, evan. This is an election. This guy is the president. He is not shown a willingness to step up and bring the nation together in times of difficulty. In this particular instance, five days out from the election, hes actively stoking fear that somehow these Asylum Seekers are going to overrun our country and do us great damage and put us in peril. Hes not the first president to do this. Hes more blatant. Hes more flagrant but other president s have tried to exploit fear before him. 15,000 troops. That is more than we had in afghanistan. More than in iraq and syria combi combined. First, is it legal . Im not going to say, is it necessary . But this is campaign ploy, sir . Yeah. First of all its clearly within the president s authority. Its legal. We had troops on the border in supporting federal Law Enforcement one way or the other for 25 years. Ive got a lot of experience in Central America and mexico. What were seeing is a continuing humanitarian crisis in Central America. People fleeing poverty and violence. They have come upon a new tactic which is caravans, walking together for safety and where they dont have to pay the coyote to take them across the boarder. It will require some thoughtful response on immigration policy. As a general statement, i dont think theres any question this is a political cherade by the president to influence midterm elections. What are the approaches here . The general talked about thoughtful response. I dont think theres anything that think we shouldnt have borders and processes. More than twothirds of Asylum Seekers do not get granted asyl asylum. What does a thoughtful response look like and would the president be interested in that . I thoughtful response is not that easy to do to get something thats constitutional and fair that pleases everybody. Thats one reason why we havent had immigration reform. For whatever it is, trump is not interested because its a great political tactic for him to stoke fear. Hes not interested in the details. Theres the issue of lots and lots of troops on our streets. Something we have become after natural disasters. Is there anything that concerns you about the fact that active duty troops are being sent to america in america for something that doesnt feel like a military exercise . Clearly, this is a wasteful effort. Its not a National Security crisis. Its a Border Control crisis. Theres 60,000 employees in customs and border protections. State have authority to use National Guard forces and nontitle x activities. We shouldnt get diverted from the main reason this is happening. This is an election charade going on. I doubt the 15,000 will ever deploy. Thats a good point. Another thought, just pick a number you believe, 10, 12 million illegal aliens in the country. Overwhelming they are law abides i abiding, hard working people. They build the buildings, take care of our children. They are needed in a legal manner inside this country. That might be where our intellectual work might need to be deployed. Thank you both. I realize that political tactics have to be put in place before an election, but again, think about all the people in this country. They want a good job, put food on their table, have health care, have a good education for their kids. Isnt that what matters most . You would think. As our polling indicates this issue of immigration is quite low down but i guess for the base the president enjoys having show up at his rallies and cheer him on. Its important. We wont know how well this played. Smart political people think its not a good play but they didnt think he would be the president. Bingo right there. Hes got this all on his own. Thank you for watching. You can watch him in one hour. Postlunch. Ill see you tomorrow at 9 00 a. M. Eastern. We see you katie. Do that again. I was like, oh no. Look over there. Theres the camera. During this hour, the camera can only get her. Have a great show. Just to get back on a serious note for one second. I presented these to donald trump to himself in the first interview in 2015 right after he announced his candidacy after he talked about mexicans being rapist. I told him this and he didnt care. People who are born here commit more crime than people who come over or borders. He didnt want to accept that because it didnt fit with his narrative. Still doesnt. Were letting people in that will come in and do harm to us. Its amazing that that is the message. When somebody born here just killed 11 people in a synagogue and yet that is not the problem. The people coming over the border is the problem. You tell us. Ive not been to a trump rally. You presented him with these facts in 2015. He had no interest because theyre not true. Why do the lies work . When trump voters see donald trump, theyre not
