Good morning, everyone. Im tamron hall coming to you live this morning from our msnbc election headquarters in new york. Bernie sanders and ted cruz are now looking to build on the momentum from their decisive doubledigit wins in wisconsin. Hoping next to upset the frontrunners in their own backyard. That of course is new york, which holds the next big president ial contest april 19th. Then the following week, there are primaries in five more eastern states, also considered to be favorable territory for Hillary Clinton and donald trump. Now, one of those is pennsylvania, where right now, were waiting to see Hillary Clinton address the state aflcio convention in philadelphia. So far, the National Union has wi withheld what is considered to be the biggest prize in labor endorsements. Secretary clinton will also Campaign Today in pittsburgh, where Bernie Sanders will hold an event in philadelphia. Donald trump and Ted Cruz Campaign in new york. Governor john kasich is in ohio, where he is set to deliver his state of the state address. All of this in wake of last night. With our victory tonight in wisconsin, we have now won seven out of eight of the last caucuses and primaries. The facts are pretty clear. We have a path toward victory, a path toward the white house. And on morning joe today, secretary clinton complimented senator sanders on his win. Then had this to say when asked about an issue she raised repeatedly concerning the independent senator from vermont. Is bernie a democrat . Do you consider bernie a democrat . Well, i think he himself doesnt consider himself to be a democrat. And you know, look, hes raised a lot of important issue s that the Democratic Party agrees with, income inequality first and foremost. Its up to the democratic primary voters to make that assessment. In the wake of last night, Bernie Sanders only had a net gain of ten delegates. He still trails secretary clinton by 670 total delegates. On the republican side, so far, ted cruz has picked up 33 delegates in wisconsin to Donald Trumps 3. And trump still has a 239delegate lead. Tonight is a turning point. It is a rallying cry. It is a call from the hardworking men and women of wisconsin to the people of america. We have a choice. A real choice. I am more and more convinced that our campaign is going to earn the 1,237 delegates needed to win the republican nomination. As for the Trump Campaign, it issued a Statement Last night saying, quote, donald j. Trump withstood the onslaught of the establishment yet again. Lying ted cruz had the governor of wisconsin, many conservative talk radio show hosts and the entire Party Apparatus behind him. It went on to say that ted cruz is worse than a puppet. Hes a trojan horse used by the party bosses attempting to steal the nomination from mr. Trump. We have total confidence that mr. Trump will go on to win in new york, where he holds a substantial lead in all the polls and beyond. We have it all covered for you. Our nbc and msnbc kraunlts are standing by. Lets begin with jacob rascon covering the Trump Campaign for us. He joins us from beth page on new yorks long island will trump will hold a rally today. We have not seen anything on social media from donald trump. He didnt do any interviews this morning. Both unusual for him. I think a lot of people, jacob, are processing can trump take a punch and recover, as he did last night . You know, he really wants to reset the momentum here. Its his home state. Hes expected to win big. Hes going back to these very massive venues. We saw him in wisconsin specifically because they wanted to get rid of disruptions inside the venues, they chose small venues. We are, more than 12,000 people fit inside. More than 18,000 tickets have been given out. Behind me, youll see already Trump Supporters showing up. One as early as 7 00, thats 12 hours before the rally actually begins. Then you have protesters. I have reached out to some of the protest groups. There are several of them, immigrants rights groups, womens groups, organized labor groups. And the police have it lined up so the supporters will be in one line, and across had street, the protesters will be in another. Theyll be able to see each other, shout at each other, perhaps, but not be close enough, the police think, to be able to do anything violent, although the commissioner, the acting commissioner said that will not be tolerated. They will be ready to arrest people immediately if they engage in any violent behavior. Whether outside or inside. Well be watching all day. Jacob, thank you very much. Following ted cruzs victory over donald trump in wisconsin, the senator is headed to new york for an event in the bronx in a couple hours. Msnbcs Gabe Gutierrez is in milwaukee with the latest from the cruz campaign. And how they plan to face trump on his home turf here. We saw trumps lead in wisconsin disappear. Huge victory for ted cruz or for the antitrump crowd, depending on how you choose to view it. Whats their strategy here in new york where it could be far more difficult than wisconsin . Yeah, hi, tamron, good morning. Certainly a very difficult road ahead for ted cruz. As you heard in his victory speech last night, hes really, and his surrogates are really painting this as a turning point in this race and saying its a rallying cry. Still, its a very difficult road ahead. He still needs to win 87 of the remaining delegates in this race in order to clinch the nomination outright. The 1237 delegates. Now, moving to new york, a very expensive media market. Should be interesting to see how much his campaign sinks into advertising in the state. His Campaign Says its very confident following the win in wisconsin last night that they raised more than 2 million yesterday alone. And they attribute this to a variety of factors, including a key endorsement of Governor Scott walker who is very popular among republicans in the state. Now, my colleague Hallie Jackson was able to speak with scott walker last night, and she asked him about the specter of he possibly being raised as a president ial candidate, perhaps in the second or third ballot. He basically shot that down. But take a listen to what he had to say. This idea, and it has been floated out there, if there is a contested convention and if its not one of the president ial candidates currently in the race, your name could be tloeb in the race, paul ryan had to deal with the speculation. Is this something you would consider . The bottom line is im 100 behind ted cruz. I didnt come out against anybody. I came out with ted. I put all my supporters behind making a very clear case that ted cruz wasnt a default choice for me. He was the choice for me. Im going to support him not only in the primary. Im going to support him through the convention where hes going to win. So there are still certainly a lot of questions about how ted cruz deals with the difficult map in the coming weeks. Not just new york, but then pennsylvania and also rhode island and connecticut. But again, his Campaign Says this is a game changer, that the momentum has shifted. And tamron, if you remember, ted cruz has been making this argument for the past two months or so that this really has been a twoman race. He made it when he beat donald trump in iowa. His Campaign Says that now, the Republican Party is uniting behind ted cruz. Coalescing behind them. They hope they can ride the momentum right into the convention this summer. Thank you very much. While Hillary Clinton and donald trump remain, of course, the frontrunners for their parties, what do Bernie Sanders and ted cruzs victories in wisconsin mean for what we will watch ahead . Msnbc host and Political CorrespondentSteve Kornacki joins us now to break down the delegate math moving forward. So we can at least temporarily soak these numbers in as they will certainly change very soon. Yeah, so look, on the republican side, the Ted Cruz Campaign, the stoptrump forces are saying that does it. He lost wisconsin last night, trump did. Theres gig to be an open convention. I say thought so fast on that one. Trumps path to 1237, the magic number, took a hit last night, but there is still a chance for him to get there, and the question of how much damage was done, was this only in wisconsin thing or more of a National Turn against trump . Were going to find an answer to that very fast. This is where the republican race stands after wisconsin. Trump at 756. Where is the race going from here . It goes, as we say, to new york. 95 delegates up for grabs. When i say were going to find out fast whether theres been some National Damage to trump, new york is a really good test. His home state. The polls have him over 50 right now. There are 27 congressional dwiths around this state. Each one, if you get more than 50 , you get all the delegates. The expectation going into new york is that donald trump is going to take at least 80 of the 95 delegates from the state. If hes at 80 or above, hes where he should be. If hes under 80 when the results come in from two weeks, then i think we look at it and Say Something bigger really may be happening in the republican race. The next test right after that, a week after new york, the northeast. Again, this is supposed to be trump territory. Delaware, its winner take all. Maryland, you win the district,. Maryland, if he has a good night, he could get 20. Pennsylvania is funny because only 17 of the delegates are actually bound at the national convention. These other 54, theyre free agent delegates. Theyre going to show up at the convention. They could vote for anybody. If donald trump gets the kind of results in the next couple weeks hes supposed to get, he would emerge at the end of april with about 950 delegates. He would open up a bigger lead over ted cruz. And this is what would be left. There certainly would be opportunities on the board for donald trump. You look at a state like west virginia, maybe indiana, and certainly the pacific coast. There would be opportunities for him to get up to 1,237. The path still exists for donald trump after last night. Were going to know in the next two weeks how significant the damage was. All right, steve, let me bring in now syndicated radio host michael medved, and daily beast columnist jonathan alter. Thank you for joining. Lets start off with what we saw. Right now, chuck todd says its about a 70 well see a contested convention with the Republican Party. What do you see here . Well, you know, chuck is really one of the smartest people around on these things. That sounds about right to me. And that favors ted cruz. So to me, the odds are basically about even now between trump and cruz. That trump can, as steve indicated, get to a firstballot victory, but if he loses on that first ballot, if he falls short of 1,237, hes not going to pick up strength on a second ballot. Hes done. However, if ted cruz loses on that first ballot, but trump isnt able to seal it, on a second ballot, cruz will gain strength. So i think youre going to see either a firstballot Trump Victory or a second or thirdballot cruz victory. This paul ryan business that we have been hearing about a lot, it just is seeming less and less plausible. The alternative to donald trump is ted cruz. The republican establishment, large elements of it, maybe not karl rove, but a lot of other people are beginning to solidify around ted cruz, even if they dont like him personally. Michael, let me bring you in. When we look at the exit polling data from wisconsin, 68 of the voters preferred a candidate with political experience. That wend to ted cruz. Ted cruz also got 68 of the voters most concerned about winning in november. 54 of voters who said trade creates u. S. Jobs, donald trump interestingly enough, only got 28 of that group. 52 of voters with incomes over 100,000 a year went to ted cruz. 31 to donald trump. When we hear steve look at the northeast and new york and say this is territory that should be Fertile Ground for donald trump, can we is it fair at this point to say what is trump territory and what is cruz territory anymore . No, absolutely not. And ted cruz demonstrated that in wisconsin. Wisconsin is heavily catholic state. Its not a traditionally evangelical, religious conservative state, the kind of state ted cruz has played well in in the south. This was a huge victory for ted cruz. And tamron, i think this is the most important point. If you see ted cruzs victory Statement Last night, and you look at the way donald trump responded, the reason all of the momentum has shifted is ted cruz is Getting Better as a candidate. He is growing into the role of being a president ial nominee, and ultimately, being a president. Is it that he is growing or donald trump is getting worse . Both. And theres no question, if you look at ted cruzs victory statement in iowa, and you compare it to what we heard last night, he has dropped the sort of preachy, oily televangelist thing he was doing several months ago, and he has become a more effective candidate. Right now, you have four candidates left. Its the same hillary, the same bernie, the same donald. Its a different ted cruz. And thats why the momentum is on his side. One other thing about new york. Nobody is saying it, but its kind of the elephant in the room. New york is the only state in the union, maybe florida, but new york more, where the jewish vote is actually very important. And its even important on the republican side. Because there are a bunch of Orthodox Jewish republicans who are going to vote in this primary. Ted cruz happens to be, if he wins the nomination, hell be the most proisrael major party nominee, maybe ever. And i think hes going to harp on that. I think hes going to surprise a lot of people in new york state. Maybe not win, but make it a lot closer than people are expecting. Let me bring you in to maybe a dose of reality, jonathan. I love having michael and his insight, but many might think that he has a very optimistic view of what ted cruz is putting on the table. And that this victory that we saw for the senator last night really was the antitrump spending of the club for growth, 1 million. Our principles pac, 2 million, and the horrible week that donald trump had. Many people have said all along that its not a candidate who will destroy donald trump. Its donald trump who will destroy donald trump. Hes coming off his worst two weeks. And the other thing is wisconsin is a very unusual state. Its far left and far right. Its the state of joe mccarthy on the right. And fighting bob lufallot who was one of the great progressive senators of the 20th century on the left, who is almost like an earlier version of Bernie Sanders. I think, by the way, ted cruz resembles joe mccarthy. This was a very unusual contest. You had the talk radio hosts who are very powerful in wisconsin. The governor, who is very popular. They were all behind cruz. He will not have that behind him in these other states. But i agree with michael that he has a real shot at the nomination, and i think he will do better in new york than expected. Partly because Familiarity Breeds contempt. In new york, we know donald trump. We have been following him and watching him for many years. Hes more attractive when hes new, like in the rest of the country where theyre just kind of learning about him. We haveen the games hes played. You have seen the reports on the businesses and some of the things that are not been its not like, i dont think there are a whole lot of people who are going to go, hey, donald trump, hes a new yorker. Hes going to have support here and hell do well on long island, staten island, various places upstate. He will likely beat ted cruz in new york, but hes not going to crush him in new york. And he needs to crush him in new york to reach the threshold. Quickly, because this tweet from Lindsay Graham is the tweet everyone says summed up the night last night. Well done, ted cruz. Hopefully tonight is a turning point to deny donald trump 1237 delegates. Wisconsin primary chuck noted its interesting he didnt say congrats, youre on your way to winning the election. Just denying donald trump the number. Thats because Lindsey Graham cant stand either one of them. He said its a difference, pick your poison, poison or get shot. Thats what he said earlier in the campaign. I said the same thing. Early on, i said a choice between ted cruz and donald trump was a choice between a heart attack and cancer. But you know what, the cancer aspect of ted cruz has been healing. I think people really do need to Pay Attention to the changes in the cruz campaign. He has dropped a lot of talk about the washington cartel. Hes in the process of unifying the Republican Party. And this is a party that above Everything Else is eager to win and eager to beat Hillary Clinton. Ted cruz is a plausible candidate against Hillary Clinton. Donald trump is a sure loser, dead man walking. I dont think the Republican Party will choose suicide. Thank you both for your time. And developing now in philadelphia, as i mentioned, Hillary Clinton is set to speak to nearly 700 labor leaders and delegates at pennsylvanias aflcio convention. Well bring you secretary clintons comjts as shouldntoo starts, and ill talk live with Senior Adviser to the clinton campaign, karen finney. Why are you all here . To learn, right . Thats where Hillary Clinton will address labor leaders with a speech at the pennsylvania aflcio convention scheduled for this hour. The national aflcio which comprises dozens of unions representing more than twefl million American Workers have yet to endorse a president ial candidate. Bernie sanders will address the convention tomorrow. Now, clinton speech will be her first public appearance since last nights doubledigit loss in wisconsin, a result that extended sanders winning streak to six straight states. This morning, the former secretary of state pointed to an interview that senator sanders did with the New York Daily News as proof that sanders is not ready for the white house. I think he hadnt done his homework, and he had been talking for more than a year about doing things that he obviously hadnt really studied or understood. And that does raise a lot of questions. Really, what it goes to is for voters to ask themselves, can he deliver what hes talking about . Can he really help people . And joining me now, karen finney, Senior Adviser for the clinton campaign. Thank you so much for joining us. I want to pivot back to a clip we showed earlier from morning joe where secretary clinton questioned whether or not Bernie Sanders is a democrat. We know hes an independent. Senator. But he has been an influential part of legislation for the Democratic Party. Why this argument now about him . I think she was actually responding to a question from joe in all fairness. And just raised the point that he himself has identified as an independent, as a socialist, now a democratic socialist. So i think she was just sort of responding to the question. I will tell you one thing that we have heard from grassroots democrats is a bit of a frustration about, you know, whoever ends up being the nominally of our party has to be someone who is also committed to strengthening our party up and down the ballot because remember, this party is a party of a lot of grassroots people who work very hard year after year, not just, we all kind of focus on the president ial elections, but there are people doing the hard work when comes to mayoral elections, when it comes to state legislative elections. Theres a bit of frustration and people saying we want to make sure youre going to support the party. The New York Times points out sanders and clinton voted the same way 93 of the time in two years they shared in the senate, and he cosponsored 19 pieces of legislation that she introduced while she signed on in support of seven of his bills. Mmhmm. At this point in time, theres only one candidate in the race who is helping to raise money for state parties and for the Democratic National community, and thats Hillary Clinton. So i think theres a couple different ways how you view whether or not someone is supportive of the party. He has caucused with the democrats. Thats obviously been a positive. There are some real differences on some of the pieces of legislation he has supported versus where her support has been. Like when you talk about gun manufacturer liability. But again, i think what the response, i think where she was responded to is what were hearing from grassroots folks who are saying are you going to be someone who is going to help support our efforts to strengthen this party across the country. Its particularly coming out of wisconsin important because there you have a republican governor who has stood against everything democrats have been fighting for. When you think about last night, the big message at least from Bernie Sanders was momentum. Can you deny that he has momentum . Well, he certainly won a number of contests. I remind you in 2008, i believe thensenator obama lost seven of the last nine contests. Now, a twoterm president. So you know, what really, its all about the pledged delegates. And again, part of the reason we feel good about where we are, obviously, we worked hard in wisconsin. Its an important state. Were going to work very hard here in new york. But we maintain a pretty substantial lead in the pledged delegates. We maintain a very substantial lead when it comes to the number of votes, more than 2. 5 million people. So look, i think its about closing senator sanders is going to have to close the gap. In order to do that, he has to win substantially in every single contest coming up. It may be more difficult for him to close the gap or maybe impossible, if you look at the math, but what he can do is continue to bring up some of the issues and weaknesses that were hearing in the exit polls continually, including in wisconsin, where voters listed honesty as a top concern. 82 voted for sanders. Sanders got 81 of the vote, as you well know, 18 to 29yearolds, 71 of the independent vote there. I feel very confident that secretary clinton will do well among young voters and independent voters if she were to be the nominee. I actually think she does better among young voters than is traditionally reported. There are plenty of places, College Towns shes won in various states. Also on the honest and trustworthiness question, when you have had billions and billions of dollars spent against you over how many years, you know, and all these sort of innuendos and falsehoods out there about you, youre going to see that. But at the same time, shes been winning in contests, and i think when you have someone like joe abramson, the former editor of the New York Times saying shes truthful. When you have plit ofact saying shes been the most truthful in this campaign, i think thats important to note. Karen finney, thank you so much for joining me. Appreciate having you. Coming up, the daughter of a sandy hook victim slamming Bernie Sanders for supporting legislation that keeps gun victims from suing weapons makers. Its actually the front page of one of the big newspapers here in new york. Ill talk with a surrogate from the sanders campaign, former ohio state senator, nina turner. Well be right back. And i dont want her to get more nervous. But i believe weve got an excellent chance to win new york and a lot of delegates in that state. That was, of course, senator Bernie Sanders telling supporters last night he can turn the momentum from wisconsin into another win in new york. This morning, sanders still trailed Hillary Clinton by a wide margin in the delegate count. Hes down over 600 delegates overall. Senator sanders is also facing this headline on the front page of todays New York Daily News. Quote, bernies sandy hook shame. Slamming sanders for opposing victims of sandy hook families from suing gun manufacturers. A daughter of one of the victims of the sandy hook shooting, whose mother was the principal at sandy hook tweeted, shame on you, Bernie Sanders. Try living one our of our lives. Love the sandy hook principals daughter. Joining me now, nina turner who has endorsed and campaigned for senator sanders. Thank you for joining us again. Thanks, tamron. So, Bernie Sanders said about the daily news, he says do i think the victims of a crime with a gun should be able to sue the manufacturer . Is that your question . No, i dont. He then went on to say, but i do believe gun manufacturers and gun dealers should be sues when they know the guns are going into the hands of wrong people. Is that enough of a clarification on this in your opinion as a supporter, but also obviously as someone who has advocated for stricter gun laws and some changes to save lives potentially in this country . Well, tamron, i certainly was not in the room, and im not sure if that newspaper took senator sander comments out of context. He is a father. He is a grandfather. He does have empathy, you know, our hearts go out to the victims of sandy hook. Not just the parents and the grandparents, but that city and our nation. And certainly, senator sanders has been fighting his entire political career. He believes the best way to deal with these things is to ban assault weapons, period. We still have a long way to go in doing that in this country. So for anybody who assert, and im not talking im talking about the newspaper, because the families feelings are their feelings and nobody can debate that. But i believe that once they get to understand how the senator feels about these issues, that he will know that he does stand with them. The vote he has taken in the past had more to do with individual Small Business owners in his state of vermont. And has nothing to do with how he feels about getting those types of weapons off the streets. Looking at the delegates math right now, senator sanders needs 67 of the remaining delegates to hit 2,383, the number needed. It would be obviously incredible for him to reach that number. What is the strategy moving ahead . Its one thing to have momentum. Its another to have math here. And when we look at some of the polling ahead, its not a path that is clear anyway where he can get 67 of the remaining delegates. Well, tamron, he has the momentum. We will get the math. We are gaining on the secretary. Can we just have a moment, just a pause to say how incredible last night was for senator sanders . That he has won seven out of the last eight contests including americans who have voted abroad. Im trying to understand what senator sanders has to do to just have a moment of victory. Does he have to leap buildings in a single bound just to get people to recognize he has to get closer to 2383 than secretary clinton. But tamron were not going to dedicate an entire hour, but in this hour we have multiple times mentioned and highlighted where he did better with her, where the voters felt he was more trustworthy, a number of the exit poll information highly favorable to senator sanders we have presented. As you know, wisconsin is not the end of the show. That is not when the lady sings. We have new york, we have other states that need to vote. So the question is, whats the strategy . You cant just keep looking back. You have to look tforward, righ . We are, and he will. Every state he wins. Theres always a but. Every time he is successful, theres always a but. There is only about a 245delegate pledged delegate difference between senator sanders and secretary clinton. Not counting the superdelegates. And the superdelegates dont even vote until the convention day, tamron. So its important for your viewers to know they can change their mind at any moment. 245 is the number that separates senator sanders from secretary clinton. And we are going all the way to the convention, tamron. Were going to do this thing. How convinced are you he can get some of these superdelegates who are party loyalists, who have had a relationship with the clintons, who had a relationship with the obama administration, and see her as a continuation of the obama administration, far more than senator sanders . How does he get the superdelegates who are essentially lined up on paper to be loyal for Hillary Clinton . Well, all of the superdelegates are not pledged. Theres still quite a few left out there, as you know. It would be my hope in the states he has won that the superdelegates will go along with the will of their people. And tamron, we keep talking about party. Party affiliation is good. But what is most important in this condition that we are in, in this country right now, is voting for the interests of the american people. The downtrodden, the people looking for leaders to stand up with them. You know, shakespeare once said whats in a name, a rose by any other name smells just as sweet. I know the clintons are trying to throw stuff at the wall, seeing if its going to stick, whether or not senator sanders is a loyal democrat or not, when he was voting with them over 98 of the time, they didnt have a problem with that. When he was the chairman of the veteran affairs committee, they didnt have a problem. The fact of the matter is senator sanders is a strong committed social democrat who believes in lifting the people. That is his message. And he has the best vision to take this country forward. And adhere to the values of the Democratic Party. He is living it. Hes the personification of it through his lifes work. Well see what happens next in new york, his home state. Nina turner, thank you so much. Greatly appreciate you joining us. Coming up, does donald trump have a plan in place to fight for delegates. Ill talk live with a Senior Adviser with the Trump Campaign about whats next. We won in really a landslide, chris, and we feel really good about this. I think im going to do great in wisconsin. I think the results will surprise you. That was donald trump talking to nbc news yesterday, our own chris jansing, suggesting he could pull off a surprise win in wisconsin. As we know, that did not happen. Trump is moving past the loss, and on to new york, where he is stepping back on the trail with a rally tonight on long island. His team is also moving on by setting a new course that will include dispatching advisers to state conventions to secure more delegates. Its an aspect of the race where he lost significant ground to ted cruz. In facts, just this morning, the denver post is reporting that senator cruz is expected to pick up more delegates when colorado holds its state convention this weekend. Amid all of this, there are reports that there are big changes in the campaign, and that there may be infighting, and joining me now, barry bennett, Senior Adviser to the Trump Campaign. Thanks for joining me. No problem. Thanks for having me. I know you have seen the articles by now claiming theres infighting in the campaign. You have been mentioned in one of the articles as a new influential hire to help Trumps Campaign move forward. Are all of the claims that theres something going on somewhat of a meltdown, is that true . No. I mean, i know that i only believe half of what i read. Sometimes its hard to take which halfering but this is not true. Behind the scenes, again, im doing to read, more specifically, theyre saying the infighting to preserve his own power right now is the struggle of the campaign manager, corey lewandowski. They said hes tried to box out a number of people. Theres also a report regarding some of the hires that have been laid off and that the leader of the data team was replaced and it seems that a lot of this information, the campaign has gathered, is no longer accessible because a new hire was not properly put in place. Again, not having this information needed to move forward. I mean, certainly as we move from state to state, some people go with us, some people dont. Some people have families and they dont want to leave the state. As far as the data team goes, you know, i never lost any access to my data. I dont know what these people are talking about. You know, we had very low expectations of wisconsin. I never had a delegate, i never expected us to win a delegate in wisconsin on my board in my office. And we won six, which is great. We also won, no one wants to talk about this, but we won 61 of the counties in wisconsin. We just lost the milwaukee suburbs where the republican machine lives big time. Nevertheless, you had your candidate saying we would see a big surprise. What was the big surprise that he was touting . Well, i mean, every candidate says theyre going to win right up until the last minute. Im telling you that inside the campaign, we knew what the reality was. In the Statement Last night released from the campaign, it says that senator cruz coordinated with his own super pac, which is illegal, who totally control him. Can you give us specifics as to what proof you have that senator cruz coordinated with these super pacs . They set up an event paid for by the super pac, and he comes and gives a speech. Thats total coordination. They then film it and turn it into commercials. I mean, this is a problem we have with super pacs right now, Campaign Finance laws in general. But as, you know, what used to be a black and white line between the super pac and the campaign is totally merging into some kind of fuzzy middle. Its got to be stopped. Speaking of gotta be stopped, some people see that wisconsin is a victory for senator cruz or a major victory for the stop Trump Campaign. When you see the numbers now, our own Steve Kornacki pointed out it would take somewhere around 58 of the remaining votes for donald trump to reach the necessary delegates. When you look ahead, are you prepared now for a contested convention . Do you believe that this is where your team is headed . I dont. Theres a major difference between the republican primaries and the democrat ones. In the republican primaries. Its winner take all. So all that means is we have to win 57 of the states that are left. Which well easily do. You look at next up is new york, were winning 56 to 20 . Then pennsylvania, winning 48 to 30 . You know, then all these northeastern states. Were going to do very well. Were going to start racking up a lot of delegates in the winnertakealls. Fortunately for ted cruz, he let Governor Walker and his team and the establishment enter his campaign, he became a trojan horse for them, if you will. But unfortunately for cruz, there are no scott walkers left. Hes thebust, by far the best. Hes not going to run into that anyplace else. Reality is reality. Like i said, we won 61 of the counties. We just didnt win the scott walker machine counties. Thank you soy much for your time. Well see what happens next in the campaign, but certainly, the northeast will be critical for both senator cruz and donald trump. Barry bennett, thank you so much for your time. Thank you. Were going home. Hillary clinton is about to speak any minute now from pennsylvania, at the aflcio meeting. You see her there sitting on the stage. I want to send you to philadelphia where Hillary Clinton is speaking at the states aflcio convention. Families are strong and america is strong and thats exactly the message we have to take to the country so it is especially timely to be here in philadelphia especially this week. It has been one wild election year. Were looking forward to an exciting and successful primary here on april 26th. But every time i think politics has a lot of drama something happens like that villanova game at the end. Bill and i both got home and watching it sitting on the edge of our seats it was so exciting it nearly made my husband forget and forgive villanova for beating his alma mater georgetown back in 1985. But i love those come from behind victories. I understand you are going to have a parade for the team and that is incredibly fitting and i hope that the weather is good because they deserve all the accolades that you can give them. Some of you know pennsylvania has always been a special place for me. My grand father and his family arrived as immigrants to scranton, pennsylvania back in the late 1880s. And my grand father worked at the scranton lace mills for 50 years. Thats where my dad and my brothers and i spent a lot of wonderful time there. My grand father lived in a duplex in scranton on diamond avenue. We went to the port Street Methodist Church he built with his own hands with the help of his friends and others a cottage. So we spent a lot of time driving around pennsylvania because we took every route we could imagine coming from chicago which is where i was born and where my family lived. A lot of those experiences really embedded deep in my heart, how to respect the dignity of hard work. And if you do your part you and your family should be able to get ahead and stay ahead. That to me is the promise of america. It kept my grand father working in the mills every day, day after day, year after year until he retired at the age of 65. He was so proud of the work he did and the people around him were proud of it, too. People who made things were given respect and dignity. We got to get back to doing that. My dad started his own Small Business but we worked in it. He printed drapery fabrics and big long tables and a little print plant. And my mother, my brothers and i would show up and we would help move the squeegee across the silk screen to put the paint on the fabric. So i grew up believing in and honoring hard work. It provided us with a good middle class life and it is what has inspired generations of Union Members to organize, to bargain, to march and strike for fair pay, decent working conditions, a voice on the job. I think thats in part what is at stake in this election. We have other candidates talking about building walls and pitting americans against each other, right . My campaign is about breaking down all the Barriers Holding working families back [ applause ] my campaign is about building again those ladders of opportunity and empowerment so people can claim their own piece of the american dream. They can realize the promise of america. Imagine with me a tomorrow where every child in this country has the opportunity to live up to his or her god given potential no matter where they are from or what they look like. We are listening to secretary clinton at the states aflcio convention in philadelphia. Bernie sanders will address this same group tomorrow, the 700 labor leaders and delegates have gathered for the threeday conference and so far the National Leadership has not endorsed a candidate. We will continue to follow her remarks and bring you the latest. Thank you for joining us for this hour. Well see you tomorrow. Andrea mitchell reports is next. And if you have afib an irregular heartbeat that may put you at five times greater risk of stroke they can pool together in the heart, forming a clot that can break free, and travel upstream to the brain where it can block blood flow and cause a stroke. But if you have afib thats not caused by a heart valve problem, pradaxa can help stop clots from forming. Pradaxa was even proven superior to warfarin at reducing the risk of stroke, in a Clinical Trial without the need for regular blood tests. And, in the rare event of an emergency, pradaxa is the only oral blood thinner other than warfarin with a specific reversal treatment to help your body clot normally again. Pradaxa is not for people who have had a heart valve replacement. Dont stop taking pradaxa without talking to your doctor. Stopping increases your risk of stroke or blood clots. Ask your doctor if you need to stop pradaxa before any planned medical or dental procedure. Pradaxa can cause serious, and sometimes, fatal bleeding. Dont take pradaxa if you have abnormal bleeding. And seek immediate medical care for unexpected signs of bleeding, like unusual bruising. Pradaxa may increase your bleeding risk if youre 75 or older, have kidney problems, stomach ulcers, a bleeding condition, or take certain medicines. Side effects with pradaxa can include indigestion, stomach pain, upset or burning. Dont just go with the flow. Go with pradaxa, the only blood thinner that lowers your risk of stroke better than warfarin and has a specific reversal treatment. Talk to your doctor about pradaxa today. I think he hadnt done his homework and had been talk frg more than a year about doing things that he obviously hadnt really studied or understood and that does raise a lot of questions. Trumping trump. Ted cruz puts a dent in the billionaires armor setting the stage for what could be that contested convention. Tonight is a turning point. It is a rallying cry. It is a call from the hard working men and women of wisconsin to the people of america. We have a choice, a real choice. And home field advantage. Can bernie lay claim to the empire state .
