Here the current quota set by congress on immigrant detention is 40,520. As of sunday, it is 48,747 in i. C. E. Custody. Most people i found in line are not from el paso. They driven from other parts of texas, new mexico or other near by state to be here, some driven as far as 9 hours. One man we spoke to, yes, i recognize there is hardship putting on hes someone that grew up here and he had seen benefits of the wall here in el paso. If it comes to shutting down the government, theyre all for it. They agree with the idea of the wall and willing to shutdown the government for it. These rallies are to speak to his base and let them know even if el paso is not a trump friendly place, hell still get people show up there for him whether they are driving hours away or people here in texas who wants to see the wall built.
