Moms, dads, sons and daughters, those killed range in age from just 5 to 72. At least 12 of the dead are children. We are now learning that many of them were from the same family. A vigil here overnight in a closeknit town of just a few hundred people. Msnbcs marianna ate nrncio is e with me. Shock here as i talk to people. Reporter this entire town is at a standstill. I was talking to locals who are in shock at how meticulously the suspected shooter planned this out. The fact that he was wearing tactical gear. The fact that he had multiple weapons in his vehicle. And they were shot, n shocked at what happened here, but what could have happened if he had been stopped by what many are calling good samaritans. The latest here on the ground, i just spoke to Wilson County sheriff joe tackitt who said that 12 children have died here when devin kelley opened fire here. 12 children are among the deceased. And he told me that the suspects estranged wife as well as her parents have attended this church in the past, but they werent locals here or were not really known to locals here in the area. Also, ali, we have been learning in the past couple of hours that this is a church where the pastor used to record the sunday services to post on youtube. I asked the sheriff about that, if there was a recording meant for youtube that they could look at, and he said, they had looked at it already, but that it was very short and did not reveal much. What are the next steps in the investigation . Its really the active scene that youre seeing behind me, local Law Enforcement here, fbi agents, atf agents on the ground, they are going to comb through this church behind me, the inside, the outside, to really look at shell casings. They still dont know how many rounds devin kelley fired. Y need to look at every single thing inside that church, including bodies. The sheriff told me that many bodies were removed last night, but others were still set to be removed this morning. And he believes that that could still be happening as we speak. So he couldnt really confirm to me that there were still no bodies at this active crime scene behind me. And again, it is up to Law Enforcement now, and to locals who might have known the inlaws or the estranged wife, to really piece together the motive as to why this man, this 26yearold former army veteran, would have committed such a horrific act here in this small texas town. Ali . Yes, so were looking for motive. Were looking for how he got his hands on a gun when the governor of texas said this morning on texas, that his bad conduct discharge from the air force three years ago should have prevented that. Well stay on all the angles of the investigation. Mariana, thanks. Be with you in just a bit. This morning we are learning more about the man behind the carnage. Justice correspondent Pete Williams is digging into that side of things from the washington bureau. Pete, what do we know . Well, they still havent searched his house, ali. They are hoping that will provide more insight into why he did this. But he does appear to be a person who had a violent and troubled past. We know hes 26 from comal county, texas. Served in the air force, but was discharged after he was courtmartialed, accused of assaulting his wife and child. He was given a bad conduct discharge. That by itself, the bad conduct discharge by itself, would not be a disqualifying factor. But the two things about his military discharge, that do appear to be relevant are, Domestic Violence conviction and the fact that he served 12 months in detention, which would be the military equivalent of a felony. Now, those are two factors that disqualify someone from buying or possessing a handgun under federal law. Even a misdemeanor conviction or a felony conviction. The only direct reference to military discharges in the federal law is dishonorable discharge. Thats disqualifying factor. His was a bad conduct discharge, but the other factors about it would appear to be disqualifying factors. So the question is, did the air force report those things to the system, were they checked when he went to get his gun . The gun store has acknowledged that he bought it last year at a gun store in san antonio. So that is one question. The governor has said he didnt have a handgun or a firearms permit in texas, but thats more or less besides the point. Thats the kind of thing you need to have if youre going to carry the gun. Were talking under state law. Theres no requirement under state law to get a permit to buy a gun. So were talking strictly about federal law here. Married twice, divorced once, but many people who knew him say that he had a violent troubled character, ali. Pete, i want to be clear, the bad conduct discharge different from a dishonorable discharge, the bad conduct discharge on its own wouldnt have precluded him from buying a gun. It was what that bad conduct discharge was for, the Domestic Violence. Reporter yes, thats one. And two, the fact that he was sentenced to serve 12 months in military detention, which would be the military equivalent of a felony. So those two factors, more than the discharge, would be the disqualifying reasons. And the road were going down now is to investigate why the gun shop in san antonio that sold him the gun last year wouldnt have had that information to disqualify him from buying that gun. And the possibility here is that that information didnt get from the air force to the system that the gun shop would have used. Reporter right. So just to put a slightly finer point on it, the gun store that appeared to be an illegal sale from the gun stores perspective, they would have used the national checks system administered by the fbi. And apparently from all the information we have, there was no it was not the fbi did not return it as a disqualified purchase. So was the record not in there . Or if it was, was it not checked when the fbi did the background check . Thats the question. All right, pete, thank you very much. Well get to the bottom with you. Pete williams is here. Katie beck is at University Hospital in san antonio where many of the victims remain this morning. Katie, i want to give our viewers a sense of this, we are not very far from san antonio, but this is a town that at best has 600 people in it. There are no major hospitals that can deal with that level of trauma around here. San antonio is quite a drive from here, but thats where they would have had to have gone. Reporter this is the level one trauma center. We are getting an update on the patients here at the hospital. We have learned five patients are still being treated, three of them are children and all are in serious or critical condition. Sadly, we have also learned that one patient, one child patient was unable to be saved last night. A child died after being transported here to the hospital. Another story that were following here at the hospital is of a 5yearold child who was shot five times. Ryland ward was brought here last night, sent immediately into emergency surgery. He was apparently attending that Church Service with his stepmom and two stepsisters. He was brought into emergency surgery last night. And we are told by his aunt as of 7 30 this morning that hes thankfully in stable condition. So that is one miraculous story we are hearing right now, but obviously, five more still being treated here in serious and critical condition. So this is a dire situation for these trauma teams who have been working overnight trying to treat these victims as quickly as they can, because the injuries are so severe. Nine were transported here initially. We are now down to five. Ali . All right. About 14 of the victims now, we believe, were kids. By ambulance, the drive from where i am to where you are, katie, would have been about 40 minutes, i think. Reporter right. And as i said, this is the up regions level one trauma center. I think they probably have the best resources here, especially dealing with pediatrics. These were small children, four of those nine were children. Last night, one of them, unfortunately, was unable to be saved. A very sad day. Katie, well keep checking in with you. Obviously, our hearts and prayers are with those still struggling to save their lives in san antonio. President trump monitoring and commenting on the texas shooting from overseas where hes visiting with asian leaders. Msnbcs senior corp spon respon traveling with the president in tokyo. Chris, what did the president say . Reporter well, a complete and total and unequivocal rejection of tighter gun control. The president who wanted to be focusing on the two key issues here, which are trade and the threat posed by north korea, instead first thing in the morning, talked about how americans should join hands and lock arms. And then later at a joint press conference that happened overnight east coast time, he talked about what he thinks happened. Lets listen to the president. I think that Mental Health is a problem here, this was a very, based on preliminary reports, a very deranged individual, over a long period of time. We have a lot of Mental Health issues in our country, as do other countries, but this is not a guns situation. I mean, we could go into it, but its a little bit soon to go into it. But fortunately, somebody else had a gun that was shooting in the opposite direction. Otherwise it would have been as bad as it was, it would have been much worse. But this is a Mental Health problem at the highest level. Its a very, very sad event. Its a these are great people. And a very, very sad event. But that is the way i view it. Reporter it is hard to ignore the president s reaction to this from last week when the man from uzbekistan here legally from a visa drove a truck onto the west side highway in new york city. He immediately called for stepping up extreme vetting. And also for an elimination of the program, a review of the program, by which he got here. When 59 people were killed in las vegas and more than 500 injured, he said, this was a very sick and deranged person. And very similar comments yesterday. We have originally heard very quick pushback from people like chris murphy from connecticut where children were killed in the shooting there. He said, no one is safe. Well, this morning, kellyanne conway, the president s counselor, said democrats have been rushing to judgment. That they are politicizing it. In fact, it is disrespectful to the dead to bring up the politics of this. But the president in raising at least the Mental Health issue, that raises the question in so many of these Mass Shootings in the past. Theres been conversations about whether or not we need to restrict access by the mentally ill to guns. Nothing has change in the course of modern history in terms of gun control. One final thing is that the president heads to south korea. This is a part of the world, as you know, ali, where they are incredibly tight with restrictions on guns. And they have very low homicide rates by guns. So even as Prime Minister abe here was offering his condolences, there is confusion about the United States, its policies that continue to see so many people get killed in these situations. Ali . Chris jansing, thank you very much. Chris jansing for us in tokyo. Worth noting, regardless of whether you think this is a Mental Health issue or not, President Trump did actually reverse an obamaera regulation that would have made it harder for people with Mental Health issues to get guns. With us the former fbi profiler, msnbc contributor, clint van zandt. Clint, let me just ask you this, theres real legitimate is i to discuss people with guns, getting guns, the distance we have to go in this country to be better about recognizing and treating Mental Health issues. But sometimes, sometimes in the immediate wake of these Mass Shootings, it feels like a thing to hide behind. Before we know anything, before we have any history of a persons evaluations from a Mental Health perspective, there are people who say its a Mental Health issue, which is why we dont have to talk about gun control. Well, we have to talk about it all, ali. Number one, last year there were 27 million guns sold legally in the United States. 27 million guns went from a store to the hands of a private individual, to include this shooter. And i think President Trump is wrong in this. Of course its guns. We have seen the best and the worst of private gun ownership. We saw this individual use a weapon and commit this mass murder in charge with a gun ownership that, i think, he should have been qualified for. He was sentenced to one year in jail for an offense. It was Domestic Violence. He never should have, in my eyes, been able to have a gun. And yet, heres a private citizen who legally owned a gun who intervened. The best and the worst possible situation. But it is about guns, its about bullets, its about magazines. Its about Mental Health. We cant exclude one and not talk about the other. So now, clint, as a profiler, it would be a cheat for you to see, well, it is just somebody who is mentally ill because youve got to figure out, and weve got to figure out as a society, to prevent these things from happening, what motivates these individuals. And whether or not you have a Mental Health illness or you dont, there are motivating factors that would cause you to go in and shoot up a church. One that has a Mental Illness, and we dont know devin kelley does. One with a Mental Illness is not a reason to shoot other people. And the question is, who is going to diagnose the Mental Illness . Where do we draw the line that says, this illness keeps you from owning a gun. The other illness doesnt. And how hard is it to buy a gun . Guns transfer on the street between individuals on a daily basis. It is interesting, this shooter and the las vegas shooter both legally purchased their guns. How about the guy in las vegas who bought 33 guns. This will drive the National Rifle association nuts, but shouldnt we have the ability to say, this person purchased x number of guns, and x number of months. Maybe somebody aught to talk to him and see if hes a collector and planning to take over the country. By history, we do know theres a Domestic Abuse in the history, theres a bad conduct discharge from the military. What are we looking for here . What stands out based on what you know about the profile of the shooter . Well, you know, 20 20 hindsight, you look at a guy like this, hes in the military, he cant cut it. Hes an abuser of his wife at the time and a child, which, you know, should stop him from a lot of things. He serves a year in jail. He has some job challenges, hes been through a number of situations. And yet, he just like the shooter at the aurora, colorado, movie theater, is kind of a wanna be. He goes out to buy tactical clothing, firearms, multiple magazines and fires hundreds of rounds at this time. And what he knows to be an Innocent Group of people. This is somebody in his ill give it that hes got a challenged mind, because you and i wouldnt do Something Like this, but this guy in a fantasy sees himself as some type of a warrior. Hes going out, hes accumulating all the grievances in his life. And now hes going to go act out against society. But where does he choose to do it . In a house of worship, which is linked to his wife and his motherinlaw. But secondly, he does it in an environment where he doesnt think in his fantasy mind, he may be a warrior, but theres nobody to fire back. The first person to fight back, this guy cuts and runs. But this is the same were seeing the same thing over and over witness different pictures, but the same type of mentality. People using violence as a mean for conflict resolution. Instead of taking responsibility for their own issues in life. And noteworthy, we are learning 12 of the victims were children. Thank you very much, clint van zandt. Coming up, we are learning more about the victims in sutherland springs. I just spoke to woman in that piece who says her 5yearold grandson, the one shot five times, is heading back into surgery. So this is something were still trying to get the full scope of, certainly for this community, it is absolutely devastating. There are reports that one family, extended family, had eight People Killed. Reporter i saw that. This is the type of community that is very small, very tightknit. Everybody youre talking to this morning, they dont really have a set of responses. And this is texas, where everybody sort of has something to say, everybody is warm, but they dont know how they are supposed to react. Reporter several hundred people in this town. You think about it, 26 people, 26 People Killed in this town. It is just absolutely unimaginable. And the question is that we hear over and over again is, why . Why would people do this on a sunday when people were praying . It is hard to fathom. Reporter thank you for doing that, gabe. I appreciate it. Accused of obstructing justice to theat the fbinuclear war, and of violating the constitution by taking money from foreign governments and threatening to shut down news organizations that report the truth. If that isnt a case for impeaching and removing a dangerous president , then what has our government become . Im tom steyer, and like you, im a citizen who knows its up to us to do something. Its why im funding this effort to raise our voices together and demand that elected officials take a stand on impeachment. A Republican Congress once impeached a president for far less. Yet today people in congress and his own administration know that this president is a clear and present danger whos mentally unstable and armed with nuclear weapons. And they do nothing. Join us and tell your member of congress that they have a moral responsibility to stop doing whats political and start doing whats right. Our country depends on it. Back now with your headlines, Paul Manafort and bill gates are on house arrest after last week a judge decided they were a flight risk. And a source tells nbc news that special Counsel Robert Mueller has enough evidence to bring charges in the evidence of former National Security adviser mike flynn and his son. Three sources familiar with the investigation say investigators are speaking to multiple witnesses in coming days to gain more information surrounding flynns lobby work, including whether he laundered money or lied to federal agents about his overseas contacts. Flynn was one of the first Trump Associates to come under scrutiny for possible collusion between the Trump Campaign and russia. Lawyers for flynn and his son declined to comment to nbc news. Muellers spoke person and white house lawyer also had no comment. And senator rand paul broke five ribs after being attacked by a neighbor friday at his home in kentucky. These injuries are worse than initially reported. It is unclear how soon the kentucky senator will return to work. Pauls attacker was arrested and charged with fourthdegree assault. And later today, the president will travel to seoul, south korea, the next stop on the fivenation trip through asia. Hallie jackson is in tokyo with more on that. Hey, hallie. Reporter hey, ali, good morning from tokyo where it is evening, of course. Next up for President Trump, seoul, south korea. That is where he will head for a bilateral meeting and then a joint News Conference later on in the day. Round two for him after, of course, that oneonone with the japanese Prime Minister shinzo abe. I think it was noticeable from here on the ground in tokyo was the warm relationship between these two, thats what they wanted to convey there. You heard each leader refer to the other by the first name frequently. They had moments including with their first ladies where they were together having these interpersonal relationships. From the policy perspective, these are the headlines. You talk about north korea, japan made no secret of the fact that it is 100 as abe said, 100 on the same page as the United States. The president , donald trump, defended his tough rhetoric. That kind of fire and fury language against north korea, saying that, hey, decades of weak rhetoric havent really done much to change the situation with north korea. He talked about doing military deals with japan for their selfdefense. And repeatedly invoked his concerns about trade. Earlier in the trip, talking about the trade imbalance. You need to put pressure on abe, but still, it was not enough to overturn their relationship, if you will, but it was a sign that perhaps while they are on the same page with north korea, not so much when it comes to these kinds of trade deals that trump would like to see. The big headline of this trip is going to come in just a few days when the president heads to china. That is going to be a critical point for him, because while japan and south korea are, of course, allies in the fight against north korea, its a very different situation with china. Its a highpressure situation for the president who is already now on the second or third day of his trip. Lots to watch from here in asia and well watch it over the next 10 to 12 days or so. Ali, back to you. Reporter hallie jackson, thank you. Joining me is a democrat from california and vice Ranking Member of the House Foreign Affairs committee, congressman vera, thank you for joining us. What do you make of this now . You met with the Prime Minister of japan and the new president of south korea. What is it that you think is the best thing for the president to do while hes there . You know, i was with Prime Minister abe last monday, and one, im not used to praising President Trump, but kudos to him for starting the trip off in japan and korea. Its important to show our allies that we stand with them. I think the Prime Minister abe and the president have a pretty warm relationship. I guess im going to praise President Trump the second time. He pushed for the japanese to build their cars in america. And when i met with the Prime Minister, met with business leaders, they are trying to do that. So lets continue to push that investment in america. But lets also show no distance between us and our allies in japan and south korea. Reporter congressman, when the president meets with the, when the president meets with the president of south korea, there is an interesting matter here that the president of south korea has been has said that there should be dialogue with north korea, increasingly, President Trumps rhetoric seems to be more threatening and more ominous. How are they going to reconcile this . Because ultimately, japan, south korea and the United States cannot have differing approaches to how they are going to deal with north korea. Ali, i couldnt agree with you more. We all have to be on the same page. Our strategy is to increase pressure on north korea, isolate north korea, get the chinese to weigh in on secondary sanctions and crackdown on companies doing business with north korea. But the ultimate goal is not to go to war. Its to find a diplomatic solution and get the north koreans to the table. So lets continue working with our south korean allies. We should be consulting the Prime Minister abe. But the goal is to get north korea to the table. And north korea needs to understand theres not a military option for them. Reporter to some degree, congressman, the folks in south korea understand that this doesnt have to escalate to nuclear war levels for this to be entirely devastating to the 25 Million People who live in seoul, and frankly, the folks in japan unction that, too. At what point do we focus our attention or deescalation that we are not weary of the fact that traditional artillerystyle and air war between north korea or anywhere on the Korean Peninsula is going to be devastating to our allies and by the way the 100,000 americans or so we have in south korea . Well, the goal is to have a nuclearfree peninsula, but you hit the nail on the head, ali. The artillery that north korea already possesses, if we go to war with north korea, you know, tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people in seoul and tokyo could lose their lives. Just using basic artillery. So again, theres not a good military option here. If we do have to go to war and defend our allies, defend our own territory, well do that. But the goal has to be to find a diplomatic solution, get people to the table and deescalate things. And again, if you have been to the dnc, seoul is only 30 miles from the dmc, so you are not talking about this great distance, youre talking about tens of thousands of people dying immediately. And that shouldnt be acceptable in the 201st century. 21st century. Reporter congressman, i have never seen a leadup to conflict or potential conflict where ive heard the president so far at odds with his secretary of state. What do the you make of this . The secretary tillerson continues to embrace, as does secretary mattis, the idea of some sort of meaningful dialogue or a deal. We know theres a lot of head room still because we have not done everything we can with china with respect to north korea. And yet the president continues to push forward a different message. What do you think of this . Well, i would tell the president to put away the twitter account and then calling kim jongun little rocket man isnt going to help them come to the table. Talking about the fire and fury isnt going to help them come to the table. So our strategy, which were working with the state department, working with our allies on, increasing pressure, increasing sanctions, isolating north korea, to get them to the diplomatic table is the right strategy. And, you know, if the north koreans are watching, you aught to take that strategy. Because north korea, you dont have a military solution here. You know, lets deescalate this, lets get china to the table as well and lets find a path forward. Reporter congressman ari bera, good to talk to you, thank you for joining us. Congressman ari bera. Coming up, we are live in sutherland springs, texas. Well bring you an update on the victims still in the hospital. For your heart. Your joints. Or your digestion. Where a 26yearold man opened fire on men, women and children ranging in age from 5 to 72 years of age. Thats their ages. I want to repeat that, these victims are as young as 5 years old. 12 to 14 of the dead are children. They were found inside the church. Many of those who died were members of the same family. The shooter, for reasons still unknown, fired bullets into his victims using a semiautomatic ruger assault rifle, similar to the one seen on your screen. Were learning more about the shooter who was found dead in his vehicle within minutes of the devastating shooting. Mariana atencio is with me with more on this. What have you got . Reporter well, ali, Law Enforcement, atf, fbi, they are really looking to put together the pieces of Devin Kelleys life to understand what could have possibly driven him to commit this massacre. This is what we know about the suspected gunman at this point. We know that hes former air force. He was dishonorably discharged. He was courtmartialed in 2012. There was a case of assault against his spouse and child at the time. When he received this dishonorable discharge, he received confinement for 12 months and his rank was lowered to e1, which is the lowest rank in the air force. Law enforcement also believe that he was married twice. There is hes filing for divorce in new mexico in 2012. But they are also looking at former girlfriends, and what they may have to say about this suspected shooter to understand his psyche. And, in fact, our nbc News Social Team was able to speak to one alleged former girlfriend of the suspected shooter. Her name is britney athawk. She dated him at 13 years of age. And devin kelley was 18 years of age. She said in retrospect, that age difference at that time did, you know, does raise some eyebrows. And this is what she said about him. She said, there has been a point in which i called the police because he was just calling me so much that i wanted to report this harassment. This was posted on facebook. And this was an interview conducted by our nbc News Social Team. In addition to that, nbc news was able to speak to another alleged former girlfriend of the suspected shooter, a woman by the name of katie landrey. And she said, i feel like devin has finally been exposed like i wanted. He wasnt just a shooter, he was an abuser, assaulter, child abuser, stalker and straightup sick. She met devin at a church and that he was, quote, very religious. This, of course, knowing that he chose this church, the First Baptist church here in sutherland springs, texas, to commit this massacre. And again, Law Enforcement looking at everything to try to understand what was behind the deadliest mass shooting at a house of worship in the nation. Ali . Reporter mariana, thank you very much. Well be together all day covering this story. Mariana atencia on the seen with me. So many victims died before ever making it to the hospital. Some are still fighting far their lives. Katie beck is live outside san antonio University Hospital where she joins me from now. Katie . Reporter ali, so many family members clinging to hope this morning as those shooting victims remain hospitalized. Trauma teams through the night here have been trying to save those victims. Sadly, we learned this morning that one of them was unable to be saved. A child died here at the hospital last night. As for the current numbers and the hospitalized victims, we know there are five still hospitalized here in either serious or critical condition. And three of those five are children. You mentioned that the youngest child involved in the shooting was 5 years old. We know ryland ward was transported here last night after being shot five times. Taken into emergency surgery. His family has told us this morning that he was in stable condition, but later told us he was headed back to surgery. So obviously, these family members just holding on to hope and clinging to their faith that these victims will make it through. We also know that the hospital is currently conducting a blood drive that is happening in the lobby of the hospital. It started at 8 00 a. M. This morning. They are asking anyone in the public that feels they could be the donor to show up and give blood to these victims. This will be going on throughout the day here at the hospital. And we are expected to have a press conference later this afternoon where we hear from a surgery who has been treating these children. And we expect more details and updates at that time. Ali . Reporter well check back with you when you get that update for us, katie beck there in san antonio. This is my ancestor who i didnt know about. Theres someone being called a hero in this town. Johnnie langendorff. He started shooting and chasing devin kelley as he left the Baptist Church behind me. My colleague, craig melvin, spoke with him a few moments ago. I had no weapon. The guy in the car with you though, do you know if he shot . No, sir. I cant confirm a body hit, that i saw. Okay. I know he shot his vehicle as he was getting in and crying to get away. But i cant confirm a hit from the other gentleman who was with me to the shooter. So youre chasing the guy. Yes, sir. Then what happens . We were chasing him. Im trying to keep the gentleman next to me calm. Im talking to dispatch, doing 5 95 miles an hour down this road, keeping up with this guy. He lost control on his own and hit the bar ditch. At that time, i parked the truck as close as i felt comfortable. Me and the other gentleman got behind it. The other gentleman drew his rifle, told the shooter to get out. He never got out. About then, traffic was coming. So i went from behind the truck to go and stop traffic, just in case there was any exchange of gunfire, so no one else would get hurt. Police arrived very quickly and responded so greatly. Throughout the whole ordeal, you didnt have a weapon . No, sir. Did you think at one point that you might be in danger . It crossed my mind after the fact. What possessed you to do it . It was the right thing to do. That was craig melvin interviewing johnnie langendorff, who chased the assailant down. Were still trying to get the answer to the biggest question though, why . What motivated the seemingly indiscriminant mass murder of people at church, especially children. Greg abbott said the shooter likely chose this church for a reason. He is a former member of the United States military who was dishonorably discharged. He seemed to have a troubled past, even before he enlisted in the United States military. There is information surfacing that there may have been a reason why this particular location was targeted. That information may be coming out today or tomorrow, in the coming days. But i dont think this was a random act of shooting, a randomly chosen location. Obviously, someone who was very deranged. Here to help us try and understand potential motives is sean henry, the President Office contributor and former executive director at the fbi. Thanks for joining me. Given everything youve heard about this shooter, whats formulating in your mind . Well, you know, listening to the governor there, ali, it sounds like hes been briefed and he is aware of some information that indicates what the motivation is here. There are two things that Law Enforcement is looking for right now. First, of course, they want to ensure that there is no other pending type of attack. Was this individual working with others or not . It doesnt appear to be that way at this point. You dont know what you dont know. Secondly, of course, what was the motivation . Was this some type of a spat with his girlfriend or his exwife, his inlaws . We see that he did have some familiar connection, because his exin laws frequented that parish. Theyll be looking at social media. Theyre going to be looking at all contacts hes had via telephone. Internet searches hes done, looking at his browser history. Theyll be talking to coworkers, familyeighborneighb try to determine why he did this and find out if anyone else was involvedcoconspirator or if they helped him secure weapons, ammunition, et cetera. All right. Were getting more information by the hour. It could be unlike the las vegas situation, where we have some sense of a motive a little faster. Maybe it helps to get some peace to the situation. Thanks very much for joining me. Well be right back with more from sutherland springs, texas, in a moment. What if this happened again . I was given warfarin in the hospital, but wondered, was this the best treatment for me . So i made a point to talk to my doctor. He told me about eliquis. Eliquis treats dvt and pe blood clots and reduces the risk of them happening again. Not only does eliquis treat dvt and pe blood clots. Eliquis also had significantly less major bleeding than the standard treatment. Eliquis had both. And that turned around my thinking. Dont stop eliquis unless your doctor tells you to. Eliquis can cause serious and in rare cases fatal bleeding. Dont take eliquis if you have an artificial heart valve or abnormal bleeding. If you had a spinal injection while on eliquis call your doctor right away if you have tingling, numbness, or muscle weakness. While taking eliquis, you may bruise more easily. And it may take longer than usual for bleeding to stop. Seek immediate medical care for sudden signs of bleeding, like unusual bruising. Eliquis may increase your bleeding risk if you take certain medicines. Tell your doctor about all planned medical or dental procedures. Eliquis treats dvt and pe blood clots. Plus had less major bleeding. Both made eliquis right for me. Ask your doctor if switching to eliquis is right for you. Good morning, everyone. Im ali velshi live in sutherland springs, texas. Im stephanie ruhle. Lets get you started. More than two dozen people were killed during sunday services at this small Baptist Church. The worst mass shooting in the history of this state. The shooting has the distinction as being the worst mass shooting at a house of worship in the United States. My son was helping at the church. He said there were bodies on top of bodies. The church was like a family. It is like losing several members of your family. As he exited the church, a local resident grabbed his rifle and engaged the suspect. I did what i thought i needed to do, which was they said there was a shooting. I pursued. I just did what i thought was the right thing. The gunman identified as 26yearold devin kelley. Police say he was dressed in black,
