I hope this marks the beginning of the end in our painful time in our history. I want to instill Public Confidence that the vaccine that is safe, were in a pandemic and so we all need to do our part. And instilling Public Confidence will be a critical step. This hour, were also following Vaccine Distribution that is under way in ohio, kentucky and other states across the u. S. 145 sites in all are expected to get pfizers vaccine just today. This week alone, close to 2. 9 milg i dont think doses wilion distributed. And if all that wasnt enough, were also watching democracy in action. All 538 eelectricing tore rlect kavanaugh their vo cast their votes for president. In the last hour, electors in New Hampshire gathered to cast their ballots. And despite an attempt by President Trump to overturn the election, the Electoral College is expected to make joe bidens victory official. Biden has said this pandemic will be at the very top of his agenda when he gets inaugurated in january. Lets go to ohio where the first frontline workers are getting vaccinated. The state is expected to vaccinate 15,000 people by tuesday. And dave guttierez has made his way inside ohio state univers y universitys medical center. What a huge moment especially in a case where cases were up. Walk us through what is happening there. Reporter it is an incredible moment as you said, just a few moments ago, you saw the first of the frontline medical workers. If we can pan around, as the interview with dr. Fauci is unfolding, there are 30 people in this room and the first five or six went first, now they are going down the line. And im joined now by tammy, she is a nurse here at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. You have been on the front lines of this crisis the last couple months. You are about to get your vaccine. Tell me what is going through your head right now. [ inaudible ]. When it first started, we were all very, very of a trade to even go home to our families andof a trade to even go home to our families and spend time. Even in our own beds. Im just happy to be part of a solution. What has been the toughest thing about the past couple months, interacting with your family, your patients . You 2u8 public publ you actually work in an icu. What is the most challenging part . The hardest part by far has been watching people die alone. Yeah. What does this mean that you are about to get this vaccine any moment now, how long have you been looking forward to this day . Since the beginning. I think that we had our first case in early march. And since then, weve just been coming to work and just doing our i dont think. And we didnt i think that we all thought that it would be a few weeks and, you know, just up and down and get it over with. And then a few weeks turned into a few months. And easter came and went and then fourth of july. And here we are. Tammy, thank you so much for all that you have done the last couple of months. Well let you go and perhaps get the vaccine. What is unfolding here, if you can pan around and look, right now Different Health care workers are being vax natured. There are 30 people in this room, the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center just got a short time ago 975 doses and the idea is that they will be distributed over the next couple of days. It is a very emotional moment here. U. P. S. Trucks when it arrived a short time ago actually pulled in and was welcomed by hospital workers and as well as the governor of ohio. And as you can see, this is what is unfolding right now. After such a devastating year, after nearly 300,000 americans had their lives taken by this pandemic, right now we are seeing what many of these Health Care Workers hope is the beginning of the end. You can see the vaccine is being administered. It is incredible to see this up close. It really looks like any our flu shot. You blink, you missed it. And the front line oworkers including this gentleman, you just got it, correct . A short time ago. Maybe 18 minutes ago. And how doid it feel . It is nothing. Ive had a lot of vaccinations and a lot of injections before. It felt i mean, barely noticed it. What would you say to people around this country who might be skeptical of getting the vaccine . I would say that we need to trust the physicians and the scientists. That is why i volunteered to do this. Im the Division Director of pull m pulmonary Critical Care. So i take care of patients in medical icus. And so this is why i did this. I have no qualms at all about getting this and i want to see people see if im standing here getting this, then you should too. And how much have you anticipate this had day . I mean, you were there why i had as the doses were rollingthis h . I mean, you were there why i had as the doses were rolling out. You have seen seeing live pictures throughout the morning of Health Care Workers like yourself wanting to be first in line in order to get this vaccine. How long have you been waiting for this day . I havent had time to think about waiting for this day. Weve been busy. You know, weve been taking care of patients trying to run a division. And, you know, the icus are full. So i didnt really think much about this day. I think this is the first step moving forward, but we have an awful lot of work that needs to get done. Thank you so much, really appreciate it. So chris again, we are live here in columbus, ohio at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, the first vaccination doses are being put in the arms of the Health Care Workers. And boy, do they deserve it. To say that i havent had time to think with waiting for this day, really says it all. Gabe, thank you very much. Just moments ago, that hallie jn spoke with dr. Fauci and here is part of what he said. The real bottom line is, when do you get the majority, the overwhelming majority of the population vaccinated so you can get the umbrella of herd immunity. And i believe if we are efficient of it and we convince people to get vaccinated, we can accomplish that by the end of the Second Quarter of 2021. Namely by the end of late spring or early summer. I want to turn now to internal medicine physician dr. Roy. So good to be with you on this day. I wouldnt be surprised if a lot of our viewers reacted when i first saw that vaccine being administered, i cried. As a doctor and listening to that doctor, listening to the folks who are in that room getting these first vaccines about what this year has been like for them, how significant is this moment . It is so good to see you, chris. I know for a fact i have been talking to you specifically since march. Middle of march. As this started on msnbc with you, jo joshua johnson, and by way all of you have been doing such incredible around the clock reporting. Were telling stories, right . Of not only my colleagues, fronts line oig nurses and doctors and respiratory therapists and cafeteria workers andtransporters. Remember, it takes so many people to take care of patients. And ive been telling the story of patients and what they are going through, the symptoms, not just the acute and critically ill symptoms, but also the chronic long term ones, the long ha haulers. And remember, this is one several candidates that will be rolling out. And this is a Scientific Achievement that is really unprecedented. But that has to be balanced with the fact that were still collecting data in real time. We need to see how these individuals do when they get that first shot, how their duration of immunity will be and watch the side effects. But for the most part, this vaccine proves to be safe and i strongly encourage everyone to get it. It really is safe. And this really is a remarkable achievement. I want to show people another place where look at this, frontline workers are getting vaccinated in louisville, kentucky. This is the university of louisville. The governor was there earlier this morning, the u. P. S. Trucks rolled in, so exciting, we should also say that every shipment of that vaccine had to go through before being sent out to the country. So great to see where so many people have been work toward this moment, they have the first vaccinations being done. But you mentioned that you want to encourage people to get it and that is what were hearing from the folks who were in columbus with gabe. While speaking to reporters, the very first person to get the shot in the u. S. , the Critical Care nurse, sandra, also said that she hopes to instill confidence in the vaccine. An africanamerican nurse receiving the first vaccine for the nation. How important is that visual . You know, that expression, a picture is worth the a thousand words. And not only was there is a picture with it, but there were her words. She was actually seeing why this was so important to get this vaccine which is a 3r50e sven difference Health Measure to protect people, but particularly the most vulnerable, which includes communities of color. So we need to work collaborat e collaboratively to gain the trust of communities of color to ensure that not only are they most disproportionately affected, but they will be protected and well work hard to make sure that they are protected. It will require frontline Health Care Workers, community Health Care Workers, as well as working closely with people who are trusted in those communities. It could be clergy, pastor, community activists, we all need to Work Together to provide the education, full education on what these vaccines mean and how it will save lives. And two parts to this. The first one is when can i get the shot. Alex azar says he expects to see 100 million vaccine shots in the arms of americans by the end of february. In people asome people are sayi that is optimistic. But do you think that that is at least possible . Well, that is a Million Dollar question. Anything is possible. Might even be more than that, right . Again to your point, other vaccine candidates could get approved, the u. S. Could buy even more doses. Again, at 100 million, divide that by two, right . Because they need two shots. Two injections. But the reality is and i want to make sure i temper youratiex vaccinate up to 300 million people, were looking at early to mid 2021. So in the meantime, everyone still needs to wear a mask. Even after you get vaccinated because we dont know the duration of immunity. So masks, distancing and vaccines should really help us contain the pandemic. We cannot say that enough. Hold the course. I want to go back to louisville. Lets let me go to morgan chesky. What are you seeing where you are . Reporter yeah, right now were seeing basically the entire process play out right in realtime. Im in a 747, and this is where the other plane landed carryings very first shipment of the track seen. We know tnat of the initial ship the, there were boxes were reviewed for use here. We know tp the, there were boxes were reviewed for use here. Akd and we have a live picture going right now. A u. P. S. Truck took the box here to that hospital, they off loaded it a couple hours ago. And it is important to know this is not just out of the box and into the arm, they had to take the shipment into a lab inside the hospital where that ultra cold vaccine was thawed to make sure that it was ready to be injected into a selection of three doctors and two nurses coming up to the stage one by one to receive that initial vaccination. We know that it did take some time for it to thaw, that might be part of the delay were seeing. But keep in mind, it is coming out of a negative 94 degrees fahrenheit, that is the temperature maintained inside the boxes when it arrives here. And it is kept that way by 50 pounds of dry ice packed inside and monitored via bluetooth to make sure that should that continue tick temperature tick up a few degrees, they can make sure that they can keep it cold. So many people involved in getting this vaccine to where were seeing now which is in the a rms of the peop arms in of the people on the frontlines. In rhode island the governor had to enter selfquarantining. I guess they are getting, what, 975 doses of the vaccine there. What are Health Care Workers telling you . Yeah, that is the magic number, right . 975 doses. Same number here. And it is the stark contrast of realities, as you were just talking about, you think about the number ofs her y yous here,e 48 in ic uchlu, 25 on ventilato. They have two field hospitals with 40 plus patients. And they need as much staff on hand to take care of all of these patients. But with that on this day, they had these vaccination doses. So this really wow moment for so many individuals. I actually want to bring in dr. Shore, director of Emergency Services for life vent, he will be one of the first individuals that well see in a couple hours that will get that vaccine here at road island hospital. Well be watching every moment of that. Island hospital. Well be watching every moment of that. Thanks for joining us. What does this moment feel like for you . I think that it is a mix of hope and gratitude. Im really grateful for all of the scientists, for the volunteers who participated in the trials to make this day possible. And also hopeful. Hopeful that people will understand that this is the beginning. We need to keep masking, we need to keep social distancing. We need people to really speak up about the importance of vaccination. So that we can get through this. Because as understand, were still in the midst of an Actual Health crisis with people filling up our Emergency Departments and hospitals every day. What are you most worried about with this process . I have two concerns. One is that some people will think that this means that we can let down our guard today. And it doesnt. Ill keep wearing a mask after i get vaccinated until the Public Health Authorities Say it is time to let down our guard. And the second is that people will go to the wrong sources when they are trying to figure out whether or not to get vaccinat vaccinated. I understand people have questions. This has been developed quickly. I looked at the data, i looked at what the cdc said, and im really confident that the benefit of getting the vaccine is much greater than the risk of getting covid. And i know for you personally, your wife has address made. Asthma. Thats right. And so since march 1, something ive thought about is how to make sure that i dont get her sick. And i know it is a day that im really grateful on behalf of our staff. Weve got across our four hospital Emergency Departments over 100 physicians, hundreds of nurses, techs, respiratory therapists, and they have done everything we could ask and more. And all they have asked for is that they be protected. That they be safe. And today the vaccine really is going to provide them with a level of safety better than anything we could have done so far. A step in the right direct n direction. And dr. Shore talking about the idea of getting the vaccine in a couple hours. As soon as he does, well bring that to you. It is happening just around the corner where where im standing. But it is a moment in history that i think that well all be remembering after dealing with so many months of this pandemic, almost 300,000 people dead across this country because of this virus. But today this vaccine being delivered across the country. You stated it simply and well, a wow moment. Thank you. And we have a lot more ahead. Well go to texas where their first vaccines are on the way. How hospitals there are planning to get round one to their medical workers. And this hour, a letter there joe bidens home state of delaware to of a firm joe biden as the next president of the president. And tonight, the very first nurse to get the vaccine in new york will join joy reid tonight 7 00 p. M. Minerals to penetrate deep into the enamel layer and it repairs it. It is pretty phenomenal. betsy quarter mile of tinsel. Of lights. harold and real snow all the way from switzerland. betsy hmmhm. Gonna be tough to top. Well played. vo add some thrill to your wish list. At the season of audi sales event. Get exceptional offers now. Before we talk about taxsaudreys expecting. New . Twins wed be closer to the twins. Change in plans. At fidelity, a change in plans is always part of the plan. Were been following this story for months now. But finally got something. Right now close to 95,000 doses of the vaccine are heading to hospitals across texas. That is just over the nooeext couple days. And the state could get more than 224,000 doses this first week alone. With more than 56,000 distributed in the houston area. Ali velshi is in houston for us. So what is going on there right now to prepare for what is a pretty big vaccination effort for a first round . Reporter i share your sense ever tingliness about what a historic day this is. And this week. Houston is you know, it is not just the biggest city in texas, but it is a Major Hospital center. There is also i think about 75,000 of those 224,000 you were talking about arrived tomorrow. We have a 19,000 doses today, 75,000 tomorrow and the remaining 100,000 or so over the next few days. They are going to four centers. And houston itself is home to a medical city, it is called the texas medical center, it is the eighth largest Business District in the United States. But it is the largest Hospital System in the United States. Over 106,000 employees, about 10,000 beds. And it serves an estimated 10 million patients a year. And as i said, it is very large. I want to bring in a ceo of one of the hospitals in that medical system, he is the ceo of the memorial herman, the largest not for profit hospital in texas, but really the anchor of this texas medical center. Dr. Calendar is joining me. Thank you for joining us this morning. I want to get a sense of what this rollout looks like. Good morning, everybody. Clearly our Health Care Workers who are in those what we call covid facing units are very pleased to see this vaccine becoming available. Were excited about receiving it. Were scheduled to receive our first portion of the allocation tomorrow. Weve been practicing for a few days to plan for administration, were ready to go. Latest polling indicates a good jump in the percentage of people in the general population who are prepared to work this vaccine, i think that we expect those numbers to go up as we see today and in the next few weeks, pictures of people getting the vaccine. What are you what has been the up take . You expect to go through all the vaccine you get. What is the acceptance rate amongst your staff . Well, were still early in the process of registering for administration of the vaccine. But we have well over 80 of those who have responded to say they are willing to take the vaccine. Were actually having large town meeting a little bit later this morning to talk about the vaccine. We expect that our acceptance rate will go up following that communication. So we certainly will use alls doses allocated to us and provide them to our clinical workers and staff. And one of the issues that weve got, and well be having one of the first people in new york, one of the first people in the country to get this vaccine, sandra will be on with joy reid tonight, but acceptance rates among minority communities and particularly the africanamerican community, are uniquely low. They are about half the numbers that you state so what messages do you have to people who either inherently have distrusted government and for fairly good reason have distrusted vaccines and medication apply todd serb groups . Well continue to communicate, to talk to people through multiple channels. As youve pointed out, providing samples of people who are taking the vaccine and letting them talk when why they are choosing to do that. So it is truly a large skacale education effort and i think that we have to be sensitive to the previous trials involving minority groups and to be willing to listen to hear those perspectives and work through them as we move forward and try to get the vaccine administered across the country. And you have worked in a number of Hospital Systems throughout your entire came cca. Give me your sense of the moment. This is an incredible accomplishment for medical science. Obviously something that covid19 pandemic something that is unprecedenced in our lifetimes. As youve heard earlier, as Health Care Worker, weve been very busy. Focused on what hams in . Ca happens minute to minute, hour to hour, day to day. And now we have a new set of tools that is coming on line that can help us turn the tide. Couldnt ham quippen quickly en and again, an incredible accomplishment. Doctor, thank you. We wish you best of luck. Just in the last hour by the way, doses of the vaccine were administered at the oxnard health center, louisianas largest not for profits health care system. So lets go to sam brock who is in louisiana for us. Sam, that Hospital System has 40 hospitals, more than 100 health and you are gentsd care centers, so how does the ralout looll ou . Reporter amazing. There is a simultaneous exultation across the country. Im in new orleans and the benson cancer center, where they had ministered some of the vaccinations just before 8 00 this morning. We could watch it in real time as the president of the Hospital Association was narrating essentially as we were watching nurses putting the syringes into arms. Such a powerful moment. I spoke with governor webell edwards, they have had 6,000 plus people who have died in the state of louisiana, what his reaction was to this. He calmed it momentous and emotional. Just the fact that the individuals, the frontline workers who have been putting in 18, 20 hour days six or seven days a week, isolating from their families, are the first ones who are being rewarded with the vaccine at a time where weve seen a shortage of staff fighting covid, now were seeing some relief on that front. We talked to the v. Pharmafarv. Pharmacy and she was enkurnlgted saying that she was happy to see those rewarded. There will be over 100 vaccinated today and again, our nurses, our providers, nurses are the heros, right . They are on the frontline and they are stretched. So time for the pharmacists to step up and do their part and do the storage and low guess tigis they are help address minister it so we start the process today. So 1,000 doses today, 1,000 in the next couple of days. So w. So 1,000 doses today, 1,000 in the next couple of days. They will have 40,000 doses the following week after that, so reinforcements will be coming in. And we heard from one of the first to receive the vaccine, a Critical Care doctor, he is hispanic, he lives with his grandmother, and he talked about the fact that the hispanic communities and lack xhblack co have been disproportionately impacted. And today he said im part of the solution and you too can be part of the solution. Part of the campaign to encourage people of the importance and need to get advanta vaccinated. Reporter thank you for your reporting. And while sam was talking, just heard from our producer in houston that the hospital in houston 2456s suppose the to receive the medication today has taken possession of the vaccine. And they will start distribute it on wednesday. The good news keeps coming in. Thank you so much, well see you later on in the program. Just moments from now, we expect electors from delaware to cast their votes for joe biden. The formal recognition of what we already know, biden won the election. But still many refuse to accept the results. Well also go to michigan where there are serious concerns for the electors safety, the added security ahead of the vote. What youre seeing is a live picture of a gym in delaware where the three electors will cast their votes for joe biden any minute now. In all, 50 states today, Electoral College member, are meeting to cast their official ballots and joe biden will address the nation at 8 00 p. M. Eastern tonight. Now, of course in normal times the Electoral College vote goes by without much attention. But of course this is 2020. And in michigan for example, electors will meet this afternoon at the state capital, but it has been close to the public. Officials tell nbc news that is because of Credible Threats of violen violence. Protests are still expected outside and since michigan is an open carry state, some of those protestors could be armed. Vaughn hilliard is in lansing, michigan for us today. Good morning. Just how seriously have officials taking these threats and of course the securities of the states electors . Reporter this is frankly bizarre, it is discan comforting, and there is a state legislator here in the Michigan House of representatives who went on a local Radio Program here this morning in town, and said that there was going to be as he called it a hail mary h e here. The 16 electors here who will cast their votes will be meeting here at 2 00 p. M. Because of the, quote, Credible Threats of violence per a legislative official here, the Capitol Grounds are closed. House members, Senate Members were told do not come to work, the grounds are closed. Normally members of the public could come into these Capitol Grounds. And you saw the images over the summer when it was those protests around calls to reopen the michigan economy, you saw militia members storming the Capitol Building armed, and those are where the concerns lie here. Over the course of these next two hours. Governor whitmer just two months ago who was the subject of an alleged kidnapping plot in which 14 men were charged here in the state of michigan for potentially attempting to kids nap the governor. Those are the stakes here. Here at noon, georgia georgia, pennsylvania, arizona will be initially voting for joe biden and Kamala Harris pnd and t. And the next hour, wisconsin. And then here at 2 00, michigan will be casting ballots. And this is the last official action at the state level. It will then be transmitted to the United States congress ond january 6 is when Vice President pence will be previding over the senate in front of both claimers, and it is at that time when joe biden and Kamala Harris will be set to be officially declared the next president and Vice President. Vaughn hilliard, thank you so much. I want to bring in peter baker, you and i have been covering politics for a very long time. Can we just say this is insane . Theres are electors who are doing their constitutional duty. And there needs to be security there. Where is the outrage from the republicans saying this is not okay . Yeah, youre right. Understand it earlier, this is 2020 and we have seen it time and time again this year, you know, the polarization of politics getting so deep, so dark, this that it has instiga e instigated threats and you havent seen the president of the United States leader of the country try to tamp it do you think when asked broke it, he usually of either defends it or says that people should act more civilly. In fact, he encourages the ifrtifrtertz efforts in some of the states. Whethers coronavirus lockdowns, whether a stolen election even though there is no evidence. So it is sort of endemocratic of t endemic of the moment. Is there any indication or any reason to expect that this kind of pressure will in any way influence the outcome today . No, the electors will votes the way they will vote. Most states even have a law requiring the law requiring them to votes will of the for popular vote. The vast majority, there is a will no matter what. Weve only had a handful of electors over the history who might go over the popular vote. And it was only a protest vote or statement of some sort. I dont expect that you will see that today. Remember president elect biden has 306 electoral votes or the states element to 306, the exact same number that President Trump earned four years ago. And i think that you will see all of this emvote today. But there is no opportunity to change the outcome. And so the president has no judicial avenues open to him. That hasnt stopped him from questioning the la jits maegiti the process. But he admits that they were all hail marys. This is over, right, done, just to put a fine point on what you just said. No, this is over. And everybody but tthing but th is what we always say. But it wont change the yut come, just continue the noise. And there is a consequence. Outc, just continue the noise. And there is a consequence. Bill barr says there is no such evidence of fraud. And the president says that that is not something that he will accept and he will continue to refuse to con seed probably all the way through up to january 20. And adding to the challenges 6 Jared Kushner of joe biden as if the pandemic and economy arent enough. All right, peter, thank you. And first day of early voting is under way for the Georgia Senate runoff. But folks hoping to get out and vote ahead of the special election may face a few challenges. Some georgia counties have fewer polling locations than they did during the general election and shorter hours. More 1. 1 have socalled requested absentee ballots. Meanwhile congress is facing a make or break week, it has been 262 days since President Trump signed that last Coronavirus Relief wir relaw r relief bill into law. And now negotiators are expected to release two different relief bills. Leeann coigh ann caldwell is fo this for us. Where do things stand . Reporter well, 262 days since the passage of the c. A. R. E. S. Act and that was done unanimously, but now they have been haggling for months and cant come to an agreement. But there does seem to be progress. A Bipartisan Group of negotiators have reached agreement on a path forward. So today well see legislation that they will unveil, but it will be two different pieces of legislation, one is 750 billion, something that they can agree on unlike unemployment insurance, small business, Vaccine Distribution money, rental health, things like that. And then they will release a second passage, things that they cant agree on including Liability Protection and state and local funding, the two things that have been elusive for leadership as well. But the question is, what are leadership on capitol hill going to say about these two proposals . We will be watching very closely when nancy pelosi and Mitch Mcconnell talk about this because it means their support for this to go anywhere pip a. And of course it needs the president s spupt. He is wanting the correct stidi stimulus checks and that is not included in the package. And time is of the essence. Espn and the New York Times reporting that the chief and indians could change their name as soon as this week. Native american groups have worked for decades to get this team and others to make the switch. And of course the head of the football season, the nfl franchise in washington, stopped using the racial slur for its nickname. No word yet on what the Cleveland Team will be calmled. Convincing every american to actually get vaccinated. And for black communities, that task is even harder as distrust of the medical system runs historically deep. Antonio hilton is outside the University Hospital in newark, new jersey, where only half of hospital staffers say theyre comfortable taking the vaccine. I know, antonio, you spoke with six black nurses about it. What did they tell you . Hey, chris. So thats exactly right. Theres a mix of excitement and anxiety here. They surveyed their staff and half overindexes as staff of color. So i spoke to those six black nurses to see what its like being a Health Care Worker and a member of the community here in newark where theres historical segregation, the black communities here have been hit really, really hard. And these nurses tell me that the grieving process so many people are going through right now has been hit even harder frankly for them to have relationships with these institutions that theyre supposed to depend on. Theres a historical factor here, too. A long history in this country of medical abuse of black patients that they hear come up again and again and finally theres a political element here. Many black residents are frankly not big fans of President Trump and they perceive him to have sort of politicized this process, to pushed it along and rushed it. They say he has taken credit for it. And because theyre not his biggest fans, they see that as, you know, a worrying sign and it makes someone wait a little longer to take a vaccine. Take a look at this conversation i had with those nurses here in newark. Show of hands if youre 100 sure if youre going to end up taking this vaccine. If its approved. When you dont see people of color, you dont know who to trust. And even sometimes myself, when i go into a institution, and i dont say that im a nurse, the treatment is different. So that trust factor is going to have major implications here in newark and in communities of color all over the country. I spoke to the ceo of this hospital and he told me that he thinks trust is going to be the major bottleneck to getting a Critical Mass vaccinated here in the state. But he has a plan for that. They are sending Health Care Workers, doctors and nurses of color and faith leaders that they have relationships here in the city to try to have oneonone conversations with people in communities, so that they can hear their fears and concerns and really listen to them and acknowledge them. If he thinks that acknowledgement piece and that listening piece is what is going to make all the difference and eventually get people ready to take the vaccine when its available to them. Do they have a sense that time might be on their side . And i say that because i was just in florida talking to Senior Citizens and talking to people who work in nursing homes. They said, well, i dont want to be in the first round, but if i see them by the time im actually eligible, necessarily, or, you know, to get it, then a lot of other black people have gotten it and theyre not having, you know, terrible side effects or whatever that might change my mind. Do they think time is on their side . Absolutely. I have heard exactly what you just there. Constantly all day long for the last several days. You know, i want to see some other people get it. I had a woman tell me if barack obama gets the vaccine on tv and hes fine, that might make me feel okay to go get it myself. So both for the black and brown Health Care Workers here but for the people they serve, seeing other people get it and taking time to see reactions unfold, its going make a huge difference.
