The cathedral of notre dame still stands but without its elegant spire. Bun burned away. Suddenly you feel your mother has been hurt by the fire. While an investigation is going, officials are calling the blaze unintentional. They suspect it started around 6 30 monday night amongst scaffolding at the base of the spire. The flames spread quickly across the medieval roof, made of so many timbers it was nicknamed the forest. The heat kept building and rising until oh, my gosh the steeple just fell inside the church. The spire came crashing down into the churchs interior, fanning the flames. For hours that felt like days, it seemed like notre dame, our lady of paris, might be lost. French officials telling the nation to brace that she may not be saved. And that the gothic masterpiece visited by 13 million every year and full of priceless art and sacred relics would be reduced to ash. Around 400 firefighters contained the flames, enough to go inside and saw this. The interior badly damaged, but not a charred shell. Firefighters announced they managed to save the structure. Notre dame would survive. And they said major art and relics, including the holy crown of thousands, were saved. Parisians came out to sing hymns for their beloved cathedral and praise the firefighters. The french president telling the nation the worst has been avoided. Notre dame will be rebuilt because it is what the french expect and what their history deserves. Parisians have vowed to restore notre dame. Donations pouring in. Two of frances richest families have pledged some 340 million, a leading european architect said repairing notre dame could take decades. With me now, chris jansing. She knows this city very well. And lets start with you. Lets talk about what were seeing right now. Weve seen these workers atop the right tower there. What more do we know about the efforts thats been undertaken right now . Its dangerous work. Its necessary work. Theres two urgent needs. Even as the city is still in mourning, theyre trying to come to grips with the emotion. They know the engineers, they have got to get inside and see where the danger is, just how secure is what it is Still Standing of this building. 100 firefighters on standby. Theyre concerned that in these centuries old timbers there may be a little bit of ember thats going on. Theyre concerned about the possibility of another fire starting. Theyre also concerned about the possibility that some of the stones that have been charred could crumble. The number one thing right now is to assess and make sure they can get safe access for the engineers to go in. We watched it yesterday, two thirds of this roof is gone. It had those huge trusses made of that ancient wood from the middle ages. So much of that gone. They need to figure out a way to get at least a treemporary roof. What they dont want to do for the pieces of art that remain, the fixtures from centuries ago that remain, they want to protect them from the elements. Lets talk about with which the speed of the french people have stepped up. Many are surprised theyve been able to raise so much money so quickly. Are you surprised . Were talking about a monument here thats not just iconically religiously culturally or even architecturally to france. Of course, across the globe. This is a building thats been standing for over eight centuries. Its survived two world wars. Its survived the revolution and here we are with one fire its essentially lost most of its roof. Its lost its iconic spire. Frankly, yesterday i was here within an hour of hearing that the fire had started. As we see here today, craig, hundreds and hundreds of people have flocked to the site. They were transfixed on this, some shedding a tear. Parisians singing ava maria. Were talking about a country coming together because are saying theyve lost a family member. When i walked up this morning when we arrived and i saw the spire was gone, it hit me. To my emotional core. Its so iconic of paris and of europe. A number of artifacts saved them, among them the crown of thorns. I mean that was one of the main things people were concerned about. We were both here at the bataclan attacks. One of the heroes was the chaplain of the firefighters. It was him with another group of actual firefighters, he insisted on going in and making sure that that beautiful relic, which holds a little piece of what is believed to be the original crown that christ wore on good friday when he was crucified was saved. They dont know 100 about the rose windows. Another iconic piece of this structure. Theyre going to assess them. It looks like they are intact. Theres a tunic from a 15th century french king, st. Louis. What they dont know, there are things that are bolted to the walls, painted there. They need to make sure that that is stable so they can get that in. Theyre taking some of that stuff to the louvre, which every major museum of that stature has a major restoration, but theyre going to need help. People from the United States to russia have offered to help. There are other pieces that are being secured by the ministry of culture. Theyre going to need some time to assess everything and the condition that its in. Again, like the building, this could be years, even decades of restoration. And as you mentioned, this is such an important effort even that unesco has declared support of the french government. The official came out and said well stand by the french government to restore this iconic building. Its a World Heritage site. This is standing at the back of the cathedral, the cross, the golden cross. A lot of people are saying a sign of resurrection, which is what they hope for the building. We saw the picture from reuters, the smoke, the ash. Theres the picture. Way to go control room. The picture from reuters on the right side of your screen. A little bit more than symbolic. So Many Americans know notre dame as perhaps the preeminent tourist attraction in this country. Some 13 Million People come every year. But give us some historic perspective. It is so much more than that. Thats why france has come together on this day and theyve united. Actually youre hearing from different sectors of society. Its not just about those who go to the church. Weve had statements from the American Jewish community saying this isnt just a symbolic importance for the french people, but across the international community. And of course weve also had reactions pouring in from across the globe, even irans foreign minister making a reference to the statements, a very known book about notre dame. Every single one of us who live in the city that walk past this incredible cathedral, for us its meant something i would say. The direct center of paris. Its the center of life. Usually on the plaza out in front of it there are all sorts of street performers and obviously people selling little knickknacks. People come here for the services on holy thursday, good friday, and on easter sunday. I asked the deputy mayor about the possibility of ringing those bells on friday and she said that that would likely not happen. Of course, the concern being any sort of vibration like that could further destabilize the structure. We should also note that a number of buildings to the right of that tower have been evacuated because as chris mention mentioned, theyre going stone by stone now to make sure that theres not falling debris. Because while a great deal of the wood there at notre dame, that wood has been destroyed, the stones by and large remain intact. I know there was concern that the water that was being used may have caused some damage. What more do we know about that . We spoke to several officials at the Fire Fighting service yesterday, we know that 500 forces were deployed to notre dame to try to bring the fire under control. Using water from the river by us here and theyre using drones to assess the damage. The service was angry for having been criticized by the u. S. President donald trump. Why is it were not seeing Fire Fighting planes in use. They said we have to be cautious about this. We want to make sure that we manage to hold onto some of the structure that is Still Standing. In fact, it took them apparently over one hour to be able to get inside and very carefully remove the artifacts that chris and i were just talking about. So great deal of effort from the firefighting services. I heard from one of the passer bys that was standing transfixed yesterday shouting and screaming saying why isnt more being done . Why isnt the army on site . Thank you, chris, do stick around. I want to bring in a former curator at the French National archives currently a curator and professor at cornell. Professor, thank you so much for your time. First of all, what can you tell us about the nature what can you tell us about the nature of the art and the artifacts that were being housed here at notre dame . Well, yes. Well, obviously its a huge tragedy in terms of the building. But possibly also in terms of all the art treasures that were kept inside the building. We dont know exactly whats been destroyed. We know that the crown of thorns, the most precious relic is intact. We know that wooden frame of the cathedral has been completely destroyed. The fear now is that it may take decades to rebuild the cathedral. And that it may be done with a concrete frame instead of a wooden frame. And so were just devastated. What about the artwork, the artwork that adorned the walls here . The artwork. You had a lot of art made in the middle ages during the classical period. The choir stalls were added in the 18th century. Important paintings that apparently could be removed in time. Its both an amazing cathedral and museum that burned. So the i dont know more than what was published in the newspapers so far. And the experts are being cautious. Professor, in addition to it being an amazing art gallery and housing some priceless works, religious works, artifacts, it is also a tomb. There are a number of folk whose are buried here at notre dame as well. Who is buried here . Who is where . Here at notre dame, who is entombed here . So its a place that was hugely popular and the spiritual beating heart of france, so its obviously a great emotion. But im not sure i could hear your question very well. Professor, thank you so much. Again, at cornell university. I also, again, you know, chris and i were talking about this, shes been here a number of times. The first time i was here was back in 2001 as a college student. You come to europe to backpack through this part of the world. When we came here to paris, our first order of business, notre dame. This is the picture i posted on my Instagram Account yesterday. This was roughly 20 years ago. Like so many others came to experience the majesty and wonder of this structure. Again, what hasnt been lost on folk folks who assembled here. This is a city thats committed to rebuilding notre dame. It would seem as if theyre committed to doing it as quickly as possible. 400 million already raised for the rebuilding effort. Were going to be coming back to notre dame a little bit later this hour hearing from an american living in paris. But for now, let me toss it to my friend and colleague there in new york city, standing by with the rest of the headlines. You know, just some incredible images coming out of paris right now. Notre dame means so much to so many both parisians, to france in general and also the entire world. Its kind of been a moment of unity. I think you could probably agree with me. While so much is happening overseas in paris specifically, so much is continuing to happen here at home and were going to be covering that. Coming up, we have now reporting from nbc news on the muller report. Why former white house staff are nervous about President Trump seeing their names in the report scheduled for release thursday morning. Live reports from the campaign trail. How two big named candidates struggling in the early going are trying to make their pitch to voters. Thats coming up their pitch to voters. Thats coming up wake up theres a lot that needs to get done today. Small things. Big things. Too hard to do alone things. Day after day, you need to get it all done. And here to listen and help you through it all is bank of america. With the expertise and knowhow you need to reach that blissful state of doneness. So lets get after it. Everything is all right what would you like the power to do . ® all right welcome back. All of washington is waiting for bob mullers report to be released on thursday and a new nbc exclusive report found the white house may be looking more closely. Theyre worried the report will expose them about the sort of damaging information about the president. Carol lee broke this story for us, also joining the conversation former u. S. Attorney greg brower. Carol, what do you know . Well, what we know is that as the report is closer and closer to coming out, that some former and Current White House officials who were told to cooperate with the Mueller Investigation by the president s legal team at the time are now worried about what is going to come out in the report in terms of is it going to be are they going to be explicitly named as sources of information about the president and if not, is the report going to be written in a way that makes it obvious that they were the source of the information. Meaning, like, if there was an incident involving the president that clearly one person was a party to. Then is that what is that going to do to the president . Is that going to make him and attack them on twitter . Are his allies going to start attacking them. Theres a lot of anxiety. One person described it to us as breakdown level anxiety. Do these people not anticipate this would be released publicly, the Mueller Report . I think it wasnt at the time when they were told to cooperate and talk with investigators. That they it didnt dawn on them that this is a possibility and this is how it would come out. I dont think no, i dont think some of them realized that this was what they said could wind up in a report in a way that shows the president , what they did. Some of them feel like they were in a box. Cooperate with this investigation, they had no other choice but to be completely honest. Otherwise theyd risk perjury. So now they feel like theyre going to get face the consequences. Face the consequences of that. Talk to us about the specifics here. Walk us through the precautions, if any, that prosecutors may take to protect witnesses like this, their identities, what will be redacted, wont be redacted, will names be used, that sort of thing. I think that its clear that the real issues with respect to potential redactions revolve around classifies information and what is considered to be grand jury information. Those are two difficult types of information that have to that are governed by laws and thats where most of the redaction concerns lie. This other information that might be embarrassing to certain witnesses really, in my view, is not likely to be redacted. And it brings up, as carol pointed to,i the dilemma many witnesses face. On one hand a witness has to tell the truth to investigators and to not do so can be a crime. On the other hand, oftentimes telling the truth means revealing information that might be embarrassing about ones employer or other people. So i think i hope that for the sake of these witnesses they absolutely told the truth. But, of course, when that all is revealed, it might be embarrassing for other people. In other investigations, there has been mention of individual one. Through process of elimination we surmised that was the president. You think we could see real names involved . We could. We could. In fact, i would submit for the sake of transparency in a unique important investigation like this, there likely will be transparency with only the most peripheral sort of low level employees having their identities potentially protected. But in other words, if its important to understand the import of the findings of the investigation, to reveal the identity of those who are testifying to this or that, then its simply makes no sense to keep their identities secret. Or the findings of the investigation simply wont make sense. Lets talk about the release on thursday. Were getting reports its going to be released thursday morning. We anticipated it was going to be today or thursday. Any idea what the process is going to look like . Is the white house going to have a look at the report before the public does or will this be a simultaneous document drop . Theyre going to see what it says and then figure out what their game plan is for responding. They have a number of options. We havent seen their what do they call it . Their counter report do they even have one is the question. And do they feel like i think the main question is when they see what becomes public, is it to the extent they feel like they need to, you know, go dramatic in terms of how they push back and respond, or is it something a little less than they thought . I think with just the barr summary, you know, they calibrated on that because it was seen as so favorable to the president at that time. I dont think that was necessarily the outcome they were expecting, but they definitely calibrated their response once that was clear that was the outcome. We all know the countdown is on. Two more days to go. Thank you both. I want to turn back to chris j jansing who is standing by in paris. Reporter Officials Say firefighters arrived just 15 to 20 minutes later than they did, the entire cathedral you see behind me would be gone, would be lost. Were knowing to talk about the massive rescue that saved this building and the relics inside. Well be right back. And the ree well be right back. Do your asthma symptoms ever hold you back . The painstaking rescue is underway. French officials said had there been a delay in fighting the flames, notre dame might not be standing today. Im joined now by matt bradley who got here when the building was still ablaze last night. Wed been watching, the crane has gone up. Weve seen people doing assessment on the outside. Talk about what is urgent work of stabilizing that building. Theres two problems here. Theyre working on right now, the Structural Integrity of the building. Weve heard from french officials theyre saying they need 48 hours before they can let Cultural Ministry personnel come in and start to go about the business of securing a lot of the artwork that remains. Were talking about some very precious pieces. Much of that artwork had been moved out to the hotel nearby, thats where a lot of the parisians have been watching the blaze. A lot of that process is still going on. The other side of that is 50 investigators are going to be going in and trying to interview workers, trying to find out what started the blaze. Its not just about accountability and assigning blame. Its also about prevention. Because a lot of this, you know, theres still concerns that some of this could still go up in flames. A lot of that scaffolding that helped the fire spread so quickly and made it so difficult to put out, thats all still there. So theres still a risk, not only for the building collapsing, but for further fires. You have the charred beams that date back to the 1200s. Theyre concerned could there still be embers burning in there. Theres the fact that two thirds of the roof of this is gone. We saw the spire come down. That evoked so much emotion in people yesterday. Theyre concerned about getting a temporary structure. They dont want the elements to be coming in while theyre doing whats going to be a potentially decades long restoration project. Thats right. I mean, were talking about rain off and on. Its april here in paris. Theres going to be rain. There was rain this morning. The problem is a lot of that stuff was already soaked to the bone, if you will, last night when they doused it with water. So a lot of damage has already been done. A lot of water damage to a structure that was already precarious to begin with. A lot of the stonework was shaky. Some gave way to the touch, especially on the roof. So theres a lot of problems that could still be persisting in the structure. So parisian authorities are saying wait before we go in and try to rescue the rest of the precious works there. And a country that is largely a secular country, even though its a catholic country. Its not a heavily church going country. We saw people spontaneously singing ava purmaria and saying hail ma hail mary. Sunday is easter. This whole city is looking towards resurrection. As you mentioned, its a mostly secular country. It has a strong catholic heritage. And so looking ahead, you know, its muslims, christians, jews, who are all coming together, giving money and talking about how to save a symbol of the national patrimony, not just the state religion. I should mention as i was paicip packing and looking at the forecast, some people are seeing divine intervention in that as well. Notre dame is not just a building, its not just a major cultural landmark, its a key symbol for catholics. As firefighters spent hours fighting the blaze last night, support poured in from leaders around the world in the Catholic Church and else where. Just this morning, pope francis offered his own words of support, tweeting today we unite in prayer with the people of france as we wait for the sorrow inflicted by the serious damage to be transformed into hope with reconstruction. Holy mary, our lady, pray for us. Im joined now by debra cast castellano. Talk to me about the significance of this building that is standing behind me. Reporter absolutely. This building has been a symbol of the catholic faith and for the christian world, not only in paris and france, but for the entire church to believers and even to nonbelievers. This building has really withstood so many challenges historically. The french revolution, two world wars, so many other struggles. And yet Something Like a fire that came about all of a sudden last night was enough to almost destroy the entire structure. Weve seen how catholics and noncatholics worldwide have been reacting. Pope francis as early as last night had expressed through the holy see their closeness to the french people. This morning, the director of the Vatican Press office described how close the french people are to the pope. And later on today he again reached out to the archbishop of paris expressing that this specific church and monument is so dear to the french people because it is an architectural jewel of collective memory. He is waiting for a time when it will be back the way it was where people can worship there and where its artecturspiritual patrimony can return. It almost goes without saying the works of art inside there are both priceless and irreplaceable. I want to ask you about the crown of thorns and the tunic of st. Louis, which were saved from yesterdays fire. Hugely important objects historically and religiously, right . Reporter yes. Absolutely. In the midst of this tragedy, it seems to many as though there have been some miracles. It has really helped that a priest was able to get in with the firefighters and save a lot of the precious elements, including the crown of thorns and the tunic of st. Louis. In this case, weve also noticed even the cross and part of the altar, when you see those incredible images that they have been it has been saved and glaring in the midst of all the debris. Weve seen this crown of thorns, which is believed to have been the crown of thorns that was placed on jesus head as he marched towards his death. This is very significant. This is holy week for catholics and christians worldwide as we lead toward easter. It really sort of puts things in perspective. So many people have talked about what this building means to them personally. I want to play part of an interview with Cardinal Timothy dolan of new york from today this morning. I keep thinking about what i was taught that when two or more christians gather in jesus name thats a church. Well said. Thats what the church is. However this place means so much to so many people. Doesnt it . The Church Building church with a small c is extraordinarily important. What you said, what goes on inside is the church with a capital c. Community, faith, prayer, worship, charity, hope, art, nobility, lifting up of the mind and heart through god to jesus. Thats what goes on within the church with a capital c. That can never be destroyed. That act of faith is inspired by the destruction. This makes notre dame so unique and so important. Would it surprise you if the vatican had some of their experts involved in this restorati restoration process . Few organizations have so much expertise with artwork of this era. Reporter no, im not surprised by this at all. As was announced during a press conference in the vatican today, a cardinal, the head of the pontifical council, the vatican has a technical know how we see throughout the Vatican Museums, for instance. They want to help. What they do have in the Vatican Museum and throughout the vatican itself is considered to be kept very well, very high quality the top scholars and experts. They want to really sort of be hands on and are offering to get involved and help with this process. The world mourned yesterday as we watched notre dame burn. They are coming together as we start to talk about the restoration. Debra, thank you so much. Just ahead, were going to look at the response of americans living in paris to the fire that consumed this symbol of the city of lights. Well be right back in paris. Of. In the last hour, new yorks governor ordered that one World Trade Centers spire by lit with the colors of the french flag in solidarity with the people of france. New york city, of course, knows what it is to have a symbol of their city go away. Im joined here in paris by my friend, an american who has spent the last 20 years here. Philip, its good to see you. I would be dishonest if i didnt say i tried to get you to move back to new york and the United States many times. But youve stayed in this city. Is she one of the reasons, notre dame . Yeah, i think about 20 years ago, like a lot of tourists i came here and fell in love with the city because of, well, notre dame is one of those things you see and never forget. Honestly, as an american, notre dame is a part of my life. I live not far away, i pass notre dame once per week or more. For me, to be a foreigner and foreigners will tell you were always welcome at notre dame. Its difficult to get used to the city. Once you do, you feel proud youre part of paris and france. Notre dame is part of us, no matter where we live in the world. Especially for us americans, notre dame is really important of feeling like were home. So what i actually texted you and we spoke last night. You were on your way back from madrid. When you first head ard and saw those images, what goes through your mind . Its frightening. You dont think its possible it could go away. Its like your whole world starts to rock and you think it cant be. Notre dame is forever. So honestly its right nfrighte. There are things that really scare you in life, and it was frightening. And visually, its devastating to see notre dame today. I was saying that when i got here just several hours ago and saw the spire gone, it was like somebody had punched me in the gu gut. Its so iconically paris, that sky line has changed. The sky line has changed and it i wont be the first to say its reminded me of the twin towers and thinking its not possible. Every day you pass by and you get sad. I guess theres a ray of hope because today people are talking about rebuilding. We know it will take time. Its the only hope we have as citizens here and as residents here that are going to see it every single day. So it helps for example new york is going to light up the building in the colors of the french flag, when you hear about donations that are coming in from outside of france, that matters . Im proud. Im totally proud. I heard the ambassador saying how theres this close tie in relationship between france and the u. S. When you see that real manifestation that there is a relati relationship, im really proud. Last night you went to be with friends. A lot of emotion last night, right . I actually went to visit one of my good friends. I would call him a person who never cries. He said would you mine stopping over because im crying right now. In a way, i totally understood. But it just never occurred to me that even my good friend is not an meteorologist person could be touched so much, you know . Well, philip, i know that all of america is with all of you, americans, french, everyone who lives in this beautiful city and support you as the plans are made to rebuild. Good to see you , philip. Thank you. We will be back live from notre dame all afternoon here at msnbc. Lets finish this hour back in new york. Thanks so much for your great reporting. Democrat president ial candidates are out making crucial stops in key battleground states this morning. Our road warriors are covering the campaign trail across the country. Garre garrett, we got senator booker. Hes all about iowa. Whats his message to voters there . Reporter good morning. Were at a high school in western iowa where he met with students and educators. This is an interesting issue. As mayor of newark he was a champion of School Choice and Charter Schools. Its aen arn area he is trying clear up. You were a supporter of School Choice in newa. Why are Charter Schools a bigger part of the picture there than in other parts of the country . Im proud of what we did in newark and the contribution that Charter Schools have made to our city is unassailable. We have the enrollment system so a lot of the concerns about charter about equity and having special needs kids, all those things we have taken care of and created an eco system of great Public Schools that work for every one. Reporter that said, his message is about fully funded Public Schools. This is a big wide open lane many this democratic primary field. Its one of those issues that gets brought up at every town hall everywhere you go. What to do about education. What to do about Getting Better teachers into the schools that needs them. Its something that booker has talked about quite a bit an i suspect well hear. We have cory booker talking about education. Then we have Amy Klobuchar focusing on health care. Her plan is different than what we have heard from people like bernie sand erssanders. Talk us through what she is recommending. Reporter it feels like its the day of round tables. Shes the only senator not on that medicare for all bill. Shes looking fo ining food whaf folks in Congress Said they want to strengthen the system under the Affordable Care act. Listen to what she had to say. Medicare is a very important part of our health care system. I think we can look at it expanding it and we should. One of the things that i put forward is public option idea which you could do with medicare and you can do it with medicaid. There are other ways. I think we have to be open to expanding just because it is so expensive right now and so hard. Reporter she wants to play really hard in iowa. Its interesting she has this position wanting to play in that state. In a recent poll over 80 of voters said they wanted to support a democratic nominee who supported medicare for all or some form of it. Although she talks about the public option, shes not said absolutely not never to medicare for all but she said in her estimation the best way to fix the system in the immediate time frame is to go forward with Something Like a public option. She did say to cnn a few weeks ago that she wasnt saying no to medicare for all in the future. Thats something that our producers upstairs trying to ask her about now. If we get a an answer, well bring it back to you. Weve been hearing from Bernie Sanders at a fox news town hall last night which was pretty interesting to watch. There was a very great moment for senators last night and it was about health care. Lets watch. This audience has a lot of democrats in it. It has republicans, independents, democratic socialists, conservatives. I want to ask the audience a question. If you could raise your hand here, a show of hands how many people get their insurance from work, private insurance right now. How many get it from private insurance . Okay. How many are willing to transition to what the senator says, a government run system . A part of me thinks that brett didnt know he would get that type of response. I dont think he did. You have Bernie Sanders wanting medicare for all. Youre hearing that Amy Klobuchar wants to work on the Affordable Care act. What do you think is resonate with voters more . What do you think they want . I think they want changes to the status quo. Which ever democrat can get to realist make were not dealing with the costs of rising premiums. Every one agrees that status quo is not something were enjoying. Obama got a lot of criticism for saying if you like your plan, you keep your plan and that fell apart as obama care became implemented. I think a lot of people wanted to keep their plan because they didnt have to use it and when they did use it or they had a parent sick or a sick child or some longer term illness they found their plan didnt cover as much as they thought. People are looking for change in the area of health care. The only people that like the status quo are the insurance companies. Bernie sanders made a lot of money since he ran for president the first time around. You raise the issue im a millionaire. This year we had 560,000 in income. Thats a lot of money. That money, in my case, my wife case, came from a book i wrote. Pretty good book. You might want to read it. It was a best seller. Sold all over the world and we made money. If anyone thinks that i should apologize for writing a best selling book, im sorry. Im not going to do it. You have to love the moment he did the bunny ears. Youre a bunny ear or youre not. Theres in moment where people said is he going to be criticized for now hes part of that top 1 of the economy. He owned it on that stage. He said you would have done the same thing. You think that works for him in. Yes, i do. The folks that love Bernie Sanders are not going to stop loving him because he has more money than we previously thought. If people are getting the message physicif you can write and become a millionaire, thats a rare circumstance. Theres a lot of people that write best selling books that are not millionaires. Its going to tweak a bit of his message because his famous line is millionaires and billionaires. He will probably drop the millionaire from that when hes talking about the changes we need on wall street and elsewhere. This will impact people on the fence for Bernie Sanders and maybe they wont support him. I think this race is wide open. Every single candidate, including Bernie Sanders will have to arctticulate a message d specify how they can fix the problems we can all see. All right. Thank you so much. Good seeing you. That wraps up this hour of nbc live. Andrea mitchell reports starts now. Right now, rising from the ashes. The world grieves with france as a catastrophic fire rips through the heart of paris.
