There is a number of stories of cohen not being happy with the president and how hes talked about him and about how hes not getting the help of his legal bills that he would like and some quotes about how Michael Cohen knows things of the president that he could not put forward. Whether or not this is him signaling hes about to flip or not. This is him distancing himself from the president and being unhappy with what the president has done with what regards to him. I think one of the really interesting thing is the president has not responded to any of these signals by aligning himself or close to Michael Cohen or doing anything to help him out. Basically the white house have been hands off with all of these. What do you make of that, you know it is not easy for the president not to tweet. Yeah, i know. As it was with the Stormy Daniels thing. It is conspicuous of the fact he has not said anything. I think it means he does not know what to do. Maybe thats part of the game and theyre kind of forcing a little bit internal conversation happening within trumps legal team. Julia, lets remind folks of where we are in this investigation or two separate investigation possibly on the Southern District level on mueller. As we are talking about the possibility and as we have been for some time. Michael cohen is flipping on the president , what hes got that they are most interested in. Well, either array of things. You have to look at chris, the relationship between cohen and the president that goes back to decades and especially of interests to mueller would be cohens rule and a possible building of am moscow of trump tower and Miss Universe there in 2015. Thats something that cohen would know about. It is important to point out that this was offered from the Mueller Probe when he saw this raids of Michael Cohen residences. Mueller spun that off but he kept it with him in so far as anything that would come out from the records of those prosecutors found could be used in the muller cases. When you talk to a lot of people, they talk about Michael Cohen being a family man and being a nice guy and the one thing that stood out to me is quote, i will not be a punching bag as anyones defense strategy. I am not a villain of this story and i will not allow others to depict me in that way. We sometimes forget there is a separate issue here of the criminal phase that has to do with Michael Cohens business and the Russian Investigation he said it is not a witch hunt and people should generally be concerned about this. I think there are two lessons that we can take about that. Hes trying to differentiate himself from this investigation and possible of obstruction of justice. This is something that he could put out there and saying, if this is a guy thats about to inform in the russia investigation, it would be weird hes sitting there right now and saying this is a hoax and it is a non issue and it is something that does not matter. The idea that he would say this is a legitimate investigation would trap very well of the idea he may be providing some assistance in that investigation even if it is not immediately. Weinstein has been charged with sexually assaults of two women in separate instances and now charge in connection of the third victim.
