Donald trump, when he landed he held that meeting in which local officials and First Responders essentially praszed him and praised the government response. He talked about the death toll, the fact that 16 people have died in the context of katrina saying far fewer had died where you had hundreds if not thousands in the death toll there. Look, this was clearly an attempt to shift the narrative away from having this relationship with the officials on the ground in puerto rico. Many believe the federal response has been adequate, that they are giving aid to those who are on the ground who are suffering. The bottom line is i think there is going to be a lot of focus on his rhetoric as it relates to the reality of what people are dealing with in puerto rico. So many people are still there without power, more than half of the population. They are still in need of food and more water and there are challenges in terms of getting supplies distributed throughout the island nation. This day continues. And he was telling me i need to get his wife off and we need to get him out of there so i pulled his wife off of her husband and told her to go with my wife and actually had to pull her off and she they ended up pulling her on top of me and i was laying there trying to keep her down. What happened to him . The individual received a very significant head wound and they were performing lifesaving measures, cpr and that, and as we saw pictures that he deceased. He didnt make it . No. I know that you, after all of this went down, you felt compelled to stay at the scene for hours. Yes. Why . Well, mark with his training and such, and ive been through some stuff too, and just being with him for so many years, this is what we do. But when the gunfire was still continuing, i honestly wanted to go. I wanted to go find our friend and try to get out of there but he was staying and i wasnt going to leave. So we just both just kind of kicked in and started helping anybody we can. And the 36 hours or so that have passed since all of this went down, literally a few feel from where we are, have you stopped to think that easily could have been me . Absolutely. I think there was a staff that came out that it was one in 38 people at the concert that were seriously injured or had gotten. The why do you think you were spared .
