That is what President Trump said in a statement hours after turkey launched an offensive against kurdish fight ners northe Northern Syria. Strikes against the same people who have been helping in the fight to defeat isis. Turkey says it is trying to wipe out terrorists. The kurds say that is tturkey w to crush them. A spokesperson tweeted that there is huge panic among people in the region. The turkish offensive began three days after President Trump agreed to move u. S. Troops away back off the syrian border. He defended that decision this morning tweeting, quote, going into the middle east was the worst decision ever made in the history of our country. The president also said turkey should take over responsibility for captured isis fighters who are being held in syrian prisons. After the offensive began, one of the president s staurnlge e ally, lindsey graham, urged the president to change course saying that the operation is a disaster in the making and he will lead an evident ffort in c to punish erdogan. And it is echoed by chris coons. I think it is tragic that President Trump has chosen to abandon our kurdish allies who fought so bravely in our efforts against isis. I think it calls for prompt and Decisive Action to try to deter a massacre by the turks in Northern Syria. Reporter we begin our coverage with a look at what is happening on the ground. Mark stone with sky news is on the turkish side of the turkey syria border. Reporter from the border town that we are in, we heard quite a few arrest tim rilof a tillery strikes and they were fired across the border which is literally just down at the bottom of the valley into syria. This is an operation that the turks have been saying that they want to carry out for quite some time as you described. And it was difficult for them to carry it out when there were american troops just over the border working alongside the kurdish that are now being targeted by turkey. That mark stone reporting from the turkish side of the turkey syria border. Joining me now is matt bradley in erbil east of the area we are talking about. Democratic forces spokesperson says that there is a lot of panic in the region. And there is legitimate fear that this could lead to a new humanitarian crisis in that area. I remind everybody syria has been in addition to a civil war a humanitarian crisis for several es. Reporter thats right. I mean, the story of syria since 2011 has been one of successive humanitarian crises and spilling out even as are far as europe. And were already starting to see a germinal crisis because the Democratic Forces announced that we have even casualties. Two dead, two wounded, all civilians. And alongside that, we are seeing another thing that lot of people are he worried about, it will be one of the repercussions from this, this video of people fleeing, civilians getting into their cars and peeling out of that narrow belt that the turks are trying to occupy that abuts turkey and syria. And if that grows could become yet another massive refugee crisis, internally displaced people. However it go, it wont be good for syrians and it wont be good for the wider region. Remember, for the last several years, the governments in region have been shouldering the burden of millions and millions of refugees who have been streaming out of turkey and not just stopping in the region. They have gone into europe where they have created a massive humanitarian crisis and political crisis as well. But influx of refugees into europe as created has up ended politics there and really you can credit the influx of refugees to the rise of the political right in europe and maybe even as far of a field as the United States. Matt, thank you for your reporting matt bradley in iraq for us. And more now from bill neely. Bill, the president talking about how this is a bad idea. It is kind of remarkable given that turkey was very, very clear about what it would do if americans were not there on the syrian side of that border alongside the kurds. The turks have always thought thekurds are the problem, not isis. And this could become a massacre. Oh, absolutely. Remember, as well as calling it a bad idea, donald trump said in a tweet a few hours ago, fighting has been going on there for hundreds of years, stupid endless wars for us are ending. And lets call a spade a spade. He gave turkey a green light to do this by pulling out those dozens of u. S. Special forces that were on the border. And ali, lets unpick the language, not just President Trump, but president erdogan is using. Because i think that this is really, really important. Turkey calls this an operation. He calls this an operation. Look, it is much more than that. It is an incursion that will lead to annexation. It is a partial invasion, an attack by one nation on another. And it is the first time by the way that this has happened in the eight year civil war. Secondly, the idea of a safe zone. Look, the aim of this is to create a safe zone just really for one people and that is turks. Thirdly, they talk about clearing the area. Well, that is a very nice way of talking about killing people and forcing them out of their homes and towns. And what is that . Ethnic cleansing. This is a military operation to get rid of one ethnic group and replace them with another. Replace them with 2 1 2 million, Syrian Refugees who will come under a resettlement plan. Ethn e ethnic cleansing. Donald trump says this is a bad but i dont see the same passion in President Trump to this as to other issues. This is ethnic cleansing and the invasion of one country by another. And by the way, it is not just President Trump. The nato chief says that he will call president erdogan friday. Friday. Remarkable. He says i call on turkey to act with restraint. Weve just seen jets take off from the air base and bomb places that we know from turkeys attack last year that they do not act with restraints. And this air base is used by nato forces. And this is a complicating factor. Turkey is a nato ally and kurds are an ally. Dont go anywhere. I want to join in graeham wood, staff writer for the atlantic. You wrote prior to this happening but as a result of the decision allies and potential allies will watch this as far as of geopolitics and again wonder what an alliance with america is really worth if it can be flushed away one night and restored the next or if there is always a part where trump says something and then the part where he takes back. This is not as bill says what could be ethnic cleansing, but it is cleansing very allies who helped us defeat allies in the region. Yeah, a lot of empty cemetery plo plots in are arlington but we had kurds fighting for us. And there is no other way to describe this other than as a betrayal. The cukurds, we told them if yo fight for us against isis, well have your backs and you can trust us. And then suddenly like that, it switches. So this has local effects and also larger effects in the world. What can people trust us to do. If we the United States say that we are your ally, then that can change no matter how many bodies youve contributed to our fight. And you and i have talked about this for some years. Where the west has been focused on the threat of isis, people in the region sometimes have different views. Turkey has a very different view. Isis was never the threat to them. They have always thought of the kurds as the threat, those who operate inside turkey, about 20 of the population, those on the syrian side, those on the iraqi side, even in iran and armenia, they dont want the kusrds to have power. So this was an obvious outcome of the United States pulling back. Yeah, we had to know Something Like that was going to come. Turkey has been fighting against kurds for 20, 30 odd years and made no secret of the fact that they thought if a state exists that is controlled by the pkk effectively, the group that has been fighting against the turkish state, then they wont permit to exist forever. And turkey is an ally too. Turkey is a member of nato and so we decided that in the short term we would ally with the kurds of syria and eventually we had to know that reckoning was coming and that is what has happened. And so bill, when graham says that america said that well have your back if you help us out, some people thought that that would mean help in creating a state or getting sufficient land that they wanted. But some people didnt. I dont think any kurdish fighters fighting alongside american troops thought that it would result in opening the door so that the turks could perform air raids on kurdish fighters. No, and the curds have been betrayed by the west over and over again. I covered the presidency of george bush senir. And he said the kurds rise up and fight against Saddam Hussein and then did nothing and Saddam Hussein subsequently massacred the kurds. And just to go back to turkey, not only has isis never been a threat to turkey, turkey actually if a still dated isis by allowing thousands of isis fighters to go through istanbul airport and across the Turkish Border into this area. So that is what the turks are and look, there are lots of questions now, you know, how long is the u. S. Going to sit back and let anything and everything happen. I mean, what are the grounds for picking up the phone to president erdogan . Are there any red lines for the u. S. And for the west, will turkey feel any restraint . This is oxygen for isis, oxygen for another twist in the ghastly eight year civil war. So, you know, this isnt going to be over in days or weeks or months. Because once the turks take this land, they have this plan to resettle it, they have already talked about hundreds of villages, about districts with 30,000 people. This is going to go on for years. What are we going to do about it. I dont think that anyone has any idea. Certainly the white house hasnt said a thing about the future yet. What a remarkable development. Bill neely, thank you. Graham wood is a staff writer at the atlantic and author of the wa way of the strangers. Conflict and confusion continue in syria and the president is escalating his rhetoric over impeachment and rejecting congress plooimpeach inquiry. This morning he took more baseless swipes at the whistleblowers credibility claiming the whistleblowers facts have been so incorrect, and he referenced again a conflict of interest and involvement with a democrat candidate that he or she should be exposed and questioned properly. Todays torrent of twitter attacks is less than 24 hours after the white house sent an 8 page liter to leaders refusing to comply with what they call a, quote, partisan and unconstitutional inquiry. Now, among several criticisms, the letter says that you have designed and implemented your inquiry in a manner that violates fundamental fairness and constitutionally mandated due process. Put simply, you seek to overturn the results of the 2016 election and deprive the American People of the president they have freely chosen. Now, with that, the tension on capitol hill is only he is can lating. Democrats continue to weigh their options against a resistant white house. The president s republican allies continue to echo trumps talking points including his attacks on the whistleblowers credibility. The democrats are trying to impeach the president of the United States based on an anonymous whistleblower 13 months before an election, an anonymous whistleblower who has no firsthand knowledge and has a bias against the president. Here is the reality. We cant count on the white house. We cant count on the courts. They want to delay it and we need to look forward, look at what evidence we have, make the best effort, make the case and have a vote on the articles of impeachment. Joining me now from capitol hill is garrett haake. What changes . You have coined a phrase that ive been using, the great Letter Writing Campaign of 2019, where he writes letters to each other telling them what they think of the other one and what they are prepared to cooperate with or not. What changes, what has happened, where are we in this whole process . Reporter the republican strategy is coming into clear focus. They will stonewall their because through this following the lead of the administration to provide for no additional testimony, no further handover the documents. They essentially say that this entire exercise is invalid so they wont cooperate. With i think one interesting exception. Weve heard republicans say time and time again that they want to see the transcript of kurt volkers testimony from last week released publicly. They say that will blow open this whole conspiracy argument and force democrats to set is the impeachment inquiry aside. As for democrats, hope springs eternal. Sources weve talked to throughout the day still say that at least for now, they are optimistic that marie yovanotivch, the next witness set to be called, former ambassador to ukraine forced out by trump administration, they still believe that she will testify on friday. I would be shocked if that happens given the ardent nature of that letter from the white house. But again, folks we talk to all say they still think that she will come forward. Beyond that, there is also a Conference Call friday afternoon, you will have Speaker Pelosi and House Democrats essentially strategizing their plans going forward. It might help get democrats on the same page on the messaging of this going forward. Next week well see a rolling deadline of subpoenas that i think that we can agree the white house is unlikely to comply with and then it will be up to democrats to figure out how forcefully to push the gas going forward. Garrett haake, thank you. Joining me now, cynthia oxney. The gi tuess the question, agai snow people like me think that if you have a subpoena, you have to respond. But clearly this is working to some degree for the white house, saying letters take your subpoenas and put it wheres sun dont shine. Right, well, it has worked. Why wouldnt you continue to do it. But i do think that they are dealing with a different animal in schiff and now that pelosi is pretty engaged. So they have to make a decision on if they are going to do the full impeachment vote. And gut reaction is no, we dont want to because the president shouldnt have a right to tell us how we do our investigation. Clearly the house is in charge of how they should do it. But legally they are in a better position if they do the vote. And so i would hope that they would go forward and do that. And then when the white house doesnt comply with the subpoena, they need to move to hold them in contempt, need to move forward and fine people, send it over to criminal prosecution at doj even if we know doj wont do anything because barr has become so corrupted, it still needs to go there so they are following through on the process, so that they are showing that they want there to be consequences. And then they also have to try to enforce them civilly. Once they have the impeachment vote, they are in a better position to get it done more quickly. And they need to use the levers of power that they have to try to defund areas of government that are not complying with the subpoena. They need to push people to be willing to resign if they are not allowed to testify like this woman in the state department on friday. And they need to sort of count keep adding up the obstruction counts. That is what i see going forward. And so the way that these subpoenas get enforced or these requests for documents or information is through a civil Court Process if the white house continues to do what it is doing . Right. Exactly. I still think that they should go ahead and refer them to the doj because barr will not be the attorney general forever. But recognize that is a trash can but something that we should continue to push. Just as a matter of course. But, yes, it will have to go to the courts. They are more likely to get things done quickly if they have the impeachment vote. They did get things moving quickly during watergate once impeachment was up and running. And they are in a tough position, this letter that cipollone wrote is laughable, it is so bad and it does not it is completely unstudented by ipe law. So it will move more quickly if they have a vote. Cynthia, thank you. Up next, former Vice President and democratic hopeful joe biden out on the trail in New Hampshire and for the first time calling specifically for President Trump to be impeached. President trump to be impeached. We have to remember that impeachment isnt only about what the president has done. It is about the threat the president poses to the nation. Well hear from the Biden Campaign after the break. And plus a new poll finds President Trump is heading into the impeachment battle with more than half the country against him. You are watching msnbc. Lan to cover the essentials in retirement, as well as all the things you want to do. Because when youre ready for what comes next, the only direction is forward. Burger i want a sugar cookie i want a bucket of chicken i want. Its the easiest, because its the cheesiest kraft. For the win win. After weeks of treading relatively lightly joe biden for the first time is calling for the impeachment of President Trump. This even a he saafternoon he s trump indicted himself in the call with ukraines president and convicted himself when he publicly ask kd ukraine and china to investigate the bidens. We all laughed when he said that he could stand in the middle of fifth avenue and shoot someone and get away with it. It is no joke. He is shooting holes in the constitution and we cannot let him get away with it. Joining me now, mike memoli from rochester where the biden event has wrapped up. Mike, im just looking at a list that joe biden has said in the wake of the phone call becoming public knowledge. September 21, he said depending on what the house finds. September 26, he said it is hard to avoid the conclusion that this is an impeachable offense. October 4, he said he wont speculate. And now he says donald trump should be impeached. What happened . Reporter well, first let me explain when is going on behind me. My fellow colleagues are eager to hear from the Vice President , ask him just that question, what has changed over the last few weeks. Good Old Fashioned stakeout. He hasnt taken questions from the press corps other than one point last week, so something were hoping to do here. But what advisers are saying about what has changed are four things the first was the release of the partial transcript of President Trumps call with ukranian president. Next his comments on the south lawn talking about calling for in fact china to investigate biden and his son. We also of course saw the whistleblower complaint, the release of that full whistleblower complaint before the congressional committees. And then finally, it was what we have been covering the past 24 hours which is the white house saying that they will not cooperate in any way with congress investigation. Those are the things that they say brought biden to the point of calling for the president s impeachment. But this speech was about more than that. The Biden Campaign has always felt that the candidate is strongest when he raises the stakes of election. So in addition to talking about impeachment, we saw him talking about what is a crisis point for this country. Lets take a listen to more. He is laughing at us. He has no sense of decency. He doesnt care about the law. He doesnt believe that people and nations that follow the rules are anything other than suckers or fools or losers. We have to prove him wrong. We have to demonstrate that our constitution, our government, our elected officials including republicans, are up to this moment. And this is especially dangerous moment for this nation. Reporter the most political parts of the speech and what was otherwise a very serious address on these issues was when he talked about two things, when he called the president a cow ard. He said the president is reso resorting to these tactics because hes afraid that i will beat him in november. And he also addressed the other democrats saying a lot saying this has to be more than electability, and they are right, we have to beat him like a drum. So finally a moment after a bit of silence. Mike memoli, thank you very much. And i want to bring in simone sanders, adviser to the joe Biden Campaign. Thank you for being with me. I want to get your explanation of this. One would have expected anybody who came under attack by the president in this way, this isnt the normal personal attacks that donald trump is known for, this is allegation of illegality and calling all sorts of countries to investigate him. Why the measured approach and why did it change now . Well, thanks for having me. I think it is an important question. And the answer is that joe biden has been extremely consistent on this issue when it comes to impeachment. And he takes this very seriously. There is actually a story in the New York Times today that talks about President Trump by bidens history on this issue, the four times impeachment has come up, if you will in, the United States. Of those four times, donald trump being the fourth time that were having this conversation, and two of those times President Trump then a senator was in the senate having to deal with this and the story examines how he took it serious with nixon and consistent with clinton and consistent thousand. Mike memoli was right, what changed these last 15 days, it has been a veryusand. Mike memoli was right, what changed these last 15 days, it has been a very remarkable time for american politics. And when the president of the United States stood on the white house lawn and our president invited a Foreign Government not just one but two Foreign Governments ukraine and china to investigate his political opponent, to target his political opponent, that flies in the face of everything that we as americans regardless of your political affiliation believe. The last thing ill say is, look, when George Washington left office, he warned against foreign interference in our government, in our democracy. And have not biden today s vice today over 200 year, president s have abided by that undonald trump. And you are a veteran of campaigns. Good or bad that joe biden is pretty much all weve been talking about the last two weeks other than Bernie Sanders unfortunately having a heart attack . It has all been about ukraine and what hunter biden was involved in in ukraine and china. Is that good or bad long term f joe biden in. It is unfortunate for america. This is tragic. This is Donald Trumps own making that we are at the point that we are and Vice President biden said that 15 days ago. So our posture is that we wont allow the Trump Campaign to tell lies on twitter, on the internet, in the media about Vice President biden and his family. And were not going to let those lies stand. But were also going to continue to put forth a bold vision and talk to the American People about the issues that are most affecting them. We put out our Higher Education plan yesterday that included a very robust plan for his black colleges and universities. And last week we did health c e care, talked about health care. We put out a plan on gun violence in america and preventing gviolence. And well continue to talk to the American People about issues affecting them. But we wont take the punches lying down. And Vice President believes this is serious. We are at a remarkable moment in history and we all have to be willing to stand on the side of truth, justice, oto reservprese constitution. And i hear everything that you are saying. Im a policy wonk. But today it is easier to talk about policy stuff from Elizabeth Warren than joe biden because unfortunately you are still talking about this situation. Ali, look, we believe that this is about donald trump. So the questions that come up when every time a trump henchman or the Trump Campaign tries it assert that Vice President biden did anything untoward, tries to assert a lie that there was something fishy going on, anytime that comes up, the conversation should automatically go back to donald trump. This is about his betrayal of his oath of office. This is about him putting him as in donald trump putting his political and personal interests ahead of the American People. This isnt about joe biden. Simone, always good to talk to you. Thank you for joining me. Thank you so much for having me. Coming up next, the further along we get into the impeachment inquiry into President Trump, the further his support from voters slides. With a majority of americans saying the allegations that the president tapped a foreign leader to look into joe biden are serious and should be investigated. And that the president has not been truthful about his actions. Steve kornacki is here to break down the numbers for us. As your life grows, so do your needs. Joining me now, steve kornacki. He understands what the numbers mean. And what was the relevance of it to you . A couple different ways to look at it. I was playing with this before the break. Here we go. So 43 Approval Rating for therd. This is par for the course for trump. And the interesting thing as he heads in to the plooemt drimpea drama, compare to the last two who faced it. With bill clinton, his number was 65 going into it. And he was able to survive. Richard nixon when his impeachment inquiry began was at 25 . Nixon wasnt able to survive that. So significantly less than clinton but not at nixon levels yet. And by not being at nixon levels, most of his of hparty i still with him. His number with republicans is 84 . That is on par with where bill clinton was with democrats bake back in 98. So they think that they will keep republican politicians in line. So is there some sense amongst republicans that they would like to see this dispensed of, this whole process, early for want of this the wall that is protecting trump in congress weakening in. That is the question. Where is this coming in in terms of Public Opinion. We have five polls in the last 24, 36 hours. And on the question of the inquiry, all the fifive show mo support, four are 50 or above. Every single poll weve seen since the inquiry began, polling found more support than opposition. So the inquiry doing that, democrats seem to be on pretty solid ground politically. The next step, if they were to impeach and try to remove from office, where is the public on that . Much more of a mixed bag. There is more opposition than support. There was one that he showed 50 support, but that is a dicier proposition right now. But obviously for republicans who are hoping that the president survives this, these numbers have changed in the last two week. The question is do they continue to change or do they lock in right about here. Steve, thanks as always. Steve kornacki. The steteam here has an announcement. We dont know how this went down. But what we do know is that this is the first time that really that you have the president making a Major National security decision where lives are being put at risk, where he has admitted that he has a Major Business conflict of interest. Look, these towers are not just some part of his portfolio. They are the crown jewel in europe, mixed residential and office space where the Trump Organization considers it a major investment. His friends in turkey tied to erdogan invested 400 million in these towers. He personally was paid 10 million in order to have his name put on it. Donald trump and republicans argue that they need an official house vote on impeachment to authorize a formal inquiry. So far house Speaker Pelosi has not suggested she is planning to hold that vote, instead underscoring the point that house rules dont require one. In light of the white houses written letter of refusal, one democratic representative from california said its time to hold that vote. I do think that its time for us to put a vote on the floor, a resolution for the inquiry structured in such a way that it can move forward with full power of the congress behind it. I think that will probably come in the next week or so. That will further strengthen congress hand. Joining me now democratic congressman from michigan. Do you believe that is true . Do you believe there is a vote coming on impeachment . I havent heard there is one scheduled, but i wouldnt have any difficulty with it. Lets be clear, though. This is a tactic that the republicans are using to try to raise doubts about the legitimacy of our efforts. Over 220, i think near 225 members have already indicated publicly that we should pursue this inquiry. The leadership of the house is the leadership and the committees are doing their work. There is no precedent or house rule that requires such a vote to be taken. But if it were taken, it would simply reiterate in formal ways what we have said openly and publicly that this is an inquiry that should be pursued. The president s behavior should be the focus. But this is just yet another example of republicans who are so madly in love with the politics of donald trump that they walked away from their own party. They walked away from their own constituency and they simply wrapped their arms around this man who will do anything and say anything to protect him. If you look back to watergate, there wasnt a formal vote that ended up setting off an inquiry. The inquiry happened and information came out which changed the views of the public from being strongly in favor of Richard Nixon to being strongly against him. With that came this tide of republicans who had decided they started out supporting nixon and as the evidence came out, they stopped. Whats different now . Why is it that tide is not shifting . Were seeing daily in the polls an increase in the number of people who support an impeachment inquiry and in some cases removal from office. Why are you not seeing your republican colleagues join you . You know, i cant understand it other than it just seems that they made this deal with themselves that theyre going to stick with him. I dont think history is going to treat them very kindly. Public opinion is clearly changing and there was a change in Public Opinion as a result of the ukraine story. People understand this question. They understand what happens when they hear or read the words of the president white literally engaging a Foreign Government to try to investigate his political opponent. I mean, its right there in black and white. So, i dont really understand how a republican can look at themselves in the face and say that theyre going to put donald trump and his political interests ahead of what they swore in oath to uphold. Thats the constitution of the United States. Its baffling. This is interesting. You have a situation in which you have constituents which probably worry about, this has always been a concern. Its been Nancy Pelosis concern. Will this take all the oxygen in the room that is left that donald trump hasnt otherwise sucked up. 200 tweets in the last 15 days, none to do with policy, maybe two or three. But the message he isened laing with his supporters is that democrats are being consumed by impeachment and not by legislation and the business of policy. What is your response to that . Its just flatly untrue. He is the one who is consumed by this. Hes consumed by defending himself. He seems to be rallying his republican colleagues, supporters in the house and the senate to focus only on this. Im a member of the ways and Means Committee and were working hard on issues around trade. We are working very hard on issues of infrastructure and tax policy that we think is more fair. Were legislating. We passed a number of bills. Mitch mcconnell, Donald Trumps main cheerleader and the president himself who seemed to be just stuck on defending the president. Were legislating. As you said, hes the grim reaper of legislation. I want to talk to you, you represent east lancing. Youre in east lansing, i want to talk to you about the gm workers. You were with them this morning . I was. These are folks not only standing up for themselves but their communities. 46,000 on strike against the company that a decade ago was almost out of business and that company turned to the workers and turned to the American Government and said if you help us through this, we can survive. And they did. The workers stepped up, made sacrifices and the American Government stepped up and backed that company. And now in the last three years, the company has made 33 billion, 35 billion in profts and theyre at the bargaining table trying to increase the number of temporary workers, trying to increase the amount that workers have to pay in for their own health care. Trying to essentially take away even more when what they should be doing is rewarding those workers who stepped up and helped save the company. Youre right, i remember during the financial crisis and the lead up to it. The Auto Companies faced the music before the actual crisis came on and these workers made sacrifices they were supposed to make and they want their just desserts. But gms argument is that that will take us to a place that is not productive. Despite the fact that its a productive company. How do you end up with workers who earn more to make cars and then competitor irk wiworkers g paid . The fact of the matter is its a highly Profitable Company and its profitable because of those workers. Because its a good workforce that works hard and makes sure that they get their work done and they do it in a way that delivers a really good product to the market. It doesnt just fall off the assembly line. Its done because of those workers. The point is this. At what point is 35 billion over three years enough . Should it be 45 billion or 55 billion . Does that mean that all those jobs that the American Workers have should have their salaries cut in half . No. Does it mean that all that work should be shifted to mexico where workers for General Motors make 2 an hour . No. We just think that those workers should be able to earn their fair share. I think what theyre getting right now is a real poke in the eye from the very people that they saved from extinction. So, these folks work hard, they produce an incredibly highquality product that, obviously, consumers like. And they should be rewarded for that, not punished for it. At some point in time, we want this company to be profitable for sure. But at some point in time, the people who saved the company need to have some consideration. Wherever youissue, it is important to go back to 2008 happened then. Congressman, good to see you, as always. Thank you. Congressman dan kildee. All right. This just in, 2020 Democratic CandidatesBernie Sanders says he doesnt plan on leaving the president ial race after his heart attack. Hes going to start slowing things down. The vermont senator said he had been doing five or six meeting and up to four rallies a day which may have contributed to his health issues. Harry smith sat down with the 2020 democratic candidate. A couple days and there seems to be the sense the Campaign Must be hiding something. What is going on . I think sometimes people think campaigns are, we are dealing with all kind of doctors and want a sense of what is going on, really. The first thing we try to do is understand what is going on and its not a baseball game. So, i think we acted absolutely appropriately. You can catch more of that interview tonight on nbc nightly news. That is it for me. Hi, everyone. Its 4 00 in new york. Two big stories crowding out all else today. Donald trumps obstruction of his own impeachment investigation which has the support of majority of americans. And the attack of the trail. Americas ally in the fight against isis. Two big lead stories and two crises both of Donald Trumps make. Maybe thats part of problem, folks. Maybe the fact that the president turned his back on American Allies some
