Of Michael Cohen. You dont use a big fish to eat a smaller fish. He gets immunity in the hope that he can provide help with someone else and cohen doesnt look like the big fish they would be going after here. So who might be the target of latest move by the mueller team and could it blow the lid off trump eegs financial dealings. Sg. Plus, to impeach or not to impeach. Plus, to impeach or impeach. Plus, to impeach or impeach. But new reaction on what the plea deal means on the Stormy Daniels case against the president. It has nothing to do with the sex or whether donald trump had an affair. Its about the bounds that this individual donald trump together with all of the other continent around him went to in order to deceive the American Public. I am highly confident in the coming weeks we are going to negotiability a resolution with Michael Cohen related to the civil litigation, multiple cases that we have with him. Im highly confident that ultimately hes going to cooperate with me in connection with our attempts to get to the truth and to bring donald trump to justice. Also, new today, Omarosa Manigault newman weighing in on public attacks against former lawyer. I am really, really saddened moreover to see donald trump kick Michael Cohen while hes down while praising Paul Manafort. Michael cohen did everything he was asked to do. He was directed to make those mortgage payme payments by the president of the United States. He was completely loyal carry egg out all of the things he was instructed to do by donald trump. Do you think he has evidence that would be material to the russia gate portion of the mueller investigation. He has that and much more. Meanwhile, getting new insight. Mystery safe in just how the National Enquirer kept negative stories about the president out of the tabloid. This in light of ceo cut can go immunity deal across the Michael Cohen case. Former executive said here on msnbc last night. This is the way the inqueerer roe operated for a while. One of the benefits of being the owner, you can accomplish what you want. Thats how you collect friends who want those favors and take care of each other. Thats the situation that happened with trump. Were you surprised that david pecker basically turned on donald trump and obtained immunity agreement. No, not at all. At the end of the day, whats important to david pecker is david pecker. Details and insight joining me now, jeff bennett. Cnbc editor at large. John hardwood. Former federal prosecutor. With the welcome to you all, im going start with you. Pretty bad week for the president. Also with the inspector of cohen cooperating. The mystery National Enquirer safe. All these stories about the president allegedly. Can you give us a gauge of the president and the staffs mood because we know hes gone on a tweet storm this morning. Thats true, alex, great to be with you. Look, President Trump, people close to President Trump describe his mood as calm for now, but they say theyre certainly bracing for the president to melt down and lash out. As you mentioned, were getting a view of whats on the president s mind as we often do on saturdays like this based on his twitter feed. Apparently up early watching fox news. He tweeted his reaction to a segment about Hillary Clintons email investigation. Hes also suggesting a new tad deal in the works with mexico. Negotiators for mexico and u. S. Work out a deal to renegotiate the north American Free trade agreement. Also attacking own attorney general. Jeff sessions yet again. Hes now suggesting that Jeff Sessions isnt fully aware. Doesnt fully understand what is happening beneath him at the justice department. So at this hour, President Trump is at his private golf course. Dont expect to hear directly from him today, but just yesterday, the president was in ohio, he delivered a keynote at a gop ohio fund raising dinner. And i can tell you what he didnt say was almost as important as what he did say. I was there covering it alex. The president made no mention of the political and legal troubles he faces. He also didnt mention the legal troubles facing former associates. Instead spent much of the 45 minutes attacking democrats. Attacking democratic policies and standards. Take a look at what hes saying. While democrats run down our country, they really do. They run it down. Always negative. Nasty the way they come after me. Get used to it. We won the election. Were going win again in 2020 and hopefully keep winning. He says hope fly were going to keep winnings. Pretty much conceded the republicans will have a hard time holding on to the house. Big question now is will the president will Political Legal issues be a drag on the party. Now that you have this plea from Michael Cohen, directly implicating the president. And aprobe growing around the Trump Organization. Jeff bennett from the white house starting us off. Appreciate that. Joining me now, john harwood, cnbc editor at large. Political correspondent. We welcomed youd both again. John, start with you. We have the National Enquirer safe. Who do we know about what stories could be held there, do we have any facts on that. Any speculation at this time . Anything we have not heard of before . Theres definitely a chance. David pecker killed tons of stories about President Trump and other people that will we have not that have not been unearthed for the reason they were sitting in that safe. This is very consequence s. Even though jeff was just saying that people close to trump talked about how calm he is. He did not look calm to me with this desperate flailing hes doing on twitter and some of the messages hes been giving in public. So, aaron, would it matter at all for the president s standing and how so if it does, if it all National Enquirer stories out there, both to base and beyond. Alex, thats exactly the right question. You have to wonder how much a large part of this country is tied in to these news developments. Trumps base has shown they stand with him. One of the most fascinating aaccouak accounts in the last week. The jury did vote on eight of 8 counts. A lot of people tuned out to these stories. Said we heard the access hollywood tape. We know the president is a womanizer. Is a playboy. Its his reputation when he came in the race. A lot of people say theyre not affected by this. Thats why theres a bigger question there about whether any financial crimes, Campaign Finance crimes, or obstruction of justice were kmcommitted. Immunity deals, what surprised you more . All of them surprised me because the shoes keep dropping. The peck you are one as much as we know right now, seems to be more consequenthall. All of the stories residing in the safe. Not just about the president , but maybe members of the president s family. Well see. In terms of allen weisselberg, he knows everything about the Trump Organization. Appears it was a limited use immunity. Interested to hear what he has to say about this later. Simply covering the responses he would give with respect to the case against Michael Cohen. Now did he and the grand jury go other places as well beyond simply questions about cohen or will he in the future. Will it be a precursor to broader branch. We dont know that yet. Right now we know he is a big promotional problem for the president and i mean, its a problem to begin with. Simply by crop rating Michael Cohens account. We dont know how much bigger it can get. Cfo you follow the paper trail. Always say follow the money. This would be the guy to do that with. So if hes able to expand what he testifies or has discussions with, well see. Aaron, there is a debate as to whether the president is above the law. Not indictable while in office. If hes not, it would be ability to conduct duties as the president of the United States. However, implications politically from this week, how do you read them. So youre right. Long standing doj policy is that the president they have to follow a pattern here basically and turn anything over to congress where sort of political remedy to any offenses committed while in hauoffice. Doesnt mean President Trump is out of political problems here. Not a lot of people on capitol hill in congress saying the i word. Talking about impeachment. A lot of republicans are of course trying to standby their leader here and their party. Democrats i believe have become aware this also fires up President Trumps base. Hear him come out in fox and friends interview this week and speak directly to his base. You see midterm don trump out there talking to the base. A lot of self confidence. Gave himself an a plus for how hes been doing in office. Politically its an entanglem t entanglement. Im curious john. Lets listen to what the president himself said about impeachment. Pick up on whether or not the economy might tank. Youre a cnbc guy. Let me ask you about that. I dont know how you can defeat somebody who has done a great job. I tell you what. If i ever got impeached, i think the market would crash. I think everybody would be very poor. Without this thinking, new york city you would see numbers that you wouldnt believe. Two questions to you, john, the fact the president actually acknowledges the inspector of impeachment, how significant is that and to his point you wroou see the market crash if he were impeached. Two things, i think its very significant he was addressing that issue directly. I also had a conversation with a long time republican tom cole conservative from oklahoma. Former head of House Campaign committee of republicans. He said im disturbed bid what i see. I think that its clear and convincing proof is laid out, republican members might go for impeachment at some point. So the fact that republicans are now beginning to acknowledge that, some of its defensive in the campaign to reduce as a r e vulnerabas a rul vulnerabili vulnerability. Secondly in terms the of the market crashing, that is a delusional statement from the president t. Market is in a nine year run up. More than doubled under barack obama. It has gone up significantly under President Trump. Certainly 2017. Its basically flat in 2018, but it is not the case that the market would crash if trump were impeached. What drives the market is fundamentals of the economy and corporate profits. And the outlook for those right now is pretty strong. Okay. Always strong commentary from both of you. Aar erin, john, thank you so much. Coming up next, ask a legal expert what the immunity deals mean. And tale of the tapes. President trump is arguing with himself. Did you know about the payme payments . Later on i knew. Later on. I tried the patch. They didnt work for me. I didnt think anything was going to work for me until i tried chantix. Chantix, along with support, helps you quit smoking. Chantix reduced my urge to smoke. I needed that to quit. When you try to quit smoking, with or without chantix, you may have nicotine withdrawal symptoms. Some people had changes in behavior or thinking, aggression, hostility, agitation, depressed mood, or suicidal thoughts or actions with chantix. Serious side effects may include seizures, new or worse heart or blood vessel problems, sleepwalking or allergic and skin reactions which can be lifethreatening. Stop chantix and get help right away if you have any of these. Tell your Healthcare Provider if youve had depression or other Mental Health problems. Decrease alcohol use while taking chantix. Use caution when driving or operating machinery. The most common side effect is nausea. I cant tell you how good it feels to have smoking behind me. Talk to your doctor about chantix. Its no wonder everything seems a little better with the creamy taste of philly, made with fresh milk and real cream. You think this is fun . Not fun. I had a fun life, but i actually like this better. President trump in ohio addressing the crowd during one of the most tumultuous weeks of his presidency which ended with news of immunity deals on Michael Cohen case for President Trumps friend and National Enquirer accomplisher david pecker as well as Trump Organization cfo allen weisselberg. Glen, it was god to see you theyve been offered immunity. Somewhat unusual these two men were given immunity. Let me take a step back. Involved in a large scale prosecution, the prosecutors have to make choices. When they have multiple witness who is may have engaged instead wrongdoing, may have criminal exposure. Have to decide how consequencehall is each witness to the investigatioinvestigatio. They were talking about david pecker and talking about allen weisselberg. The first thing i thought of was okay we know now that bob muellers team will be off to interview both of those men to see if they can one, corroborate what they heard on the tape and see what kind of information they might otherwise have that would be helpful to the investigation. Thats whale theyve decided to do for mr. Pecker and mr. Wie weisselberg. These are decisions they make every day in every major case. I assume instruct the right balance by giving them immunity to benefit from the information these men have to provide. I guess my next question is to what end you have pecker, weisselberg, theyve got immunity. Youve got Michael Cohen who is agreeing to work with the special prosecutor who has Michael Flynn, george papadopoulos, rick gates cooperating f. The president cannot billion indicted because he is a sitting president , what is the goal of mueller securing all these people. Great question, alex. All of these men are in slightly different categories, but let me just take a step back and say, i do believe there is a narrow pathway to indictment. The code of federal regulations are the rules that governor how to department of justice operates provide that special counsel can request an exception to doj policy. Thats will be decided by rod rosenstein. I think that remains as question. More as a policy matter and legal matter. Going back to different circumstances that these various people find themselves in. We have seen a noncooperation agreement entered into with example Michael Cohen. He pled guilty to eight counts. Two of those counts include conspireing with the president to violate Campaign Finance laws. I have a feeling theyll call for all subsequent plea agreement. And try to secure Michael Cohens cooperation in the broader investigation as compared to the peckers and weisselbergs who i suspect will just run as immunized witness and collect up all the information that those two men have to offer. Lets take a listen to one of the jurors from manafort trial. Did the prosecution star witness, youre saying he didnt have that much impact on you. Most was just point that whole witness out. He had something to gain by saying what he said. Didnt make him a credible witness. We didnt like that he took a plea deal. Talk about that. The veracity of someone opening to gain immunity if theyre offering something or truthful or never been held accountable. Theyre permitted to testify under a grant of immunitimmunit. Never going be prosecuted for those crimes. Jurors look at those witnesses with great skepticism as they should. Let me tell you how i saw it play out in virginia. The prosecutors did a couple of really wise things. One, they put on all of the noncooperating witnesses, the tax preparers. Bank workers, all to prove to the jury that. All that to corroborate. You didnt need rick gates testimony. We gave it to you because he was a criminal partner that Paul Manafort picked. You can take his testimony out of the equation and theres still enough to convict. I got to tell you glen. I think im a lawyer at heart. I was enjoying this conversation. To impeach or not to impeach. The country is divided. Before break, number one biggest pay raises. A poll shows 42 for and 42 against the impeachment proceedings. 63 think congress will take steps to impeach. As for the president hes pushing back. I dont know how you can impeach somebody whose done a great job. I tell you what, if i ever got impeached, i think the market would crash. I think everybody would be very poor. Because without this thinking, you will see numbers that you wouldnt believe. Well, joining me now, congressman from rhode island. Also member from the judiciary committee. Welcome back to the broadcast. Lets get into it here. You have long held the view that impeachment should be tied to the mueller investigation. Anything this week change the that for you. No, these are very serious developments. Should concern everyone. Its a sad day when an individual in federal court and admits under oath the president of the United States directed him to commit a crime. These are obvious very serious developments. I think the impeachment talk is being generated by the republicans. Its an Election Year kind of scare tactic. They dont have anything to run on. Passed a tax bill. 82 of the benefits went to top 1 . Trying to repeal Affordable Care act. In court trying to take away coverage for preexisting conditions. Democrats are talking about their commitment to fight for the people of this country. Drive down health care cost. Promote good economic growth. Rebuild the infrastructure of our country to create 60 million good paying jobs and drain the swamp in washington to attack the corruption and the administration by the republicans in congress and get government working for them again. Thats what democrats are talking about. Thats the agenda that addresses the urgent issues facing the American People. And republicans and the president want to make it about impeachment as a way to scare their base into voting. Most importantly, at the direction of the president. Would that be uninvited coconspirators. I dont know any question that the testimony provided under oath wasnt directed mr. Cohen to commit the crimes. Would make it unindicted coconspirator. Doesnt that say to you in terms of threshold for impeachment, has that not crossed that line. I think theres a lot of information thats in the Public Domain that races very serious questions about the president s conduct. We have an Investigation Underway by the president ial counsel. Responsibility to protect the investigation and let mr. Mueller finish his work. Report it to congress. Well take appropriate action. Right now priority has to be to protect the investigation. Number of pieces of legislation pending in the house. That will protect mr. Mueller from being removed by the president of the United States. So that investigation can continue so i think we cant ju jump ahead. Obviously that statement by mr. Cohen is a game changer in that its a statement from codefendant or coconspirator saying the president directed this criminal wrongdoing. Very serious. It is serious. The fact you say you know it hasnt crossed the impeachment threshold for you yet. Is that for purely political reaso reasons . Is there concern of impeachment. Just stir up the base. Do you prefer and think it will be effective to pith and use what nancy pelosi said. Culture corruption. If that were out there, is that more effective than impeachment. I dont know if its a question of being more effective. The removal of a president of the United States is a very serious action. We have to make sure the American People understand the conduct after the president. Understand the allegations that have been levelled against him. There has to be a conclusion on the investigation. This is big monumental thing to remove a president. Isnt something you rush into or politicize. We have an flvInvestigation Underway. Want to be completed. What they really want to hear is what are you going to do to make my familys life better. Drive down health care cost. Raise family incomes. Attack the corruption in government. Get them to work for the people again and obviously protect the investigation. Let mr. Mueller taketous the finality here. Prepare that report and give it to us the. I dont think we can jump in the middle of this and politicize it with an impeachment process. Theres no denying that. Im curious about your constituents. Times is reporting yes, theyre split on whether or not theyre talking about impeachment. Even if legislatures are saying what you are, what are your constituents saying. Driving down health care costs, helping to create good paying jobs to raise family income. And attacking the corruption in washington. Protect the investigation of mr. Mueller. And be prepared to act on that. Confidence to do the right thing. When the information was furnished to us. Take the appropriate action. People have to understand we have to let the investigation conclude. We should all be raising voices and republicans colleagues should be raising their voices. Is democratic leadership or democratic elected officials listening to what their constituents are saying. If you are read the headline. Democratic split on impeachment talk. Officials avoid it. Voters are eager for it. You dont agree . I think there are a lot of people in this country including me who have been very critical of this administration, this president , dont think he should be the president of the United States and they think hes done a lot of terrible things. Per for performance at helsinki. Doesnt mean we shouldnt raise our voices about developments as they happen. Again t republicans are generating a lot of discussion about this because they want to excite the president s base to get them to vote in the midterms. We have to take the house back. Focus on people on the country. It is democrats take back the house, i would like for you to give me if you can on scale of 110 with the certainty democrats will then impeach this president. I think you will see certainly that democrats will take their oversight responsibilities seriously. Will have real hearings and do the oversight that is required. Until the investigation is completed and mr. Mueller reports to congress with the findings, its hard to say what congress will do. I have no doubt if mr. Mueller makes findings that warrant the removal of the president of the United States, congress will do it. If he provides findings that dont warrant it, congress will not. Congressman, good place to wrap it up. By the way, if you want to be a lawyer, we have a Great Law School here in rhode island. Im kblad glad to hear it. So many people look back to tape saying he knew nothing about these payments when in fact we now know he knew everything about the payments so has he lied. I think thats a ridiculous accusation. The president in this matter has done nothing wrong and no charges against him. White House Press Secretary there on the hush payments made to Stormy Daniels and karen mcdougal. Hes a reminder of how the president responded to questions about the daniels payment back in april and what hes saying now. Did you know about the 130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels . No. Then why did Michael Cohen make it if there was no allegation. You have to make Michael Cohen. Michael is my attorney. Youll have to ask high skal. Do you know where he got the money. Did you know about the payment. Later on i knew. Later on. What he did and they werent taken out of Campaign Finance. Thats a much bigger thing. Did it come out of the campaign. It didnt come out of the campaign. It came from me. Lets bring in policy strategist. She served as associate director of the white house. Office affairs during the obama administration. Welcome ladies, good to see you both. Noel, i want to have you comment on the clips, then versus now clips of the president. Is it undeniable now he lied to reporters on air force one. You know, to me, i think that donald trump gave a statement that he recollected was the correct thing and i think now he is examining it a little closer, and, you know, looks r looking at the fact that he has done nothing wrong. This is something that Michael Cohen has done to pretty much get at to get at him. Whether i think its kind of a difficult place because you know, youve got donald trump. Youve got Marjory Stoneman douglas Michael Cohen. Both are not experts in Campaign Finance law. He denied knowing anything about the payment. And then at a later date, he said that later on he was aware of the payment, but it came from his funds and not Campaign Finance funds. Doesnt look like he was trying to outright lie. He might not have known. Was he saying then, look, the money came from my personal account as opposed to Campaign Finance violations. I mean, was he trying to then cover up that aspect of the confusion . I think there is confusion on both parts. You have to look when this was all done. Campaigns are working right up to the election day. People are scrambling. It goes crazy. Especially president ial. Its all a map of the United States. You got to look at each of these dates, youre rocking and rolling. Its so fast paced. Then you have a problem erected and donald trump rightfully so wanted to put it out. But dont we have that tape with Michael Cohen. The tape with Michael Cohen, you think the president are you then alleging the president didnt understand what he was talking about in that tape with him . Im saying you know if somebody says to take care of something and Michael Cohen knows to take care of something, he is supposed to take care of it. Now Michael Cohen surely is not going to dip into campaign accounts to do it. So look, i mean, im not an attorney. Im not going to get into the legalities there. Youve got 18 experts that their attorneys can get into that. Look at the much bigger point of this, this is not going to affect the midterms. Donald trumps base is strong. People like donald trump on his face. This is not going to matter. I want to get a second to elana. This whole back and forth. You take on all of it. Respectfully i have to disagree with noel. A lie is a lie and President Trump lies before breakfast. He has his completely walked back his position on what he knew when he knew, but what we do have is Michael Cohen swearing under oath that he was directed by the candidate to pay hush money to these two women. So yes, there is a fast and furious pace of campaigns, but there is a very clear line when it comes to Campaign Finance law and paying hush money and way above the Campaign Contribution limits in order to benefit for your candidate, that is a violation of Campaign Finance law. I am a lawyer. I am not an expert in Campaign Finance law, ive been on a campaign. Most people would know. Paying hush money to individual in order to benefit for a candidate would be a violation of campaign. The president s base be why arent republicans just calling for the president to speak the truth. Clear this up. Where is the concern about honesty, about trustworthiness and also about the longterm affects it could have on the partys image. Im just going to be honest. I think that youre dealing with two things. Theres two things going on. Youve got donald trump and youve got all of this junk going on with Stormy Daniels and what not, but then youve got donald trump and his policies and his promises. And ive got to be honest with you. The republicans were promised certainly things. Donald trump is checking these things off. Hes checking them off. A Supreme Court justice. Now working on another one. He did the taxes. And then you know people have jobs. People have more money. And the tax cuts. I mean, he is going through a checklist so everyone that pulled the lever so to speak and voted for donald trump feels like theyre getting their monies worth. Is this a bad smudge on the branding of the rnc and branding of the gop as a whole, yes, but on the flip side, donald trump is making good on his promises. So how do you pick that, oh, he got these problems out here. So what . Hes making good on his promises and thats why i voted for him. Shes making a point there. Is it legislate. She makes a very good point. Unfortunately the majority of our voters arent paying attention specifically to the charges that are being brought against trumps inner sticircle. However theres a sense of corruption in the white house. That have is what needs to be hammered home over and over again as we approach the midterms. More importantly when it comes to democrats, the local issues is the bread and butter, economic issues. Making sh making sure every person has the tonight. In terms of coming clean. He wrote about it. This president should come clean. Were a very forgiving society. Would the president be better if he come clean and said i have these affairs. Come clean and say heres why i lied about them. It was embarrassing. I didnt want to hurt my family. Any number of things. Many people could say hey, we get it. I hope he does come clean. That will be proof of criminal action that could be the basis for impeachment. And i think that the special prosecutor would eat him alive. So i do hope he comes clean. Yes, maybe the voters, maybe the American Public would be forgiving of it. If he did have affairs and paid off women in advance of the election, hes committed Campaign Finance crime. Listen, i have to let that be the last word. Noel, its good to see you both. Nick is telling me i got to go. Thank you. Coming up next hour, President Trump appearing to lose three confidants if the span of a week. What does it mean for mueller. Comments about the friends and associates causing some to compare him to mafia boss. [ coughs ] [ screams ] [ laughs ] whoa, whoa, whoa. Your one item would be the name your price tool . It helps people save on car insurance. Why wouldnt it save me . Why . What would you bring . A boat. Huh. Its called flipping and it almost ought to be illegal. If youre a rat, then biggest [ bleep ] in america. I know everything about flipping, everythings wonderful and they get 10 years in jail, and flip on the next highest one is, or as high as you can go. Always keep your mouth shut. The president is using vocabulary on mafia movies. Joining me now, mark land letter, author of that article. It is a great article, talk about the message the president is sending with his particular choice of words. Well, its almost as if hes narrating his own mob movie. You saw in that interview with fox where he gave that knowing definition of what flipping is, and how hes known about flippers for 30 or 40 years. Hes also tweeted about the fact that he doesnt believe liz White House Council could ever be a john dean type rat, referring to the testimony that mcgann has given to robert mueller. And then a few weeks ago, he actually in defending his former Campaign ChairmanPaul Manafort, likened him to al capone and said in a tweet that al capone got much lighter treatment than Paul Manafort was getting. What it shows is, this kind of vocabulary is a comfortable space for donald trump, its language he understands. Its language that goes way back almost to his childhood, watching his dad do real estate deals. And so he reverts to this language almost instinctively. Its pretty jarring, when the average american thinks of this as you showed in those clips earlier is more Marlon Brando and the godfather. I want to go back to what you wrote about. The madison club. His father was affiliated with the madison club, what was that . It was the most powerful Democratic Club in the 20th century. Its where fred trump made his very important links to politicians. It enabled him to Start Building houses and apartment buildings in the outer boroughs. It laid the foundation for Donald Trumps fortune. Its the place that loyalty mattered above all. Favors were traded. And nick was telling me in an interview that when he heard President Trump had asked jim comey the fbi director to let it go in reference to the investigation of Michael Flynn his former National Security adviser, that immediately rang a bell, that was exactly the kind of language you might have heard a politician or a well connected member of the madison club say to one another. So really this is language that goes much further back even than the 1990s or 1980s, really goes back to the 1950s and 40s, when donald trump was watching his dad start to cut deals in new york city. Speaking of the 50s, you talk about roy kohn during the 50s, he was representing and supporting senator joseph mccarthy, he also had dealings with mob bosses as well, as a legal analyst, right . How did that influence even further . Well, if you think about it, the lawyers that donald trump has had representing him and has spent time with. And not just lawyers, Political Consultants as well, have also all come out of this world. Roy kohn who you just mentioned, but rudy giuliani, his current lawyer made his name as a federal prosecutor in part by going after the mob in the 1980s in new york, and hes talked of having listened to 4,000 hours of surreptitious taping of mafia leaders. Hes a huge fan of sopranos. Often spoke of that show. The people donald trump has spent time with are people that are steeped in the language of the mob, its likely thats the language they use when they speak to donald trump, he internalizes that language, and when he thinks about his own legal predicament or challenges, he tends to fall back on the same vocabulary. I would suggest, its a fascinating insight into the mindset of donald trump and the way he presents himself. Thank you, alex. The president s subdued calm that is worrying white house aids.
