Good morning, everyone, i am Ayman Mohyeldin at msnbc World Headquarters here in new york. After leaving a path of destruction in florida, georgia and the carolinas, this strong and dangerous Tropical Storm is now moving off the east coast. Its created a dangerous storm surge in virginia which could bring more damaging floods. Lets get an update on it with nbcs kerry sanders. Hes in Virginia Beach where it continues to pour down pretty hard. Kerry joins us now live from there. Kerry, give us an update on how bad it is and how bad its expected to get. Reporter its certainly picking up out here. The winds have been 45, now i think theyre a little bit stronger. The rainwater thats blowing at me feels like its pelting me a little bit more like a sandblaster. The authorities here say that there are at least 30,000 people now who have lost power as a result of hermine, and thats just in the Virginia Beach area. Meantime they have opened up some state shelters for people let me move over here, see if i can get a space. They have opened up some shelters for people in case they need to evacuate because theres expected to be some storm surge associated with high tide here around 11 00. Meantime to the south under cover of darkness at hatteras isla island, a suspected tornado came down and that tornado im told actually lifted two of the mobile homes there, injuring the people who were taken to the hospital. Along the Atlantic Coast this morning, its all about getting ready. In new jersey and as far as cape cod. Were putting extra lines on the boats and stuff like that. And some of the guys are moving their boats up to a cove where its a little bit safer. Reporter hermine roared ashore in the Florida Panhandle as a category 1 hurricane. Whoa reporter then lost its 80mileperhour winds as she crossed over land into georgia and the two carolinas. Whoa, we are going to lose something. Reporter but along her path, a trail of destruction. More than a quarter million customers lost power, trees came down, streets flooded. Its a sign of what could come later today. Now back over the atlantic where waters are 7 degrees warmer than usual, hermine could become a hurricane again. Heavy rains, winds, flash flooding and rip currents, a threat up the coast as far as maine. Storms downgraded, people are saying, well, maybe its a little safe tor to go, but its still going to be a storm and create tidal surge and rough water out in the ocean. Reporter for those who already endured hermine, a word of warning, dont ignore mother nature. My husband had just walked out and came back in the house, so i just thank god that he didnt get hit. Reporter in one case a tree limb fell in florida and actually killed somebody. To point out really how dangerous hermine is. The tents you see behind me were set up for the American Heritage music festival, but that has now been cancelled. Ayman, im going to head indoors. You can see how rough this is. I dont need to stand here much longer. Stay safe. Lets get an update on the storms path and the trajectory in which its going with msnbcs meteorologist Bonnie Schneider. Bonnie, give us an update on which way this storm is going. Well, the storm unfortunately is going to the northnortheast but its moving so slowly and thats going to be key to trigger coastal flooding. 10 miles northnorthwest of oregon inlet north. 60mileperhour winds so a very strong Tropical Storm. It continues to work to the northnortheast. We do have an update on the Tropical Storm warning and watches. The watch has been extended all the way across parts of rhode island so well watch this in new england in terms of rough surf, strong wind and of course that flooding. This is really the track thats amazing to me. If you look at it sunday, monday, tuesday, wednesday, the storm just sits here. It sits well offshore and may work its way a little further back to the west. Right now the models are not in agreement about that. One thing we do know, because of the warmer waters along the gulf stream, this storm is likely to become a hurricane once more with winds up to 75 Miles Per Hour by the time we get to tuesday. Keep in mind its still a powerful Tropical Storm even at present. Once its offshore, the position is really key. The jetstream that normally helped get this on out of here is not doing that this time. Its cut off. As it sits there and just spins out there, cut off from the jetstream, were going to see a continual force of water with high surf right along the jersey shore, throughmarva. So this bheemeans when we get t high tides we could see 2 to 3 feet higher than normal. Thats the forecast all the way from the carolinas back up through new york and into connecticut. If you live on the north shore of long island or right along fairfield county, remember, we tend to get flooding in this region too as the water pulls into the long island sound. Its going to be a rough go of it through the next few days because hermine is one storm that doesnt want to leave us so it will be with us through the labor day holiday. The biggest problem is the coastal flooding. What is it going to take in terms of weather to try to diffuse that particular storm, potentially hurricane by tuesday . Its not. I mean as long as it sits here out over the water, which its going to do today, were not going to see any weather pattern diffuse it at all. If anything, it is going to strengthen and well see that monday into tuesday. All right, Bonnie Schneider, thanks for that. Youll track that for us throughout the course of the day. Now to politics and the days other big headline, three hours from now, donald trump will be in detroit to visit a black church. Hes scheduled to sit down with the pastor for an interview that will air at a later date but its unclear whether he will deliver remarks to the congregation. His trip comes a day after meeting with africanamerican leaders in philadelphia. Heres what he told a reporter with our nbc affiliate wcau about his efforts to court black voters. We met with numerous africanamerican folks from the area that are having a tremendously hard time. We will make things so good. Were going to get rid of the crime, were going to help with the schools, were going to bring back jobs into this country. Its disgraceful, frankly, whats happened with respect to the Africanamerican Community, how badly they have been treated by democrats that have run the inner cities for so long and given them nothing. All they want is their votes. The Clinton Campaign facing new scrutiny over the candidates email server. The fbi released part of its interview with her which was conducted back in july. During the interview clinton said that she did not understand that the letter c stood for classified. Well have more in a live report later. Clinton and tim kaine are off the campaign trail today. On the libertarian side, gary johnson and his running mate, bill weld, will hold a rally in des moines, iowa, later. Mike pence will be tailgating at the ohio state university. Donald trump heads to detroit this morning, as we were just mentioning, in an attempt to reach out to africanamerican voters in the nations urban centers. Trump will visit a predominantly black church during his visit. He may also go on a walking tour with his supporter, ben carson. Trymaine lee is in detroit for us and has been there gauging the pulse of voters there. What are you hearing from detroit residents about trumps visit . Reporter good morning, ayman. Ive spent the last three days talking with black voters here in detroit and they say quite frankly theyre just not buying what donald trump is selling. They see his latest outreach efforts as disingenuous at best, at worst just a play on the optics to say he did. They watched donald trump go from city to city, from audience to audience, majority white audience and make his kind of rather odd appeal to black voters, saying your neighborhoods are terrible, your schools are no good, youre getting shot in the streets. What do you have to lose . Well, the people i talked to say they have a lot to lose and they feel like donald trump has kind of diminished them to a set of pathologies and social ills. Now here i am today just a few hours ahead of Donald Trumps visit to Great Faith Ministries International behind me. You already have 100 or 200 or so people who have lined up to go inside, but you also have folks who are here protesting. Now, i spoke to one woman who drove in from flint this morning hoping to get in to see donald trump, to perhaps ask him to help out with the situation in flint, but she was turned away. Heres what she had to say. I really dont want to go, but my Business Partner said youre real close, you ought to go and see what he said. I would not vote for mr. Trump because they say that hillary is a liar, hes the liar. To have association with white supremacist group, with the klan, how can any black person with any sense trust voting for trump. Reporter theres been a lot of energy and tension and buzz in the days preceding this visit, but that extended to today where folks again want to hear what donald trump has to say. But folks who have been paying attention to the news realize its not even clear whether or not donald trump will actually address the audience here. Apparently his campaign after the New York Times got ahold of a leak of a transcript of scripted responses to the pastors questions that donald trump is supposed to field, you know, then the Campaign Said he will talk. Then the bishop here behind me said, no, he will not talk. So again folks are ready, theyre waiting, but generally, though, youd be hard pressed to find any ardent donald Trump Supporters here in detroit. Ayman. Trymaine lee following that for us. Well check in with you throughout the course of the day. Appreciate that update. Now to some breaking news out of china from overnight. This morning president obama announced a Climate Change deal between the u. S. And china ahead of the g20 summit. The president emphasized the potential impact of that agreement. Together the u. S. And china represent about 40 of global emissions, so today we are moving the world significantly closer to the goal that we have set. That means full implementation of this agreement will help delay some of the worst consequences of Climate Change and pave the way for more progress in the coming years. Joining us live now from china is nbcs ron allen. Hes traveling there with the president. Ron, good to have you with us. Lets talk about two important things. One, this is the last trip for president obama to asia, but more importantly this deal that hes announcing regarding Climate Change, also a big priority for president obama throughout his administration. How important is this deal for the administration, ron . Certainly a legacy issue for him, for president obama, who strongly believes that Climate Change is one of the biggest threats to mankind. He said in his remarks that some day we may look back and say this was the day that we saved the planet. Pretty strong language, which gives you a real sense of how urgent this issue is for him. Of course all of this relates to the paris agreement, the paris accords that were signed back in the latter part of last year. This is another step of formally engaging in this agreement that the United States took today and also notably china took today as well. The United States an china dont agree on a lot of things, but they have been partners on this issue, which is significant. As mr. Obama said, the two biggest economies in the world are also the two biggest emitters of carbon in the world. They account for 40 . Now, to make the paris agreement, to put it fully in force, they need 55 countries and 55 of the countries responsible for pollution emitting, emissions, to sign onto this in a formal way. Theyre hoping to get there before the end of the year, which of course is the end of president obamas time in office in january. And to your earlier point, yes, this is his 11th trip to asia. Hes paid more attention to Southeast Asia than any other american president. He fundamentally believes that americas future is in the pacific and asia, not as much so in european the middle east. Its been called a pivot, its been called a rebalancing, but this is what mr. Obama believes is the way the United States should focus more of its attention. Nbcs ron allen traveling there with the president on his last trip to asia. Ron, i appreciate that update. Well, confident of a victory. Why Hillary Clinton advisers see hm mmm. Hmmmmm. We have some breaking news out of central oklahoma, a 5. 6 magnitude earthquake struck just after 7 00 a. M. Local time. It was in pawnee, oklahoma, in the center of the state. Were getting reports that it was felt in surrounding states. So far no reports of injuries or major damage, though the u. S. Geological survey says that the quake, certainly the magnitude of it holds the potential for causing damage. It is one of the strongest recorded in years. Well keep you posted on that as we get new information. New reaction to the fbis release of notes from its interview with Hillary Clinton. Donald trump is questioning some of her answers, especially her assertion that she didnt know the meaning of the letter c used to denote classified information. What they have done with respect to these fbi notes where she didnt know what the letter c was, thats a lie. Unless shes not an intelligent person, thats a total lie. Then you look at some of the other things she did with all of the different devices she was using and Everything Else, shes put you and me and everybody in this country at great danger. Lets bring in erin mcpike and katherine lucy, politics reporter at the associated press. Erin, let me begin with you. You ask either side, the Clinton Campaign is coming out saying that this release is good, the fact that its out there, they want it to be out there for the sake of transparency, but is the release from the fbi finally going to put the clintons email story to rest or are we going to keep hearing about this until november 8th . Theres no doubt were going to continue to hear about it through election day. I think for the public it might put it to rest somewhat, but this is certainly something donald trump will bring up during the debate. The Clinton Campaign made the calculation here that because the government at large is so complex and nuanced that Everybody Knows Hillary Clinton is a very smart woman but she could just kind of play that it was too complicated for her to figure out what to do. The fact that she didnt know what the letter cment meant bit of a head scratcher. If anything, it means once she gets in office, assuming shes elected in november, shes probably going to have to undertake some initiative and clean up a lot of the damage thats been done over the last year and a half. Katherine, let me pick up on that point that erin raised about some of her answers and the notes that show clinton said she didnt remember or that she didnt know. A lot of answers about the emails that were somewhat ambiguous in terms of what she knew. How is that going to play with her critics . Do you think that its realistic that she would not know these things despite undergoing some training and being told about some of these issues . Certainly it doesnt help her with her critics. Clearly what clinton is saying is that she left some of these decisions and judgments to her staff when she was there and shes saying that she obviously doesnt recall or doesnt didnt make those judgments herself at the time. But in terms of the next, you know, eight weeks until we get to election day, it gives a lot of ammunition to her critics. One of the key issues that they have been raising about her is judgment and how much people can trust her. And this just keeps that story out there, keeps the questions about her judgment at the state department out there. Erin, lets talk a little bit about the republican side of the race. Donald trump, as weve been reporting, is visiting detroit today. Hes expected to visit a service at a black church and sit down for an interview of sorts. Were not sure exactly how thats going to play out with the pastor. We have two months left before the election. Trump support among black voters is in the Single Digits and thats even low by republican standards. Do you think he can really curry any favor with them at this point . No, not at all. What trump is doing here is really classic trump. I think this attempt to reach out to the Africanamerican Community at this point and this certain event in detroit is really just him sort of trying to stick scotch tape on a crumbling building. Its not going to do anything. I will say every four years republicans do say that they want to reach out to the Africanamerican Community, but its not really done in a sustained way. There are republicans who agree with donald trump that the Africanamerican Community doesnt have anything left to lose by choosing democrats and they should really try to go for republicans, but the point that donald trump made in that interview that you played a little bit earlier, that democrats have done nothing for the Africanamerican Community, thats not true. The point that he should be making is that the policies that democrats have pursued dont necessarily favor africanamericans. If the republicans do that Going Forward, they could have a chance, but they do have to do sustained outreach throughout four years leading up to a president ial election and not just these lastditch efforts two months before election day. Katherine, let me ask you about some national polling. After a couple of weeks of riding high, the clintons lead over trump seems to have narrowed to just one point in the Newest National survey. How do you explain that . Well, certainly after the convention she gets a bump from that, they had a very positive convention. There was a lot of enthusiasm and everyone expects that the race would tighten a bit. Its hard to say right now. She looks strong in a lot of states and National Polls in a lot of the battleground states, but certainly were heading into the final stretch now and things are going to be competitive in a lot of places. Let me ask you this really quickly if i can about a political report that clinton advisers are confident of, quote, a commanding win come november even describing it as a possible landslide. Erin, are they right to be confident or is that a dangerous position to take when theres still two months left before the election, exuding so much confidence could create a little bit of voter apathy among the democratic supporters who may not end up showing up to the polls assuming this has been locked in. Ayman, it could. Im sure they didnt want that particular report to get out. I would remind you back in august of 2012 the Obama Campaign knew that they were going to win. They didnt make that public. But when barack obama had that very poor debate performance just about a month before the election, the Obama Campaign wasnt all that worried because they knew, they had seen all the data that he was going to win. This is much the same. Now, i have heard that clinton advisers think that they could have a pretty whopping electoral landslide kind of victory and youre seeing bill clinton and tim kaine and others go to some states that you would never normally see a democrat go into, that they think they could have an electoral victory uppaerds of 400 electoral votes but thats not something they wanted to get out in the public. Let me pick up on that, katherine. It seems that clinton advisers convinced of an Electoral College victory as erin was mentioning, but what about the popular vote . Could we see a split of like what we saw back in 2000 with bush and gore . I hate to reconjure all the images of that political season, but lets talk about whether or not we could see that happen again, or is that unlikely . I havent heard much talk of that scenario honestly. I think the thing to remember right now is for Hillary Clinton, who does look good in a lot of polls, whos coming into the final stretch strong, there are a lot of paths to 270. For donald trump, theres just its a much tighter, more narrow path to get there. So i havent heard a lot of conversation about the idea that there could be a split in the two. All right, Catherine Lucey and erin mcpike, thank you both for joining us this morning. I appreciate your insights. Breaking news out of new jersey. At the half hour, heres what were monitoring for you. Tropical storm hermine is unleashing heavy rain and 50mileanhour winds from the carolinas to southeast virginia and in some parts more than 3 inches of rain could fall in an hour where the storm stalls. A storm surge of at least 6 feet has caused considerable damage in cedar key, florida. The city is on the gulf coast, about 150 miles south of where hermine made landfall yesterday. Tr take a look at this incredible picture of hermine from space. It was taken yesterday over the southeastern United States and gives you a sense of how big it is, Tammy Leitner is in seaside heights, new jersey, and she joins us live. Tammy, how bad is the situation getting there . What are you seeing the communitys response been like . Reporter first of all, i can tell you just in the last few hours, the wind has really kicked up here. If you take a look at the ocean, man, those waves are getting big and the water is coming up on the beach just in the last 30 minutes, it started coming up. Theyre moving everybody back right now. If you remember back in 2012 when Superstorm Sandy came through here, this pier was one of the areas hit really hard and you can see already the waves crashing on it. That is an area of concern right now. This town is bracing for the worst, hoping that doesnt happen. Just a short while ago, new york city mayor bill de blasio spoke about this impending storm. Lets listen to what he had to say. By 2 00 a. M. Sunday the storm will be well offshore of virginia and slowly tracking north towards long island. It will then, appearnd this is f the things we are very concerned b at that point its expected to stall and remain offshore as a very strong storm through wednesday morning. Now, thats an unusual situation for such a large storm to stall and remain in place and have a real direct impact on new york city and long island, all the surrounding areas. Reporter something i want to point out, this is labor day weekend. Normally this beach would be packed with people and tourists, a very busy economic weekend for seaside heights. This community said theyre already feeling the effects of this storm and it hasnt even hit land here. Ayman. Tammy leitner for us in new jersey. Well have an update with Bonnie Schneider in just a few minutes. Now we want to continue to cover Donald Trumps trip to a black church in detroit. Tremendous main tra main lee is there. Reporter im here with wayne bradley, he heads up the gops efforts for outreach to africanamericans and engagement. Wayne, weve seen recent polling. Only 8 of africanamericans in this state say theyll vote for donald trump. Does this visit change the game at all . It could. It could very well change the game. Im looking forward to what he has to say to the folks. People are looking for a reason to vote for donald trump. Reporter now, ive spent three days talking to voters, black voters especially here in detroit, who say it may be too little too late. They find his efforts disingenuous at best. They remember hearing him in front of largely white crowds say, you know, your schools are no good, your neighborhoods are no good. How does he reconcile that, do you think . I think he brings that conversation to this community instead of when he was doing that, bring it to this community, have that same discussion but listen to what the people have to say here. Reporter when you hear the reports that Donald Trumps answers to an interview question expected to be posed by the bishop are already scripted, that he may or may not actually talk to the audience, that you come to detroit, a very black city, you have a black audience but dont engage with them. Is that disconcerting in efforts to engage with the black people. I look at this as a first step. Maybe hell learn what to do and what not to do moving forward. I think that theres a good chance he could Say Something while hes here at the church today. Reporter as a trump supporter, do you really believe donald trump has the best plan to help aid the black community in particular . I think his plan is better than Hillary Clintons plan. Hillary clinton has no track record of really helping out the Africanamerican Community. Ayman. Reporter trymaine lee, thanks for that insightful interview. Thanks for that. Lets go now to msnbc correspondent kasie hunt following the Clinton Campaign for us. Good to have you with us. Lets talk about the reaction from the campaign to this latest release that has come out from the fbi, the notes from Hillary Clintons july interview. Whats their take on the release and the information that was contained in it . Hi, ayman. Well, the Clinton Campaign says of course these notes released on the friday before labor day weekend, they say that they are embracing this. Spokesman brian fallon putting out a statement saying that they are glad that these are out in the public record, that this is what they have been calling for. You can see it there. These materials make clear why the Justice Department believed there was no basis to move forward with this case. Of course referring to that fbi investigation that ultimately cleared Hillary Clinton. It was not recommended that she be prosecuted. But of course fbi director comey having some tough words for her. And donald trump seizing on what new information we did learn from these interviews, namely that clinton didnt know what the markings were on the emails, and also point out that her interview was not recorded and demanding to see one. Take a look. Why is it notes . Why dont they have tape recordings of this meeting . Theyre taking notes of the meeting. The notes are horrible, by the way, for her. Theyre horrible. But why wasnt she put on tape . Who ever heard of a thing where she wasnt put on tape . Wh they use tapes for Everything Else but didnt use tapes to interview Hillary Clinton . Why isnt she on tape . We are going to get some more of Hillary Clintons emails we expect around september 13th. A judge has ordered some of those emails that were turned up during the fbi investigation that werent originally included in the emails that Hillary Clintons team turned over and then of course we may see more information about her schedules, what she was doing every day at the state department. Of course there have been some questions, there was an a. P. Story written about who was able to get access to her based on whether or not they gave money to the clinton foundation. The Clinton Campaign taking strong issue with that, but it looks like well get more information about what she was doing with her time before election day. Let me ask you about the week ahead in terms of the clintons schedule. What can we expect to hear from the Clinton Campaign . Is she going back on the trail . I know theres been some criticism we have not seen a lot of her, particularly in the past week. Is that going to change . We havent seen very much of her. The new numbers show she raised 140 million for her campaign and for the Democratic Party over the course of the past couple of weeks. Thats a very high number. We could expect that it should be, because we havent seen very much of her on the campaign trail. She gave a speech in reno last week and then she was in cincinnati this week, but otherwise shes been really out of the public eye. Thats all going to change as of monday. Shes actually going to be on a plane with the traveling press corps that covers her for the first time. Shell be campaigning in pennsylvania and ohio and then of course later in the week shell be in tampa. On wednesday shell be at the commander in chief forum here in new york right here on nbc and msnbc. Thank you very much for that update. Good to have you with us. Nice to see you. Joining us now is a progressive media director for the Clinton Campaign. Its great to have you with us. Thanks for having me. Some points brought up from donald trump but also from kasie hunt. I want to talk to you about this release from the fbi based on these documents. Can you see why the public is having a hard time with the issue of trustworthiness with secretary clinton . The release of the documents has a lot of i dont remember, i dont know and people find that a little unsettling sometimes. Just to reiterate my colleague brian fallon, what was released yesterday essentially shows us that we all along, you know, secretary clinton has said i made a mistake, i shouldnt have used a private email server and all along shes been completely transparent in acknowledging that mistake. I think what was released yesterday essentially shows that there was no wrongdoing here. And thats why the fbi chose not to prosecute and not to move forward with charges. I think that that has been established, solidified with what was released yesterday. Totally fair enough, i understand that point, but im asking about the publics trustworthiness. That has been an issue that has been a shadow over the campaign. When you see the polls, she doesnt rate very high among voters with the issue of trustworthiness. Does this hurt her even further . I think Going Forward and looking forward, secretary clinton is going to work to earn every single vote. Trust is something that is earned and shes acknowledged that she made a mistake with the email server and shes going to earn voters trust Going Forward. I think that is something that is earned through policies and actually delivering results for people. Thats not something you see coming from donald trump. And we know theres going to be yet another batch of emails released in a couple of weeks. Is there anything in those emails that is going to continue to cast this shadow over the campaign . Do you think this issue is going to shade with this release or is it going to once again reignite some of these questions . Well, i cant predict what the response is going to be from a new batch of emails, but i can tell you that looking forward down the road to the campaign here, secretary clinton is going to continue talking about the issues that voters care about. So while this issue of the email release is coming up, i think that youre going to hear her talking about real policy proposals as opposed to something that has been addressed. Shes acknowledged that it was a mistake, like i said, and shes going to continue talking about what the voters care about. Lets talk a little bit about donald trump today. Hes on his way to detroit. Im curious to get your thoughts. Obviously secretary clinton doing much better among africanamerican voters, according to the polls. But is there something here that donald trump is doing more than pandering to the africanamerican votes you think . I think this is faux outreach to the Africanamerican Community because, you know, he started his campaign talking about mexicans being rapists and even previously talked about the president s birth certificate. And so in africanamericans minds, this is someone who has basically been the chief birther for many, many years. So now talking about our communities and really, i think really damaging an unfortunate stereo typical terms, we all live in the inner cities, which is not true. Certainly there are issues to address but donald trump is not providing any solutions. Hes saying we have nothing tos loo. We have everything to lose and hes not offering us anything. And do you see anything that he could say that could move the needle in his favor among africanamerican voters . No, i dont think that theres anything that he can say. You know, look, the New York Times showed that hes already been scripted and it hasnt even happened yet, so i think that theres nothing that he can say thats going to change what has the damage that has already been done in that community. When speaking about millennials, most people think of a tech savvy 20something fresh out of college whos probably struggling with Student Loans and trying to find a job. While Bernie Sanders managed to tap into that group of voters, there are millions of young people that are being overlooked. An article from the new republic titled the forgotten millennials focuses on voters who could be the key to clintons victory. Rebecca, good to have you with us. I wanted to ask you just off the bat, who are these forgotten millennials exactly . Yeah, so this is 17 million eligible voters under the age of 35. And Hillary Clinton is not speaking to these voters, no one is really speaking to these voters, so they really represent an opportunity. As you said, theyre not the College Educated millennials, theyre not in college, so those policies, talking about policies about alleviating student debt, college affordability, thats not going to reach them. So you brought up a really good point. You talked about the number. A Research Center that specializes in youth issues estimates there are more than 17 million eligible voters under the age of 35 waiting to essentially be mobilized. The logical question for me and i think for anyone out there is why are the candidates seemingly ignoring this group . Yeah, so theyre really hard to reach. So their turnout rate in 2012 was only 29 . Thats half the rate of College Educated millennials. One working class millennial told me, you know, if youre working a 9 to 5 job and worried about paying bills, youre not really thinking who am i going to vote for. Another issue is theyre not concentrated in one place. Like on a college campus. So it takes a lot more work to reach them. Im curious to get your thoughts, though, i know a lot of campaigns have developed various social Media Outreach campaigns and they do a lot of things that you would assume would be in the information streamline for millennials. Are they still not able to tap into them from an advertising or Campaign Structure or you mean theyre just not addressing the issues that matter to them . Its a little bit of both. Politicians really need to address economic issues. Thats probably the number one issue for these millennials. So clinton has talked about, you know, giving tax credits to businesses with apprenticeship programs. Thats a start. But as you said, its also about reaching them. So going to farmers markets and concerts and parks and labor unions, churches, and trying to reach out to them that way and registering voters as well, because so because some of these people arent registered to vote. Thats a big hurdle. By what methods do you think clinton or trump should use to reach these blue collar millennials . Definitely get out the vote campaigns, farmers markets, churches are a big place where these millennials are, and reaching out to them that way is one of the best ways to do it. Its something that politicians havent figured out yet. Thats a big hurdle. Rebecca nelson, good to have you with us. Very insightful piece about millennials. I would say i feel like a millennials but i missed the cutoff point of 35 and younger. Thanks for having me.
