So its a really lopsided to the top to the same class that is has cause sod many of the problems were facing today in regions like i represented. Frankly, as a member of the defense committee, i have to say were a nation at war and for any president who be sort of hanging out at a tax cut to the very wealthy at a time were at war, there isnt a veteran in his family. and no matter who they are, trump or the establishment character like mitch mcconnell, they are obsessed with the estate tax. They call it the death tax. They are obsessed with Building Plantations that go on for generation after generation of wealth. Why do they want to have Wealth Go On And on and on in their families. He would not be taxed 35 rate that everybody else is taxed at because most of the money is in

Its probably one of the greatest giveaways of this plan for the wealthy. When think about this, they include massive hedge funds, law firms and to Andrews PointPresident Trumps businesses. So 90 of the pass throughs that exist in this country are held by the top 1 of the population. So spare me this argument that were making it look like its these little mom and pop shops. It seems like trump, the president looks like a chump here because hes offering up these delicacies to his rich friends. Everybody knows hes called for a reduction in the corporate rate. Are going to be contributing to those campaigns and to his favorite candidates. So its kind of a call to arms for those who want to influence elections. I think they intend to do that. This is a battle between red states and blue states. They are talking about the state and local tax te ddeduction. If youre in a blue state like new york, like california, they will pay more. They will pay a lot more. Even with the 35 rate. Not all the issues we just talked about. Well pay more. If youre being paid 75,000 a househo household, youre going to pay more. This you could talk about whether hes trying to the rich or not. This is about soaking blue states relative to e red states. It seems to me that gary is

The presentation that the team made to the senate intel staff today was deeply disappointing. Their response was frankly ed adequate on almost every level. You think this is an occurrence

But again, that depends on whether he used that account to discuss things that were pertinent to our investigation. We generally ask the witnesses to come before us what email accounts they use, what applications they use, encrypted

But a lot of twitters work was derivative of what facebook did. So basically if you present twitter with look at these accounts, they may be able to say they are russia linked. Can they reach these conclusions on their own without being told which can accounts they need to scrutinize or do they not have enough information because they dont require it of users and can it be sustain ed if its
going to result in this use of their platform. What about the political knowledge. The way the sense of our psyche, what makes us fight with each other. Are there american experts over there or spotters on the ground. They have absolutely experts in politics and parties and divisions. Im sure they get plenty of advice from americans. Some may be unwitting in terms of information they give the russians about how issues play out in the United States. Were they hired hands or are they trump people or people that just look for some bucks. Theres an allegation we need to get to the bottom of that for example, manafort was communicating with the russians saying i offered you information on the campaign at the same time
the russians were offering them information on hillary clinton. So all this we need to investigate. But youre right. The russians can gnow do the luxury of the l kremlin the organizing of rallies and organizing of protests in america. The provoking conflict between americans. Its breathtaking what they can do. And unfortunately, the web has made that very possible, easy, low cost, denial. You believe they had an influence in who won the election . They certainly had an influence. But the social media stuff is only one element of their active measures. The fact that hillary had to constantly be on the defensive with these daily dumps of information. In an election that was win or loss, you cant say that wasnt influential. How long would it take us
we have heard a year and a half or more. Before or after the election, will they have a clear idea of the role that the russians played a clear idea what they played in this whole venn dan go. Investigations have a natural rhythm of their own. Were in the expansionary phase. We continue to learn more. We learn more about the meeting at trump tower. We still dont know the whole story with google and other platforms. But im assuming well find their fingerprints there as well. I think we only really have begun to ubs even when they did on facebook and twitter. Facebook has said that they dont know if there were other russian entities active on facebook and they are still looking into that. They dont know if they were working through third parties in eastern europe. Twitter has not addressed a lot of suspected russian activity that other researchers had already documented and pointed to. Instead twitter looked only at accounts linked to the russia
accounts that facebook had found. So i think both companies have been very slow to get into this. And twitter disappointed and surprised folks with congress who expected them to at least discuss and say what they knew about the hundreds of accounts that have been identified by outside researchers as probably put there by russia. That is a lack of infrastructure. Just to fwif you an example, we went down that road. Its a mountainous area and found a road block just past that there was an area where there was a washout. There are more landslides that you can count. There was a crew that was trying to reopen that road. There was a a stream of people. Some people had been walking seven miles carrying gas cans. These people knew they had to get back to work, but have been digging out. One of the homes we saw, Everything Inside has been thrown to all directions. And that man was a truck driver. There was a truck sitting next to the house. And that profession is what the island needs the most right now. People that can restore the infrastructure. And so less than 20 of Truck Drivers have reported back to work. There was a on to of aid at the ports waiting to get out to the rest of puerto rico. Without Truck Drivers able to drive the trucks, its going to be quite some time to get aid out to the hard to reach areas. Those Truck Drivers many of them have had their homes completely destroyed. Those who have not are having trouble getting gas, walking miles to gas station, carrying
gas cans and thats the situation for basically a lot of people out in those rural areas. So it almost seems as though the people that Puerto Rico Needs the most right now, road crews, electricians, Truck Drivers are some of the people that are in the most need. Thank you.
