The Little League world series heats up. Good monday morning, im frances rivera. Governor jay nixon ordered the Missouri National guard to restore peace and order this. After what officials are calling deliberate attacks against Police Officers last night. Violence once again erupted in the streets about 3 1 2 hours ahead of the curfew. At a News Conference a couple of hours ago Highway Patrol captain ron johnson confirmed at least three protesters were shot at the hands of other protesters. There were people with guns in the crowds. Also a number of people throwing molotov cocktails at police as well as looting and vandalizing stores in the area and have the results of a private autopsy on 18yearold Michael Brown. It shows that he was shot at least six times. The autopsy indicates that all bullets were fired into the front of his body including twice in the head and four times on the right side. Attorney general eric holder is taking the unusual extra steps by having the Justice Department conduct its own autopsy. Nbc news jay gray has been reporting all night and what can you tell us . Hey there, good morning, frances. Early this morning, the governor of missouri did order the National Guard to move, soldiers expected to be here later after what was another difficult and dangerous night in ferguson. The chaos unfolded hours before the curfew took effect in ferguson. With armored vehicles, officers in riot gear rushing in. I had no alternative but to elevate the level of our response. Reporter police used smoke canisters and tear gas to try and gain control of what they describe as a very dangerous situation. Shots being fired on officers, a number of molotov co cocktails and the looting or advanta vandalism of businesses. Reporter two or three in the crowd were injured by gun many fire. None of those involving police. At least four businesses were damaged and looted and for the first time the violence stretched to just outside the Police Command post here. The call went out to every available officer to rush back to the area where dozens with shields, batons and wearing gas masks, others with weapons drawn worked to lock down their compound. As another night of violence was unfolding so was a new picture of what happened the day Michael Brown was shot and killed. Attorneys released this sketch from a private autopsy by a doctor hired by the brown family. It shows the 18yearold was shot six times adding to the hea heartache, frustration and anger for a family and Community Already seemingly pushed past its limits. Now, the brown family and the doctor who performed the autopsy are expected to speak publicly about the results later this morning. That is the latest from here in ferguson, im jay gray, frances, back to you now. Msnbc will carry that live when it happens. Listen how one protester describes being hit with tear gas hours before the curfew went that effect. We was marching at first and everyone was standing around so we decided lets march. Well march up to the command center, go down on our knees and say hands up and dont shoot and we demand justice and before we could get to our knees they started shooting us with tear gas. But those continued clashes, meanwhile, president obama is taking a short break from his Marthas Vineyard vacation and flew back to washington and the white house hasnt given much detail about why the president had to return to d. I think whats going on in iraq is horrific and it warrants a response. We cannot just put our heads in the sand and pretend did doesnt exist. Reporter the president informed congress hes authorized new air strikes to protect a dam in mosul saying civilians and assets will be endangered if it falls to terrorists. Youve got to show people of mosul and these towns captured that they have theres some hope that folk also come and get them out. Reporter republicans and democrats alike are backing the president but want more answers. Were missing a critical question here which is what is our mission. What is the United States mission. What are we trying to accomplish here . A familiar question with American Forces once again fighting for iraqs future.
