The american revolution, and were also right down the street from Independence Hall where, of course, they signed the declaration of independence and u. S. Constitution. More than 200 years ago. This year, pennsylvania once again is in the election spotlight. One of the handful of swing states that could be the key to determining our next president. After voting democrat for six straight elections, this state went republican in 2016 when trump flipped three counties from blue to red and ended up flipping the whole state. Heres how you know this state is so important. We saw President Trump, mike pence, joe biden and Kamala Harris all making Campaign Stops here within the last 24 hours. Polls are now open in pennsylvania and in a dozen states across the country. The numbers are already historic. Voter participation on track to be the highest in over a century. Roughly 97 million americans have already cast their ballots. Millions more are set to vote before the polls close tonight. You better make no mistake, todays turnout will be the deciding factor. Will it give biden the cushion he needs to rebuild the blue wall, beat the president and potentially expand the Democratic Base . Or will Trump Supporters overwhelm the advantage democrats built during early voting and deliver a comefrombehind win for President Trump again . Weve got reporters spread out across this nation covering all the big states and breaking down what matters to you. I want to go first to nbcs Peter Alexander following the Trump Campaign and ali vitali who has been following former vp biden. We heard from the president after midnight last night on fox and again this morning. What are his final words to voters . Get out there . For the president , this is the ball game as you set up nicely here. Hes counting on a huge turnout today to overwhelm that early vote that was largely democratic to give him another four years in office. And he is confident the energy hes seen in those crowds at his rallies rooy ies recently is eve polls will miss the mark again. Just a short time ago, the president sounding husky. His voice raspy after four rallies in five states yesterday. Was on fox news this morning and was asked whether or when specifically he would declare victory tonight. Take a listen. At what point will you declare victory . When theres victory, if theres victory. I think well have victory. I think the polls are, you know, suppression polls and i think well have victory. But only when theres victory. You know, theres no reason to play games. The president said there is no reason to play games. But he has been playing a game of sorts in the last several days. And again this morning, singling out pennsylvania, a state where they are going to be legally counting mailin ballots. As you know that arrive over the next three days. That was a decision upheld by the supreme court. The president again today saying that will cause chaos, saying its dangerous on the trail yesterday saying it amounts to cheating. Even tweeting out it would induce violence in the streets in a tweet that twitter ultimately flagged and said the information the president tweeted was disputed and may be misleading. Its worth noting pennsylvania secretary of state says the president knows that there is no fraud or cheating as a function of the way they carry out the process there. And one other point thats crucial. The president on the issue of the pandemic again reiterating this point, the false claim that were rounding the corner. He made those comments on the same day the Washington Post obtained an internal memo where dr. Deborah birx, the White House CoronavirusTask Force Coordinator shared with allies that we are now entering, in her words, the most deadly and most concerning phase of this pandemic. Contradicting the president s words and urging Top Administration officials to take much more aggressive action. Steph . Well, i will tell you, where i am at this polling station, people are in line six feet apart, and they are certainly masked up. Ali, what is the mood from team biden this morning . What are they telling you . Steph, sources that ive been talking to inside and close to the Biden Campaign have a vibe of cautious optimism this morning because they say they are just look at and interpreting the data. Democrats im talking to say its just about math at this point. They are looking at early voter turnout which they say seems to favor biden at this point but theyre also touting the fact that this campaign has several different paths to Electoral College victory, whether its through the midwest or other parts of the sun belt states. Theyre looking at that to say they feel pretty good heading into tonight. That doesnt mean they dont still need to turn out voters in detroit and philadelphia, but its not necessarily enough to assuage the spector of 2016 thats hung over this race the entire time. And while democrats are still skittish because of the 2016 of it all, this election is different. Its a president ial election happening amidst a pandemic. Higher early vote turnout than ever before. But also a question of what the coalition is going to look like if biden ultimately ends up winning. I was talking to a senior aide last night who was saying they dont necessarily think this coalition is going to look like the obama Biden Coalition of years past. Instead because theyre looking at the way that senior voters seem to be breaking towards democrats. Thats a bloc that typically trends more conservative. And so, of course, at the end of the day this election is a referendum on President Trump. Its been bidens message even before the pandemic began that this is a time to vote for leadership. Its the battle for the soul of the nation and biden has long been talking about the divisiveness that President Trump has brought into office with him and, frankly, that was his closing message last night, too. Listen to it. My girl, ali vitali, warming my heart talking math, math, math. Peter, ali, thank you so much. I want to look at all the key states and take you now to north miami, florida, where ellison barber is ot a polling station. Weve already seen early voting in florida nearly match the total vote from 2016. Are the numbers expected to be huge today . Hey, stephanie. Election officials in Miamidade County warned us a couple of days that they did not expect huge lines on election day because so many people have voted. Take a look at this. Some people getting ready to go inside. Were at a polling location in north miami. No lines in sight. We have been by this polling precinct a number of times, the last couple of weeks during early voting. And this place was packed all during early voting. Obviously, you can see today, not a huge line. People showing up coming in and out. A lot of that probably has to do with the fact that in Miamidade County, 64 of registered voters have already voted. Either early in person or absentee. Stephanie . Now lets head out to milwaukee where our colleague cal perry is standing by. Dont forget, wisconsin is a battleground state where joe biden appears to have an edge, but back in 2016, Hillary Clinton had an edge, too, and trump pulled out a win with just over 22,000 votes. Cal, how is it looking today . Yeah, so we have the morning rush here. Folks obviously who wanted to get out to work. A bit of a line early. Curbside voting going on. Local nonprofits trying to get in there and help people out. This was a 25,000vote difference as you said four years ago. So the Democratic Party vowed to take it more seriously. Joe biden has been here three times in his general election campaign. The dnc was supposed to happen here. Word of caution here in milwaukee. The numbers are so high and early votes are counted separately that Election Officials tell us we probably wont have results from wisconsin until 6 00 a. M. Tomorrow morning. Stephanie . Cal, thank you. As i mentioned, im here in philadelphia. I want to take you all the way across the state to western pa where my colleague Maura Barrett is. Youre in maybe the most interesting part of this state. When you look at the city of pittsburgh its likely to go to biden, but just outside, in Beaver County, where it is far more rural, coal country, those votes are likely to go in a different direction. Talk us through the economic divide where you are. Stephanie, pennsylvania is this very complicated state. Im just five hours away from you, but we might as well be worlds apart. Rural pennsylvanians in communities like these are ones that pushed back really hard against democratic governor tom wolfs restrictions around the pandemic when everything shut down back in the spring. Some of the first to go out and protest those businesses being closed and that sentiment still stands here as i talk to voters in line today. Theyre frustrated that they are seeing their communities struggling. Small businesses, restaurants, bars, closing, and they think that President Trump is the one that can bring the economy back. Its all about the economy. And whats more, here in Beaver County specifically, the largest construction project gh the state is just down the road. Theyre building a shell plant that ties directly to the president s message about fracking. People looking to bring jobs back to the community after seeing that dropoff after the steel and coal manufacturing plants went away. Depending on the president as he talks about bringing back fracking that they think he can get it done. Maura, thank you. I want to stay on pa. We know the president has repeatedly called out this state for allowing absentee ballots to be counted after election day. So lets bring in the state attorney general, josh shapiro. What are your big concerns for today, and what are you doing to prepare . Weve been preparing for months. And im not concerned at all. Weve got a plan. Were prepared to make sure that every legal, eligible vote is cast and counted. And were trying to just, frankly, ignore the noise and focus on protecting our democracy and making sure that all pennsylvanians who want to participate in this process can. And that the will of the people is ultimately reflected and respected at the end of the night. You have already been to course against the president s team multiple times in the past and won. Does it give you confidence you can handle whatever they might throw at you in the next few days . Oh, sure. Look. The president has spent months leading up to this election. He and his enablers suing us here in pennsylvania to make it harder for people to vote. To eliminate drop boxes. To have less time for people to vote. Have less time for the counting to occur. To disqualify certain ballots. To make it easier to truck socalled poll watchers in from out of county into certain communities across pennsylvania, particularly our black and brown communities to try and intimidate voters. Look, we have this president has taken us to court six times. Every single time hes gone to court, hes lost. Weve won. Weve protected peoples votes. And now as you are seeing from these lines from alquippa to philadelphia, they are lining up and making sure their voices are ord heard in our democracy. No matter what he says or tweets, these ballots will be counted and the will of the people respected here in pennsylvania. Well, to that very point, you tweeted over the weekend that when all the votes are added up, President Trump is going to lose. Does that undermine your message that you are going to count every vote and let the chips fall where they may when youre determining the outcome via twitter . Yeah, not at all. And im not determining any outcome. And ive said dozens of times that we are going to count all legal, eligible votes, and that the will of the people is going to be respected. If you go on and read that tweet, what i also made clear and what has been proven is that this president is working overtime to try and subtract votes from the equation. A candidate only does that when they know that, based on polling, just based on the political moment that were in, that they are running from behind. And the idea that we have a sitting president of the United States who is working to delegitimize our election, to stoke doubt in our process, and to literally go to court to try and eliminate eligible votes, thats the story here. Thats the challenge that we have been dealing with. The good news is for the people of pennsylvania, weve won every time in order to secure and protect their vote. They are clearly showing up to vote. We will count all those votes, and you need to know as the attorney general of pennsylvania, we will respect the will of the people no matter who they choose. Can i ask what the president and his teams rationale has been . Given that this state carried him last time, he flipped this state. Wouldnt he want every vote counted . Look, i cant get into the head of this president. Who the hell knows what hes thinking half the time. But what is clear from the record is theyve gone to court. And theyve alleged fraud. And couldnt prove it in court and cases were dismissed. Theyve gone to court and alleged all kinds of things that ultimately they were never able to prove and judges dismissed their cases. They have gone to court to try and silence the voices here in pennsylvania. And ive made clear that we are going to listen to the people of pennsylvania. Realistically, when do you think were going to get the results, and are you worried about any unrest in this city and state when we do . So thats two questions. Let me hit them both. I think by the Early Morning hours of wednesday, you will have the precinct totals, nearly 100 of them, if, you know, sort of history is what occurs here as well. In addition to that, youre going to have a very good sense of the mailin ballots, whats been counted and whats outstanding. And i think youll begin to get the picture. Certainly were ghnot going to have a full and complete count until later in the week. But the point here is that the law requires all ballots to be counted. And we are in the process of well be in the process of making sure that thats done and protecting that from any attacks that come. As it relates to violence, look, you know, there is a high cost to this president s rhetoric. His rhetoric hasnt given him any wins in court, and his rhetoric has been factchecked by you and others in the media time and time again who have found him to be lying. But his rhetoric about violence is really dangerous. He either, you know, directly gives aid and comfort to these hate groups that want to try and create disturbances in our communities or allows his words to be misappropriated by people who want to do harm to others in our community. The fact we have a sitting president of the United States doing that is really scary and dangerous. Now what i do see in pennsylvania, and i think what youre seeing in philadelphia today, is that the people seem to be tuning that out and drowning it out and showing up and voting and doing their job to participate in our democracy. Thats how it works. Drown out the noise. Show up and vote and your vote will be counted. Best way to drown out hate . Show up with love. Thank you for joining me. I know youve got a very busy day ahead. For you at home, what youre watching on the screen, not just me in philadelphia but former vp biden in scranton, pennsylvania. I mentioned it earlier. This state matters. And the last 24 hours, weve seen trump, pence, biden, Kamala Harris and again this morning, theres former vp biden in this state, scranton, pa, his old hometown. And you want to stay here all day long as voters are heading to the polls. Youll watch us throughout the day on our special coverage beginning tonight at 4 00 p. M. With Nicolle Wallace followed by chris hayes and then brian williams, rachel maddow, joy reid and Nicolle Wallace. Ill be chiming in with market results. The battle for the senate. Its not just about the president. At least ten republicans are in danger of losing their seats. What do democrats need to do to take back control . The one and only Steve Kornacki. Its his super bowl day. He joins us in just a few minutes. Plus, long voting lines and millions on edge. The reverend al sharpton and former secretary of Homeland Security, jeh johnson, join me to talk about the state of this country on this big day. But first, i want you to join me for a moment. There is so much happening right now on this election day. And its happening really fast. I know its bringing a huge amount of anxiety and uncertainty. I feel it. We all feel it. So i want you to join me. Just take this one moment together. Lets control the one thing we can control. Lets just take a deep breath together. Remember, we are at our best when we come together. Even just for one moment. Well be right back. upbeat music [narrator] this is kate. She always wanted her smile to shine. That was joe biden speaking in scranton, pennsylvania. The polls are officially open in georgia, a longtime republican stronghold thats been called a swing state for the first time in decades. Joe biden is hoping to win that state and expand the electoral map while two Crucial Senate races could also fuel voter turnout there. My colleague, nbcs Priscilla Thompson is in duluth, georgia, with the latest. Think back to the georgia primary months ago. We saw massive lines. Is that the same expectation today . Steph, good morning. The short answer is yes. Officials have said that voters should expect lines today. Now theres no line behind me right now but that was not the case just a little while ago. Folks began lining up here at 5 00 a. M. By the time polls opened at 7 00, there were around three dozen people in line. All of them telling me, the ones that i spoke with, are telling me they were worried there would be more people in line so they wanted to get here early and get it out of the way before those lines really began to stretch. You know, you ask about massive lines. That is what officials are hoping to avoid. Yes, there will be lines but hopefully not those hours and hours long waits we saw in june. And there was a stanford Study Released saying that in black and brown communities there was about a 50minute wait compared to primarily White Communities where there was only about a fiveminute wait. So those were some of the concerns that officials were hoping to alleviate. And thats why the state has hired more poll workers or brought in more poll workers, more polling machines and made some of these sites bigger in order to accommodate that influx of voters. I will say 50 of the electorate here has already voted. A recordbreaking turnout, around 3. 9 million. But there are still millions of people who could be turning out to vote today on election day. Steph . Prisil athank you. Joining us to discuss, former secretary of Homeland Security jeh johnson and host of politics nation here on msnbc, and National ActionNetwork President reverend al sharpton. Reverend al, we just heard from georgia, a state long criticized for voter suppression. What are you watching out for today and what is your advice to voters . I am watching out to make sure that there are no signs of intimidation and that there are no purging of a lot of voters. What we saw in georgia, particularly when we had the Gubernatorial Race with the incumbent and Stacey Abrams just a couple of years ago. So we have people there on the ground. National Action Network has an office there in atlanta thats looking out for that in georgia. Were also watching closely in south carolina, where Jaime Harrison is a real threat to Lindsey Graham and with mike espy. Theres a potential to see three blacks win in senate races. And whether they are black candidates or not, theres clearly an opportunity to see the senate flip, and we see things like the george floyd policing act and the john lewis voting act be able to move forward that has not been able to do so under republican control of the senate under mitch mcconnell. Reverend al, john lewis and Elijah Cummings were two warriors who fought for Voting Rights throughout their entire lives. Neither of them are here with us on this historic day. What does the moment mean . The moment means a lot because we lost john lewis and Elijah Cummings this year. And this will be the first election since those two giants were gone. The question is, did we pick up the mantel and hold what they trained and hoped that both of them would do. Both of them were so generous with their time to talk to those that would come behind. The question is did we pass the grade . We had Great Teachers. Are we great students . Are we going to protect that spro vote . Not only respect for them but for our veterachildren. If we cant rise to this moment where Voting Rights and other issues are so pregnant, that we are failed students because we had master teachers. Are those two Great Teachers on your mind today . They absolutely are. Thanks for having me, stephanie. There have been moments when the very security of our polling places has been called into question. And anyone who is concerned about the security of a polling place, first of all, i encourage everyone to vote. It looks like well have a record turnout in 2020. Already 100 Million People have cast their ballots, which is more than the entire 1996 president ial vote. Some 75 of who voted four years ago. But going back to what reverend sharpton said, think about john lewis. Think about the Edmond Pettus bridge. Think about those on that bridge who were willing to risk their own lives to secure all of our rights to vote in todays election. This should be regarded today as the celebration of our democracy where every american is focused on the same thing. One day every four years. Electing a president. And so we should recall those who gave their lives, were willing to give their lives to secure our right to vote to secure our right to participate in this great democracy. Secretary, it doesnt look like a celebration. In the last few days, weve seen dozens of cities boarding up store fronts, preparing like were heading into a hurricane. Is that something you thought you would see in our country . Frankly, it is not. And i cannot dismiss the possibility that in the days ahead there may be some unrest, some disturbance. This is a very, very emotional election. This one in particular. And no matter what happens, roughly one half the country is going to be very, very disappointed. And i think those of us who have a public voice, reverend sharpton, myself, republicans and democrats, should remind americans that the most important thing in our country is that we continue the process of a free and fair and peaceful election. Reverend al, its very likely we will not know the results tonight. What is your message to people across this country who are on edge . My message is that even if we dont know the results tonight, no matter how long it takes, we must have every vote counted. We must not let our anxiety and the impatience outweigh the fact that we fought for the right to vote, and we want to protect that. The victory will go to those of us that makes sure we had a fair and a well documented election. Then well see who the winner is, but we must make Voting Rights be the first winner. We owe that to those who fought to get us the right to vote. You must remember, women didnt get the right to vote until the almost the first third of the 20th century. Blacks didnt get the right to vote until after the civil war, and then it wasnt protected until 65. So everybody going to the polls today are not going because it was automatically their right. These rights were fought for so if we have to wait a day or two, imagine the decades that our forefathers had to wait to even have the right to wait. We can wait and we can do it with dignity and we can do it with pride knowing that people paid the price to make sure that we would have our votes counted. People waited for decades. We can wait for a few days and we can do it with dignity and pride. Reverend al, secretary johnson, thank you so much for joining us today. Coming up next you know hes going to be here. Its election day. So Steve Kornacki is at the big board with a look at what down ballot races we need to be watching as the results roll in tonight. President trump often likes to call himself mr. Market. But the markets are up based on the idea that we may get stimulus and more stability from a policy perspective. Markets are looking closely at the polls as joe biden appears to be pushing ahead and the markets seem to like it. While President Trump and joe biden are obviously at the top of the tickets today, theyre not the only ones. Were keeping very close tabs on several down ballot races. Democrats are expected to keep control of the house, but the senate, well, thats a whole different ball game. Republicans have a threeseat majority at this point and democrats need a net gain of three to four seats if they want to take control. Steve kornacki is here at the big board to break it down. First things first. I need to know this. What did you eat for breakfast . What does Steve Kornacki eat for breakfast on election day. Nothing. But i havent had breakfast in decades so its nothing new. Wow. Consistent. Thats what you are. All right. Talk to us about what races we need to be watching. Lets talk about the battle for the senate here. 5347. Look. What democrats are trying to pull off here is get biden elected, get the senate to do that. As you say, they need to gain three. Theyd need to get to 50 if they get biden as the president. But the first thing when you look at the map is there is one democratic held seat, doug jones in alabama, who goes into today as a big underdog. Remember, extraordinary circumstances got jones that seat in a spercial election a couple of years ago. Hes trying to defend it in a state likely to go big for trump tonight. Democrats need a gain of four seats in the senate and get biden as president. Where are democrats looking . Probably for a fourseat gain. Let me show you the seats where they have leads in the polling. The republicanheld seats where democrats lead in the polling. The numbers you see here are the current polling averages in these states. Democrats are the most optimistic about arizona, colorado, trying to beat martha mcsally, cory gardner and Susan Collins in maine. These are the three democrats are the most optimistic about. Remember, if they dont hold on in alabama, theyve got to find another. Probably the best prospect they have is right here in North Carolina. Thom tillis still trailing in the polls a few points. North carolina, obviously, very much a battleground in the president ial race. Especially if biden could win North Carolina outright tonight in the president ial race, maybe that would also carry over to the senate race. Give democrats their fourth there. If not North Carolina, there is this seat in georgia, david purdue, he trails by one in the polling but, remember, georgia is a runoff state. And so if neither purdue nor his opponent Democrat John osshoff hit 50 and thats possible because theres a libertarian gobbling up a few points, that goes to a runoff in january. Wont be settled tonight. Beyond these states, theres joni ernst in iowa, steve danes in montana. Theres that other special election going on in georgia. Still Lindsey Graham in south carolina. There are some other prospects. If the democrats dont get it in North Carolina tonight, that path to 50 for them with a biden win starts to get a little shakier, stephanie. I still cant believe youre doing this on an empty stomach. This guy is a beast. Steve, thank you. Well be watching you all day long. All im doing is eating. Hes doing this on an empty stomach. Still ahead how the Biden Campaign is getting people to the polls today. Ill be asking joe bidens Deputy Campaign manager Kate Bedingfield in. In im looking for my client. Im his accountant. This morning, team biden is looking for a path to victory by flipping two traditionally red states. Im talking about arizona and texas. Weve got both states covered with our team of reporters on the ground. I want to go first to Vaughn Hillyard in arizona where the number of early votes cast in 2020 already exceeds the states total 2016 count. Vaughn, youre in touch with the top biden and Trump Campaign officials in your state. What are they telling you . Good morning, stephanie. The big question from both camps is, how Many Republican voters are going to show up and vote in person today . Because when you look at the ballots that have been cast so far, well, its democrats that are outpacing republicans at a higher rate than back in 2016, which, if you are the joe Biden Campaign is positive news. But just in, this first hour and a half, we already have data here out of Maricopa County which is that longtime bellwether in the greater phoenix area. Republican voters over democrats are outperforming here in Maricopa County by nearly 3 to 1 margin. That is what republican officials here early this morning are telling me is the encouraging sign. They are calling it the lastminute red wave. But to what extent does that red wave catch up to the levels to be competitive with this Democratic Party . Remember back in 2016, donald trump surprisingly won arizona by just 3. 5 percentage points. Now the question is in these suburbs around this greater phoenix area, can donald trump stop some of that bleeding and keep his margin close enough to where he doesnt lose too much support here that could cost him here. Not only Maricopa County, but the state, stephanie. Vaughn, thank you. Lets head to houston, texas. Garrett haake, youre in your home state of texas. What are people telling you there . Hi, steph. Weve seen a slow and steady line outside this polling place in the greater houston area. This is a democratic leaning neighborhood and republicancontrolled congressional district. What i found from the voters ive been talking to is the take his phone away Trump Supporters. They wouldnt be caught dead going to a trump rally but they support the president whether its because republicanism is in their dna coming from this part of the state or whether they just like certain pieces of his policies. For the Biden Campaign, the path to victory in texas includes convincing a big chunk of those folks that they are tired enough of the donald trump related noise that theyre willing to back away from him. If theyre going to win, theyre going to do it on the back of Harris County voters. 1. 4 million texans have already cast their vote early. The margin here, what were going to see over the next couple of hours is another couple hundred thousand votes that probably need to be cast in this county before its all said and done. Democrats i talked to said theyre looking to see about 1. 8 million is the final number. That will make them feel very good about a place thats turning bluer and bluer each election cycle. And would be critical to turning this state blue for the First Time Since 1976, steph. That would be a feat. Joining us, somebody who wants to see that happen, Kate Bedingfield. Joe bidens 2020 Deputy Campaign manager and communications director. Kate, President Trump is doing everything he can to get his supporters out there voting today. How are you feeling . We feel good, stephanie. Look, we have we believe we have a lot of options, a lot of pathways to get to 270. Weve been able to bank significant amount of early vote. Weve seen record levels of enthusiasm and turnout in the early vote. Weve seen really encouraging signs, things like the fact that, for example, africanamerican turnout increased 67 over the last few days in early vote in georgia. Youth turnout increased over 20 in North Carolina. So there are a lot of really encouraging signs. And we believe weve built up a really significant lead in a lot of the states that we need to win this to win the white house tonight. So that doesnt mean were not focused on turning people out today. Obviously our gotv operation runs through. Polls close tonight. Weve made it clear to voters they had a lot of choices, voting early but also voting on election day. Well continue to turn folks out. We feel really good about where we are. Kate, people in this country, many dont feel good or at least they feel anxious. Were seeing some businesses boarding up their storefronts over concern over potential unrest. Its important to note we have not seen any electionrelated violence, at least not yet. But what does that tell you about the state of our country on this election day . Well, it tells me a lot about the way donald trump has led this country. He has spent the entirety of this race trying to create division, trying to sow chaos, trying to scare people rather than making a positive case for his reelection. We didnt hear him spending his time talking about what he would do for families across the country who are struggling, unable to send their kids to school, unable to open up their small business. Instead we hear him trying to pit americans against each other, trying to scare people out of going to the polls. What i think everybody watching should feel tremendous amount of comfort in is that, you know, the American People are going to decide the outcome of this election. Donald trump is not going to decide the outcome of this election. Thats not the way it works. This process will play out. Every vote will be counted and the American People will get to decide who will be the next president. And for everybody who doesnt want to see four more years of division and hatred come out today and vote for joe biden. You cant control what the president says or does, and he is the president. What do you do tonight if he prematurely declares victory . It just doesnt work that way. Youre right. We dont control him, but the American People get to decide who wins this election, and theres some responsibility on you guys, on the media to not take everything that he says and broadcast it as if its the truth when we know full well its not the way that the process works in this country. Voters get their votes counted. Thats how we determine who has won. Hes going to try to create distractions, hes going to try to divide. Its what hes done his entire presidency. But its not going to work. Hes going to fail because the American People are going to determine the outcome of this election. All right. Kate, thank you for joining me on this very busy morning. Were going to leave it there. Coming up next, im going to speak to some philly voters as they head in to cast their ballots on this allimportant election day. Who is usaa made for . President trump won this state by just over 44,000 votes back in 2016. This time several polls all showing biden is holding a lead here within the margin on error. Its important to remember the polls do not tell us everything. So we have voters here to tell us what theyre hoping to see today. Heather and dan parker joining me now. You support the browns, you go for anything. Heather, in terms of safety beyond today, im looking around the city and were seeing store fronts across this town boarded up. Are you concerned at all about social unrest come tonight and tomorrow . Absolutely. I think what weve seen in this whole election process has been just divisiveness and its scary, to be honest. Its scary. It doesnt feel like america to me right now. It doesnt feel like america to you right now . No. Do you think this election could change that . Absolutely. I think biden can change that . You do . Absolutely. What if biden doesnt win . My heart will be broken. But we have to soldier on. I think we have created a movement that is powerful, and well eventually make a difference.
