Your eye about passing a tax cut that benefits the wealthiest in our country. Get down to business for of every day people in our country. Isnt that heartwarming anyway. The action is going down just a block from where we are right now on capitol hill. There have been several procedural efforts to tried to find a way out of this mess, including Mitch Mcconnell urging democrats to remove their filibuster just moments ago. Though the end game seems difficult to determine with both facing hardliners that make Common Ground the hardest real estate to find night. Thats a great phrase. And while democrats seem to have taken strength from polls like this one from the Washington Post that Shows Americans are more willing to blame President Trump and the republicans for the shutdown, they might want to Pay Attention to other polls out there with some potentially ominous sounds when people are asked to choose between a Government Shutdown and protecting daca recipients. By the way, people want the government to keep going more than they keep going about daca or even chips. They care more about chips, i believe as well. All of this comes on a day when the party is having his Birthday Party in maralago. One year ago he was sworn in as the 45th president of United States. He was supposed to be raising money at maralago and instead hes at the white house sending out passive aggressive tweets about the white house. There were some commemoration of the event a year ago. Womens marches around the company, not exactly positive to mark the occasion. And a massive demonstration where participants continuing vowing to fight the president of stop of the way. Here we go. We cant have somebody like this in the white house. We have so far to go as women. Weve come so far but theres still so much to be accomplished. Lets go to Garrett Haake as well as jeff bennett. Is this about the fact democrats want to protect young immigrants who came here because their parents brought them as young children, they want them allowed to stay in this country and avoid being prosecuted, the republicans want the democrats to pay a very high price, if any price is high enough, to let that happen. Yeah, chris, i think thats a fair description. The bottom line here is democrats are fed up. They dont feel like they can negotiate with this president and this white house in good faith, and they needed a place to park the car and have this fight. And they decided its here and now. But heres everything you need to know about the state of play in the United States senate tonight. Chuck schumer, the minority leader, the leader of the democrats and the senate said he has not spoken to the president today and his office says he hasnt even spoken to Mitch Mcconnell. These two men who will be the ones who ultimately have to strike a deal that can get 60 votes are not communicating today. So there is posturing, there is finger pointing and blaming happening at the top levels of this discussion but there is not a substantive effort at the very top to strike a deal. Now, that being said, there has been some bubbling up among the bipartisan caucus of senators who would like to be perceived as having done their jobs today. About 20 senators, some democrats and some republicans, met behind closed doors for a few hours in Susan Collins office today trying to come up with some kind of compromise, some kind of deal that they can then take back to their leadership and say, hey, weve got something here that could work. But for right now Neither Party is feeling the political pain over this yet, chris, and i think thats a big reason both parties think their arguments are working and both seem perfectly comfortable to let this go on at least another day before they find some path out of this shutdown mess that theyve gotten themselves into. Garrett haake at the capitol. Jeff, what do you sense . What im hearing, its the house, its paul ryan with the tea party people, the same old problem weve had for years now, even when obama was president , 30 or so red hot conservatives or people on the who is side who will not play ball. They will not help contribute to a 218 majority in the house to get anything passed. They dont like immigrants, they dont like Illegal Immigrants, theyre willing to fight tooth and nail. Is that the fight tonight over a daca . Im hearing a little bit of what youre hearing. Over here at the white house, the thing weve heard repeatedly in public and private from white house officials is democrats support everything in this bill, why wont they just vote for it . That sort of misses the point is that the sticking toupoint is n whats in the bill, its whats not in the bill, namely the protection for d. R. E. A. M. Ers. White house officials expressed genuine shock that their strategy to insert in this spending deal a sixyear reauthorization funding for this Childrens Health initiative program. That was not enough to got republicans on board. Tear now saying that democrats care more about Illegal Immigrants d. R. E. A. M. Ers than the security of regular americans. That runs parallel to the campaign ad that trump released democrats that stand in our way will be complicit in every murder committed by Illegal Immigrants. Its really tough who imagine how language like that will help break this impasse. It highlights why shutdowns are really easy to talk yourself into and difficult to find your way out of. I think were back to the rapist charge. By the way, is the president awake . Is he watching tv . Whats he doing right now . Reporter the lights are on in the residence. Its anyones guess to what Cable Tv Network hes watching. No, its not anybodys guess. I got a good guess. Well be monitoring the days event. Im jouint by democratic congressman from virginia and Deputy News Editor alexi common and charlie geist. Congressman connolly, youve got a lot of federal employees, sort of collateral damage, if you will. Tell me about what that means to their lives, a lot or a little or i think i represent the Third Largest number of federal employees in the country, chris. Weve been through this game before. And it has a devastating effect on peoples lives. The stress, the uncertainty, will i get paid, when will i return to work . Will i ever return to work . Because its not just federal employees, its also federal contractors, many of whom do not get reimbursed after the shutdown is over. So it creates enormous uncertainty and anxiety for families, working families who are trying to be good Public Servants. So the effect is devastating. It has a Ripple Effect on businesses, especially Small Businesses that serve the federal government. You know, congressman, i remember a year ago getting some help, many years ago getting help from an irs official. Theyre not going to work now. Theyre going off on furlough. Theyll probably eventually get paid for really not working. So everybody loses. Loselose. Thats exactly right, chris. I think sometimes my colleagues from other parts of the country forget that federal workers exist in every Congressional District and theyre serving our constituents, whether it be the irs employee who helps you with your taxes or refund or park ranger or somebody who helps you with veterans care. These are Public Servants serving the American People. And its the American People who lose when we shut down. I remember an old guy who worked in the government for years who said people do their best work when theyre being dumped on. This does not make them feel anything but dumped on. Thank you so much, congressman. President trump tweeted this morning, quote, democrats are holding our military hostage over their desire to help unchecked illegal immigration. Cant let that happen. Let me go to francesco now. I think this is one of the first couple of days the democrats were winning. Everybody says everyone likes daca, young people, they came here, their parents brought them here, they want to become americans, give them a break, they didnt break any laws. But theres also this thing should the government stop over this. A couple days where it was brought back to a 5050 kind of thing. Maybe schumer doesnt think hes winning this one. I think that well really see on monday 1 00 in the morning . On monday when all those federal workers would be going to work. When we hit monday, that is when you will potentially see the workers start to see this really hit home. The thing thats been being discussed today is the idea of a threeday continuing resolution that would give them a few more days to come up with the contours of an immigration deal. Let me tell you why the white house does not want to do that. The president is supposed to go to the World Economic forum next week. Hes supposed to be leaving on wednesday. If there is some sort of a threeday deal that, would take them up right to the brink of when the president is supposed to be leaving for switzerland. And this is not something that theyre saying, but if you read between the lines here they do not want to be negotiating for nor shortterm c. R. You mean mebe like an shole country. Its embarrassing. The white house has made it clear, a diplomatic trip is something hed be able to do but the optic of him going to switzerland to hobnob with millionaires does not look good. Republicans before now and through now still think the deadline is in march. They never thought it was january 19th. How about the democrats hold on and say this fight is worth fighting for, we will fight to keep the government shut down until we get daca. We heard last night they were so closed to reaching a deal and mcconnell was going to sign off on it and the republicans said if paul ryan is okay with it, well move forward. They got the d. R. E. A. M. Ers on one side and the tea party on the other side. Senator lamar alexander, a moderate republican from tennessee spoke to reporters earlier today and compared the government shut down to chemical warfare. Lets take a look. We have no business shutting down the government as a bargaining chip. Government shutdown should be the equivalent of chemical warfare. It ought to be banned. Whenever the guy wears a sweater, you know he wants to make peace. A nice, soothing texture. There are republicans around the edges who dont want this fight. Young people brought in by their parents, theyre not law breakers, look like theyre here to stay. Can they have a good life or not . Remember a couple of weeks ago President Trump was talking about the daca solution as a bill of love. Have you noticed how the red rick has really hardened as they get into the finger pointing. They dont talk about daca anymore, they talk about protecting Illegal Immigrants. I would urge people to watch the way the rhetoric law breakers. Exactly. And crimes. So whats happening is rather than finding that Common Ground, you know, the rhetoric is pushing people further and further away. One other point from kind of a 35,000 foot level looking at this, this is the reason why people in the country hate washington, they hate washington politicians and so both parties are at risk here. The republicans that ive talked to are saying in more than national numbers, we are looking for those trump voters in those states where there are democratic incumbents in the Senate Running for reelection, you know, in states that trump won and they feel confident that they can use that line to bring the trump voters home. So i dont see a quick resolution. Lets look at the states where the trump people are really out to get democrats and grab those seats back. One, what would be certainly a high camp, certainly manchin in west virginia, donnelly , clair mccaskill, a longteam republican, theyre targeting her. Trump is still up, still strong there. Are they going to try to pick them off saying theyre pro illegal immigrant . Certainly some people commit crime here in our country illegally, but the daca people have to have a good, clean record because if they dont have a clean record, theyre not daca. Isnt that a fact, charles . Yeah, that is a fact. And thats why its sort of concerning that theyve decided because i think the daca fix should be easy. Its a humanitarian thing, close to 90 of the electorate wants to fix it. Because theyre doing this hyper targeting to the trump base, theyre now making it illegal, theyre talking about killing people. By the way, Tammy Baldwin from my home state of wisconsin is one of those as well. A lot of this is from both parties aimed at their bases and both parties are in the position where they dont want to be perceived as caving in to their bases. So every day that goes on, as they raise the stakes it becomes harder for them to back off and find that Common Ground. I do wonder about wisconsin. I think it could be up for play there 2020. I watched trump and say if these that good running into 2020, the democrats better have a strong opponent, someone of color, a mixed ticket, whatever, they better have a strong ticket thats going to beat him. Thank you to my guests. Republican charlie dent comes from the biggest swing area of pennsylvania and hes pretty open minded. Plus coming up the oneYear Anniversary after trump taking office, a hell of a lot of marchers a year ago. This is hardball saturday night live where the action is. Can i help you . Its me. Jamie. I would look at it as progress, the fact democrats are now willing to accept funding for Border Security and physical barriers. That is a step forward as well. There are some areas where we have given some ground, which is they want a broader definition of the daca population. To me that is progress. All the more reason, if were making progress, why are we shutting down the government . Welcome back to hardball. The shutdown now in its 19th hours. Denny whohoyer is trying to get extension. Charlie dent, its great to have you home, youre a sane person. Youre from lee high valley. It seems to me the democrats decided one of their main constituent groups going into the next 20 years are latinos, hispanics and they have a sentiment largely in favor of people and these daca people and liberals do, too. On the republican side, you have a very hard line, antileague of immigration people who dont want to get caught with anything that brands them with amnesty for anybody who came here. So how do we find a compromise of these adversarial views . I think theres a very easy way to solve this problem. One, we reopen the government, whether for one day or five days. We get off the treadmill of continuing rest lieolutions. But we also also Reach Agreement on the daca amendment. When it gets to the house, the speaker must allow a vote on that bipartisan compromise on daca, even if it means there will not be a majority of House Republicans voting for it. I think thats the way out of this. Thats never happened before. You had a Bipartisan Senate vote which was a really good comes, Lindsey Graham was on it, it had border enforcement and breaks for people who came illegally. Why would you get a vote now . We desperately need a Funding Agreement so we can fund our troops and other aspects of government. There a lot of republicans like myself and others who want an agreement on daca. There are plenty. Will herd of texas, tom reed of new york. There are plenty working hard to come to an agreement. Many of us have embraced the grahamdurbin proposal which we think is a reasonable step forward. Its not hard. There are plenty of republicans who will vote for this. I believe we can get 300 votes for a daca agreement but the speaker must allow the vote on the floor. The speaker is holding it up right now. The Trump Campaign put out this new ad today called complicit. Heres just a small portion of the ad. President trump is right, build the wall, deport criminals, stop illegal immigration now. Democrats who stand in our way will be complicit in every murder committed by Illegal Immigrants. What do you think . Democrats are complicit in any crime by illegal residents. I wish the president would stop using the term wall. We must gain operative control of the border. Nobody that i know believes we need to build a 2,000 mile concrete barrier on the southern border. We do need technology and drone sensors. Operational control is something we all support, i believe republicans and democrats but that has to be tied to this daca population. We can do this, this isnt that hard. I think that kind of rhetoric isnt particularly helpful. Theres too much name calling going on on all sides. We got to knock that off right now and just get down to the work, reopening the government, get the budget agreement tied to daca and ill tell you what, we can move on. Its not that hard to do. But its not a matter of policy. We know what the policy is. We just got to get beyond the politics. Not hard to do. We got plenty of votes here to pass these agreements. You know, all the countries in the world have immigration policies, they regulate immigration, some are not as liberal as we are because were america, its part of our tradition to be a land of immigrants. But why dont we have a immigration policies thats liberal, progressive and enforced. Right now we dont. The border is open, its porous and yet it depend on economic conditions. If the economy turns out in latin america, central america, we have more. But its basically up to the people down there. We dont have a regulatory system letting people become residents of the United States. Why doesnt we . Why cant we agree on a zsystem thats fair and regulated. We must fix the legal system of immigration in order to stop illegal immigration. We can calibrate the number of people who come into the country legal lily based on economic conditions. But we dont do it because the right ring said they dont want to give anybody residence who is here already, which is crazy. Were not going to throw 11 Million People out. Theyll never do that. Theyre living in a dream world so they said they wont do anything about people on the inside. They have to stop the illegal flow. Regulate it, use everify, why doesnt they just do that . They dont want to do that. Like i said, we can calibrate this. When the economy is strong, we can allow for more lawful immigration. When its weaker, we can slow it down. Thor ie eother issue is growth. If we want to grow the economy, were going to have to allow for more legal, lawful immigration to grow the economy. Japan and germany, their growth rates are always going to be limited because their populations are declining. Those countries are dying. I wish you were running the house right now, instead of leaving it. Up next, hundreds of thousands turn out for the marches across the country. The more you get out in the streets, hopefully the more people who run for office, the more people who win, the more vibrant the democracy from both genders. This is hardball. Hundreds of thousands of women nationwide took to the streets today to mark the anniversary of the womens march one year ago, where the rallies focused on Voter Registration and electing more women to public office. Joining me is yamiche alcindor. It began with the shock of trumps election. And we saw that incredible flow of people coming up 5th avenue, remember, coming down from the village from downtown . And then it died for a while. And then i guess a lot of hell broke loose. Is it back . Are we going to see more women running, more women voting . I think what we saw and we thought was a lull in the womens march and then we saw a massive gathering of women, we saw after that was organized. It was quiet, it was women signing each other to go run for races. We see a Record Number of women going up and signing up to be in city councils. 390 for the u. S. House, 49 for the senate, 79 for the governors. What it is is a continuation of the march but also people sayi saying, okay, Hillary Clinton is not going to be the president but maybe i can be. I get the sense the senate is very doable now across gender lines. Oh, absolutely. I think its the numbers and there are two things or three things that happened along the way. There was alabama, there was virginia. Those were two, a big turnout for women. I think they made a real difference, particularly in the swing areas and then there was this epidemic of Sexual Harassment and that gave another surge of energy and a sense of mission. I think youre going to continue to see this for a long time. You have this juxtaposition of the metoo moment of National Reckoning women are saying enough is enough, we are going to speak out about mis conducon and then you have a president who stands accused by as many as 17 women of sexual assault. Thats been a galvanizing issue. This bad news last week, its just complete confusion. Everything seems to be baked in the cake for him. Heres trump trying to get on top of the womens march. Beautiful women aeather all ove country today, a perfect day for all women to march, get out there now to celebrate the historic milestones and unprecedented economic success and Wealth Creation that has taken place over the last 12 months. Its infuriating for women. Hes trying to take away from us, too . Why is he trying to take that, too . But will he get away with it . I think trump from last year would have been yelling and raging at these women, making fun of them, posting about them. Herei hes almost giving them some credit. He loomed like godzilla in that debate. I dont know what you call that. And then he took that last couple steps right on her. What was that about . He didnt care about looking dangerous or offensive . He has a long history of making derogatory comments about women. Thats why you saw such a backlash in the election and marches. Some of the womens rights advocates say they dont think the Metoo Movement would have been possible had it not been the womens marches a year ago. They say there was a Grass Roots Movement that showed there are willing to organize and run for office. Trumps election by men wwas taken offense. Its a biggie. The election, say we blame on men 53 of white women. Blame it on men. If he carried the women and the men, he carried the popular vote. He didnt carry the popular vote but he carried the overwhelming white vote. Well, blame the white people then. I cannot blame wheat people. The other piece is the women of color vote. Thats what made the difference in alabama. Turnout was high. Hillary clinton is back in the action, tweeted just moments ago in 2017 the womens march was a beacon of hope in defiance. In 2018, its it is testament to the power and resilience of women everywhere. Lets show that same power in the voting booths this year. What do you think . The other mobilizing force here is the Trump Administration has taken steps to take away a lot of the work done by president obama, taking away the abortion do people believe its possible that democrats can run an allmale ticket in 2020 or do they have to split it up by the genders . I think most people think they have to split it up by the genders, including both men and women lawmakers, who dont want to go on the record saying that. Not only women but they have to have at least one person of color. Democrats have really made this their issue. I think they think we need to have diversity on the ticket. How about gender . Gender diversity. There cant be two white guys. If they had an hispanic and an africanamerican, maybe a woman or not a woman i keep looking out in california, the biggest state, even though the democrats will get that state anyway. I think what the democrats have learned, especially with the transgender woman who won in virginia, diversity cant be just a stump speech. It has to be someone on the ballot. When you say you care about africanamericans, its not because you went to church on sunday, you actual have to have supported one. Coming up, ill talk to democratic congressman don beyer who represents a lot of federal employees across the Potomac River from here next. Its inspected by mercedesbenz factorytrained technicians. They wont be back until 2 p. M. Tomorrow, a clear sign that no deal will end this shut down any time soon. It looks like the lowest bid sometime around 1 00 in the morning on monday morning. But that doesnt look very good. Congressman, you represent right across the river here, 76,000 federal employees . Yes, and theyre scared. Last time this happened, it was like 16 days long. Definitely a democrat and republican got together and did retroactive pay. Were doing that right now. Republican congressman tom whitman and i put together a big Bipartisan Coalition to guarantee. But you cant pay your mortgage retroactively or car payment retro retroactively or the grocery bill. Its such a loselose. We dont get the services out of these people and they get paid later. What is the good that comes out of this socalled shutdown . It doesnt save a nickel. It saves a little for federal contractors. They really do get hurt because they dont get paid. Pushed back a few days . Pushed back, its just blank space. They dont work, they dont get paid. What happens to a woman who gets on the shirley highway, drives into work, looks for a parking space or takes the metro when it comes to work, what is it when they hear theres a shutdown coming, do they take all the papers and put them in the inbox or put everything aside theyre working on . I think most of them still work. Theyre very conscientious. People go to the government not to make a lot of money but because theyre committed. Most people who work like to have a cadence, work monday through friday and keep it going. Weve been tracking our incoming phone calls and a huge majority have been supportive of sticking up for the d. R. E. A. M. Ers and defense department. A friend of my, paul ryan earlier today on democratic tacti tactics. Here he is going after the democrats. Senate democrats refuse to fund the government unless we agree to their demands on something entirely unrelated. They want a deal on immigration and then theyll think about reopening the government. It is a shakedown strategy that Senate Democrats have been talked into by their base. How come the speaker, the republican hes not a bad person but he doesnt tell honestly. The republicans had plenty of time the last ten years to deal with immigration. They keep refusing to vote because they dont have the hastert rule and now hes acting like mr. Innocent little lamb here that the governments shutting down because of the democrats. He could have voted on daca any time he wanted to. Weve been begging him. Its such a joke. And there are some good bipartisan bills he wont vote on. He wont because of the 30 crazies. Talking about cantaloupes and the crazy stuff they talk about, rapists. We heard last night that Chuck Schumer was having a conversation with Mitch Mcconnell talking about bringing a bill that had a compromise on d. R. E. A. M. Ers and he got a phone call from paul ryan and then he said no. Is it because they come from homogeneous white families and why doesnt they pay for that politically at home . From arkansas. Or steve king who is in northwest iowa. King is the worst. The worst. But you represent a very het w hetergeneous district. Coming up, hour number 20 on the Government Shutdown. Liberty mutual insurance. Amid this Government Shutdown and the First Anniversary of President Trumps national guainauguration inauguration, january 20th, lets bring in a panel. A political reporter for the Washington Post, eugene scott is here and White House Correspondent yamiche, she has new jobs all the time and author and commentator charlie sykes. Im going to talk to charlie. You are reasonably conservative and im not knocking it at all. What is your position if you could write our Immigration Law right now, enforcement, regulation, who gets to come, how do we decide when they come, they come from europe, asia, how do we do it, have an American Immigration system that were proud of . On daca, i think the compromise that you saw between dirk durbin and Lindsey Graham is doable. It is this balancing of being humanitari humanitarian, being open but also having security. I think thats where there is the sweet traction on it. Why not . Why is it the sweet spots with lawmakers . Its because the loudest voices at the end of the bar are driving this debate. They are prisoners of their bases. Again, you look at the whole gang of eight issue. What you do is create a path to citizenship for people who are willing to play by the rules. Tighten Border Security. I think that most conservatives, most right center left would find broad areas of agreement there. Yeah. I think thats true. Throw in enforcement and stop cheap labor. Theyre the hardest workers i know. Its not a moral issue, just regulation. Throw it in. No one wants to do the middle of the road decision. Were so partisan right now and theres not a lot of conversation between both sides of the aisle. Isnt that the president s job . I certainly think he said it was his job a year ago today. He said he wanted to be a great uniter and were not seeing it right now. When you talk about what lawmakers want along the border, depending what party theyre in, theyre not thinking about the most moderate approach. Theyre thinking about their bases. A couple years ago, 2013, he was attacking obama, saying, put them all in the room together. He had tom cotton in there with him, purdue, and they blew the whole room up. The problem is two things. One, the last time they were in a room together, we had the crazy, vulgar comment come out of the meeting. Thats continuing to be a cloud thats hanging over this shutdown. The second thing is that Chuck Schumer was in a room with him. Chuck schumer said he put a number on the table for the border wall, the thing the democrats dont want, and schumer said, i gave it to him and he renege reneges on that. Democrats and republicans dont trust each other. How can you get a deal . Its been one year since the president s inauguration last year. Heres what he tweeted about that in relation to this shutdown today. Quote, this is the one Year Anniversary of my presidency. The democrats wanted to give me a nice present. Hashtag democrat shutdown. Blame the democrats. Thats not accurate. There were five republicans who voted against the shutdown. Whether the reasons were the same or similar as democrats is irrelevant. The reality is 60 votes were needed and they couldnt even get 50. Though the polls say people would largely blame republicans for this shutdown, i think about the people ive been talking to, military families, federal workers, and theyre disgusted with washington in general. Sure. Both parties have to bear the brunt of not doing their jobs. American people will say, they cant get along. Why are we sending these people to washington . We need new people. Rodney king, cant we all get along . Its the human statement. White House Speaker paul ryans words about the republican parties when efforts to repeal and replace obamacare fell in march of last year. Heres what he had to say. We were a tenyear opposition party. We being against things was easy to do. You just had to be against it. In three months time, we try to go to a governing party when we ha have to get 216 people to agree on how we do things. We werent there today. You know that better than anybody on radio when you listen to people. It sounds like everybody agrees sometimes and they dont. But they all agree on the negatives it seems. The conservatives didnt like obama, obamacare, no part of him. Too left, the whole routine. What do they agree on now . If we really wanted to all get along together, this country would not have elected donald trump president of the United States. I mean, this is the issue that he demagogued all the way to the white house. The voices around him, the staff are telling him, you know, you must play hard right on the immigration issue. So true. I had a chance to go back and watch the ad that the Trump Campaign has released today. Sure. You played it a while earlier. Think about this, you go from the bill of love to an ad that makes Willie Horton look like an episode fromdownton abbey. Crime has something to do with economics, but its not the whole story. People coming to the country that were brought by parents are now criminals . Back to the mexican rapists. The white house Statement Last night called the democrats obstructionist losers and saying immigrants were to blame for the shutdown in some way goes back to the idea that youre scapegoating a group of people. It goes back to the comments which are the reason this deal really almost didnt happen at all. People believe theyre trying to scapegoat immigrants. Theyre trying to divide americans. As a result, we cant get things done. Its really odd also because if you listen to 2013 trump, he would have blamed 2017 trump for the shutdown. I know. Now its the opponent. Anyway, charlie, tell us about your piece for nbc think. Well, you know, there is kind of an anti antitrump backlash with previous trumpers trying to convince conservatives, lighten up on donald trump. Hes accomplished a lot for the conservative agenda. Maybe he is actually more of a normal presidency than we give him credit for. My pushback on that is to say, look, for conservatives to regard donald trump or his presidency as anything remotely like normal, you have to ignore so much. You have to ignore the attack on truth. You have to ignore the character. You have to ignore his withdraw of american leadership, his attack on the rule of law, obstruction of justice. I am not ready to normalize this presidency. Charlie, i agree with you. The moral issue, which is the end doesnt justify the means, and the means trump used is wrong. Nothing good is going to come of that for this country.
