Mainstream media, are taking out the old Ronald Reagan playbook and screaming mental stability and intelligence. Ronald reagan disclosed in 1994 that he had been diagnosed with alzheimers disease. Trump tweeted about reagan a second time over the weekend writing, quote, ive had to put up with the fake news from the first day i announced that i would be running for president. Now i have to put up with the fake book written by a totally discredited author. Ronald reagan had the same problem and handled it well. So will i. But he didnt leave it there. Kwoerkts actually throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being like really smart. Crooked Hillary Clinton also played these cards very hard and, as everyone knows, went down in flames. I went from very successful businessman to top tv star to president of the United States on my first try. I think that would qualify as not smart but genius. And a very stable genius at that. The president was asked about his tweets about Mental Fitness at camp david. This morning you were tweeting about your mental state. Why did you feel the need to tweet about that this morning . Only because i went to the best colleges or college. I went to a i had a situation where i was a very excellent student. Came out and made billions of dollars. Became one of the top business people. Went to television and for ten years was a tremendous success, as you probably have heard. Ran for president one time and won. And then i hear this guy that doesnt know me at all, by the way, did not interview me he said he interviewed me for three hours in the white house. It didnt exist. Its in his imagination. Today donald trump spent the afternoon to air force one with none other than senator bob corker. The president set to deliver remarks in just a few moments in corkers home state of tennessee. Well monitor that and bring you any news they make. First to our reporters and guests. With us from the Washington Post, White House Reporter Ashley Parker and at the table, chief White House Correspondent peter baker, politic editor for the root jason johnson, Donny Deutsch is back and david jolly. Ashley parker, let me start with you. Your reporting from the weekend really encapsulates and gives some context to the developments that i just went through. But i want to ask you, as a reporter, these are questions that are among the most sensitive kinds of questions. And other than questions i fielded about sarah palins pregnancy when i worked for her in 08, i cant imagine a more sensitive kind of topic for a reporter to broach with the president or politician and their staff than their mental stability. I wonder what the effect has been of donald trump tweeting half a dozen tweets on the topic and now making public statements about the topic. Has he wittingly or unwittingly thrust this issue to into the limelight for those who cover him . Thats a great question. I should say were reporters, not psychiatrists. Its not our job to diagnose anyones mental stability or lack thereof. But the president s own team has taken this stance of kind of concerted umbrage and outrage and indignation that they wont deal with the actual question at hand because they get mad at the questioner or the source of where the question may be coming from, which, in this case for the past week at least is Michael Wolffs book. You are right that the president , contrary to the strategy laid out by his team, addressed that question very headon and defended himself against that. But it did, in a way, make it perhaps a bit easier in the Briefing Room to pose a question that the president himself is now engaging in that discussion. And ashley, the white house announcing, i think, aboard air force one in a gaggle that the president s physical, which is scheduled for the end of this week will not include a psychiatric exam. Yes. And again, i think if you look at the way the spokesperson aboard air force one handled that question, its very in line with not necessarily what the president just did but in line with the white house strategy, which is he basically said no. It was very much a oneword answer. Hes not even going to get into why that may be a question, why some people might want that. Again, i believe its up to the white house when they when a president does go and get these physicals, how much information they choose to release. So in this case, they are saying theres not going to be sort of a psychological portion of his physical but even if there was, i dont think the white house would be under any obligation to release the results if they didnt want to. Peter baker, we started this conversation at the end of last week when the book broke and among the things the white house was pressing back against, they were mostly related to the russia investigation. There was a broad indictment of the reporters tactics. The first thing the white house did to rapidly respond, and as a former white house staffer, you covered the white house in which i worked, im always interested in response. The first thing they did was pull the logs to try to say he wasnt here that much. That ended up not being particularly exculpatory because he had been there for 17hour long visits. I wonder if you can talk about the delta between whats being says publicly. Mike pompeo confirming he can read, which we know because weve covered teleprompter speeches. We figured he can string together sentences. That defense and knocking back which is at the essence of this which goes to the heart of fitness to be the president , the commander in chief. Exactly. There are two Different Things here. Were talking about fitness versus physical and Mental Health. Were not doctors. What we can judge is the way hes conducted himself, and that conversation over the last year has led us to this point where weve seen very publicly, we didnt need Michael Wolff to tell us that his behavior at times seems erratic, volatile. We havent seen president s like that. People are looking for an explanation. Is this just who he is . Is this something physical or medical . And thats why were having this conversation. But its extraordinary conversation to have. Weve never had it. Forget the Ronald Reagan thing. It isnt even close. So the first line in the piece with your byline and Maggie Habermans line is just that. This is a president whose erratic behavior, its all and again, not one of us, except maybe donny, can diagnose this man. I dont know him. But its the public facing thing. We are examining what faces the public. And what faces the public are tweets about nuclear war, or the title of the book came from a tweet about fire and fury, raining down on north korea. Well, theres no fire and fehry in fury in north korea without grim casualties for the rest of the peninsula. This has not only been legitimized by the president s outward facing behaviors but the deafening silence of the people closest to him. You mentioned, is this difficult for reporters to even raise this question . And when we started off covering this president about a year ago, i thought this issue might come up at some point because we saw on the campaign trail, even republican opponents used words like crazy and cuke. This may come up to an issue to confront as journalists. Hes made it very easy. He came out with the tweet saying im very stable. Ive got a lot of, you know, good College Credits and so forth. Suddenly its not only easy its a legitimate and important thing for journalists to raise. What are the questions that need to be answered at this point . And its again, as a reporter who has done this for a while, i never thought wed be at this point. David jolly, i dont know if the president doesnt know, has never heard the late Michael Devers post white house really heartfelt, really honest, really frank articulations of what it was like to see Ronald Reagan age. And lets assert every president , every man theres never been a woman every president ages at warp speed in the presidency. But it was diagnosed and revealed to the country in 1994 he had been diagnosed with alzheimers. But if you go back and watch Michael Dever and some of the other people around Ronald Reagan, i wondered today, rereading Donald Trumps tweets about reagan, if he knew that Ronald Reagan was suspected to have had the early signs of alzheimers during his second term as president. Sure. In his sixth year. Youre right about how it ages a president. We saw it in bush 43. We saw it in obama. But this is a very grave conversation. It has been over 30 years since this nation had a conversation about whether or not our president was fit to serve. And thats a very grave conversation. And the important thing in this is if we are having the conversation, that necessarily means there is concern among the body politic. There is an axiom in politics, and you know this well. If you are explaining, you aint campaigning. And my apologies to my fifth grade grammar teacher, but the reality is if you are talking about the president s Mental Fitness, you are not on message regarding his agenda nor the interest of the country. And so what we are seeing among this president , whether it be true or not is based on his own behavior, were having a National Conversation that not is just challenging for the president but its challenging for the country. And jason, i want to put this question to you without sort of casting any personal judgment on it. One of the reasons you and i o were on the air together after charlottesville. Weve called out people like gary cohn, people like h. R. Mcmaster, people like dina powell. Why do you stay . Why doesnt that make you walk away when someone calls describes good people on both sides. And the explanation that sort of filtered out, what made it out into the public is they were there for the country. Is it possible they saw more of this than what were talking about, that which is public facing, and when they says were there for the country, theyre there to protect the country from him . I believe it. There are real patriots in the white house. How they demonstrate their patriotism may not be the way i view my patriotism but they want to protect this country. They think there are certain things on trumps agenda that need to be accomplished for the goofd this country and theyre willing to tolerate what is sometimes erratic behavior to get there. Its about loyalty. And the issue is this. This is a grave conversation. Its important that we step away from sort of the frazier crane arm chair quarterbacking. He hasnt sat down with a psychiatrist or psychologist. None thats necessarily communicated with the public. Im not likely to say i dont know if the guy is mentally unfit. Barack obama said this last year during the campaign. He doesnt have the temperament. I always thought that was one of the more salient things. I dont think hes mentally ill but people are catering to someone who doesnt have the temperament to do it. But you dont know the answer to the first. None of us do. You dont have the obligation peter and ashley do, journalistic responsibility to observe what is public facing and you know him. Yeah, 20 years. And i want to ask you if what you see now is the same person you saw 20 years ago. I must say im usually wrong, but on this one, a few months into his presidency, i was one of the few people along with you out there saying, wait a second. We have to start looking at this because its about behavior. While he was running, i thought he was daftardly evil but there was logic. Even the bad things he did. We could destcipher 20, 30 thin that the only explanation was hes not well. You cant you ran out of deductive reasoning. You once read the definition of a sociopath. Is that still your nobody is sdiagnosing, but i anybody looks up sociopath, stunningly youll see attributes that describe our president. Im not diagnosing him. The other thing also, i have known him a long time. I looked at an hour interview i did with him in 2007. His cadence was different. His eyes were different. And hes clearly not well. We didnt need Michael Wolffs book to do this. I love Michael Wolff. Almost went into business witht. But i dont think anybody with any reasoning would come up with any of the conclusions. Im not calling him names. Its a behavior analysis. If somebody runs through the subway naked and is throwi inin towa turds against the wall, we dont need to diagnose him. Joe scarborough has known him for a long time. Let me show you what Joe Scarborough observed with the same sort of period of familiarity having known him a long time. Well talk about it on the other side. For the past year weve had people around donald trump. Even during the campaign saying hes not mentally fit to be president. And there is such a reluctance and im not knocking the Washington Post. They are being conservative with a small c. Ive written twice in my column a quote about one of the people closest to donald trump during the campaign saying hes got early stages of dementia. He repeats the same stories. Its getting worse and not a Single Person who works for him doesnt know he has early signs of dementia. David brooks for the New York Times also reported in a column in october that senators who left a meeting with donald trump hypothesized he had early stages of dementia. Let me show you wolffs response to part of that conversation also from morning joe this morning. In the past, you know, as i said, new York Magazine when i used to speak to him, i never thought it didnt cross my mind. It crossed my mind he was a bragger and also quite funny often. But never did i think, oh, theres some this is peculiar in other worldly ways. Now that is clearly true. The repetitions, the repetitions are you dont know what to do. Ashley parker, i am not going to ask you to diagnose the president , but i do want to ask you if one of the kinds of explanations you hear from aides who are presented with just this growing pile of deeds that are, at best, questionable. And i dont know if you hear what i hear but lots of times when i Ask White House sources about the tweets, they say, oh, i didnt see the latest one. Its almost this parallel universe. I was in a sit room, what did he say . They read your twitter feed and peter and maggies twitter feed to find out what the latest is. I wonder if any of the explanation or articulation you hear about why they stay, particularly after really bad moments like charlottesville or like some of the incendiary outbursts on twitter, if you view any of that in a different light with some of these conversations taking place in the last seven days. Well, one of the explanations you hear privately and sometimes its sort of articulated very clearly and sometimes its a little bit more of a wink and a nod, but its the explanation of, i read your stories and you dont know the half of it. You dont know the tweets weve prevented from being sent, the public statements never made. The bad decisions we have staunched. And so there is a sort of god complex, or a patriotism, depending on how you look at it, to people staying and saying theyre here because they, you know, they think being close to a president who many of them will say they respect, some less so, but who they are sometimes worried about. If they think that their presence can help, that is one of the arguments as to why they stay. Its certainly a salient argument in terms of this current discussion. But this is someone all along who weve reported can be volatile and rash and erratic. There are some who say we like to surround ourselves or surround the president with ourselves, and we think we can try to temper some of his worst impulses, although, again, everyone will say publicly and privately, you cant control him. You cant control him and you dont know the half of it. Well let that be the last word in this block. Ashley parker, thank you for starting us off. When we come back, the brandnew nbc news reporting that talks are under way for a trump interview as part of special counsel bob muellers russia probe. Also ahead bannon bows down to trump saying he was calling Paul Manafort treasonous, not donald trump jr. But as bannon stays silent on the rest of the insults curled at ivanka and jared, questions about how bad he wants back into the inner circle. And oprah rising. Did she just jump two president ial politics, and should she . Beyond is a Natural Pet Food that goes beyond assuming ingredients are safe. To knowing they are. Going beyond expectations. Because our pets deserve it. Beyond. Natural pet food. He said those things under oath. Would you be willing to speak under oath to give your version of events . 100 . So if Robert Mueller wanted to speak with you . I would be glad to tell you to what i just told you. If its up to Donald Trumps lawyers, he may never get that chance. That was donald trump in june. Today his legal team is reporting they are having ongoing preliminary conversations about a range of issues including whether or not it would be possible to avoid one altogether. Thats according to three sources familiar with the matter. Among some of the options theyre considering, whether the president would be interviewed directly by mueller or his investigators, the Legal Standard for when a president can be interviewed. Logistics like location, duration and topics, and potential compromises like maybe written responses to questions instead of a formal sitdown. The president s lawyers and a spokesperson for the special counsel had no comment. Just this afternoon, the Washington Post is reporting on what apparently triggered those conversations. Mueller reportedly raised the likelihood of an interview with trump to trumps legal team. And that it could happen, quote, possibly within the next few weeks. Nbcs kristen welker, one of our reporters who broke that story, is with us from the white house. I understand you have some fresh reporting on this topic. I just spoke to a source, nicolle, who is familiar with the matter who says that there was a discussion during that december meeting that you talked about betweens president s legal team and investigators with the special counsel about a potential interview with the president. But this source stresses the fact that this was a collaborative approach. That this was a discussion about how to bring this process to a natural conclusion. So that raises the question about timeline. What is the timing on all of this . According to my source, the timing is still very fluid. Its unknown. However, there could be some type of movement in this direction within a matter of weeks. This source stresses this might not include an interview. As you pointed out, at the top, nicolle, among the range of options the president s legal team is considering, potentially submitting answers to written questions or an affidavit. So would the special counsel go for that . Would the special counsel agree to that . Would Robert Mueller be satisfied with written answers to questions . Well, that remains to be seen but weve been talking to legal experts throughout the day who say the likelihood is not very high. The reason . Because typically investigators like to interview someone in person. They like to look at body language. They like to listen to tone, and, more importantly, they like to be able to ask followup questions. Thats a critical part of this process. So all of this is under consideration. President trump was asked about this over the weekend, asked if he would commit to meeting with Robert Mueller facetoface in person if he were asked to do so. President trump said yeah and then quickly pivoted to one of his biggest talking points was that there was no collusion. So were trying to drill down on whether or not the president would commit to that. Hogan gidley was asked aboard air force one if hed commit to that. He referenced reporters to comment by ty cobb who is on the president s legal team who effectively says the white house is continuing its full cooperation in order to facilitate the earliest possible resolution. And that is what the president s legal team wants. They want this wrapped up as quickly as possible. I understand these conversations to take place on two levels. One, with the president who is eager to tell bob mueller that there was no collusion and the second with people who support the president who worry that on the questions about obstruction of justice, on the nbc news reporting that what bob muellers team is doing is piecing together a daybyday timeline from the moment sally yates informed don mcgahn that Michael Flynn may have been could be the target of blackmail by the russians that what they understand donald trump to think he would be saying is different from where they understand this investigation to have moved at this hour. Do you have any sense of whether john kelly, the chief of staff, has taken sort of the broader set of concerns to the president or whether the president thinks this is simply about getting in front of bob mueller and telling him there was no collusion period . Well, look, i think there is, of course, concern because this investigation continues. And it has been under way for several months now. So theres no doubt that there is serious concern within this administration and within the president s legal team. However, and nicolle, ive been speaking to members of his legal team for many months now. They insist that, look, there was no wrongdoing and that the course of action that makes the most sense for them is to cooperate with the special counsel. Its worth noting you havent seen the president s legal team attacking bob mueller because they think that cooperating is the way to get this wrapped up. They dont think that ultimately theres going to be any there, there. And that is what the president continues to insist and i think continues to believe. So in terms of the level of concern, i think theres concern because, of course, this complicates their ability to focus at various moments. And it complicates a whole host of other issues at the same time the legal team has had a very consistent strategy which is to cooperate with the special counsel, to give the special counsel what they are asking for and to get this wrapped up as quickly as possible. Peter baker, what i heard around the time that the president s twitter feed, theres a dispute about who typed it, but the president s twitter feed communicated that the president had to fire mike flynn because he lied to pence and the fbi. That since that moment, the president s friends, people not on the white house staff, people not on the president s legal team, at that moment, became concerned that the president may stumble into some sort of legal predicament. Call it obstruction of justice. Call it the president getting tripped up in the kinds of questions about what he knew n when he knew it. We are now in a a full National Conversation about his mental stability. I wonder, peter baker, what youre hearing from your sources about the degree of difficulty for the president to sit down with bob mueller. Thats a real question. Any lawyer in any situation, even with a completely innocent client worries the client could fall into a trap in any kind of interview like that. Anything perceived or proven to be a misstatement, a lie, whatever, can be legally exposed would be legal exposure. Weve seen already that bob mueller is charging people with lying to investigators. Weve now had two guilty pleas on that. So they do not want to send the president in there and two others indicted. Not for lying, but the point is if and bannon suggesting that Money Laundering went all the way to the top of the trump basically a criminal theres a book on. We cant disconnect these conversations. There is a book on the stands right now, Michael Wolff has steve bannon basically suggesting that a Money Laundering enterprise, a criminal enterprise was under way in the kushner trump families. What lawyer lets donald trump sit down with anybody investigating anything. Youd want to negotiate parameters. What would be the questions asked, the topics contained. How much time would you have . And we dont know whether or not a prosecutor can compel a president to speak under these circumstances . In the past, president clinton voluntarily went along with giving an interview to ken starr in order to avoid a subpoena. That could have been litigated up to the supreme court. Thats where he perjored himself. You have to heres a guy who couldnt even answer, are you stable . Instead of saying ive got 25,000 down and 4 call me unstable, whatever you want. Hes so not nimble. Theyve not let him do an interview other than hannity. They wouldnt let him do the 60 minutes interview. And instead of taking a questions on the go he always takes the bait. If there is any legal way from keeping fafacetoface, theyll do it. They are afraid of a lester holt moment. Robert mueller doesnt have to be the closer. But you get donald trump in a room and you poke his ego, you frustrate him and hes going to say something. And if it doesnt get him in trouble, it might get someone in the administration in trouble. You want me on that wall. It will get to that point where he blurts something out. Weve seen donald trump in litigation in the past. Hes been sued many times as a businessman and often said things in depositions that contradict things hes said in public. Cant get away with that now. Let me give the only lawyer at the table the last word. Jafd jolly . The common theme here is were fearful about the president s competence. If he gets under oath in front of bob mueller, it would likely be the undooing of his presidency. Ken starr says after the impeachment that his greatest concern is that he used all the levers of his own defense to defend against these charges and never recognized the importance of the office of the presidency. That is donald trump right now. And at the end of the day, the only argument republicans are going to have is to somehow suggest that bob mueller is protecting the American People and, at the end of the day, donald trump is going to try to save the Republican Party in this whole litigation. Well said. Kristen welker, thank you for your reporting. When we come back, bannon backs down, or does he . Would he dial back only draws more attention to what he left on the record from that juicy trump tellall. I no wondering, what if . Uncertainties of hep c. I let go of all those feelings. Because i am cured with harvoni. Harvoni is a revolutionary treatment for the most common type of chronic hepatitis c. Its been prescribed to more than a quarter million people. And is proven to cure up to 99 of patients whove have had no prior treatment with 12 weeks. Certain patients can be cured with just 8 weeks of harvoni. Before starting harvoni, your doctor will test to see if youve ever had hepatitis b, which may flare up and cause serious liver problems during and after harvoni treatment. Tell your doctor if youve ever had hepatitis b, a liver transplant, other liver or kidney problems, hiv or any other medical conditions and about all the medicines you take including herbal supplements. Taking amiodarone with harvoni can cause a serious slowing of your heart rate. Common side effects of harvoni include tiredness, headache and weakness. Ready to let go of hep c . Ask your hep c specialist about harvoni. Its tragic and unfortunate that steve would make these grotesque comments so out of touch with reality and obviously so vindictive. And the whole white house staff is deeply disappointed in his comments which were grotesque. With respect to the trump tower meeting that hes talking about, he wasnt even there when this went down. So hes not really a remotely credible source. Steven miller just one of trumps surrogates on the attack against steve bannon sunday morning over his explosive comments in Michael Wolffs new book fire and fury. Within hours of the counteroffensive, steve bannon extended something of an olive branch to the president walking back one comment from the book that don juniors meeting with russians in trump tower during the campaign was treasonous. The lengthy statement began, donald trump jr. Is both a patriot and a good man. Hes been relentless in his advocacy for his father and the agenda that has helped turn our country around. My support is also unwavering for the president and his agenda. My comments were aimed at Paul Manafort, a seasoned campaign professional with experience and knowledge of how the russians operate. He should have known they are duplicitous, couning and not our friends. Those comments were not aimed at don junior. For the record, the author of the book himself vehemently disputes bannons redirection. I like steve. Im grateful for the time he gave me, the insights he gave me. And i dont want to put him in more hot water than he is already in, but that statement was false . It was not directed at manafort. It was directed directly at don junior. I love steve bannon. Big tough guy. Revolutionary. How fast they crumble. They fast they crumble and fold. What did he say about don junior . Don junior will be cracked cracked like an egg on television. Steve bannon, the people charging up the hill. This is a good point. He didnt walk back the rest of it. Called ivanka dumb as a brick. Went after jared repeatedly. Hes lost it. I think he said hes lost it. David jolly, again, our legal expert for the hour. He also painted a picture that suggests, as i said before, that the Kushner Family operation is essentially some sort of criminal enterprise or at least, i mean, he talked about diamond dealers from israel. Theres an account in the New York Times today, i think, about some of Kushner Companies ongoing entanglements with in the middle east. Steve bannon knocked back one teeny itty bitty teeny tiny little line after having hundreds of passages that completely throw all of the trump kids under the bus. For Michael Wolff, he pulled the curtain back on everything we know. He affirmed the suspicions in the reporting of so many people that have done great work over the last year, who have had a glimpse at the trump world, if you will. Heres the interesting question for steve bannon because we know that he and donald trump are going to make up before the 2018 cycle. We know theyll get behind candidates. Thats an absolute truth. But steve bannon could be the one person that undermines Michael Wolff. He did wolff did the book on deep background with a lot of sources which means it reads like fiction, even though its based on sources. If steve bannon starts to come out and say, i didnt say that, thats wrong, thats wrong. And he does that to endure himself to donald trump, he could begin to undermine what was the kitty kelly book about Ronald Reagan. And it will be interesting to see how that plays out. Does that work, though, if some of these things start to bear out. At the beginning of the me too conversation, the conversations were as cautious and awkward as the one we had at the top of this show about even talking about a president s Mental Fitness. But there are some people, i think i have some colleagues who have said on the air this book is like a dam breaking. And at first you just have bob corker calling donald trump unstable and incomp tent. Then camp clapper saying i don trust him with the nuclear codes. Then a guy who made 17, at least daylong or halfday long visits, camped out in the west wing. It could have the effect youre talking about and certainly that will be Steve Bannons effort. And i agree. They are more likely to reconcile because one doesnt really exist without the other. But the other scenario is some of these anecdotes are corroborate by others. Certainly so. And the general theme, what Michael Wolff was trying to make the point in all of his media rounds is even if you try to impugn some of the very specific words, the reality is were now having a National Conversation about the president s fitness. The people who surround him are surrounding him sitting sycophancy. So what Michael Wolff has done is he has affirmed this grave National Conversation were having right now. And in that, he has done a true public service. The fact the president continues to push back on this only makes it more obvious that Michael Wolffs work is of great merit. And i suggested over the weekend that i thought maybe it would be so trumpian to have some sort of loose arrangement with Michael Wolff where he is trying to help him. He always talks about how hes helping the failing New York Times. With their subscriptions. He said to your colleague michael schmidt, hes going to be reelected because hes so good for our ratings. Do you think donald trump is going through the motions in fighting back or do you think donald trump feels simply betrayed by people talking about what theyve seen . I think its all of the above. I think hes feeling the russia investigation, the wheels the walls closing in on him. And i think once again, the book is the book. But the behavior of the past 13 months speaks for itself. So we dont all of a sudden, i dont see this book as maybe its permission for the media to talk more about it, but theres nothing in this book that for the somewhat kind of focused person following this, that you go, oh, my god, this is wow thanks. I mean, so i think this will continue. Yes, and it will only grow. And i think you saw trumps very, very awkward reaction because he is feeling cornered in. Let me ask you to do something that i cant believe i am going to do this, but let me ask if you agree with john pedoritz who says it reads like fiction but none of it rings false. That makes perfect sense to me. It reads like a dumbed down version of house of cards. And i can see why theyre embarrassed by it. But the reality is, if he didnt ge have the way he does, nobody would believe it. Nor behavior allows people to believe whats in the book. Up next, the curious case of the president s shrinking schedule. If yor crohns symptoms are holding you back, and your Current Treatment hasnt worked well enough, it may be time for a change. Ask your doctor about entyvio, the only biologic developed and approved just for uc and crohns. Entyvio works at the site of inflammation in the gi tract and is clinically proven to help many patients achieve both symptom relief and remission. Infusion and serious allergic reactions can happen during or after treatment. Entyvio may increase risk of infection, which can be serious. Pml, a rare, serious, potentially fatal brain infection caused by a virus may be possible. This condition has not been reported with entyvio. Tell your doctor if you have an infection, experience frequent infections or have flulike symptoms or sores. Liver problems can occur with entyvio. If your uc or crohns treatment isnt working for you, ask your gastroenterologist about entyvio. Entyvio. Relief and remission within reach. A brandnew report in axios exposes juicy new details about the president s incredible shrinking schedule. Quote, the schedule says trump has executive time in the oval Office Every Day from 8 00 a. M. To 11 00 a. M. , but the reality is he spends that time in the residence watching tv, making phone calls and, yes, thank god, tweeting. Trumps days in the oval office are relatively short from 11 00 a. M. To 6 00 p. M. He spends a good deal of time making phone calls and watching cable news in the dining room adjoining the oval. Then back to the residence for more phone calls and more tv. The panel and david jolly are all still here. Peter baker, this was amazing to read in print but not particularly unobvious based on all of the commentary that he provides about things that you could only know if you were watching that much cable television. He tells us he doesnt watch television. He live tweets fox. The Mental Health tweet came ten minutes after a fox segment on media questioning his mental stability. I dont have any independent reporting on this. The white house saying he works very hard but its clear john kelly had wanted to get him to the office earlier because they felt like once he was at the office they could have meetings, briefings, keep him off twitter and help him be better informed and he seems to be losing that battle if this report about his schedule is right. I heard from someone who had been in the white house and kelly says to the person you want to see the president and the person says, isnt he busy . And kelly says, no, he has no schedule. Thats whats there. I thought for the first time about the word tweet going back to all of our previous segmentes in terms of mental stability. What a gift it is. Without the tweeting, there would be a shield around all of this. The tweets right now, which all of us, oh, take the tweets away, are actually the worlds best friend because thats the transparency. Interesting you say that. One of the founder of axios, someone ive known as long as peter baker because he covered the bush white house, he and i got into it about why i cover the tweets. And he said just ignore them. I made the point, they are the only truly unfiltered contemporaneous notes on this presidency that we have. So as troubling as they are, they are invaluable, no . They are. And they are damning. You only question a president s allocation of time when his numbers are down and his disa disapproval is up. When the American People are questioning his ability to govern, thats when you question the president s time. Sure you can take cheap shots into what does it cost to send air force one to a golf course or hawaii but when were damning a president s allocation of time its because we dont approve of what hes doing. His tweets are the singular glimpse into his soul. We see his immaturity, lack of competence, lack of command of policy, and we see his own selfcontradiction, his undermining of his own cabinet secretaries and declarations of war. The tweets are policy, and the administration has suggested that they are statements of policy, and theres no apology to get us past that. Everything he does seems to be an overcompensation. Im really, really smart. Im really, really stable. Im really, really busy. If he was actually doing these things, he wouldnt have the need to say them. We are almost a year into a presidency and we dont know what this guy does all day. Theres a country to run. There is a world to lead, and he doesnt seem to be doing that job. Thats what frightens everybody. What a ceos explanation should be is, hey, look. Theres very little isis, 25,000 dow, 4 unemployment, im building the infrastructure. Count the hours, call me what you want. This is whats getting done. Hes got a simple message that the ultimate messenger cant even understand that shuts everything up. Well, i would consider and as chris can tell you, i threw out the name of a friends mine, shes great. Some thought a good idea, some didnt. I said, oprah. Oprah winfrey, who is really great. I think we would be a very formidable team. Oprah definitely wont be president trumps running mate next time around, but could she be the one to take him couldnt . Fwr winfrey was honored at last nights golden globes. Her acceptance speech sparked a frenzy. Five words that literally made history. The winner is sidney poitier. Up to the stage came the most elegant man i had ever seen. I remember his tie was white and, of course, his skin was black and i had never seen a black man being celebrated like that. Run for president in the climate in which you find yourselves. The climate we find ourselves, kardashians, americas version of royalty and donald trump as president. A reality star and we are talking about his mental ability. Why not oprah . She can run if she wants. Like i said, we talked about this offcamera. Because you get exposure doesnt mean people will like you. Lots of people covered kaine and it wasnt a guarantee. Oprah wants to run, so be it. The rock can run. Corey booker, and Jeff Zuckerberg keep forgetting. He could run for president. Ohhish gosh but i think the problem is, the problem is all of this started honestly with president obama. Once they saw that a black man with a paper thin resume could get elected, everybody thought they could run. Its not his fault but thats how it happened.
