corps. what's at stake this week ahead of some critical votes? let's begin with philip bump, a national correspondent for "the washington post." let me start with where we stand today. what are the prospects for these two bills look like? does it look strong in terms of passage for either, neither or both? >> one of the things we haven't seen a lot of is good whipping on this, whipping being the process of counting the votes that are going to come into play. one of the big questions that's always surrounded the bipartisan bill is not only will republicans line up and agree to this or at least enough to be able to prevent it from being filibustered which is to say ten republicans. but will all democrats be on board with it? there is some concern in some parties that there will be some democratic senators or in the house, some democratic represents who will not be willing to go with the bipartisan bill. it's hard to say. i think it is probably like that
