every corner in kabul. they were not hostile to us or anyone we saw. the taliban claimed to have found tolerance since they were in power two decades ago. the old tri-color afghan nag still 90s, and kabul for now is calm. traffic cops from the deposed u.s. backed government return to work. the taliban move among them and they're giving the orders. there is an old taliban expression that the americans have the watches and they have the time. it seems they were right and the americans' time is about to run out. here if kabul, the taliban are extremely confident. confident that they won, that they are getting the united states to withdraw on their terms and they are very well armed. so people here in afghanistan now have two choices. get out, try to get on up with of those last flights in these last few days, or stay and accept the taliban at their word that they have really changed.
