World leaders and oversee welty have had invitation, as the people from across the uk who have just made a difference. Like kim use one of the finest boldest experts the british army has ever seen. I dont think it is about just being in the absolutely humbled and the fact that ive had that invitation. But i dont think it is just about i think it is about the country coming together to remember the life of the queen. Westminster abby has hosted Royal Funerals for nearly 1000 years. And was central to her majestys life. It is worship matt married and it is where cornish took place. If you are in any doubts as to how big the solace. Well, it is expected to be the worlds most watched broadcast of alltime. To clear the route, theyve even taken down some traffic lights. Many camped here overnight to see and feel the spectacle. The order confirms that Prince George and Princess Charlotte will join The Royal Family during the coffin procession into Westminster Abbey. The choir will sing a special song originally composed for the queens coronation. Two lessons will be read by the Secretary General of the commonwealth and by the Prime Minister, lustrous. The queens owned by people be Playing Sweep very sweep as they stay in the coffin and procession out of the abbey. And during the committal, the choir will sing the russian tintagel of the departed. Which was also some for the funeral of the duke of edinburgh. Well our Katie Spencer is with me this morning. Good morning to casey. It is going to be a very emotional day. What can we expect to see . Very occasionally, we have in our lives these where we were moments. I think for anyone who is of an age where they are old enough to remember the events of today. And of the last week and a half. This would be something that stays with people for the rest of their lives. In this country very very few people that will remember an event at the scale and 1965. Winston churchill was of course the last big states few know that we had. This is going to be even bigger than that. Were expecting already in town. 500 foreign dignitaries visiting royals Prime Ministers, president s the world has descended here on the capitol. And the world will be watching as well. This is a fluid just a cool undertaking on a scale that very few people will have ever witnessed in this country. The Biggest Police operation that weve ever seen. 10,000 Police Officers involved. 4000 Military Personnel. Involved in the procession. 3000 in london. Alone. The level of interest that there has been in this country and Around The World for people who have wanted to pay their respects to our former monarch. This, of course is the final act of mourning. Its been an incredibly strange and incredibly moving last week and a half in terms of what we have seen and how the public mood has really felt. I think that for many years i meticulous of Love Planning has gone into this moment to what the public reaction was going to be. And whether or not youre someone thats been moved by the emotion of the loss of Queen Elizabeth ii, or somebody that is just been fascinated to witness this moment in our history and the ceremonial traditions that we have seen. It has just been incredibly moving, hasnt it . To see how people have reacted. And really, to get a sense of how important the queen was to so many people. Youre absolutely right. We are seeing that very public outpouring right now arent we . As these final public mourners file past slowly the queens coffin. Theyre in westminster. Pausing for that moment of reflection. And, as you point out. There is of course, an expectation of the public will come up to mark the passing of the queen. To show the respect. But im not sure we quite expected people to be queuing up to 14 hours overnight. In the cold. To kind of do it it has been a grueling ordeal for people who have made this almost pilgrimage, if youd like to see the queens coffin. To come to Westminster Hall. To witness this moment of history. And these are the people who were told, yesterday, well there is a chance of not make it into Westminster Hall to see this moment. Can you imagine if youre one of the very final people making your way through in this last hour. What a special moment for these people who have thought about whether or not it is worth it and come to the conclusion that, yes they would queue through the nights, in the gold just to be here, just on the off chance that they are among the final few to make it into Westminster Hall. Casey, thank you for. Now this is the scene in Victoria Tower Gardens. People are seeing the final stretches of getting into Westminster Hall. And lets bring in our alley for to who was in Victoria Tower Gardens for us this week. Good morning to ali. As i said for the people there in the final stretch. Before we get into Westminster Hall. What is the feeling of those who then up to speed this morning . The morning kamala. I think they do feel really lucky. Because i just spoke to a member the security here. Ive just been told that Victoria Gardens has now closed, completely. To q. So i know and that hasnt made it this far, this is the final stretch. And this long journey to get to see the queen Lying In State. Anybody that isnt on this screen right now is not going to get that opportunity so, these as you say are some of the final few people that would get that opportunity. I think we have spoken a lot about the queue. Weve seens extraordinary pictures. Weve almost gotten used to seeing this five mile long stretch across london. But its worth reminding people that this is something that will not happen again for a long, long time. This is been an extraordinary moment in history. Everyone here will be able to say that they played a part. I was just speaking to a couple of women who came all the way from san francisco. Lets ask these people. Coming up for you guys are coming from today . Weve come from west london today. How long have been cool for . I think for about now hours now. How are you feeling because this garden has now closed and you are somebody last people who look at this opportunity. We are super lucky to get through and were just really looking for to getting through now. To get through Security Impairment spectacle in elizabeth. What is a feel like to see the whole thing being this close . I think it is going to be quite emotional. But we are really looking for to getting in there. Youre getting a bit emotional now as were getting towards its been a really long night already. We ask along even doing . Says nine. Oclock 9 00 last night . Are you feeling . You are some last port make it. I know i have a ship helping out with a crowd control. So ive got a very long day. But thats its going well. Gosh, well done for. Lots of reasons. Obviously the pay my respects. I lost my mom last year as well and i know she wouldve wanted me to be here. So, definitely. Does it all feel right now that you can see the whole . I dont think well be right little it is inside. We are panicking that we werent going to get in. There are a lot of people back there and im not sure theyre going to be able to get in. I hope so after all like 19 hours, you know. But thank you thank you. Of course, as youve been Hearing Dignitaries from Around The World are going to be sending on Westminster Abby. Not far from where we are. Where the queens coffin will be making its way for the State Funeral combination of this extraordinary period of mourning. But as for people here today, and youve been here all week. People have patiently waited in line for their chance to see the queen, but they can always say that they played a smooth point in history. Im sure this is something theyll be telling their families for a long time. Thank you. What has they Lying In State and the ceremonial part of the day begins, with the queens coffin moved from Westminster Hall for the Funeral Service. Cant really takes us through the first part of todays proceedings. The funeral of Queen Elizabeth the seventh will be held at Westminster Abbey. The Resting Place of monarchs, and the traditional fight of State Funerals for centuries. Ahead of the service, a Funeral Procession Escort the queens coffin to the abbey from the Houses Of Parliament. Where it has been Lying In State. The coffin, drape with the royal standard. Well be born on the State Gun Carriage of the royal navy. The Royal Marines would leave the procession around parliament square. Behind, senior members of The Royal Family, including her children and the king. Will be accompanied on the journey to the abbey by The Sound Of Mass Pipes and muffled drums. The procession will enter The Great Quest Door Of Westminster at exactly 11 00. Marking the start of the Funeral Service. The queen will be carried past the grave of the unknown warrior, and down the nave of the abdi. Following as they pass the old nate gilded entrance to the choir. Will be the archbishop of canterbury, and other senior clergy. And then, the coffin. Followed by the king, as senior members of The Royal Family. But taken to the very heart of the abbey, the lantern and placed in front of the high altar. Members of The Royal Family will be seated alongside. Behind them, in the trans apt, heads of states, leaders, and royalty from Around The World. Sitting opposite, holders of the pit korea and george cross. Their counterparts from the commonwealth, and members of the nations highest orders of chivalry. Well the Prime Minister, former Prime Ministers, and the leaders of scotland, wales, Northern Ireland will sit in the nfc squire stores. The Duke Of Westminster will be the service, and blessings well be right by the Prime Minister and the Secretary General of the commonwealth. A sermon will be given by the archbishop of canterbury. At the end of the service, the last post will be sounded from the gothic splendor of the lady chapel. The Resting Place of Kings And Queens, including Elizabeth The First who goes back 700 years. A two minute silence will be observed throughout the United Kingdom. Before the astounded by trump orders of the Household Cavalry. In the abbey the National Anthem will be some. The final acts of the service will be a procession in the queens coffin back to the choir and along the knife, out of the abbey and back onto the State Gun Carriage before it is taken to windsor and her final Resting Place. Lets bring back in Katie Spencer now to take us through some more of what we can expect today. Katie, of course, the state finishes at 6 30. It is a couple of hours before the funeral begins proper. What time does it start and was the first we can expect here . Again, everything has been meticulously planned and timed out as well. We know that at 10 44, exactly, the queens coffin will be moved from Westminster Hall by gun carriage of the royal navy. And a slow procession will begin on the 16 minute journey to Westminster Abby and it isnt that far away both of these locations. So it is just a short journey that they will be making. Everything has to be absolutely timed. Out theyve had very few moments to rehearse what we will see today. But it is going to be such a spectacle to see. We know this slow march will take place at 75 paces per minute. It is time to perfection. The 200 musicians of the mass Pipes And Drums from the scottish and irish regiments, the brigade us, the r. A. F. They will be leading the procession. The music will be very solemn, very serious. Then itself, that will be incredibly moving. As for the details of the service itself. We do know a bit more. Because yesterday it was published in the evenings, the order of service. We know that 18 members of The Royal Family will be attending and walking with that procession. Among them, nineyearold Prince George. And seven year old Princess Charlotte will be joining us as well. Very young but i think, clearly it is important for them to be there for their parents. They want their children to be a part of the procession and this moment in history. Some of the details, we know the queen herself was involved in planning one of the him still be some as the lord Is My Shepherd and i shall not once. Which was also some at the queens weddings. So it was particularly poignant song to include within the service for her. But it will be an incredibly spectacle to witness as her coffin is transported from Westminster Hall by gun carriage. And then taken to Westminster Abby. Watched on, of course by these Prime Ministers and president s from Around The World such as an important moment really within this morning process within this mo this final act of mourning, really. The last day of the ceremony and the tradition and people Around The World will be tuning in. Once it does leave, how quick that from you is what will happen next. Because once it finishes in Westminster Abby there is a procession up to the tree arch at hyper queen where they will be taken on and on to windsor. To windsor, yes, it will be moved by her and when it arrives in windsor in the afternoon, just after 3 00. It will be driving very slowly. Across to windsor. So course, another opportunity where we may see people we are expecting people to be live in the streets. To catch one final glimpse of the queens coffin as it is moved for the service in windsor. When they arrive in windsor, then does become more of a private ceremony in the afternoon and into the evening. When she will be entered in the evening, alongside her husband prince phillips. Just incredibly emotional and poignant, particularly for the family. Thank you very much for that. For now these are the latest live pictures from katie said later on today and this evening there will be a private Family Service or her majesty the second. Now. As we have said hundreds of World Leaders, including royalty, politicians, and diplomats are in london preparing for the State Funeral. U. S. President joe biden went to Westminster Hall and joined mourners at the Lying In States. Along with his wife, doctor jill biden. And the u. S. Ambassador to the uk. The president described the queen as decent, honorable, and all about service. Ebbed the canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, is of course here to. Unlike many World Leaders he and his wife sophie walked to Westminster Hall with the public to pay their respects. He described the queen, we first met as a child, as what if his favorite people. President emmanuel macron, france, is in attendance with his wife brigitte. He also observe the Lying In State and walks to westminster rather than traveling the motorcade. Of course welty from Around The World arent attendants. And couldnt the emperor and empress of japan. And a highly symbolic move, and prayer noted he throws my case first foreign trip since he was crowned in 2019. Also attending the line and state head of the State Funeral where King Philippe the six of spain, theyre expected to be joined out today service by the former king and his wife queen sofia. We know the Military Procession the funeral brought travel through whitehall and along the mouth. Where huge crowds have been gathering for days. Lets bring in our asha honig who was in the round for us this morning. So asha people have been gathering there to be a part of his story. A very good morning to you. Yes indeed, thats why thank so many have gathered this morning and were looking at a few hundred and people have been camping out, as you say, for a number of hours. Were talking an excess of 24 hours here. Tense, months of captures, lots of those foiled cars to keep that heat in. That people are still trying to get a few hours here while they can as approach that bright light but hopefully they might be able to excuse us at this time in the morning. Someone who has made the journey here from the United States is rebecca fred word. You do not look like youve been up since when i am this morning. Talk to us about the importance of being here today. Well, where british art way. So it was very strange when you learned that the queen has died. We all touch with the forever. She was an amazing woman. But i think charles is going to do a phenomenal job anyway. It didnt feel right in the states because nobody was morning like we are mourning. So as soon as i got off the plane you had that sense of a whole nation coming together to mourn the loss of such a wonderful woman. Seven decades of service is remarked on something weve heard so much about over the past few days. Thoughtless about seeing her Lying In State. That was a big moment for you. Its all been really poignant. The until you hear everybody keeps saying it. And we mean it. I didnt know her, none of us knew her. But shes been part of our lives forever. And especially when you move abroad. You hold on to those things that are fundamentally british. There isnt anybody more fundamentally british than the queen. So you really do feel like youve lost Somebody Special to you, who was there forever. All of us, he worked totally young. Weve only known her. Even though it is not a family member. It is somebody whos been in our lives, constantly, for our whole lives. Not to tell you how old i am. Will you got a few hours to go and i really appreciate you speaking to us. Lets take a look down the mail and have a look at how the people have exactly stepped out today. Just look at these people. What he has, theyve got lots of Firm Clothing as i mentioned to you. Raincoats, just in case, not quite expecting it to rain today. Though again people have sleeping bags. A few them starting to wake up, they wouldnt start getting their coffees and start having their breakfast. But on the other side of those barracks, theyve all got flights up. Someones gut fairy lights over there. Someone theyre using plastic bag as a pillow. Lots of people keen to share this moment together. Theres someone here just sleeping by a tree. This is dedication. People talk about this and this really is. Lets see if we can grab a lady here and were start to talk. I, from sky news, sorry to talk to you. He talk to us about why youre here today . We just got urban our go. Caught up at three. We have done the long night like everyone else here. But we really felt that we had to be here. Really, good sport. Talk to us about being part of this moment. I mean we are talking about this being a moment of history. Is it going to be quite emotional . Definitely a motion i. Think she just been there the whole time. And shes done an incredible job for the last 70 years. As soon as we could come down here its been a bit of a Family Tradition as well. Mom came along, and she camped out for charles and dianas wedding. Then we came down with my mom for women capes wedding as well. So her moms not going to be here today, so shes at home. But we thought we would definitely come here and hopefully continue to do it. That is a lovely. Keeping up their tradition. What a day to be part of as well. Thank you both so much. Lots of people here also have these blankets. Those are the blankets are headed out there on the line of state q but people also made that journey and many of them are here today to make the most of this moment in history. All right thank you. We are less could be a better idea of that historic Funeral Procession. Which begins in westminster and ends at Windsor Council heres all the details. After the end of the Funeral Service, outside Westminster Abbeys great western. The queens coffin will be mounted on the State Gun Carriage of the royal navy. A huge procession involving members of The Royal Family will travel to whitehall. Hundreds of representatives of armed forces from across the services, and commonwealth rounds. Will process across course cards and on to the mound. The queen will then be drawn past Buckingham Palace for one final time. Before the procession, armed forces lining the route, arrived at Wellington Arch. There, i part corner. The coffin will be transferred to the state house. And the Funeral Cortege will leave for windsor. It will travel through west london, beyond the limits of the capital, and passed Heathrow Airport before arriving at Windsor Castle. There, and you procession will begin at a long walk. And move into the castle. The hearse,s soldiers cordes, and The Royal Family. Will proceed to the steps of st. Georgia chapel. The very church where the queen said goodbye to her husband, Prince Philip. Inside, The Royal Family, foreign royalty, the Prime Minister, and nights of the garter were gathered for a committed service led by the dean of windsor. In the Historic Chapel choir, at the end of the service. The queens most Senior Adviser the Lower Chamberlain Will Ceremony Leap Break his role in office and place it on the coffin. And then, one less act. The National Anthem would be some, god save the king. Mark in the final moment of the nations farewell to her majesty, Queen Elizabeth ii. We becky cocktail is at Windsor Castle for us this morning. Good morning to you becky. Just lay out for us, what will happen once a queens coffin rise in windsor. We as youre just talking about then. The coffin in the state will pass along the long walker out the st. George askap chapel behind me. That is where the Committal Service will take place. And people have already started arriving. Trying to get a good spot. So they can view that procession. Theres even a fish and chips than open. Serving people. Not sure who would want this and ships at this time in the morning. But some of the people whove been here over nights are willing to talk to me. Jane and mattie, mormon daughter from west sussex. And this is betsy. Just talking about last night. You are here from 10 pm. The we came this morning we and we came last night right about 10 00. We saturday very small camp. And we proceeded to trying to get some sleep. I didnt, the children did. It brothers managed to sleep. Why are you so keen to get a spot to be able to see what is happening . We have been able to see so far with work that meant so that we just come and pay our respects for this part of history. Hallie maybe notch john and wireless it with the whole pomp and ceremony but we just might be part of history in this day and perry specks as well. What about you . When your mom said lets go and sit at from 10 pm were did you want to be a part of this as well . I think its because the Diamond Jubilee with my mom. So we just carried on, really. Big celebration for you as well. And terms of this part of the process i guess you all are going to witness what is the end of this kind of collective National Mourning and the final bit before she is laid to rest and st. George chapel. Do you think it is going to be emotional . Ive been most all week. Pretty emotional. So i think it will continue to be. Yes its quite a big moment. Its going to be a poignant moments. And shes like the late rest later this evening. Have you been speaking to the people here but other events . I would not take you to see the queens coffin. People are kind of make friends and bonding. An absence of much else to do. But has that been something that has been happening already . Those people trying to get some sleep so im sure that will happen as more people arriving and gets more crowded here. If youre gonna have some fish and chips for pictures . Im definitely have some tips for breakfast. What it is still fairly sparse here. There are some people who are gathered out. This place is going to be extremely busy later. Possibly the busiest that windsor has ever been, the long walk of capacity for the 90,000 people and the local authorities here expect even more people may gather. Like for that enjoy breakfast whenever you have. We will have special coverage of the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth ii at Westminster Abbey. And all events throughout the day, from 9 am here on sky news. S. In the past ten days the king has traveled from edinburgh to belfast and cardiff and back to london. Meeting thousands of people along the way. We met with warmth and affection. But once the wave of grief and the motion has passed. So might some of the goodwill towards the new monarch. Our royal correspondent, randi mills reports. God save the king. The change was immediate. For a man who always knew his time would come the cameras allowed in like never before, so we could understand how he felt about her and what he has taken on. As the queen herself did some unswerving devotion. I do know, solemnly pledged myself, throughout the remainder of the time got grants me. To uphold the constitutional principles at the heart of our nation. The british High Commissioner to barbados was charless Deputy Private Secretary for four years. And he believes the man he knows well has acted quickly to squash suggestions that he will be a meddling monarch. As king he will do things differently. Its a very different of. But i think we still see those same instincts and that same desire to want to and use his power appropriately. But she uses role in a way which makes a difference to this country. Makes a difference in the commonwealth. And does a service. I, charles, principles. There are no rules for how we should rain but he had the best of teachers. The queen guiding him towards the royal would eventually be his. It is shaped to man who always keeps us Police Officers on their toes, and walkabouts this week coming naturally. As he showed us, he wasnt just going to do was expected. But what matters to him. We have an additional duty. This is fully recognized. But to be no left little and gently discharged. It is to duty to protect the diversity of our country. On the world stage. She will be a hard act to follow. Very rarely putting a foot wrong. The rolling cameras havent always been as forgiving for her son. Ink wells and pence bearing the brunt. And in some ways, it showing why the new king, and the institution still has work to do. And why the new monarch has needed his family. Getting the right zone in this moment was always going to be potentially difficult for king charles. All we have seen this week is how the entire family, also want to step up to help. And every one of their tributes, to the queen, they also mentioned their brother, their father, their uncle. And their support for the new king. Publicly, he has united them. But to is still the queen that has brought the world together. Now that heaviest responsibility rests with her son. Finally, it is his time to lead. Rihanna male, sky news, in Central London. Also with us this morning to give his thoughts on todays proceeding is the royal photographer and biographer. Whos photographed every member of The Royal Family, good morning to you thanks for being with us. So previous huge cases like this probably can prepare us for what were going to see in the coming hours today. I think, historically, youve got to go back for a massive event to the coronation of the queen in 1953 and the funeral of her father the previous year. Its part of a tradition of fast public displays that came about, probably starting with a dime jubilee in 1897. They were choreographed and by a man called by cant eco who worked for the court. And they further develop this area. He was a great showman, Queen Victoria son. And they redid the front of the palettes but why didnt the mouth to create a ceremony route way. And essentially, it was quite narrow. Now it is this very repressive Ceremony A Route that goes through the arch or through horse guards parade. Into why tort and around to Westminster Abby. So they created this arena and theyve used it on every Royal Funeral. On every coronation sense. And its not just seeing it here in person because people will of course be line bullet walk here in windsor. In terms of the way that it is broadcast. The way that it is recorded for posterity. Is very important as well. All that is very well designed. Absolutely. Ill say too early my mother watched a coronation with all the neighbors crashed into one house around a tv that was about nine inches. You know, a little tiny thing in Black And White flickering image. But still felt part of it. For previous generations listened in on the radio. Or the wireless, for the last coronation before that. But today, weve got all this incredible helicopters nerveracking with cameras. And so it would be the funeral of a Massive Public event that will be broadcast internationally. How does that staging, do you think, sort of influence, perhaps, the way that this moment is going to be marked. That was really struck with that moments when the coffin was taken along the mound with the rhythmic sound of those trumps. All that sort of stuff is vitally important as she is the biggest celebrity of the moment. Absolutely. Its very different to diana. A place just near her for dianas funeral. All you can hear the screams of people and the shouting. There was a disbelief that diana had died. Because of the way that she had died so suddenly. And people are actually talking to her. You know, than a, we love the, and everything. It was a very odd kind of destructive process. But lots of bra motion as everything happened. But with the queen, what struck me certainly look at the five sustain the procession. On wednesday. It is the quietest. The reflectiveness. Not promotion. V v i wouldnt say happy but kind of content and peaceful. And realizing this is on a life well lived. And it has come to a final and. And people are think celebrating that. There was a positive atmosphere. With all the kings and members of The Royal Family who have been walking up and down here. It is again a kind of celebratory thing. I think they celebrate the queens life rather than distressed at the thought of the fact that shes not here. That is the sense that you get. It is an uplifting sort of feeling that was a life well lived and electronic aid to service. Now the last few no first a look back on is of course the funeral Winston Churchill in 1965. What with that tell us, do you think . And what can we see from that moment that we will perhaps see later on today. The thing with churchill was for a start it was a historic thing. Which he actually was dying in the middle of the streets in the 60s. But were looking back, again, to a life of history. Leading to world war ii. But this surface and early wars where he was a member of Parliament Since the 19 hundreds. It is kind of this feeling of longevity. The feeling of history passing by. It was the gathering of World Leaders. Everybody was there and apart from the american president landed johnson. I think he had flu or something. But it wasnt able to travel. The presence of all the members of The Royal Family, and the fact that the queen gave precedence to the churchill family. She didnt feel it was appropriate to be the only mourner at that event. And the human touch is the people who remember the cranes in the london dipped. And was recently revealed that they had to be paid to do it. But in the end, it was seen as a spontaneous gesture. That this saluted churchills body down the river. Theyre four times. From st. Pauls to waterloo. And things like that. That people remember. Va is quite a minute that were looking back at this. And the archive. Some of this is quite remarkable as blank spot the world leader. I think i saw a couple of others i mean some of the scenes that were seeing here will feel familiar. We just saw the linking of arms there as this military man carrying the coffin. Which was shot from inside Westminster Hall. Thats familiar to us now. I suppose was this an event as well for people to have gathered around four . When i was a little tiny boy to remember any of it but apparently was forced to sit in front of it. It was history in the making. And the thing about churchill was that he had retired by. That and he was almost a forgotten figure in some ways. But the queen, of course, continue to work right through the end. I mean he had retired ten or 12 years before. But she was still irrelevant part. I mean he didnt broadcast for instance, where the queen of course did broadcasted. Covid and so on and there is an interesting sort of light. Maybe to tell me about Winston Churchill when he found out whos going to get a funeral. How much he sort of wanted some of the pomp and the ceremony and the trumpets etcetera sandra. Also the queen wanted him to have it. They rehearse and she talked about it. They had to liaise with the palace quite a lot because, of course, the queen had other duties. And i think the funeral was a saturday. But she hosted a reception for all the World Leaders on saturday evening. But by sunday, at 5 00 she had to get up because she was going off for a threeweek tour of ethiopia. And it was going on to other nations. So i think is a busy time. Valley queen has died at a time of year when The Royal Family dont do anything. And august or september particularly. It fitted in very well. But there are times, thank goodness, Nothing Happened left earlier before when covid. Because that wouldve been a different story. An inquiry was nice that if you like it was last years Prince Philip stepped. So we can commemorate that. Theres always the chance of the couldve died pretty quickly. One after the other. Then one would overshadow the other. Other. Exactly right. Final thought of what you would like to say today. But a final thought on the bump today that you got mostly looking out to. See the dragging or the pulling of the gun carriage. Started with Queen Victorias funeral which was in january. Say this is perfect. That whole event. But most the Royal Funeral weve had have been in the depths of winter. And the horses got incredibly cold and dresses and pulled the trace that held together the link to the coffin. It was a danger that the whole thing when ended a catastrophe. So, Prince Philips, grandfather i baton berg. He suggested that the naval ratings pulled the just a short distance. But it is quite a hill up to Windsor Castle. So they did that about 120 of them. And it just work spectacularly. Everybody remembered it. Thats what we are having today. Its something that happens that people remember. Its not just a choreographed event. But it is something unusual. Something human, perhaps. About him. Thank you very much. I now feel, the queen concert has ordered a personal tribute to the late queen. Saying i will always remember her smile. She made the comment during a televised address last night. She has been part of our lives forever. I am 75 now. And i cant remember anybody except their queen being their. It must have been so difficult for her being a solitary woman when they werent women Prime Ministers are women president s. She was the only one. So i think our own role. She made a rule that she had a private time under private passions. And her public role. I think that is very important they knew the diary was planned out so you would know when youre on duty. And when youve got to do thanks. So then what you went up to scotland in august. That was the moment where it was her enjoyment. Although she was probably working with a red box with the wrap. She could have her family to stay. She can do the things that she loved. A real passion was racing. We she was able to escape but she had to stand next to where she should go every day and see her froze work out in the next meetings for the i think she always kept that as her private pet. You wouldnt their question her or argue with her on how horse was spread or how it run. Because you get a very steely blue eyed look back again. I remember coming from here in clarence ida state windsor. The day i got married. And when i probably wasnt on all cylinders causes quite nervous. For some unknown reason i put on a pair of shoes and had an inch heel. One headed to india. So i would hop along. Thats something i was halfway down in the car before i realized, too late, she could say, she left right and said im totally sorry. She had a good sense of humor. We have taken her to some of my charities and to the ebony halls club. And to the medical detection dogs. And she loved both of them it was really genuine enjoyment and she has lots of questions and it was very nice to take her to things which i knew she would enjoy shes got those wonderful blue eyes that wintry smiles they light up your whole face. Ill always remember that smile. That smile is unforgettable. Wewe all right, lets take a look now at how the newspaper are marking this historic day. Hell start the Daily Express which carries the newly released image of the light monarch. The headline, farewell our glorious queen. Heres the front page of the daily mirror. They headlined. Happy and glorious. Same picture of course. The daily mail calls it our last farewell. Now on the front page of the sun, they go with simply, god bless. The front page of the metro that now carry her home. With the front page of the Daily Telegraph pays tribute to a life of selfless service. And the star describes the country as a kingdom united. The eye looks as the global scale of the occasion of the State Funeral has does the guardian highlighting the presence of all of those many foreign leaders and dignitaries. And the front page of the times, quote, from controls the thirds message of thanks to the public for their tributes. And good wishes. While the Financial Times carries this captivating Black And White photograph from the queen Lying In State. Well kate spencer is still with us. Katie, you mentioned the Lying In State. Of course, not long now before line if they typically comes to an end at about 6 30. It was remarkable the picture that weve seen of the last few days since the queen has been Lying In State just a steady stream of people that we have seen passing through Westminster Hall. The endless patients that people have shown, along the way. Determined to q. Many of them put off despite the fact that theyve been told, on occasions, it could be 24hour wait. Thankfully, on the whole it, hasnt been that long for many of the people who have put themselves through this pilgrimage, almost, to see the queen. It is very interesting, isnt it. That it has taken the death of a monarch to get people to put their phones down. To have this moment. To stop an experience what is actually happening in this country. It has been in or deal that people have gone through to make it into Westminster Hall. We know more than 1000 people have had to receive medical care along the way it has been so cold overnight for people that have been queuing through the long cold nights. 136 people have been taken to hospital. Who have joined the queue i and there is something in the waiting itself. It has felt necessary, almost. As people protest process exactly what has been happening. Along the way, they have swap stories. Theyve made friends. But inside Westminster Hall. It is that stillness. The silence. It is that transcends languages. It is a universal understanding that we all have when it comes to loss. Looking at grief, we have all been through grief within our lives. Seeing a grieving family like this. It is only natural that we think of our own. I think it has meant a lot to a lot of people. To be able to come to Westminster Hall. To have this moment. To pay tribute to a monarch who has been with us for over eight decades. And has given up her life. Dedicated her life, to service. We have met people have been in this queue. The person everyone has told me the same thing. Regardless of what opinions they may be out there about the monarchy. Everybody here is come with all The Very Best reasons. Theyve come because they want to, their own little way. Give Something Back to a woman who has given her life to service. It is hard to imagine that any monarch that follows will have a similar relationship with the public, like this. She, of course. Has overseen such a period of great change within this country. Losing her, of course. We lose a connection with the great time in our history. The Second World War as well. And then great generation, who did so much for this country. It is a real moments, because king charles, prince william, they are rains and because of the age in which they had come to be having their time as monarch. They are a lot older. The rain will be a lot shorter. I think the public bond that people have had with Queen Elizabeth. It will never be repeated in this country. She clearly has meant so much to so many people. You are exactly right. Thank you for that. Now we are watching the life feed from inside Westminster Hall as these are the final few mourners who are getting to pay their own personal tributes. Pay their respects to Queen Elizabeth the second. I need these people are seeing here at the core skewed overnight for the chance to take a moment to bow and said. And get in front of the coffin and just say goodbye. Escaped was saying, to a monarch was dedicated herself, her entire life. To service for the country and for our commonwealth. Casey, it is just so remarkable watching these people. You can see the emotion on peoples faces. And i guess that it is heightened as well. Knowing that these are some of the lucky ones who managed to get through. It is such a special and unique experience that you cant really describe unless you are inside of that hall. It is incredibly quiet, just a stray cough going off is allowed as gunfire. It is a moment where you cannot escape your thoughts. It is just a beautifully poignant moment. Kate spencer, thank you very much for that. There just a few hours away from the queen State Funeral. And it is just over ten days mouse answered. Last night as well as masha morning we watched World Leaders from former world to commit to london to pay their respects. Let us look back as they join britain and remembering the late monarch. A life across much of britain would come to a complete stop. Last night, there was a nationwide minute silence and a royal family release one of the final new photographs of the clean. Todays State Funeral is expected to be one of the grandest Ceremony Events ever to be staged. Our first report this morning is from our National Correspondent, tom parmenter. The image the family has chosen celebrates the smile that was her trademark. Westminster abbey is set to welcome the world, including her Grandchildren. Nineyearold Prince George, and sevenyearold Princess Charlotte. They will be part of this most public funeral. The grandfather, king charles, will lead the nation. He said, as we all prepared to say our last farewell. I wanted simply to take this opportunity to say thank you to all those countless people whove been such a support and comfort to my family, and myself. In this time of grief last night, the nation paused once again. Vin the final hours of Lying In State included a visit from u. S. President , joe biden. As ive told the king, shes gonna be with him every step of the day. Every minute. Every moment. World leaders and overseas royalty have invitations, as to people from across the uk have just made a difference. Like kim hughes, one of the finds, boldest experts the british army has ever seen. I dont think it is about just being in the absolutely humbled at the fact that ive had that invitation. But i dont think it is i think it is about the country coming together to remember the life of the queen. Westminster abby has hosted Royal Funerals for nearly 1000 years. And was central to her majestys life. It is where she got married. It is where her coronation took place. If youre in any doubt as to how big this is. Well, it is expected to be the worlds most watched broadcast of alltime. To clear the route, theyve even taken out some traffic lights. Many camped here overnight. To see and feel the spectacle brought some roses to throw. But now were just going to its easily argued that shes definitely the greatest british woman to have ever lived really. They will conclude at her majestys beloved Windsor Castle, and private burial and st. George chapel. Her coffin will be lowered into the royal vault alongside Prince Philip. Theres a tour of duty that we will never see again. Tom parmenter, sky news. Sky news. Lets show you now the latest pictures that we had from Victoria Tower Gardens. The last couple of minutes, as you can see, that cube which has been staking its way through the guards for the past few days. It has now come to an end. The final people whove been waiting up to 12 hours for the chance to pay their respects to the queen have now passed through Victoria Tower Gardens. And they are making their way through Westminster Hall. Lying in state officially comes to an end at 6 30 am. So in about 22 minutes time. Lets bring in our correspondent, ali fortescue. Whose Inventory Tower Crime for us. So ali, the find of people have now passed the roof. So as not long down until Lying In State does officially come to an end. But thats right. I thought we might be able to speak to some of the very last people that would get that chance to see the queens coffin Lying In State. But just as you come to us. You can see what has been the scene for the extraordinary final stretch of the queue that has been staking its way across london. It is now completely empty. This is Victoria Gardens. This is been the place where thousands of people, Hundreds Of Thousands. Have crossed over the last few days. Making their way through that fivemile journey over here through southern part to get their moment with the queens coffin. To play their own small part in history. And everyone here came here for a different reason. But i think, for a lot of people this is about having the opportunity to have somebody they can tell their children. About playing their small part in history. Thank you to the queen. I think it is just something that has given great comfort to The Royal Family. Of course weve seen the king and the prince of wales have been speaking to people in the queue over the course of the weekend. We did just speak to a woman called chrissy who was, we think, the very last person in this queue. She was a Serving Member of the armed forces. She had actually, already, seen the queen Lying In State. A couple of days ago. But she said she wanted to come back to see her again. And she felt like this was her small way of saying thank you, that its been a real privilege. She said she didnt expect to be the last person to get that opportunity but it felt like a real privilege should be at the back of the queue. So in the last few moments to gardens hair have emptied and theyre all filing their way into Westminster Hall to be among the last people to see the queens coffin before it is taken for the State Funeral, of course, at Westminster Abby. What we see dignitaries descended on this corner of landed very shortly. But for all the people who have waited in line today, and the last few days. They can say that they have played their part in history. , they certainly can. Thank you for that. As i said in about 20 minutes time we will bring you the moment when eli and state officially comes to an end. That is due to happen at half past six. Not to give you an understanding of what is going to happen for the rest of the day. Buckingham palace has published the order of service for the queens funeral. Now that order confirms Prince George, and Princess Charlotte, will join The Royal Family during the coffin procession into Westminster Abby but the choir will sing a special song. Originally composed for the queens coronation. Two lessons will be read by the Secretary General of the commonwealth and, by the Prime Minister, lets trust. The queens own piper will pay sleep dreary sleep as they leave the coffin and procession out of the of abby. And during the middle, the choir will sing the russian contention of the departed. Which was also some for the funeral of deep duke of edinburgh. But one asked, Katie Spencer is with us this morning. Katie, good morning again you. We have seen that the final mourners have now passed a Victoria Tower Gardens. And theyre making their way towards westminster. Where the line, as they say, is going to come to an end at 6 30. It is almost range. Now it is a strange feeling, isnt it . To see those clues. And to see those empty lines. Now weve become so used over the last few days to seeing people wait patiently. And so much patience has been expressed by people who have been willing to wait in line for their turn to come and pay their respects for one last time. To her majesty the queen. It is a strange move that is descending on the capitol today as we, for one last time, reflect on the life and the legacy of Queen Elizabeth the second. Now those people who will be among the final few to go into Westminster Hall and see her coffin what a moment to witness. So many people have wanted to be here. And come to Westminster Hall and experience that moment of stillness and silence. And reflection on what the country is all going through. And how we mourn the loss of a great monarch. Today, though. Even greater numbers are expected to be in attendance for the funeral itself. Now many in this country will have never witnessed anything on the scale of which we are going to see today. The last big State Funeral of course was in 1965. When Winston Churchill had a State Funeral. 500 foreign dignitaries in attendance today. Visiting royals, Prime Ministers, president s, the world has descended here and the world is watching in terms of policing 10,000 police will be helping with the security. 4000 Military Personnel taking part in these possessions. But it is exquisite, the level of precision that you will see on display. They still marching, 75 paces a minute as a slow march will take place from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey. As the queens coffin is moved for one last time. It is going to be incredible to watch. Its going to be incredibly moving and i think so many people will be wanting to watch on tv as this is a moment that few will have ever witnessed katie pinal, thank you very much. As the line and state, and the ceremonial part of the day begins, with the queens coffin moved from Westminster Hall for the Funeral Service ted burning takes us through the first part of todays proceedings. The funeral of Queen Elizabeth ii will be held at Westminster Abby, the Resting Place of monarchs and the traditional site of State Funerals for centuries. Ahead of the service a Funeral Procession will we escorted to the Houses Of Parliament, where it has been Lying In State. Members of The Royal Family will be seated alongside behind them in the South Concept Heads Of State leaders and royalty from Around The WorldSitting Opposite holders of the victorian george cross our counterparts from the commonwealth and members of the nations highest orders of chivalry. While the Prime Minister, former Prime Ministers, and the leaders of scotland, wales, and Northern Iowa lynch will sit in the Obvious Choir Scoot schools. The Dean Of Westminster will lead the service, lessons will be read by the Prime Minister, and the Secretary General of the commonwealth. A servant will be given by the archbishop of canterbury. At the end of the service the left post will be so differently including Elizabeth The First, going back 700 years. A few minute silence will be observed through the uk, before the rebellious outed by trumps of the Household Cavalry. In the abbey, the National Anthem is sung. The final act in the service will be a procession of the queens coffin, back through the choir, and along the nave out of the army, and back into the street and courage, for its take and windsor, and her final Resting Place. Now, at half past, six lane in state will come to an end. These the latest pictures, the last people who will get the chance to be a part of history and pay their respects to her majesty the queen. In Westminster HallHundreds And Thousands of people have made this pilgrimage to pay their respects to the late queen, and these are the final few, who will get to have that honor of course of the moment, not a line and stay comes to an end at half past six, we will bring that to you here, sky news. Okay, lets get a few more details of what we will see during todays historic events. Alex rossis with troops preparing Wellington Barracks in Central London. So good morning to alex, thanks for being with us this morning. Preparations must be, of course, well underway for those at the barracks. What have you seen, have youve been able to speak to anyone at this moment . Good morning, kamala, as the day breaks on what will be a momentous occasion, for Central London and the country. Now, inside the, barracks we have seen soldiers, sailors, and aviators, getting ready for what will be an extremely significant day for them. The main rehearse, of course, was friday, into saturday morning. Weve got an idea of just how spectacular sight interrupt you, but i just want to bring our viewers the very latest. The doors allowing people in to us minister hall, to observe the line and state of Queen Elizabeth ii have now closed. So, those who are inside the hall or the final mourners who get the chance to pay their respects. Katie spencer is still with us katie the doors of clothes now. These are the last lucky few who get to see the queen line and state. Its an incredibly moving moment its been an incredibly moving few days to see the number of people that have wanted to come and pay tribute to the queen. In many ways, it smells incredibly a hoosier this process of waiting so that people can come to terms, really, with whats happened. The loss of a monarch, i think in many ways, have the back of the covid pandemic, we all knew people who have lost loved ones, have gone through, grief and to have this moment of collective loss, where people have been able to come together, have wanted to come together for this moment, and reflect together on whats happened, losing a monarch who has been through such a period of great change for this country. I think it is met meant so much to so many people its very natural when you look at a grieving family in particular to think of your own losses. And for so many people, i think the silence, the stillness of the back of having to queue for many hours and put themselves through queuing for that length of time, a pilgrimage, almost. I think it has made this moments, so much more special for people, as they enter Westminster Hall. These are signs that many of us have never witnessed before. Lying in state like this. We have now seen the last Changing Of The Guard for the queens Lying In State. As the final groups of mourners begin the process of slowly passed her majestys coffin. These people have cued, through the night, for the chance to pay their respects. To her majesty, the queen. This is the last group, katie, that will get to do so. There is just a sense of finality to it, all isnt there . The doors of Westminster Hall being closed for one last time. People sometimes question, in this, country why we have these traditions, why we have these very intricate ceremonial moments, that we carry out in this country but i think when you take the time to look at a moment like this, the stillness, the silence, the quiet respect that you see as these traditions are carried out its just an incredibly moving moment to witness and these people who have been fortunate enough to be among the very final of people passing through this hall and for all of the people that ive managed over the last few days to patiently queue up and make it through to Westminster Hall to see the queens coffin it will be a moment that they remember for the rest of their lives just incredibly moving. There is now a way of knowing what people are thinking it is a private moment of grief that everyone has as they enter that haul but it is the stillness in silence of this moment that i think is so special importance to so many people. We are now approaching the final few minutes of Queen Elizabeths the seconds a Lying In State the last group of people who have waited patiently persevered for more than ten hours through the night to pay their personal respects to the queen and are passing through Westminster Hall. A moment of quiet reflection for many, of course the combination of the time spent in that queue, and reflecting on her majesty the queen reflecting on our life of service and a chance for them in their own way to say thank you we. It is now just gone half past six, and the official period of Lying In State is committed to an end. These are the final people to pay their respects. To her majesty the queen. There you have, it the culmination of Queen Elizabeth the second line and state. Data brought to a close, it a final note of her head, in tribute to her majesty rick. As people have waited many hours for the chance to pay their own tributes, to the late queen. Now Lying In State has come to an end, the ceremonial process of the State Funeral will begin in a few hours time, lets go to garland square, and who Carriage Gate where adele morning sun is standing by. And adel, the last lucky few who are able to pay their own personal tribute will now be passing by where you are. What would they say to you as they leave Westminster Hall this morning . Thats, right well its quite a moment isnt it . The gates are closed behind me, those last few hundred have passed through to see the queen line and state we have the very last people, actually, to witness that. To experience, your own little piece of history. Of course, you first, you are the very last person, or entry . Yes, i was. It is an honor. Im currently serving with the royal force, so to do that on behalf of the Royal Air Force. Turn amazing lady that will never be replaced it was an honor. Suit serving in the Royal Air Force, give me a sense of what she meant to you. Obviously i saw my allegiance to her, and i just feel very proud been in the air force and been one of her subjects. Can you put in words what it was like for you walking into that hall . Walking into the hall of the first time because they went past a quarter past one this morning, and then felt that i needed to go through again, so ive just come through last time again. And i just felt very proud that i was there, and honored that i was given the privilege to be able to serve and go through again and obviously being the last person i didnt realize it was gonna be like this. She went through twice, as well . And how far he traveled, and how far do you have to weigh both times. I havent traveled that far, and i got here at quarter to five this afternoon, so its about 14 hours well spent. As the gates close behind you just now, what was going through your mind . That you have witnessed history, or . It wasnt until late realized this was all going to happen at the end, via, it was amazing. And its the day the funeral, the queens funeral, will you say stay to mark it . It will be a long day, but well worth, it i never gonna do this again in my life so yes. Thank you so much for, time youve also got some youve met in the queue. You are among the last through, effectively . I was like for you . It was incredible to be able to come and to be here, and to just pay my respects, ive adored her since i was a little girl and moved from The Middle East to the u. S. And to the United Kingdom for the past 25 years. My beautiful son has been born here and i call this place home and she made me feel like i was at home here i always looked up to her. Not being able to see her again on tv, its hard. She inspired many young women, i was one of them, shell always be in my heart, forever. Did you want to be one of the last, was that intentional . I left, actually, because i needed to rest up a little bit, and i came back, and i thought about, it and i said, its nice to come back at the end and try to be there at the end, because i didnt want to say goodbye. It was better do it when it was not so hectic, and i wanted to be one of the last, yes. And both of you, finally, can you put into words, its almost tangible isnt it, this moment in history that you have experienced . Yeah, i feel like the people that youve met, thats a moment its, of friendship that will last forever. Thats, right we share this together, and thats what makes it special. And the queen brought us together. There were many amazing people here. Will guarantee is this, everybody those young people that started there for hours an hours, it wasnt for them, we wouldnt be doing this. Sharing with, everyone taking photos, we took group photos of them, didnt we . And there are parents there with little children, that was amazing. There are so excited to be here. It was nice to have atmosphere, and to feel the unity. Thank you both very much for your time, united in grief, i think, is the right phrase to use. Thousands of them, a community of thousands of people uniting in grief. All coming up for hours an hours of the last few days, i pilgrimage if you like, to see the queen Lying In State, not just to see something, but also to feel something, an almost tangible part of history, for the final goodbye for the queen. A deal robinson, the Carriage Gates, thank you so much for that. This is the mouth here, outside Buckingham Palace, where people have already begun to gather, to be a part of the State Funeral, and on every step of the journey of the queens coffin today, it will be accompanied by the military. Now it is going to be an emotional day for those who served in the monarchs name. Im pleased to say were now joined by Sergeant Shaun dyck, from the fourth battalion of scotland. Hes involved in preparing for todays funeral. Ivan, thank you very much for being with us this morning. Good morning to you. Tell us how are the preparations going . Good morning to you as well. Preparations have been going, well its been an intense few days, and obviously the guardsmen ive been taking it through the drill in the past few days, and getting up to scratch for today, make sure sebastian can be. And sergeant dick, can you tell us what your role will be in the procession. Basically again we marching from here, and were gonna move down to excuse me, the arch, where the queen will also approach and arrive. I will move from one vehicle to another and carry on on the journey over. And sergeant duke, or i assume weve been on tours of duty overseas. Nothing like that can prepare you for what you guys are doing now, or can it . I mean, its a totally different circumstance, absolutely. Compared to being on tour, ive lost friends on tour, and the queen arrived the other day, a road that the queen says that its good enough for her boys, its good enough for her to arrive, that shows you the volume of the queen, and what she thought of the soldiers. Give us a sense that if you can, then, as an active soldier, serving in his majestys military, how does it feel knowing that youre going to be part of this transfer of history, and part of the funeral of the late monarch . Very proud and very honored to be part of it, its a huge day. Obviously its a massive day for the british army in the nation, the whole nation mourns. And to be part of the funeral today, is a real privilege and honor, not just for myself but for every soldier in the forces. Any nerves . Not long to go now obviously Everyone Wants this to pass off perfectly, dont they . We wanted to be the most perfect nations is or is the best sendoff, and she is serves the best sendoff that we can do for her. Im lucky to make sure the pandas tax and all for her. Sergeant dick, thank you so much for time this morning, and all The Very Best of luck with this one, thank you. Thank you. Now that procession after the funeral will of course travel through whitehall, and along the mound that youre looking at now, i said huge crowds have been gathered, for days, and ashley is part of them for us this morning. Actually, good morning to you. So the sunrises coming up right now as they can see, people have been gathered, and they are getting ready to be a part of history. They, are kamali, thousands of gathered here already id say, outside the queens glacial, home Buckingham Palace. Many of them have been a stain for a number of, night so a lot of people arriving here today. People have been urged already to keep get rid of their campaign equipment, and put that to one side, there been some attempts have been cast aside already. Theres a cue for the cafe, because it got a bit of a ways ahead of, them and they are so keen to be part of this event today and be part of the State Funeral. This is the first that weve had here in britain, in almost 60 years and id like to introduce you to some people who have made that journey, especially we must excuse him. Do you mind me asking, you know, whats it like being part of this today . Its wonderful, to come and see a life changing event in history. What made you want to come down here early, what do you think you will experience today, and what sort of feelings are gonna have . A lot of sadness. But, i suppose, seen a lot of people together. Its quite a unifying experience. Im just gonna talk to justin here, just in fact pullaside, coming down here today, talk to us about being here. Wouldnt be anywhere else, really, weve done that walking through the queens line and, state we came through the very first time and got flowers outside of picking up balance. This is our sort through toward a time coming down now. Just have to be, theyre in simple is that. And youre still wearing your line in a state wristband, we see what number you were in the queue . 17,096. It was up to sort of 200, 000, ive seen from people. It was a moment like when you got to see her at her coffin. It was profound, and it just makes you feel really proud to be british, and going in the great hall and seen the queen, and the coffin is really small, but with a scepter in their. The crown in the scepter, and the ball and stuff and Everything Else on the coffin. It was amazing. It was awesome. And what do you think today is gonna be like, were gonna get to see part of the possession here at the mound, is it any surprise to you that this many people have turned out for this . No, not really know, i think its gonna be absolutely the boardwalk is gonna be full. So weve got early to make sure that weve got any sort of Vantage Point to be able to use this. Thanks so much, appreciate you talking to us. Theres an announcement there if we just step back, you can hear some cheers in the background. There are lots of people getting ready for a certification i suppose. I must say, its so different to having been here three months ago for the jubilee, as you can imagine. Hello, you look so beautifully dressed up, why was it important for you to be here today . I grabbed with the queen, and she just passed away on my birthday. This is a rather close thing for me. It was sort of really inspiring for me, its like losing a distant family member. Its a weird feeling, and yeah i thought it was really important today to pay tribute to her. When you heard the news last tuesday . I was actually working from home, and sometime around lunch time i kind of realized that something is going on. We because im also a councillor, and so i contacted the town counselor, i said is there anything we need to know about the protocol or anything, and then a couple of hours later we got the news that she passed away. Whats the liked to been here today youre getting quite emotional, if you feel such a connection or . Well its definitely a big thing for me to be here, and hopefully to get at least first time a bit closer than ever. Thank you so much for, time so many people now ready to mark this day in a special way. Thousands are going to be descending on this part of the town, in the next few hours. Ashley omar, thank you for that. Lets bring, in now, the royal writer, vice Countess Julie montagu, thanks for being with us this morning. A very special, morning and we appreciate your time. You are just telling me, as ashton was talking that you traveled in already, filling up with people. And this is at 5 00 this morning, it was walltowall a sea of people waiting to get into gruene park. And they were Holding People back for good reason, but it was already you can feel the energy, and the atmosphere, but it was very somber. People were talking to each other, saying this is an occasion that i want to remember, i saw Young Children coming in with their parents, they wouldve been up since 4 00 this morning to get here. So families are coming in together and its just a somber moment but i think the country wants to unite. There is that sense of sorting national unity, isnt there . And when youre among the crowds as ive been for the past few days you do really get that sense that everyone is in this together, they all want to be a part of this, in some way. Yeah, absolutely, people were clutching onto their sort of memorabilia of the queen, i saw people with mugs, and with flags. As you said, this is of Course National historic morning right now. But its global. Im american, i have everybody i know in america is waking up very early to watch all of this all day long. You know she was not just, as we, know the queen here, but she was known worldwide for the queen. I think somebody, people at they cant get here, today they wanna pay their respects, and they want to spend the day watching it all unfold on tv. And of course, this is a moment of national grief, as you mentioned there. But its a family at the head of, this isnt it . A family that are grieving very publicly. Its always hard to kind of imagine what that would be like, but you are a member of the family, you know how people are feeling, im having any sort of conversations, what are people sort of saying to each other at this moment . I think its a moment for the family to take it all, in what the public is pouring out of the hearts, as well, and you know when youre grieving so much, theyre able to share in their grief amongst each other, we saw the cousins together holding a vigil, but also with the public i think that in one sense helps you get through it, but what is quite interesting is that it now has been announced that Prince George and prince charlotte will be walking behind their parents, and between harry and meghan at Westminster Abby. I think again for the principles of, wales they want their children to be above this as well. Theyve known their grandmother for nine and seven year, as we saw them on the balcony just three months ago, Princess Charlotte and prince stories with her great grandmother. I think for them, theyre old enough now to be a part, and mourn her as well. It is that sense, isnt, it of being a part of the grief of the family, and sort of taking on as a member of the royal, family you then have to, you cant publicly be crying, as im sure many many of them would like to do. Absolutely, we did see Princess Eugenie when she first came out to look at the flowers, being comforted by her father, prince andrew. So we did see that those moments, and when you look closely at members of The Royal Family, you can see the red in their eyes. You can see that they had been crying. But for me one of the most, i think touching moments was seeing the eight Grandchildren hold vigil. You could see in particular on eugenies face and just utter grief they are doing their duty to their grandmother for those 70 years that she had done the duty, for here in the country. But also for globally. You can look at the face, and you can see that is just utter grief right now, and sadness. Yes, and a reflection of what were gonna see today, as weve been saying its something that many of us in our lifetimes witness. Its going to be huge and somber affair. A very grand affair. And the thing about the uk in the monarchy in particular is that nobody does ceremony better. Nobody does this better than anybody else in the world. And i think thats also why people want to watch this, because its again in one sense holding this history that your country, the k, youve held on for 1000 years, and we are seeing it played out again today. Shes been Everybody Screen for 70 years, many of us have never witnessed this funeral, a funeral like this of a monarch before, so this will be the first time, but this time it will be broadcast across the world, and well be able to get those glimpses of The Royal Family, again, the utter grief on their face. And how much do you think the sort of transfer of that ceremonial transfer the sign of tradition is to be shown Around The World this happens in a huge in grand way, but very peacefully and respectfully. Its been going on for centuries, and its very hard to say okay, were not going to have any of, that were a modern country. I think rain many people aint now many people right now want to keep that tradition and yes they wont be reuven family to evolve and become more that they want to see those traditions. Thats what this country is known for, the proclamations, they, seals the signatures. They have hit parades. You will not see this in any other country, and i think for the nation, keeping those traditions and ceremony, absolutely expressions the now in mourning the queen, but moving on and keeping those, again, for the next monarch and the next monarch is important. For the identity of the country. Just finally then, julie, a moment youll be particular looking out for is the pulling out the gun carriage, and just fascinated to see how it works. Today im gonna be looking at the crowds i think this is my first time coming in, to Central London over these past ten days. And what i saw today outside with the crowds, it just got me to my heart, so many people at 5 am this morning, waking up their Young Children so they can experience it. I think ill just be reflecting in talking to people as well, because many people are coming together. Now of course, the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth the second will begin today at a 11 am. This is the live shot from there, looking over the Victoria Memorial down on the mound, where thousands of people have already begun together. And lining the entire route that is the queens coffin will process, on its way to fund the palace of westminster and went to leaves there it will make its way to Windsor Castle. Later there will be a private ceremony. This period of National Mourning will be a Public Affair where the whole world has come together to show their respects. Later on this, meaning at 7 30 and private service will be held for The Royal Family for them to pay their own tribute to her majesty the queen. Now we, are as i, say just a few hours away from the beginning of the State Funeral, its been ten days since her death, and last night as well as national morning, we watch World Leaders and foreign royalty come to london, to pay their respects. Lets look back, as they join britain in remembering the late monarch. It has pleased almighty god to call to his mercy, our late sovereign lady. Queen elizabeth the second, of blasted and glorious memory. By whos indices, the crown of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, is solely and rightfully come to the Prince CharlesPhillip Arthur george. Wherever you may live in the 90 kingdom, or in the realms and territories across the world, and whatever maybe your background or beliefs, i shall endeavor to serve you with loyalty, respect, and love. As i have throughout my life. Her majesty gave us 70 years, its giving her nine, hours thats nothing. When i was very little, may my mom said will come to this. My mom is passed away, if im here for her. Have you been waiting a long, david . Its 7 00, good morning from Buckingham Palace, on the day of the green State Funeral. And david remember service, its monday the 19th of september. Smiling and in her favor opposed, Buckingham Palace releases a photo not seen by the public before, to mark the queens funeral. Ns funeral. The service will bring together one of the largest ever gatherings of World Leaders before the queen as laid to rest in windsor with her late husband. King charles iii thinks the public for its support, while new details of federal proceedings arent released confirming Prince George and Princess Charlotte will be part of the procession and the abbey. The queens Lying In State and it just a short time ago after Hundreds Of Thousands waited day and night to pay their last respects. We spoke to the final person in the queue Serving Member of the military air force and i just to respect her and gave my allegiance to her good morning, from Buckingham Palace, in the coming hours, her majesty Queen Elizabeth ii, the only monarch most of us have ever known will be more and, remembered, and celebrated at her State Funeral. Nine year old Prince George and Princess Charlotte with seven will be among the 2000 people attending before a service at Windsor Castle. Katie is here, as she has been throughout the last couple of days with me, the days are out. Yes. There is a really strange and unique emotion to the day really. Certainly within the last hour we have seen the Lying In State process come to him and there has been a real quiet so the moment it has been weirdly busy the last few days hasnt it seeing so many Hundreds Of Thousands of people make their way who had this unique experience of seeing the queens coffin in person. I think for those people who have had that moment of choir affliction with the queen, it is something that will stay with them for the rest of their days and today as well. This spectacle of tradition and ceremony that we will see unfold a little later with the queens funeral very few people will have ever witnessed anything like the scenes we have all seen later today. Our lives are punctuated with these ever so often moments of i remember when moments that stay with us, and really what we see today, i think it is going to be one of those are very special moments where anyone who is of an age to remember really will remember this day. Yes, lets remember also that behind Buckingham Palace king charles and other senior members of The Royal Family have slept im sure an easily last night and it is a family in mourning as well. So, we and our coverage of sky news, will be reflecting that as well. A family in mourning, a nation in mourning, a commonwealth in mourning our National Correspondent reports on todays events beginning with the majesty released of her [interpreter] in the image the family have chosen celebrates the smile, all her trademark. Westminster abby is set to welcome the world including her great Grandchildren nineyearold Prince George and seven year old Princess Charlotte will be part of this most public funeral. Their grandfather, king charles, will lead the nation. He said, as we all prepare to say our last federal, and simply to take this opportunity to say thank you to all those countless people who have been such a support and comfort to my family, and myself, in this time of grief. Last night, the nation paused once again the final hours Lying In State include a visit from u. S. President joe biden she is going to be with him every step of the way, every minute, every moment World Leaders and overseas royalty of invitations, as two people from across the uk. Who have just made a difference by kim hughes, one of the finest bomb disposal experts, the british army has ever seen. I think its about being in the abe, absolutely humbled the fact that i had that invitation, but i think it is about the country coming together to remember. Westminster abby has hosted royal financials for nearly 1000 years. It was essential to her majestys life. It is where she got married, it is where the coordination took place, and if any doubt is expected to be the most expected watched broadcast of alltime. To clear the route of even taken down some traffic lights. Many camped here overnight to see and feel this spectacle. Hes only arguable shes the greatest british woman, but the greatest british person ever uplift really. Today will conclude with her majestys beloved Windsor Castle with a private burial at st. George askap chapel. Her coffin will be lowered into the royal vault alongside Prince Philip. Theres is a tour of duty that we will never see again. Tom parliamentary, sky news. Well Buckingham Palace has released todays order of service which include new details about the State Funeral. It confirms that Prince George who is nine and his sevenyearold sister Princess Charlotte will join the coffin procession in Westminster Abby. During the service, the choir will sing a special song originally composed for the queens coordination. Two lessons will be read by the Secretary General of the commonwealth, Patricia Scotland casey and the Prime Minister lustrous. The queens piper will play procession at the abbey. And later, drawing the choir will sing the russian of the departed which was also some at the duke of edinburghs funeral. International Affairs Editor s outside Westminster Abby for us this morning high, just looking at the list of the great and good that the u. S. , france Australia New ZealandEuropean Union the list goes on. Yeah, an unprecedented number of foreign dignitaries will make the most consecrated number of heads of government ambassadors, diplomats, royalty i think that there will be ever be together in one place. The closest you could come to that was the memorial of Nelson Mandela in 2013, i think he had just over 50 heads of government attending i think we are expecting more than 100 here it is a huge security challenge for a place putting on an unprecedented Security Operation and the biggest operation ever, not just the metropolitan police of john reinforcements from all 43 Police Forces around the country. Around 10,003 still around this area, the area around the abbey, the palace, and of course hundreds if not thousands of volunteers and security stewards. The police have been added overnight and Security Officers underground checking the drains and the roofs as well. They are here to protect those dignitaries, but also to keep it safe and secure for the thousands of people expected to turn out here, to line the route from the abbey, beyond the palace and out to windsor. But the big challenge, i, think for officials, is not just keeping these foreign guests safe, and theres also how do you get so many to the abbey because if you had each of them arriving on their own motorcade or car, it would have taken hours to get them in and of course they would have to wait hours to got out of the abbey and to get them away. So the solution to that, is they will be bussed in from Royal Hospital chelsea, some of them not used to, but some of them have to go through because of the enormous challenge of dealing with that number of dignitaries here because of the enormous reverence and respect with which the queen was held by so many. Dominic, thank, you well as you are saying hunches of what leaders including royalty politicians and the diplomats are in london preparing to attend the funeral, lots of them are going to be bussed to the obvious we are hearing there from dominic. The exception of, course the u. S. President joe biden who will be driven there. The president went to Westminster Hall and joint mourners and lying and state along with his wife dr. Jill biden. The president described the queen as, dissent honorable, and all about service the canadian Prime MinisterJustin Trudeau is of course here as well, he and his wife sophie walked three Westminster Hall to pay their respects he described the queen who he first met as a child as one of my favorite people. President macron of frances attending with his wife brigitte. He also observed the Lying In State, and walk to westminster with his bodyguards rather than traveling by motorcade. Welty from Around The World are in attendance, including the emperor and empress of japan. This is emperor First Official foreign trip since he was crowned in 2019. Also attending the lying and state ahead of the funeral king philip the six of spain and queen laetitia are expected to be joined at today service by the former king and his wife queen sofia, close members of The Royal FamilyLieutenant General former at hello, good morning, to thanks for joining us on the program. Talk to me about Lying In State, why does it take place at Westminster Hall yes, the palace of westminster is very much part of the Houses Of Parliament, and what is a take place there, because the palace of westminster was a royal palace always has been and in part still is a royal palace. And with the eighth lift there till 50 32 i think it was in a fire brain tell of his apartment and he had to move but he Left Parliament there and parliament as remain there ever since obviously and has remained in parliament to keep access and discipline. And, when henry the eighth moved out, he retained ownership and management of the whole of the palace of westminster. That was his position, until recently as 1964. It was only then that the queen herself decided that it was inappropriate for the sovereign to control and own the democratically elected Houses Of Parliament, particularly the house of commons. So she agreed with then Prime Minister that she would transfer ownership and control of the palace to the respective houses and that is what she did. So, the house of commons owns westminster palace of lords and the queen retained Westminster Hall the royal gallery and chapel and why did she return Westminster Hall because it is traditionally been where coordination banquets took place in great state events took place States Events rather than parliamentary events and that is what we are seeing today. So it is the queen who actually owns and controls Westminster Hall, it is run by black rod, and of course it depends entirely on the Parliamentary Services the Administration Staff who said it all up. I want to talk about Westminster Abby as, well just across the road to people who do not know london too well it is a will be the journey of the queens coffin takes later on. The queen wont be buried at Westminster Abbey, will she . She wont be after the service, the coffin it will be taken on carriage to Wellington Arch and on a great route already to the down part of the route and several will see the procession and from the Wellington Arch it will be transferred from the gun carriage into the state hurst and taken from all through london and how to Heathrow Airport and to Windsor Castle where there will be a service in st. George chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle, then finally the burial. Which will also include the duke of a number who is presently lying peacefully under the vault at the chapel, that has not yet been entered. That is right, and the queen will join him there. As the archbishop of canterbury, and subsequently in an interview recently the queen has always had great faith and she will be joining her husband Prince Philip and also her mother and other members of The Royal Family. Her father as well, her sister. For reasons we are aware of previously. The root. Talk about the root for us. I think we are at the end of the route, isnt it, along Windsor Castle. But a long procession from there to where we are now. Yes, it is, this afternoon i think people will be for the many hours they have put into making sure that they have secured a place along the route, similar thing for those who have lined up along the mile, who have camped out overnight, for many many people they have felt motivated to come here to Central London, or to windsor to make the effort to show that respect and honor the queen. Today, these final acts of warning, it has been extremely moving really to see the public reaction, and how many people have actually wanted to honor the queen and whichever way they have been able to be that Westminster Hall or coming out to the streets today to see the view. Coming down through green park, walking through the park in the earliest of the morning, people were streaming out of the station really you know three or 4 00 this morning so so many people wanted to pay their last respects and to the queen over the past four days people have cued right around the clock havent they to view the queens coffin Lying In State just after 6 30 this morning the last of them went through Westminster Hall the final walker was chrissy, we spoke to her before she went in. I have been in once already, and i rejoined and came and i wanted to be the last person because i have already been in, i dont want to stop anyone else im going in. Im a Serving Member of the military, the air force, and i just respect her, i gave my allegiance to her, and i joined the military and just my small way of saying thank you for her Amazing Service to the country. Well these are images of chrissy filing past the queen and a mark of final respect. We but im currently to be able to do that with the Royal Air Force and a female, to an amazing lady will never be replaced, it was an honor. I just felt very proud, that i was there, and just honored, very honored that i was given the privilege to be able to go through again and be the last, i didnt realize it would be like this. Once chrissy and the other final mourners left closed with the kings representative in palace of westminsters stunning down the stairs. The black rod walked towards the coffin to bow, and then walked away. An emotional moment that marked the end of what has been an outpouring act of grief among the public. Ali and adele are at westminster for us this morning as the final moment of the public paying their respects to the good morning to you, both of you had the opportunity to speak to christie, ali, you first. Yeah, it was an Incredible Opportunity to speak to her. I think she didnt quite realize the importance of being at the back of the queue being the last person to see the queen Lying In State. As you heard there Serving Member of the r. A. F. She said that for her this was a huge privilege it was about saying thank you. I think that is a sentiment that you hear again and again from people. People are obviously here for their own reasons some of them have lost loved ones some of them have met the queen some of them just wanted to have their own moment with the coffin before it is taken to its final Resting Place. So people are here for different reasons, but i think it also has been a great comfort to The Royal Family seeing this extraordinary show of public support Hundreds Of Thousands of people in the last couple of days that have filed through Victoria Gardens where i am now and it has transformed in the last hour or so. It is back to what it was before the place where just outside the office where we cut up in the last few days this has been the final part of this queue where people have come. It has had quite a unique atmosphere here at times its felt like a heavy weight of history that people were feeling knowing that it was the last people that they would see the queens coffin instate were going to have their moment with the forecast of course to Westminster Abby where dignitaries will be arriving very soon so i think you heard it there from chrissy this was an extraordinary moment. We have spoken a lot about this queue, but it is unique, it is something we will not see anything like again for a very long time and everyone has been part of this can say they have played a small part in history. Indeed, so, adel, you are near Carriage Gate and Hundreds Of Thousands of people have streamed through that gate over the last four and a half days, having paid their final respects in a quiet moment with the queen. That is right. It has been a pilgrimage for many people, hasnt it, many people from all over the world, people from the four nations, we saw the goodbye that scotland gave last week, and now it is the turn of the rest of the world if you like. We have the lying and state, the gates closed here at Westminster Hall, half past six pretty much on the dot we spoke to the last few members of the public who witnessed the queen Lying In State they all said the same thing that it was well worth the wait many of them waiting for 78 9 10 hours those last few overlush days its been up to 15 hours possibly longer for some people they have some of them that we have spoken to now joined the crowds that you see here behind me Hundreds Of Thousands of people lining the streets here in westminster hoping to have what people saw and expressed inside Westminster Hall their chance to have the piece of history and the dedication we have seen from members of the public has been impressive though on their feet worth well every single one of them has said. Pay their respects for waiting has been worthwhile, saying it is an honor and a privilege with regards to the Lying In State now having finished, that part of the queens journey is now over. The funeral will be taking place in the next few hours, and as i said, the people we have been speaking to here today in the crowds coming out from the lying and state we have all been able to not just see a piece of history they have been able to feel it as well. Okay, ladies, thank you both for now chatting to again of course later on in the program. Reminding you watching, our coverage here on sky news of the build off to a Funeral Service for her majesty the queen after 70 years of service, she will be laid to rest later on today with her beloved philippe, her family grieving publicly and privately behind us in the palace this morning. They will be leaving later on to make their way to Westminster Abby, and of course we will bring those images. Heres a closer look at how proceedings will begin later this morning. The funeral of Queen Elizabeth will be held at Westminster Abby, the Resting Place of monarchs, the traditional site of State Funerals for centuries. Ahead of the service, a Funeral Procession to the abbey from the Houses Of Parliament where it has been Lying In State. The coffin draped with a role standard will be on a carriage of the royal navy. The Royal Marines will lead the procession around parliament square, behind senior members of The Royal Family committing her children and king will be accompanied on the journey to the abe by the sound of mask pipes and muffled drums. The procession will enter the great west door of Westminster Abbey at exactly 11 00, marking the start of the Funeral Service. The queen will be carried past the grave of the unknown warrior, and down the main of the abbey. Following as they passed under the ornate gilded entrance to the will be the archbishop of canterbury and other senior clergy. Then, the coffin, by the king and senior members of The Royal Family will be taken to the heart of the abe and placed in front of the high altar. Members of The Royal Family will be seated alongside. Behind them, in the heads of state, leaders, royalty from Around The World. Sitting opposite, holders of the victoria and george cross, their counterparts from the commonwealth, and members of the nations highest orders of chivalry. While the Prime Minister, former Prime Ministers, and leaders of scotland, wales, Northern Ireland will sit in the abyss choir stalls. The Duke Of Westminster will lead the service red by the Prime Minister and Secretary General of the commonwealth. The sermon will be given by the archbishop of canterbury. At the end of the service, the last Resting Place of Kings And Queens including Elizabeth The First going back 700 years. A two minute silence will be observed through the United Kingdom before the trumpeters of the Household Cavalry and in the abbey the National Anthem is sung the final act in the service will be a possession of the greens coffin back through the choir and along the path of the abbey and back on to the state carriage before it is taken to windsor in her final Resting Place. Well the Military Procession after the funeral will travel through and along the where people have been gathering for days and days. Chilly this morning, but that hasnt put anyone off, has it . Not at all, k, everyone has said it is been chilly but in the early hours they have despite a night here and for good reason everyone here has gathered now with camping chairs and blankets, a lot of them having their Lying In State blankets that were handed out yesterday. Almost everyone here went to go see the queen lie in state, that was the moment they said they would not miss. Many people voted travel from this morning, the early hours, many people from cant and sussex chose to travel up as of 1 am this morning, of course extra from kent, hello, thank you so much for joining to us, tell us about why it was important to be here for you . We felt as a family it was important to come, along pay our respects, and be here for the moment. A young one whose chance to see history being made. What do you think this moment is going to be like for you . Im not really sure. It is going to be quite special do you think, why do you like the queen . I liked when she i like the things she did like when she did the paddington bear. Marmalade sandwich, as pulling out of the handbag, do you think it will be quite special seeing the procession maybe today . Yeah. Well, i will leave you to it. What about yourself, why is it important for you to be here today . I think it is just because she is, she gave 70 years of her life in a job basically, i cant think of anyone else who has done that so i think it is important to pay respects and they thank you for giving your life for this country. Yeah. It is a day that all of us learned about in school, right, we have learned so much about her service over the last 70 years, but over the past week it has really been brought it to life and it sticks out in your mind of her that you like . Im not sure, it is she has always been a constant, it is like not really a specific worry that sticks out, she has always been there, so yeah, it is we are that she is not here anymore. Just does not feel real. Doesnt feel real. Thats definitely a sentiment a lot of people have said. Its felt so surreal being here, thank you all so much for being here, appreciated. And so many people continue to gather here, k, over the next couple hours or so. I think it is the collective sense of mourning, ultimately people are wanting to be here together to share this moment. Okay, asha, thank you. Members of the royal navy, theyre going to be pulling the ceremonial gun carriage bearing the queens coffin, a tradition dating back to the funeral of Queen Victoria back in 1901. Jessica rose king and joseph mechanical turn to Navy Personnel who be involved in todays procession. Thank you for joining us on the program this morning. Jessica, i think im right and say that is the first time that a woman has been involved with pulling the gun carriage. Yes, you are correct in saying that. I am part of the one out of 14 females who are now allowed to pull the gun carriage and. This will be carried out for the first time today. And joseph, your grandfather played a similar role on the in george the sixth funeral . That is correct, yeah. My grandfather was actually part of the carriage crew for george vi, for me, being here, anyway, for the queens incredible honor. Again, to walk in the same footsteps of my grandfathers even more special. So, yeah, i am incredibly honored. Okay, so tell me both if you would, whoever wants to go first, about what the plan is today, what your roles are . So, we are both members of the gun carriage crew. Im in the front ranks. And joseph is in the rear. Yes. Go on, tell me a bit more. ,,. , the patrol of the wheeling and the turning. To make sure we are centered and looking smart. Obviously, our job as we will march from here and then we will pick up the queen. And load her on to the carriage. And take it down to the abbey, where the funeral will commence. And then you also take her further to at park corner in Wellington Arch after . Yes, we do. The ceremony will essentially finish with the National Anthem as, well. And the queen will not be taken away with the rest of The Royal Family the media members following. How are you feeling this morning, guys . Is it excitement, apprehension, nerves . Absolute excitement, i. Thank and theres a bit of nerves to be felt, i think. Because its such an incredibly big occasion. And theres going to be an awful lot of people watching. So, theres a lot of pressure. But i think again, the honor, and just being here to represent the navies and just be here for the queen because she was so incredible to us, so its the least we can do. I think the exceptionally sad circumstances for this country being such a phenomenal woman that she was, just the privilege and also the honor to be able to take her on her final journey and carry out this duty to her is something i will hold in my heart for many years. Yeah, i do not want to warn you guys, but certainly a billion people will be watching you do that this morning. What have you been saying to your family about it . We cannot forget that. [laughs] what are you say to your families about it, they must be so proud of . You yeah, weve been so busy rehearsing and training, ive barely even spoke to mind, to be honest. But obviously i relate what i can when i can. But i know they will be one. Would be really nice to actually see the whole ceremony. Yeah, okay. Guys, i know that youve got a lot to do before that part of the Service Later on. So, i will let you. Go but we are pleased to talk to this. Morning thank you very much indeed for joining us, thank. You thank you, thank you. Thank you very much. Thanks a lot. So, the gun carriage will take the queen to Westminster Abby, then bring it to hyde park corner, Wellington Arch, where should be transferred to a hearse traveling through the streets of london. Appropriately, going down queens gate, before heading out to Windsor Castle. This is a long walk, so many thousands of people get their last glimpse of her majesty before shes taken to Saint Georges chapel for a Committal Service, and then internment a little later on this evening. We will cover events for you every step of the way here on sky news. This is how the papers are looking. This morning, what should we start with, lets start with the express, carrying the newly released image of the late monarch. Their headline, farewell are glorious clean. The mail calls it our last farewell. And also mentions king charles being moved beyond measured by the outpouring of. Grief the times also quotes the kings message of thanks to the public for their tributes and good wishes. The telegraph pays tribute to the queens life of selfless service. The guardian focuses on the gathering of World Leaders for the grandest of farewells. And a Black And White image of the queen Lying In State fills the top third of the Financial Times first page. And of course, well have special coverage of the State Funeral of Queen Elizabeth the second at Westminster Abby, and all the events of the day from 9 am here on sky news. Looking now at how people in all parts of the uk are preparing for this momentous day. Aring for joe pined is an editod bevin is at hillsboro castle in belfast, and whitehead is standing by and amber van for us this morning. As well, gentlemen good morning all. Joe, lets start with you first of all. Less than a week ago, the queen was leaving edinburgh for the last time, good morning. Exactly, k, and scotland clearly played such a key role, a central role in her life, particular balmoral being this escape. Its been befitting that scotland, this nation plays such a role in her death. Brittani, her home away from home for 44 years. This is the son lounge where she would paint, should have afternoon tea, or should have a drink. And it exemplifies her reign in many way because it was ordered by Clement Atlee in 51, launched under the raid of the premiership of Winston Churchill. And it was scrapped by tony blair in 1997. Not all the royals totally keen on that. Jeff use work here for many years. And after 16 years on board, jeff, who spent some time with her majesty. Yeah, it was really good and theres lots of memories and all the 16 years obviously. But i think my boss memory the whole lot is the done with the queen and Prince Philip in 83. I had a tenminute audience with the queen and the duke. And the queens studies. And they asked me about my time, and asked about my family, what i intend to do, when i was leaving the navy, i was due to leave the navy before the new year. It was brilliant. And it was so odd and nice to talk to them in person after all the years. And just when it finished a little evening, the queen presented me with these conflicts as a personal gift from herself and Prince Philip. Which brilliant. Wonderful families, jeff hughes, thank you. Royal for 16 years. This ship cain has been closed for the next ten days. It will open again tomorrow. Thank you, david, whos standing by for us as well. David, we saw the king traveled to Northern Ireland, then we, during the week . Yes, k, hillsboro castle here in county dine house, in many ways the focal point since the queens passing ten days ago. Thousands of people have come here. 20,000 yesterday alone to leave flowers at the gates of the royal residence where the king and queen consort visited last wednesday. The paris church across the road here in royal hillsboro is just one place in Northern Ireland where the public will be able to watch the State Funeral on a large screen. There are similar opportunities in belfast. Church leaders, protestant and catholic, will take part in todays possession. And Northern Irelands head of state, michael de haines, will be in attendance, along with political leaders from Northern Ireland, most notably the sinn fein first minister designate michelle oneil, where she did have the opportunity to offer the king her condolences last wednesday. Her attendance today is not insignificant. Remember, sinn fein mps do not take their seats at westminster because they will not share allegiance to the monarch. So her attendance at Westminster Abby today is an acknowledgment of the very personal rule the queen played in the journey of peace and reconciliation in Northern Ireland, something that many people will reflect on now that she is laid to rest today. And dan, aberfan all very important to the people of wales. I certainly was alive when the disaster happened back in 1966, the queen attended with her husband. Yes, thats right, kay. There is probably no community in a way that does not feel stronger to her majesty for then aberfan. For those who dont remember, it was back in 1966 that a coal tip on a hillside behind me collapsed and engulfed junior school, this Primary School on the site. That disaster killed 116 children, and 28 adults. And as you say, in the subsequent days, her majesty the queen attended the site here, providing support to the community. And that visit as stayed with the people of aberfan, this elite wells mining town, for 55 years. Now her majesty attended a few years ago the 50th anniversary. She came and planted a tree back in 1997, as did the now king charles when he was prince of wales. They both planted trees at the site here. Behind me. So, for this community, the funeral today will be a time to reflect on the losses that they have experienced. But of course, her majestys visit as well. There are no major events taking place across wales today, no big screens, no ceremonies or Services Specifically taking place. It will be a moment for the people of wales to gather in their homes, in pots together, to remember her majesty, and of course, her service, thats felt so strongly here in this village. Gentlemen, thank you all. Well, todays service at Westminster Abbey will be the first full states Service Funeral since the death of Winston Churchill 1965. Join us martin bell was a junior reporter at the State Funeral, and hes with us now. Its good to talk to you again, martin. I hope you are very well. What are your memories of that day . My memories are of 80 queue that stretch back over lambeth bridge, but not much further. But it was a very moving i was a very young reporter at the time. I, you know, i think i reported his death from outside his home on a public phone box. One of those press button a, press button be things, shouting down the phone. It was another age. But it was moving. But if you could imagine it, it was on a slightly smaller scale than what is going on now. And huge as the outpouring would be, of course, after the death of princess diana, i was in the abbey then, that event was huge. But it was not a State Funeral. Was huge this is going to be the biggest public event in all of our lifetimes. Indeed, so, just looking as im chatting to you, martin, Police Gathering behind us at Buckingham Palace in preparation for the funeral as it gets underway a little later today. And it was also a State Funeral for Winston Churchill, and that was at the behest of the queen. Yes, yes, yes it was. There is a huge turnout. I met many members of the armed forces afterwards, including my former commanding officer, of whom i dont have a very reverent memory. But for him, it was the high point of his life. And those 4000 on duty today, in and around the palaces, are never going to forget it. Yeah, looking at images as we are chatting to you, martin, the service could take place at st. Pauls cathedral. But then he was taken by river boat along the thames. The vessel thats about that many of us remember. There is this flotilla a smaller boats on this journey. He was then taken to waterloo, i believe, because he wanted to be buried at home in the family home. Interesting that he went by waterloo. Im not sure if you can confirm the story, but because the french leader was here, he wanted to go via waterloo as a final snow but to the french. I think that is probably so. As i said, irony. But also, water was his natural medium, of course, as he first sea lord, twice. And of course he had a large there. I believed in planning his own funeral. He wanted it to be grand, and it was grant. And he had something to say to the french, im sure there is another way of saying. But that of course was Charles De Gaulle at the funeral. Dave, so what are your plans to watch the queens funeral today . Im just going to do it quietly at home. Im, im, a lot of wrong turns in my time. So, i got to know her fairly well. At the age of 84, i do not think i was up to the long wait. I will watch it reverently and loyally in my home. And take with me a lot of happy memories. Did you ever meet the queen . Oh yes, indeed. I covered her to the west coast of america in 1983, which was sort a thank you for the american help in the focus for. And why was a backbench mp, it must been the 2000s, she invited a whole bunch of us backbenchers to meet at Buckingham Palace. And she, she clearly knew quite well, because i had met her before. What i remember, i dont even remember. It was an interesting election. The constituency of tat and in 1997. And she and the duke had a. And one of the things about meeting The Royal Family is you dont ask them questions. So i dont know which horse she bet on. But i can guess. Wow, it is lovely to talk to you, martin this morning. And seeing you in such good health. Martin, good to talk to you. Thank you, kay. Looking at the journey for her majestys coffin later. It will go from westminster to windsor. At the end of the Funeral Service, outside Westminster Abbys great western, the queens coffin will be mounted on the State Gun Carriage of the royal navy. A huge procession involving members of The Royal Family will travel down whitehall. Hundreds of representatives of armed forces from across the services and commonwealth realms will process across horse guards and on to the mall. The queen will not be drawn past Buckingham Palace for one final time, before the procession, armed forces lining the route, arrives at Wellington Arch. There, by hyde park corner, the coffin will be transferred to the state host, and a Funeral Cortege will leave for windsor. It will travel through west london beyond the limits of the capital and passed Heathrow Airport before arriving at Windsor Castle. There, a new procession will begin at the long, walk and move into the castle. The hearse, scores a soldiers, courtiers, and The Royal Family will process to the steps of st georges chapel, the very church where the queen said goodbye to her husband, Prince Philip. Inside, The Royal Family, foreign royalty, the Prime Minister, world Prime Ministers, and nights of the garter will gather for Committal Service led by the dean of windsor. The Historic Chapel choir, at the end of the service, the queens most Senior Adviser the lord chamberlain will ceremonially break his throne of office and place it on the coffin. And then, one last act. The National Anthem will be some, god save the king, marking the final moment of her nations farewell to her majesty Queen Elizabeth ii. We will then see the queen coffin come past where we are now, up to hyde park corner, Wellington Arch, making its final journey over to windsor. Counselor Andrew Johnson is the leader of the council for the royal borough of windsor and maidenhead. Hello to you, councillor. What a date is for you and your colleagues. Good morning, indeed it is. What a poignant day indeed. And a hugely historic one for the town of windsor. Needless to say, we are deeply honored and humbled for the queens final journey will be along the long walk in windsor. Her final Resting Place will be within the grounds of the castle. A huge day for windsor, a huge day for the nation and indeed a huge day for the world. And one where we are, as i say, deeply humbled and honored to play our small part in. I did come along, counselor, to windsor to try to soak up the atmosphere a little and see how the plans were progressing for todays funeral. It was packed. What are you expecting today . We are expecting record numbers of visitors to windsor. And i would like to thank all of those Tens Of Thousands of people who are visitors to turn out on the course of last week, certainly it has definitely created a very respectable and dignified atmosphere within winds are. But also, i think one that celebrates the life of our late monarch, as well. But we are expecting record crowds along the long walk today. I urge people, indeed, make a plea to people that if you do want to visit windsor, please do get there as early as possible. Please try to use public transport. And do time will be extremely busy indeed. Youre expecting Something Like 150,000 visitors. What advice do you have for people who want to come along . Is public transport Still Available . What do they need to worry about when it comes to road closures . Absolutely, public transport is Still Available. We certainly urge people to use public transport when getting to windsor. The roads will be incredibly busy. Parking, as you will understand, filling up incredibly quickly. I guess what i would also urge people is to also have a plan when you want to leave, as well. Because we are dealing with record crowds. We are dealing with an untested number of people within the. Town number it is a quite small townr those who have visited. You know, plan advanced, plan what time you want to leave. Make sure you have food, drink, water, and all of the rest of it. And also, just be mindful that it might not necessarily be the experience you are used to when visiting windsor due to the crowds. But we do want everybody to have a very safe, secure, and indeed, dignified time within the town. Okay, thank you. Thank you very much indeed, sir. I hope everything goes well for you today. Becky is in windsor for us this morning. Crowds already gathering, becky, im sure. Yes, people already trying to get a spot here by the long walk. This is where the queens coffin will proceed later today, up to st georges chapel behind me in Windsor Castle. Some people have been camping out overnight. Others made the smart decision to get here early this morning, and so they did not have to spend their night in the cold. Two of these people, anita and cole. And you have been following all of the queens not just a funeral today, but everything. The Lying In State, all throughout last week, havent you . Weve been to here last week, and then we, we came a few hours. Went to the queue for the Lying In State on thursday. Why is it important for you guys to be kind of a part of every step of this . I mean, she gave so much to this country over the years. You know, she was a constant reassuring presence. And she deserves so much respect, yeah. We wanted to just come in paris specks personally, in person. Yeah. Part of the process. So nice to see. You actually saw the queen when she was at windsor. Yes. You are camping out here with year yeah, absolutely. We are very for should have a very Close Encounter with a queen. It was a father and sons boy scout camping. We had beautiful weather that we cant. We packed up early. And we are just walking down the long walk here, towards windsor park. And we heard this car rolling in the background. And look back, and there is actually her majesty, drove past us, very elegantly. The window was down. And we were in awe to see. And that was our encounter with her, very nice. Will be emotional for you today when you see the State Funeral going past . Yeah, it will be. She has been a rock. She has been around for all of our lives. And, especially in that respect, i think will be very sad to see her go. And we expect plenty more people to be coming out. Just here, they can hold 96,000 people. Local authorities expect many more to gather in windsor today. Okay becky, thank you. We will be traveling to windsor later to chat with the crowds. So, do stay tuned for coverage throughout the day here. Our coverage of the Funeral Service begins at 9 00 with anna and also alistair bruce. Right now though, for black rod Lieutenant General david leaky is here with us. As well is katy. We saw the police parading just a few moments ago behind us. The crowds are getting into position. You can feel the tension mountain. Yes, tension, im not sure tension is quite the word for it. I think those two sailors who you had on earlier described the emotions they are feeling. Although, sensation they were feeling. That is, i think its a bit like when you are going out as a performer, probably an actor or a test match batman, or sportsman going out on to a big public stage, you are a little bit nervous. But you are also confident, because you are well prepared, well rehearsed, and constantly professional. And a police that weve seen outside we just saw them being deployed, they look like they knew exactly what theyre doing. And you will be saying to all the servicemen who were taking apart in the ceremonial events today whether theyre carrying the coffin, pulling the gun carriage, lining the route, and parading, they will all be very slightly nervous. Which is quite right. But they will be quietly confident that they and of course, you get this team spirit that builds up. If youre doing it with a lot of other people, you dont feel that youre the only person out there. Its not like, perhaps, a test bats men when you are facing a fast bowler. You are doing it corporate eventually, collectively, together. And i think that gives you a confidence. And also, its a great feeling doing this in a teamwork together. A stop in some policeman early this morning as its coming. Here they were all standing in a group. There was a group a great camaraderie, and these sort of events bring about great camaraderie. Not just among the servicemen who are taking part of it, but actually amongst the crowds as well. And i noticed that when i was in the queue queuing the other night. The camaraderie coming together. And i think people talk about the queen bringing some unity to the country. And thats true of this event. Theyre all sorts of people in the queue around me when i was queuing. And we all had actually a very am using and sometimes hilarious time together particularly with australian broadcasters. Sure, katie, just looking at the Police Officers behind us, and it always reminds me of that poem stop all of the clocks, theyve got their white cotton gloves on. We have seen them deploy some 10,000 Police Officers, im told, from every service in the uk. And in addition to that, Something Like 6000 Military Personnel. Its the Biggest Police operation that we have seen in this country. This has been, this whole event has been meticulously planned of course for years. There are very few opportunities to rehearse a moment like this. But so much pressure on getting it exactly right, as well. And to see now, the police that are already outlining the street, immaculately turned out with the white gloves, the perfect uniforms. Gloves, the it gives you a taste already of spectral goal that we are gonna be seeing a little bit later this morning. And so, we can see the crowds starting to gather. As i said, when i was coming through gruene park earlier, the station gruene park is going to be the busiest station. So do keep that in mind if you are hoping to come. A law there are other places that you can use for transport in. London and keeping all the leakey stations open and there are viewing platforms as well around hyde park. And indeed, Something Like 125 cinemas opening their doors to broadcast the funeral up and down the country. Bear in mind, that if you do come, it is going to be very difficult for you to get anywhere near being able to see at the coffin as it comes by. You have to be in for the long. Hall and some people question why people make this journey, why they want to be here, just for a fleeting moment of seeing the coffin go past. But it is. You talk to people who have turned out, its about feeling something, isnt it . They may only see a brief moment of the ceremony, the possession going past, but it is about actually feeling something very real. Yes, and it is the people also going to the abbey itself, taking part in the congregation. People will see the heads of state going down there and their bosses, apart from president biden, hes going in his limo. But there are also other people from across the country. In fact, i have a cousin going to the abbey. Hes josh leakey, who won the victoria closs, Victoria Cross and george cross holders have been invited. Yes, indeed so. We can see big ben in the background there, having done its duty. Watching over Hundreds Of Thousands of people as they visited Westminster Hall to pay tribute to her majesty Lying In State. A short journey from Westminster Hall to Westminster Abbey, where the Funeral Service for her majesty the queen will begin at 11 00 this morning. Good, morning it is 3 am eastern, 8 am here in. London im Chris Jansing with msnbcs special coverage of the funeral for Queen Elizabeth ii. Three hours from now United Kingdom and the world will say a final goodbye to the longest serving monarch in this countrys history. Later this hour, the doors will
